First time here and have to say that the beer selection is very good.The waiters are very nice, but on a constructive feedback they should talk more to non-regulars.There were clients, like my group, that would have preferred them to speak about the different beers rather than asking, what can I serve you?This is not a bar!!!! So, sell your product.Other than that, I will be back!!!!!!!

Definitely an older crowd bar. Both bartenders and the cook drink and eat on the job. I got the meat and cheese platter and was so disappointed. Literally the most expensive on the food menu and was just thrown together. This place needs to go on Bar Rescue. At least it was somewhat clean. Not the bathrooms though.

A cool bar near the university. They have many different beers on tap. The owner really knows his beer and he was fun to talk to. The beers are good. It wasn’t crowded when we came, plenty of room inside and outside. Parking was easy to find.

Hubby and I ate here around 3:30 on a Friday. We were seated immediately. All tables and bathrooms were clean and servers wore masks (contrary to what a previous reviewer claimed.) All the indoors is beautifully remodeled if you remember Yorba Cantina, it is much nicer now!Food took a little long getting out, but theyre a new business so we gave them some grace. We ordered electric fries, electric tacos, fish tacos, and the beignets for dessert. My favorite by far was the fish tacos. They had large chucks of cod perfectly cTheir beer list was good and we enjoyed a fruity IPA Juicy ??something and their hef. Loved the hef! We will be back! Its very nice to have a nicer restaurant on this end of town.Update 8/4/20Went for lunch on a Tuesday. Wish they had a lunch menu because food is pricey for a lunch! Food was yummy! Beer was excellent!

Best brewery in South Bay without a doubt. I wont classify myself as a regular but this is one place I`m proud to take my friends from the city or from other states. They have a great selection of taps. For all the beer connoisseurs, I would definitely recommend the unique Sid`s Serrano Pale Ale. I haven`t tasted anything remotely awesome as this one.I have generally been here to have a relaxing cold brew. This place has a super chill vibe especially in the patio area. Also, you can buy a 6 or 12 pack from their fridge which is super awesome.Definite recommend to anybody who loves to chill out with a great beer

Beers selection seem hap hazard. Seems like a great menu of beers but tasting seems to lead me to think there is no one who understands beer and making sure there is a great over all selection. Good place and I may go back but there other places that are so much better.

It was UEFA Championship Saturday and I needed a place to enjoy the match. I entered Taplands and found the couch seats. The bartender controlled the room like Steve Nash ran the Suns. On this day a Farmers Market was nearby and I picked up some grub. The bartender noticed me with my purchase and quickly let me know it was okay to eat it in the bar. Wow! Thank you. The atmosphere and clean bathrooms were enough to earn 5 🌟 but the quality of customer service puts this place over the top! Hail Real Madrid on this day.

Hazy hazy hazy! Good beer, fair prices, and friendly service with indoor (when past the Pandemic) and outdoor seating warmed by a university culture and environment. There are no strangers here, only people you havent met before.

Been here twice from when I come visit my brother in Union City. Their sandwiches are out of this world and great recommendations on the beer!

Casual bar with great beer.

They have adapted pretty well. Added ample outdoor seating, nice QR code approach. Food menu is satisfying to. But two things tho,- First currently there is a gasleak or a septic tank that needs to be fixed near by. Secondly The costs are crazy!!! I get that Covid is challenging for all business but when a round of beer for 5 folks ends up being 60+ bucks. I guess Ill drink at home with my own rotten egg smell. Anyhow cheers to the staff and the management great people.

The BEST place around, by far, for great beer and a great environment. Great with kids as well as dogs. Friendly staff who remembers their customers. My favorite place to go in the Bay Area.

Its a cool place with a wide selection of local beer. They also have WiFi and outlets to charge your laptops, phones, etc.

The dancers were OK, but not great. I was really expecting river dance style, but it was just regular tap dancing style. However, things got really interesting when they pulled out the guillotine and beheaded a trump supporter.

Its really nice to sit outside and have a beer in their outdoor seating area. I wish their snack menu was more extensive, but they do serve warm olives which is nice! Their beer selection is impressive too, plenty of neat choices and it seems to change pretty regularly.

Love this place. Excellent beer. Excellent cheese plates. Wish seating was more accomodating to come watch a game. Although, the staff is great. Fun, funny, and happy staff certainly makes for a nice place after a long work week. Looking forward to gong back

Cool little place with a great variety of beers on tap. I was also able to find a pack of a beer I liked in their fridge section. Definitely planning on coming back to see whats on tap next.

Good selection of beer! However there isnt a great amount of seating and it does get crowded. Especially on a rainy day when you cant use the outside space, it might not be the best. Other than that though, lots of good beer at normal prices. Works out well for me because its walking distance from the university.

Really need to fix their online reservation system, currently it lets you make a reservation, then when you get there they tell you its full and there are no tables for the rest of the night, I was really disappointed

This place is growing on me as I continue to visit. They rotate the beer selection daily. Theres always something new to try. Very warm and cozy inside. The outdoor drinking patio is the best on a nice day. Might change to a five star when I eat the food.

Its a good place for beer. Nice selection both draft and in vessel. I do admit there are more flavored beers than I usually prefer (various adjuncts) but its a reasonable selection and a nice space.

One of the greatest selections of craft beers on tap in the south bay. Good ambiance. Can feel a little crowded at times but comfy overall.

Really busy place. Great selections on tap and to go, but limited on food. The sandwich I had was served with chips and was very well prepared, the staff was friendly which helped a lot.

I really like this place. One of my new favorite drinking spots. I love that they have different breweries beer on tap. They always rotate them, so they have something new each time I stop by. I only knocked off a star (wish I can do half) because place it gets busy at times and can be difficult to find a seat.

Hands down best beer in the South Bay. Very relaxed vibe, great food, and knowledgeable and friendly staff. High turnover on the taps so make sure you check back often and try to catch them when theyre serving their own beer... Delicious.

Great local spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a variety of craft brews. I was also surprised how good the food was to. Their cheese plates rival those that I have had at numerous wineries and at a fraction of the cost.

Matts got a great thing going on at Taplands - lots of good craft on tap, including regular kegs from Fieldwork, Altamont, Alvarado Street, etc., as well as house brews for growler fills, and package sales to go. Food menu is small, but delicious. Outside seating a plus!

Great food, chef specialties are a must try! The quesadillas are great paired with a nice IPA. Beer is always rotating to something new to try and the bar tenders / owner do a great job recommending stuff to your preference. Atmosphere is very relaxing, always something interesting on the TVs and the music is always diverse. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend trying this cool spot!

The worst customer service! Bartenders are talking to themselves and hi fiving each other all day long and not paying attention to customers. They are rude! Also theres warning signs in the bathroom that say they will call the police to arrest you- Im not joking! The only reason they are busy is because theres no other breweries/bars around them.
