They used to be open 24 hours but now close at midnight. Staff is decent but its kind of hit & miss when it comes to niceness.

I usually come in shortly before closing.I always enjoy the very short lines, if any, and a great assortment of food that costs less than most grocery stores.The store is always kept very clean and I feel comfortable shopping there until closing time every time I come in.I find the staff is always friendly & Go out of their way to keep the customer always happy.In all, one of my favorite grocery stores in the area. For not having specialty items generally, it is great.There is a Trader Joes right next door to it for the higher end items if desired.

This Food 4 Less is the better ones in this county. Has the freshest produce and better quality meat. Butchers are very helpful and accommodating. Staff friendly. Clean store.

Now THATS customer service! A warehouse full of food at great prices! The greatest selection of produce and meat. ( If thats your thing). Tons of daily needs like laundry soap. Associates are great and helpful.

I enjoy shopping here. Usually just to grab something for lunch. Its not too crowded and can get around and grab what you need fairly quickly. Checking out is the only real short coming. Theres no express or self checkout and lines get backed up with grocery cart shoppers. When they open additional checkouts the other customers can be pretty rude and back it up with more cart shoppers.

Good to have a 24/7 store. Reasonably priced. Meat is good quality. Great place to buy in bulk.

This is the place if you are looking for a variety of meats and much more. I personally have a large family and need a grocery store this big and great to shop at twice a month. Open 24/7 for our convenience. Thanks food 4 less👍

They wouldnt let me in 5 minutes before closing but then let some white people in after me

While it was easy to find what I was shopping for, and check out quickly, I was disappointed to see that the cashier was not wearing their mask correctly (nose out) and made absolutely no effort to correct it. It didnt look like it had slipped down, but more like he was resentful over having to wear the mask and purposely wearing incorrectly. I tried to keep behind the plexiglass. The cashier was an older man with gray hair, somewhat balding with a pot belly. Looking around the other cashiers were wearing theirs correctly, I would have changed lanes but he was already checking my stuff out. I would rather shop at Trader Joes nextdoor because their staff is more considerate. The only reason I came here was because there was a long line at Trader Joes, but next time Ill just wait in line, rather than deal with inconsiderate staff. When you have many options on where to shop, why risk unnecessary COVID-19 exposure from one lame employee? I cant recommend this store for this reason, I wouldnt want anyone to pick something up, especially since there are more contagious strains of virus out there now.

The rotisserie chicken was the size of a cornish game hen. Embarrassing size for the price. Go to Smart and final and get a 3 lbs chicken for the same price. Shame on you! These are hard times!

These folks have a huge selection and the greatest prices around!! I was astounded at how low some of their products are (and no, they were not close to expiring). Their fruits a d veggies are the best Ive ever seen...huge selection and super fresh. I HIGHLY recommend this supermarket, even if you have to drive out of your way to go there. Theyre the best in the entire area!!!!

It was okay I never been in a Food 4 Less the guy behind the register was very nice my Andersens split pea soup is $0.50 cheaper can than bonds or oh I cant remember what other grocery store they have here so if I lived in California I would probably shop there

I usually go here when in the area. Really clean & prices are good. They arent cleaning grocery carts & signage indicated they were out of sanitary wipes. All workers worn masks. Havent seen handicapped riding carts but they may have them. Plenty of parking.

Always a good thing going to food for less, but I noticed alot of empty shelves today.

Terrible shift manager. I had to go through hoops just to get a .50 cents coupon refunded to me . Never had problem with Ralphs their sister company. Will never go back to that store again. She kept on telling me to calm down when I have to wait when shes just in front of me. She should be fired! Customer is always right!

Not a bad place to shop. Good prices, some good brands, and few good meat and produces. You dont find everything there but you dont find everything in any single grocery store. You usually have to visit different stores to buy all the brands and products the family like and if you keep good prices in mind. And last but not least, thats really weird to see birds flying around inside the store. Birds get into the store and you can easily see them over the floor or flying all over the place which makes you doubt about the sanitary conditions of the products on the shelves and open freezers.

The store is nice and clean for the most part they seemed to be well stocked as well no lines witch is also a big plus no waiting in line...

We fly out of SLO quite frequently and I made a stop at Food 4 Less on my way home after dropping my husband off at the airport. What a great market. Everything is displayed so nicely. Fruit and vegetables looked like they just were freshly picked. Yes, I am very impressed with Food 4 Less and I will stop there on my next visit to the airport.

Food 4 Less has always been, and continues to be, a great place to shop for any sized grocery needs. The food is fresh and the prices cant be beat. This particular store is open 24/7. Now thats convenient! I wholeheartedly recommend Food 4 Less.

They have food 4 less. Its a no frills grocery store they have to bag your own groceries. But if you dont mind that youre looking to save some money then its the place for you.

