The staff where super helpful and friendly. I went in to get tape lighting and they put together everything I needed, including a rheostat and transformer. Highly recommended.

Every lightbulb Ive needed, every time Ive needed a fixture or a question answered, this team of experts can help. Ive never gotten an I dont know, I get a oh yeah, we just got in the hundred watt soft white outdoor globes, theyre right here!. Their fixtures are also gorgeous, just bought one today and installed it myself!

Honestly, as an electrician, their electrical counters prices are a bit high, BUT they have a wider selection of residential circuit breakers than anywhere else in the area. They also have the equipment to custom-bend rigid conduit which is great when you need something 1-1/4 or bigger. They are open Saturday which is great when you need something you forgot to get during the week.

Love their selection of lamps and light fixtures. I have shopped here for years and their prices are the same or better than ‘on-line’ sites and their selection is even better. Great service too. And they always have a good referral to help with my projects.

Had a light fixture we purchased on line and when received, it required some assembly. There is a nut that holds the glass globe in place and there was no way to reach inside with my hand to tighten the nut. The sales guy at Riverside identified that they received some tools for this in their repair group. He then offered to sell me one of these tools fo 50 cents. It worked like a charm! Just another example of what a trained staff can do for your shopping experiance.

Surprisingly good selection of electrical hardware, great service. I needed a very large weatherproof outdoor electrical box . I got blank stares from sales people at Independent Electric Supply and Home Depot. At Riverside, the guy at the counter knew exactly what I wanted and exactly where to find it. Looking at their stock, I saw more than one of the box I needed, and multiple smaller sizes on the shelf. Price was reasonably in line with what I could have bought on line.

The people that work and manage this store are some of the most inconsiderate and unhelpful people if you get on their nerves. They encourage you to ask questions, but get upset when you ask them. I cannot understand why they still work there if they all seem to hate their job so much. On top of that, all of the merchandise and products that they sell are marked up to a price that is just unreasonable, for no reason except to exploit their customers. I DO NOT recommend ever going in there for anything except their lamp repair. If you just look up what youre wanting to buy, I guarantee you can find it online and not feed into their disgusting business

Quality service in an old fashioned way. You wont find a place like this anywhere. Nor will you find such an expansive stock, one that will have a remedy for just about any lighting and electrical issue.

I cant comment on the decorative lighting/light fixtures but I cant imagine doing electrical work without access to their world class inventory of electrical materials and supplies. Mark is a wealth of knowledge and happy to help. The back room with parts to repair lamps and fixtures is a great resource.

Everything here is beautiful and the service is excellent.Although they have the most expensive lights Ive ever seen, they have very reasonably priced lights as well.I was shopping for a rental and didnt want to break the bank, Riverside had nicer AND CHEAPER options than Home Depot.

Helpful sales staff just disinterested in selling to anyone but the biggest most expensive house.Went in today to ask about a $600 ceiling fan and they werent interested in attempting to find me a matching product.This is probably the third time I went in for something theyre listed as a vendor for and walked out disappointed.

I bought a replacement motor for my Broan Exhaust fan, and it turned out the rotation was ccw, not cw as in the original. They found the correct motor and swapped it. Very helpful!

Worst counter help ever. Asked for a replacement switch for a Casablanca fan and after one younger salesperson said Ill see, another older bad tempered salesperson said, they dont make those any more, and we cant order the upgrade. you have to send the whole fan to the factory to be re-configured ! . I said that I have seen them online, and the salesperson snapped, No, they arentwell, I usually, actually never, have done this but, Riverside Electric, you are dead to me. I can get anything you sell online and cheaper. I used to come, for thirty years because of the service, and thats gone, and so am I
