I leased a Volkswagen Tiguan from there. I dealt with David. He was really professional and welcoming.Everything went really smoothly and quickly. I was able to try different cars and make my choice with the advice of the team. The price I got was much more interesting than anywhere else nearby.
I was not happy with their approach. I understand that most women dont know about the mechanics of the product, but I do. I went to buy, outright, a Passat. A gift from my husband. I could have any car I wanted and I chose Passat. I chose the car based on the performance statistics, (timing chain, instead of belt, etc.). I asked for the price on the Passat, they advertised, with an extended warranty and a maintenance package, (oil changed, etc. for the life of the warranty), and was subjected to a variety of questions regarding the look I wanted. Im sad that they saw me as middle-aged woman and assumed I wanted something pretty instead of a product that should be my forever car. I have been driving a 1972 VW beetle for years now, but I drove on to the lot in a rental car and someone made an assumption...bad form.
I called the dealership and was on the phone with the sales manager after asking a few questions the sales manager asked me if I’m retarded and then started mocking me I asked the dealership to apologize for his uncalled for and unnecessary behavior and they have chosen to do nothing instead.Their behavior is acceptable and discriminatory and I would not advise anybody purchase a car here. There are many other dealerships who I am more than happy to treat you with respect and dignity regardless of who you are
My car was in service last week. I was charged for tire rotation but the tires were not rotated. I raised this concern before leaving the dealership. Also I checked the oil level after I got home and it is below the minimum. I have called them twice now to speak with my service advisor but no body called back. This is totally unacceptable. Charge the customer but dont actually do the work. The oil change was $62.06 for oil, $20.44 for filter+screw and $85.48 for labor. So not some cheap job. Oil level should not be below the minimum after that.
I purchased a vehicle from Santa Cruz Volkswagen recently. Very personable and professional. Luv these guys !! Ask for Ryan or Brent !! Highly recommended
Great place to do business. Ryan was very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
Great service for my beetle :)
Quick and friendly service.
Great staff and service. Needed an oil change in a hurry, they made room for me.
Tiny rick in the parts department is on top of his game all the parts i needed for my eurovan were found excellent service
Had some recall work done. The service department is always professional and super friendly. Work got done and car works great.
What a great team at Santa Cruz Dodge. Richard Brabo went above and beyond to facilitate the purchase of my new truck.I had special demands as I wanted to keep some custom parts off my old truck and have them installed on my new one. They took care of all of the details! I got what I feel is the best price I could have got on my new truck and they offered me more for my trade in than the competition. Shoutout to Larry Wong as well for being great to work with. I in fact have already asked them to assist me in finding my next new car.Great job guys! I know I was demanding, but I can tell you that you not only have me pleased on this deal, but I will certainly be a future customer.Thank you, Clint
Richard Brabo did an amazing job on getting the exact GTI my wife had been want for a while. He worked with me on getting the price down to match other offers I found. He went above a beyond helping me with surprising my wife on her 50th b-day. Everything went smooth from finding the car, negotiating the price, filling out the paperwork, and picking up the car. My wife loves the car and was shocked to see the car in the showroom (see photo) Nice Job Rich!
We have a leased vehicle through Santa cruz VW, and just had to bring it in for the 20k service . We only have 9000 miles on the car, but they said its mandatory because of the time ok, I get it..leased car & rules. Whatever. Except they presented me with the list required for the service, which came to $600 !Google 20k service estimates and youll understand my shock. Oh, and that was the very minimum service too...they tried to push the $1000 one.. mind you the car has ONLY 9000 miles on it.The itemized list of charges included $59 for wiper blades . I had just replaced them myself not 30 days prior, so why would they replace them?!?Another was the $40 battery cleaning kit .. seriously. The lease ends in June, and we have already decided to buy the car outright, then NEVER set foot in that dealership ever again. I write this because the service manager never returned my call to discuss the service. Lesson learned, sc volkswagan is a great place to get ripped off.
