Happened by here while in town visiting family. I found a great deal on some oral health probiotic lozenges in the refrigerated section. I returned a few days later to get another bottle, and several more things! The Happy Lane CBD softgels are GREAT for pain, and just $10 for a bottle of 10ct to try out. The woman at the counter was an angel, so incredibly sweet, said she had been there 12 or 13 years I believe. Its the spot in the San Marcos area to stop first for natural and wellness minded products. Support this business!

My visit took place on Saturday the 27th. I had placed a special order that was waiting for pickup. Since my three years in the state of Texas, I have been to this store about a handful of times if not more. My husband and I would come after our workouts close by. I found the store charming and reminded me of certain stores back in St. Louis. At first I thought I was having double vision when I noticed that I was seeing twins. Little did I know that it was two brothers that owned Cornucopia. How awesome. I found Dan and David very helpful and friendly. I appreciate them helping me place special order and holding them for me to pick up at my convenience. I would highly recommend this place. If you dont see it on the shelf ask because chances are they can get it. Always think about supporting your local small businesses. Peace out :)

I love this store so much. I’ve been frequenting it the last couple weeks trying to find cures for my recurring UTI’s! Everything I’ve got has given me relief. The store clerks are so helpful and they had anything I needed. They also have a good selection of soaps and incense and other goodies! I will be back!

Couldn’t find what I was looking for at HEB, but the gal working in the “Healthy Living” department sent me across the street to The Cornucopia and they had it in stock! As an integrative health coach who is new to the area, I’m pleased to have a reliable, locally-owned store to send my clients to. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

I absolutely love this store and the owners. Ive never been to any other place & received the help I get at this store. My daughter had Leukemia and we would go there to get natural things to help her with her immune system. I am forever traumatized for having to wear a mask for her 2 year battle.. I cannot wear a mask.. Cancer doctors told us that masks do not work.. so they are very accommodating to people who cant wear a mask. These guys rock with their knowledge. And I always love supporting small businesses ❤

Im not smart enough to shop there. The unmasked man waiting on me (masked) told me masks dont work. I told him I dont want what I bought got my money back and went across the street to HEB where I bought what I really wanted for less than half.I dont usually ask why someone is not wearing a mask but if ithey are n the health business I make an exception.

Great store, one recommendation is to drop Pure Encapsulations brand because its owned by Nestle and inevitably Monsanto. I see a lot of maskzis leaving 1 star reviews. Message to them: Your mask is worthless, you gave up your identity by wearing it so shut your mouth. You are more than likely a GMO human now who needs not pretend to be healthy by shopping at a health food store.

Great store. It has a bit of everything if you are looking for organic, natural foods. I love their bulk session. A great variety of supplements and natural cleaning supplies. Customer service is absolutely awesome.

Great little place for vegan products not sold anywhere else in town. Also has cbd products and a whole wall of wonderful vitamins and supplements. Cornucopia staff is also quirky, cool, and super helpful.

Wonderful health food store (and so much more!) They have lots of cool items like natural incense (not the perfume type). Special Zot licorice gummies. Excellent produce. Very informative staff... so nice and friendly and kind. Highly highly recommend!

Used to enjoy going into Cornucopia; however I will never give them my business again. It’s like I’m being watched by the owner (older man) everytime I enter the store. As an African American woman I find this very rude and it’s such a shame that the color of my skin presents a threat to your OVERPRICED store. Most of the products are stale as well. You could honestly find cheaper products online, which is what I do now. Most things I bought were always in the back, but next thing you know there is an employee making it obvious they are watching me. I never have ANY intention to steal, especially from a locally owned business. Cornucopia I hope you read this, because it hurt my feelings and you’ve lost a loyal customer.

The absolute best store. Stop buying your glyphosate sprayed fake vegetables and fruits from HEB the super conglomerate, and buy them from organic farmers who care for their crops.I’ve been shopping here for around a year now and will never buy an produce from anyone else. I’m someone who reads ingredients and considers all factors. This place covers you. No bs GMO’s, no artificial flavorings or colorings, etc...Almost everything they sell is clean, NUTRIENT DENSE foods. If more people were aware of what they were eating, this place would be way more popular. Thank you cornucopia

The Cornucopia in San Marcos is such a gem. They have the best organic produce, gluten-free, specialty products, and every supplement Ive ever needed and more. I feel like the prices are absolutely fair-on par with Whole Foods if not cheaper. I have been shopping here for almost two years and am constantly amazed at how such a small store can carry so many great groceries and natural products. And on top of it all, the owners and staff are incredibly helpful, genuinely kind, and provide the best customer service. I feel so lucky to have this place in town.

Not sure what I can say that other commenters have already said. An excellent establishment. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable. If you dont know what youre looking for but know your ailment, just ask. They will know right where to lead you to the best product for your needs. They are also fun and congenial.

Cornucopia has a good selection of high quality foods and supplements. David, Dan and the rest of the staff are very nice and highly knowledgeable. They will be happy to answer questions you have thats health related. The store is very clean and has a welcome feel to it. Its one of my top health food places to shop at.

Although this store is a pretty good independent health food store, I had to give it one star because the store is not practicing basic safety protocols during the Covid pandemic. On multiple occasions, I have observed both owners with their masks pulled down (nose and mouth exposed) as well as an employee stocking shelves with no mask. This is a pretty small store with tight aisles; it is especially important in this scenario for everyone to wear masks in the store. The first time I saw this lack of basic safety precautions, I asked the employee stocking shelves to pull his handkerchief over his face; my polite request was met with sarcasm and the handkerchief was pulled up just over his mouth. I informed the owner of this; he apologized, however, the next time I was in the store, both owners and the same employee had no masks on. This place will do curbside pickups, but after observing the lack of masks, I am concerned about their pandemic related hygiene practices in the store. For instance, If they arent bothering with masks, then are they sanitizing the bulk bins regularly, if at all? Family run health food stores are already a dying breed, its too bad they arent doing everything they can to keep themselves and customers safe right now.

