Nathan always gets me in, and as an English chap, understands when I tell him something’s wonky. Charley did my service today AND figured out my lighter fuse was out (which was why my charger wasn’t working) Brighten can work his magic on a porsche engine blindfolded, but I’m relieved Guy doesn’t allow it. Speaking of Guy, always makes time to chat me up while I’m there and let me know I’m appreciated. Car repairs are stressful, but having a shop that you trust, is fair value, and treats you kindly, makes it a rewarding experience. Because every time I leave their shop and drive off, there’s just no other feeling better than shifting into 3rd on Broad St. and feeling that engine want to take flight. The gents at SGS are pros!

I have been working hand in hand with SGS for the better part of 6 months building a dream 996 and the service and customer service has been outstanding! A big shoutout to Nathan, Guy and Britton for being patient with my consistent questions, upgrades and now beast of a 99 996. They have extremely good industry connections and the work performed was a heart transplant, cooling system upgrade/ well simply put it’s a brand new car. Nothing too big or too small for SGS! Been going to these guys for work on my Porsche 911 Carrera for the past 4 years and Ive never walked away disappointed. Always gave me straight answer and always completed the work on time and reasonably priced. Anyone who owns Porsche of any kind, I strongly recommend these guys. They are also very nice too, especially that old chap from England, though he is losing his accent and becoming more Americanized/ ;-)

Arrived on time for my 830 oil change which was estimated at 1 hour. Came back at 930, hadnt started on it yet, so I walked around some more and returned at 1030 -still had not started work, with no apologies given. My time is valuable and I deserve respect, so I will not give my business to SGS due to my experience.

I have been a loyal customer since 1999. I have never been disappointed.

Guy has a loyal following of customers. The reason? He fixes their cars right, the first time. I have been going to Guy since 2006...thats about 8 years, cant think of any other place Id want to go. The labor cost for repairs seems reasonable to me, their hourly rate is about the same as any auto repair shop...and they charge you for the time it took them to do the job, not some hypothetical rate out of a shop labor manual. Prices for parts seem reasonable as well.

New to the place and I usually had my car serviced at the dealership. No dealership in SLO but a friend recommended that I take my 2005 Porsche 911 SGS Independent Porsche. I went there twice to get my standard service and brake pad replacement. I have to say that the place is outstanding for its professionalism and job well done. They definitely know their stuff and Nathan was a consummate gentleman who worked with me to get the job done. I would highly recommend SGS to anyone who is looking for a good mechanic to work on their Porsche.

Very kool. I grew up in a shop and I was traveling for work in the area when my Subaru popped up with a check engine. Seemed Quiet. But I found British to help me out with my code.Couldnt ask for a better place to stop. Thumbs up

Ask people at the local PCA club and they will recommend Guy. Its been that way for years, long before SGS. People who are passionate about the marque will only trust their car to a person who is equally passionate. This is especially true if you have an air cooled model. Professional, personal service and recommendations you can trust.

Bad experience. Guy threw tools, I hate that. Screamed at his employees like they were little children. I will never go back. He has lost his passion if he ever had any. Britain is an awesome mechanic if you can be sure you will get him, Only. Otherwise you would be better taking your chances elsewhere. Sorry Guy but I was not impressed by your show...!!!

The top on my Porsche Boxster S broke late Thursday afternoon in pismo beach. The SLO porsche dealer said they could take a look at it in a week. SGS said they could take a look Friday morning. An hour after I drove in the job was done right and the price was right. Britain did the work. But the whole shop seems to be set up to be helpful. Thank you, SGS.