I havent been there yet, just making the appointment was hands-down the worst experience ever. Called twice two days ago, but both times I was told please hold for a moment and then waited for a few minutes during which nothing happened, after which I hung up. Wrote an email through the form on the website. Got an email telling me If by chance your request reached us after hours, youll get a response from us the next business morning. You can guess now. Right, nobody contacted me.The funniest part of the email was Youll like working with the Santa Cruz Superstore because were easy to get to and easy to do business with.Right now, doing business with them turned out to be quite difficult, if not impossible.Called again today, was told to hold for a moment luckily less than a minute (you gotta be patient if you want to talk to those people) and finally was able to make an appointment. We will see how that goes.
Bought a VW eGolf from there. Johnny did great hes straight forward to the point and doesnt waste your time. He knows his cars and trucks he spotted my GMC Sierra and called out the year like a pro. I am enjoying my new car and have full confidence in the dealer in taking car of any maintenance or issues that appear.
Good honest service shop, they take good care of you and your car.l
Fantastic dealership, low pressure, nice folks that are great with communication!
I had 2 vw cars in the past and I had bad experiences in the service department and stopped taking my cars there, this is with the previous service manager.I recently purchased an Atlas and decided to give them another shot. I booked an appointment online and upon arrival, I was quoted much more. I thought to myself Here we go again. However, after the service techs could not change anything (it was understandably out of their control), I was greeted by Mark S., the service manager. He listened to the issue, fixed my problem right away, and actually apologized for the mistaken price on the website.Since then, I have taken my car in two more times and both times have been great, so Im glad Mark handled the situation well and kept me as a customer. The front receptionists are all very nice as well, and seem on top of it.
If you go there see Brett Fetty he rocks! Honest, friendly, funny, and very helpful! He will get you the best deal possible . Highly recommended!
My first Google review... one star as you cant select none! Steer clear of this garage. I was quoted an engine re-build or replacement for thousands of dollars so went round the corner and got the issue (a common VW component issue) fixed for a few hundred dollars. This was 6 months ago and the car is running just great.
I purchased a 2018 Tiguan from Chirs Stills. It was without a doubt the easiest car buying experience of my life. Chris was so knowledgable about the vehicle. I am a die hard VW owner so I was happy to have him confident with what he was explaining to me as far as options, mechanical, and warranties. He went through the delivery with care and I didnt feel rushed or afraid to ask questions. His follow up has been superb too! Rudy and Larry were also very easy to work with. Im happy I chose Santa Cruz VW for my new car. This is my 6th VW.
Horrible customer service! The sales guy (Joe) knew barely anything about the cars history and could not explain the high price point. When I said no thank you, he asked me if I am only in the market for a cheap car. Spending almost $10k on a car is not going cheap! That was so rude. The manager (also Joe) was behind the scenes telling him what to say to me instead of interacting with me himself.Initially, Johnny reached out. He seemed nice but wasnt on site for my test drive.
I have tried multiple times to get my car serviced here and each time Im told someone will get in contact with me to schedule an appointment and not once has anyone followed through. I even sent an email reply asking if I should take my business elsewhere and got no response - so I guess thats a yes! Tried one last time to get in contact with someone over the phone during business hours and got sent to voicemail.
I have had multiple nightmare experiences with this dealership and my Dodge Caravan. I had the main panel replaced twice and recently I brought it in for a factory recall. There is a clear pattern where everytime they work on the car it comes out of the shop with new problems that it didnt have when I left it. On the factory recall the car had to be jumped to take it out of mechanic and the car broke down driving home from mechanic. They never take any responsibility for their actions. They are a bunch of dishonest scammers. Do not let these people touch your car.
Wonderful low key service. We had highly specific needs. Joseph helped use find the right car for our needs and then found us the exact color, trim level, interior and transmission that we wanted.
We have some connections at dealerships over the hill that can get us great rates and with no hassle. We went into Santa Cruz Volkswagen simply to test drive a car and shorten the process for when we drove over the hill to purchase. Richard was so knowledgeable, not pushy, easy to work with and just a damn good guy that we decided to purchase here in SC and keep our money in the community. Once we got to the signing of papers, John made the process as easy straightforward as possible even finding a warranty that worked better for my needs at a better price. We are amped on our new car and would highly recommend Santa Cruz Volkswagen to anyone looking to buy a new car.