They don’t require masks. Their customers don’t wear them and neither do their workers. Great place to catch Covid from some gross hippie.

This business is not requiring masks for employees or customers. Lack of covid precautions during what is likely the worst period of the pandemic in a small store with narrow aisles is mind blowing.

Probably my favorite store in San Marcos. Honestly, my experience living in SM would be totally different (for the worse) without Cornucopia. So thankful for them!

The service is excellent and the selection is great on their fresh organic food, the selection of vitamins and minerals is one of the best Ive ever seen. 1 thing that makes a difference with this store is that the employees know what they are talking about and are very knowledgeable about the product they sell.

I really loved this store, Ive been shopping here since I moved to San Marcos *years* ago. Im apart of the rewards program, I buy my shampoo here, strictly only here and other vegan goodies because I love supporting small businesses, especially in my hometown and especially small businesses that sell amazing organic products and various vegan items. I went in the other day and this run-in was so uncomfortable. I felt like I was being thoroughly watched while I was looking at shampoo and browsing the tea aisle with my little brother. No customer should feel that way in your store when theyre wanting to give you their business. Unfortunately I will not be coming back because of that. I was met with glares and felt overall un-welcomed. Very sad and confused about it.

Im visiting from WA state & made a quick run-in looking for almond yogurt. Store personnel was unsure but walked me back to the yogurt case & did find the brand I like in WA. He was friendly & very polite & helpful. I told him I would certainly recommend him & his store to my local family members.

I am Hispanic. Always go there. Awesome peeps very helpful and knowledgeable. Perspective is key. All in good intention from self can only bring back positive vibes. Prices are as equal as their value. Better to pay now than end up given them back to the pharmaceuticals. Namaste.

I like this store better than the one in New Braunfels because the staff here is nice. They have a good selection and competitive pricing. Store could use some updating as it appears to be a bit “junky/messy” and the office door was wide open which looked to be a bit of a disaster.

Tony & Allison youre both to sensitive. I shop there 3 times a week. Its a great store like none other. There are items that heal and treat conditions that no others have. Sometimes they dont greet me and they know me. No Im not white privileged, what ever that stupid statement means. Im White, NA and Black (tri-racial). Try not to be so tender. Most white people are not out to get you. If they dont greet you find one of the owners or workers, I assure you they will help you and answer ALL of your questions. Ive personally seen them extensively help several Hispanic and Black people. Leave the narrative other people have plant in your mind and move on with your life and know that you have the divine spark of life from the Great Spirit Everywhere. This store is a nice hidden gem in San Marcos, the small town between two cities. I wish Id checked it out sooner than I did upon moving here. The variety, quality and value of the supplements and herbs is terrific. Dan and Dave are kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Its a nice, convenient place to shop for most of your health food needs. Beats driving to Austin:))

Cornucopia has a friendly and knowledgeable staff thats helped me find anything from the right probiotics for me to the best shampoo for color-treated hair. They have a good but small selection of general health products, and fair prices on most items. Their rewards system helps negate costs when I buy pricier things. I go for dairy alternatives I cant find at HEB and natural beauty products, and their selection of both usually doesnt disappoint. They carry a few local brands and farm-fresh eggs as well. Support local and give this place a try!

As a vegan, its very important for me to be able to get products that are plant based and nutritional in addition to the big chain stores fresh fruits and vegetables. Cornucopia has all my ethical vegan products for cleaning and eating and is locally owned for that added touch of goodness.

I love this place. In the land of mega giant grocery stores this twin brother owned natural foods and supplements store is a much needed solace where I can get certain things I had to previously get online. And there is no substitute for the kind friendliness of the staff.

The Cornucopia is pretty much the only health foods store in San Marcos. the staff is friendly, and they have a decent selection of natural foods. But they only sell frozen bread, and an overwhelmingly strong smell of herbal incense overtakes the store.

The first store I have truly felt connected with. David, Dan and the rest of the staff are wonderful, highly knowledgeable about supplements and just living a healthy life. They are so down to earth and make you feel quite welcome. Cornucopia is the place to be at!

First time to Cornicopia since living in New Braunfels for 2 years! We have a nice health food store here but in my honest opinion, though it’s a little bigger they don’t carry the same things AND the prices seem way better here. They also carry a decent amount of fresh produce. The main reason for 5 stars is the service!!! I will be traveling the 25 minutes to come here! Thank you Cornucopia, for accepting people as they are, no matter color, size or how much art they have on their body!

I hear good things about the store, yet I believe it falls way short from what people said about the place. the employees seem to have certain people or race they help . I entered and no one greater me nor asked me if I needed help. while I was in the store three different people came into the store all Caucasian yet were greater and asked if they needed help finding anything. As I walked out I didnt even get a good bye. Dave is your store one that doesnt address Hispanics, because I sure got that impression. Mi Raza why do shop where you not wanted, maybe we need to stand tall in front of the store to let all Hispanics know they are not wanted there.

I like to support the small, local guys, but when they dont support the small guys Im out! Health food should not be exclusive or available to only a few. This store doesnt take the food assistance card which elliminates the ill & poor.

Employees are super friendly to some and not to others. I sent my daughter in and she said the lady barely acknowledged her however when an older lady walked in right after her the employee was immediately welcoming and asked what she was looking for.

The people here are genuinely kind and helpful. There are quality options in the store that I cannot find anywhere in San Marcos and the prices are no more expensive than whole foods in Austin etc. Truly a wonderful place.
