We broke down near pyramid lake/grapevine mountain pass (car overheated). We were towed to mj on Sunday night and had to stay in a nearby hotel. The next morning I showed up to the shop and In(mj mechanic) was very understanding of our situation and our urgency to get home. He worked on the car right away and made it his priority. He was both knowledgeable and thorough with me in explaining what had happened and showing me where the damage was done. He fixed it within a couple hours and even asked me to call him if I had any other questions or issues. Some of the bad comments on google plainly seemed as though people were either impatient or just frustrated. I recently called In to ask him another question regarding my other car and he was happy to help. I would give him 10 stars if I could!
Been taking our cars here for 10 years. Trustworthy, honest and excellent work. We refer everyone here.
Rude man with thick accent… has no respect for customers and gets upset if you can’t understand what he is saying not worth the headache I took my car elsewhere…
Car had overheating issues and he got me in right away and got it resolved in a timely manner.
I recently brought my car to M J auto care to have my serpentine belt changed, they gave me a really reasonable price and had the work finished in no time. Thanks guys!
If you want to pay double dealer cost for parts. He will get it done quickly.
Nice guy, bad mechanic. he had issues timing my 2003 is300 even with the stock exhaust cam gear. it took almost a month to get my car back and it still throws a mis firing code. he wanted to solder in new plugs for the coilpack. I had to tell him multiple times not to solder, only crimp. if you need basic stuff, wiper change, tire air fill up or light bulb exchange you could take your chances with this shop. everything else--go somewhere more competent. if I could get zero stars I would.
Would not go there. Not very honest and he broke the hood latch on my van when he was looking at it.
Thanks MJ for taking care of our car. We were able to drive from Cali to WA. Excellent work and fast. He is your man for any car problems, highly recommended!
Mr. Im is very nice and honest. I know a little bit about cars (I can change brake pads and rotors, oil, and a few other things). Anyways, when Im busy I just take my Toyota or Honda in to MJ and I know I will be taken care of. Prices are fair and they have expertise on old and late model Japanese vehicles. I once saw that they were swapping out a rear differential on a 1st gen Taco (Toyota Tacoma). Too bad Im moving out of the state otherwise I would still be taking my car here.
I have 2 Prius vehicles and after some high repair quotes at the dealer I found Im. Dealer quoted me $3800 to repair an oil leak. Took it to Im, he replaced the gasket for $168 and all has been good. Next, dealer quoted me $4400 to replace a head gasket. Im did it for less than $2000. Im follows the same maintenance schedule as the dealer for less $$. The only exception being Im wants to replace my synthetic oil every 5,000 miles that the dealer was replacing every 10,000 miles. You will likely have to leave your vehicle for most of the day. Target and Peets coffee are across the street and it’s walking distance to the mall
I had a simple job, but they did it well and quickly, at 2/3rds the price of the Stealership down the street. I will be back to give them more challenging work on my other JDM cars...
Ian is quick and fair
Bad experience.
Honest mechanic.
Great service
