Ive had my Mustang for 16 years. The car was the 40th Year Anniversary model of the Mustang so I did my best to take care of her.Yes, my car is a her. She is beautiful and definitely has an attitude. I stopped driving her when she hit 95K because I didnt want to go over 100K.She sat in my garage and I would start her up from time to time. I even thought about selling her but she is hard to break up with because she still runs like dream. Smooth and fast.I decided after I retired, yes Im an old guy, to see if I could do some modifications on the car. I kept seeing this new color gray the new cars were sporting and it looked great.I had to go to a car dealership to get this particular gray color code. I looked around and requested quotes from several auto body shops in my area.I had several offers to paint my car but I didnt want to pay an arm and a leg to get it done. I received a quote from CIDs Auto Body and was impressed by the quote given to me.Now Im the type of guy who likes things done correctly the first time. I wanted the entire car painted inside and out.I wanted the engine compartment, door jams, trunk, side panels, etc, etc, painted professionally.I met with Johnathan who assured me he could definitely match the color I requested and paint the entire car for a very reasonable price. The price quoted was very reasonable.I actually thought the price was to reasonable. I figured after the company got my car they would fluff the price. Johnathan throughout the whole process maintained the price he gave me. Wow, a company that stands by their word.Its great to see there are companies out there that still believe the customer is right. CIDs is that type of company. An O.G. in the business.I gave Johnathan my car and kept my fingers crossed. Johnathan kept me informed throughout the whole process. I have numerous pictures of the car being dismantled and painted piece by piece.I was truly impressed. The paint job also came with a lengthy warranty. The day I picked up my car I was in amazement.She was beautiful. The paint job was awesome. The shine and the color were perfect. I later found out that Johnathans father, Fernando, painted my car. This guy can burn.My car truly looked amazing. It brought a tear to my eyes but then I realized the area where I was standing was a little Dusty and that is why I teared up.Dust will do that to you sometimes . I was so pleased with the job CIDs Auto Body did for me.Ive had so many offers to buy the car but my girl isnt for sale. If you want outstanding work and professional service you need to go to CIDs. They are busy for a reason.. their work is excellent! From frame straightening to body work to paint, they do it all and they do it well. Brought my 1988 Nissan hardbody back to life after an accident, which is difficult because its so old and parts are hard to find, but they did so and did well. The new paint job makes it look as good as the day it rolled out of the factory!

I was in an accident recently and I took my car here to be repaired. From the initial call all the way until completion Johnny was very polite and helpful. Throughout the repair process he kept me updated and was in communication with the insurance which took a lot of stress off of me. Later on I was in contact with Sasha who also gave me updates and had great communication. They did a great job and provided a timely repair of my vehicle.

Yesterday I happened to witness a woman accidentally tear off the skid plate on her SUV from a curb stopper in front of Noodles & Co. in San Marcos.After hearing the horrendous sound I saw a couple of guys immediately jump to her aid so I thought no need to assist. After placing my order I step back outside and the women was now alone with two kids desparately trying to get a hold of her husband with no help in sight.I got the jack out of my car and start raising the front end to attempt to push the skid plate back into place.Plenty of people walked by without even bothering.SPOILER ALERT: I know next to nothing about cars but I was at least trying. I was just the guy who happened to have a shiny new jack and tire iron that saw it happen and felt morally obligated to assist.Truth be told I wasnt even sure I was doing it right and was a little concerned that I was going to damage her car further.Thats when the CEO of CID Auto Body & Paint showed up and jumped in to help her (and me) without hesitation. He was dressed really nice in slacks, button up, and nice dress shoes but he didnt even hesitate before crawling around on the ground and getting his clothes and hands dirty.He obviously had plans to be somewhere else doing something else but he stayed until the skid plate was sufficiently neutralized from additional damage and would at least get her home or to the nearest body shop.After he was all done he mentioned that he had an auto body shop and gave her a card. There was never any pressure or quid pro quo like I will help you out now but you have to take it to my shop immediately.It was more like calming her down on how bad the damage was and repair cost from someone in the know with credentials to prove it.The husband showed up right as we were wrapping up and thanked us profusely. Frankie, the CEO, didnt stop there. He removed the jack and carried it over to my car and helped me put away the jack and tire iron then he introduced himself to me as the CEO and gave me his card.I just thought to myself if he is willing to do this for complete strangers and on his personal time outside of the office, I can only imagine how he treats his actual customers and what lengths he goes to help them with their auto body and painting challenges.Needing auto body work isnt something you ever hope for or even plan for. Its more of a trauma you experience coupled by having to quickly find a company you can trust only adds to the trauma. Thankfully, I have already found the right company now I just hope I will never need them.Thanks for restoring my faith in humanity Frankie.

For a while Ive been looking for a place to get my spoiler painted and installed for a reasonable price. I spoke to Johnathan and got great for both my spoiler paint and installation and I abosolutely loved the after product!! Definitely coming back to get more parts painted and added on to my car. They are also very sweet and kind people Highly recommend !!

Im a big car guy so I really scrutinize the work someone does on my car. The guys at CID auto body really had their work cut out for them. They knocked it out of the park though. I had them repaint a panel on my nearly new vw gti and the quality is better than new. No drips, overspray, or orange peel texture. In addition they did it in the time frame they quoted and at a price near the cheapest of all the estimates I was given.

Im a commercial driver and have the unfortunate problem of dealing with small fender benders too often. I have taken my vehicle to CID twice this year and am about to head there for a third time. prices are reasonable with excellent knowledge and craftsmanship. I would go here for all my body shop needs and they do a great sealant job on the paint.

I gave a 3 because they were nice but my car was supposed to be done by Friday. And I didnt get it until the following Thurs. Problems finding a part. Even that would have been ok. But they never called. I called Friday and they said so sorry should have called it will be Monday. Nothing on Monday. Called Tuesday. Said sorry well call when we have part. Then they asked questions about part. I had been extremely clear that there were 2 parts and I need the correct one. Finally when I called Wednesday late afternoon and it was done. This cost me 35.00 per day on a rental car. I should have paid for the car Monday-Friday but ended up paying until the following Thurs. $35.00 X 6 days was $210.00 of extra expense I should not have had to pay.

I took my 2002 Ford F150 XLT Pickup with 229,000 miles to CIDs and had a complete paint job. They did a fantastic job! It looks like it just came off the showroom floor in fact it looks better than it did new. Francisco and Jonathon were terrific and really took care of me and I can say that if there were six stars that would be the rating I would give them. This is the third vehicle I have had painted there and the service has always been superb and it is the only place I will take a vehicle for paint and or body damage. If you want a really professional job I recommend taking your vehicle to CIDs in San Marcos.

I went to this place to have minor work done to my car. The car is a 2006 dodge charger. The spoiler clear coat had been peeling, there was a spot where I had backed into another car that had paint transfer, and minor spots and scratches on different parts of the car. I went to two different auto shops besides this one so I could compare prices, and compared to Cid, the other places wanted to gouge me. Finally got to Cids and was met with a VERY fair price, timely service, and an excellent job. Id highly recommend this place to everybody if you want quality work at a very reasonable price!