Found everything I needed. Its well stocked.

I did my shopping in the morning about 9 am and it went fast.from finding my needs to checking out . Could of used 10 minutes give or take, in the whole process . Everyone of the employees that morning was friendly. When I went through the checkout, the cashier was as friendly as one of the congregation of a church I used to go to . ( victory outreach Lompoc ) The prices are very fair, the stock was plentiful, and quality of produce and product didnt leave me wondering if it might be tainted due to substantial machinery in the supplier of product or produce . Plenty of parking is also a plus at the foods 4 less in the area.I definitely recommend this place to shop at in the mornings if you need to get your groceries or whatever you may need at the time . I will return and will let my close friends know about this store

Open 24 hours a day, its a blessing to me as a person who works nights. i love they still have a butcher and their meat is locally sourced. when i make anything homemade i know they will have the stranger spices and cuts of meat.

I am overall happy with Food 4 Less with one big exception, Milk. We drink a lot of milk and purchase it with the farthest expiration date marked on the gallon jug. All to often it goes bad within 4 days. Its always ice cold when we pt it in our cart just before checking out and going right home. Somewhere along the line its under refrigerated. Also our Food 4 Less on Higuera St no longer carries 4% milk. 3.5% is all we can get which requires the purchase of heavy cream to have to add to our milk. Believe me you can detect the wateryness of 3.5% milk over the 4%. We now have to purchase our milk elsewhere.

The prices beat Vons certainly but the staff (especially at night) need people skills training asap. I live in SLO... not homeless yet Im treated like Im under their eyes I mean literally followed around the store and questioned may I help you find anything? More than once tonight alone I was under their thumb. Part of this shopping experience is the not needing a clerk to help and allow me to decide if and when I do. It would be the more experienced employees whom ask and ask.Give me a brake....The store itself is clean and stocked.Keep a restroom always open.I dont steal but if I have to use one by all means frisk me down.I give this store barly three stars.Because people get hungry and sometimes they have to pee between 9pm and 8am and not only when a manager is on duty.

Its a grocery store. They sell groceries. They are cheaper for the most part than other stores, as the name would suggest. Large variety of produce. Good for buying items in larger quantities. I like to get my baking items and canned stuff here. Meat selection is excellent.

Wont let customers use the bathroom at night. Difficult to get around the store. Some prices are great some are worse then other stores.

Food 4 Less has lower prices that all of the local supermarkets. Their produce dept is excellent and much cheaper than other markets. Clerks are friendly. They always have great buys on sale items.

This is a great store to find bulk items at low prices. The selection of produce and goods are competitive and fresh. The parking lot can get busy but I always manage to get in and out no problem.

Many of the prices here are higher than Trader Joes next door, or other markets in town, and you have to bag your own. They do have good produce, which is why they get three stars instead of two.

Food 4 Less? The quality definitely shows it. Food on the shelves is often out of date and expired, especially in the produce section. I go at least once a week and often find the packaged mushrooms moldy and the thyme moldy as well. They need better quality control or else someone is going to get sick soon!

A short trip, 1/2 dozen things. Found everything quickly and checkout was smooth. Parking lot was a bit busy, but it was a little after 5 pm.

Carries the basics, nothing unusual or out of the ordinary. The store is always clean, the produce is always fresh. The prices are lower than anyone else in town. It is conveniently located, plus it is next door to Trader Joes that carries most of the things they dont.

A mixed bag of good bargains and overpriced food. You can easily buy in bulk the basics but buying something like a tub of almomd butter will cost up to $18 while its only $10ish at target. It makes me sad that there are birds trapped in the building. The lighting is also trippy and not conducive to a relaxing shopping experience. The checkers are super nice and fast and I love the dual sided conveyor belt.

Great prices and offers a lot of Hispanic ingredients not readily available in other SLO stores. Lots of choices, great prices, 24 hours a day. With Trader Joes next door, this is a must visit grocery store when getting ingredients for cooking.

Good prices on some items, but not everything. Dont assume youll be paying less for items just because the name says all. Be aware and pay close attention.

I had a cashier older lady, who was not polite and snarky while checking out. The worst part was the floor manager was right there and as well gave me a snarky reply. Neather calmly explained my question or situation, just a snarky, short, unfriendly remark. As I was was done checking out and packing my 200$ of food and the cashier finally felt needed to explain this to me. Her tone was defining obviously she was just being condensending. I will never return. Id rather pay more money at Trader Joes or ANY other grocery store whos manager does not allow that kind of customer service.

I live in Morro Bay and come to San Luis to shop here weekly. BEST meat department, better than any super market here in Morro Bay. Very clean store.

The food might be cheaper? But when they have 12 check stands and only 2 or three cashiers checking . The lines are long and the cashiers are slow it makes it not worth shopping there.Best to go after 10 pm.
