Awsome place to get a Ukulele! Gret service and huge variety ranging from cheap beginners Ukes to a professional Hawaiian Ukes.
The staff are super friendly and the customers are too!!! They gave me info on groups of fellow practicioners that meet in different cities.Anyway, after practicing on a starter Uke for 2 months, I was ready for a upgrade! Perfect timing because theyre having holiday sales.I already knew that I wanted a Tenor. I just had to choose between the 3 different types of wood and finish. So I didnt spend much time shopping. I probably spent more time talking with the customers and Janet.Highly recommend this store!
This place was awesome they had everything from an arrangement of ukeleles hanging on the wall and above your head to tuners and more, and they have the cutest white dog who sees extremely well trained just really curious. The owner was this lovely lady she was so kind and wouldnt hesitate to help or even leave the store to grab the ukulele I wanted from her car. Is completely recommend going its awesome and the service is great!
For a 1st timer wanting to buy a Ukulele, this store is perfect. The owners Smiley & Janet Kai are very knowledgeable and so friendly, it was great to support a local business full on 🌺😊
Super friendly owners who patiently answer all of your questions. You can try playing the ukulele in stock too. They have Ohana, Kanilea, Koaloha, Kamaka and other brands. They have a wide range of accessories and provide info for local events.
Bought both a tenor and concert Kala ukulele at this store. Great service and selection. Located in Japan Town, San Jose.
Came in for new ukulele strings expecting to just buy them and look up how to put them on later, but Smiley strung my sons ukulele and tuned it and gave us some good advice on lessons.
Best selection of ukuleles that Ive found in San Jose, ranging from inexpensive beginner models to $1000 beauties.
Very chill, homey kind of place. Not many places around south bay have a good selection of ukes. It was nice to try several different ones in one store.
Wish there was an option for 6 stars lol. This is a really, really, akamai ukulele place! Tons of ukes from as someone else said, beginner specials to $1000+ beauties. Very patient, all the display ukes are in tune, and they were very nice as I tried lots of different ukes, often going back to the same ones again. Ultimately I picked out an inexpensive beginner uke, to get started out with.Other stores will have some ukes, but this store has so many, and such a large selection of books and learning aids, Im not sure it has any equal outside of Hawaii. In case the dark side calls to you and youre tempted to go to a certain guitar-themed center, I cant speak for all ukes there but the one I got was the same price as the big mail-order retailers (Id already decided I didnt mind paying a little extra but that was a nice surprise). They even have one of Cynthia Lins ukuleles on display as well as her latest CD.
Friendly shop owner. Unfortunately I came in during a time when it was busy and the owner was helping out a couple of families. This is the place to go to for ukulele equipment in the South Bay.
The best