I agree to what everyone says about Richard. He’s a really nice guy and is very knowledgeable of what he sells. He goes above and beyond and would cater to most if not all you need. He can be a little bit assertive but that’s just the nature of the business. We appreciate the business and professionalism he and his team provided. Thank you.
Very helpful and courteous. Went in with a coolant light on my Tiguan. They checked it under pressure to ensure no leaks. Recognized that I was on a road trip and a working car was critical! Did an overall inspection which included bringing tires up to appropriate pressure then washed car and sent me on my way. All done in 1.5 hours! Very happy traveler.
Sold my first car here and I dont even work here! Happy to see my best friend buy a truck that he loves and great customer service from Johnny. Recommended for everyone to check out their prices on trucks.
Brought my GTI in for a standard oil+filter only to be told I needed a new coolant water pump. Declined the pump until I could examine the car myself and look for any OBD codes. Day after service, I get a CEL warning, only to look under the hood and find oil everywhere - they forgot to screw down the oil cap, resulting in loss of vacuum and oil going everywhere. Oh, and there are no issues with my coolant levels, nor any OBD codes... other than for the loss of vacuum. Excellent work.
I get my car serviced here when ever I need anything. These guys are the best! Everyone here always seems like they are in the best mood. They never haggle me to try and buy a car, which by the way I cant wait to do. Its always clean and calm. Their rentals are top notch.
They are very friendly and helpful. Great customer service.
Johnny was really helpful in finding me a car and was able to answer all of the questions that I had. I would recommend him, if coming to this location.
Jonny was highly professional and made sure the car buying process was smooth ! Definitely recommend him if you are looking for a new vehicle!
Walked in looking for a gas cap on a regular old Monday, came out with a great deal on a killer GTI Autobahn thanks to my man Richard! This guy is a cool dude who dealt with my indecisive self and my pops for almost 6 hours and was very genuine and helpful the whole time, very honest customer service. Coming from someone who works in the service/sales industry, 5 star experience with this gentleman and overall not a single complaint. A family man, dedicated employee, and real laid-back guy, definitely best car salesmen Ive met this far. Highly recommend asking for Richard when you come in if youre looking for great service from a great guy.
Richard and his team were fantastic and helped me get a new car that I absolutely love! They were very fair with my trade in and Richard was patient with me while I test drove several different options. Im a happy customer and would feel confident recommending Santa Cruz Volkswagen to family and friends.
Bought a 2018 Ram Power Wagon from here. Had a few issues during the trade in, tailgate fell (which is a known problem for rams) and was damaged the sales manager Charlie called me about 2 weeks later (first I had heard from them) and was pretty much yelling at me saying that I was not a man of my word and that they were going to take legal action against me to pay to repair the tailgate and that I wasn’t standing by my end of the deal. The day they took the trade I replaced the front hub because the bearing went out, $500. I paid them for half $750 (what they asked for) to repair the tailgate. Although their estimate was way over priced, dealership can get the tailgate for under $200 and a tailgate paint job is around $500. Add maybe an hour to transfer parts that’s now $800 total. Part of the deal was they would provide me with everything I needed to title the vehicle in Ohio (I’m active military). As of today 38 days later I still don’t have what I need. They sent me the proper sales contract with no signatures from the dealer on it. I’ve been told by Charlie the Sales manager that he would call me back probably 20 times and he has only called me back maybe 2 of those 20 times. The sales service the day of purchasing was good, but it seems like once they have their money they don’t really care about standing by their end of the deal. I will never go back and I will let everyone I know to not go here. If you’re thinking about buying from out of state stay away. They’re clueless about how to do anything outside of California, their title person actually told me that people title vehicles in one state and register them in other states all the time.
I have been leasing cars from Johnnie Dasig at Santa Cruz Volkswagen Dodge Ram since 2013. He does an outstanding job. He makes sure all my questions are answered and goes above and beyond to insure a highest quality customer service. I am very happy with my new car and I will return when it is time for the next new car.
If you are in need of a Dodge Ram truck do not hesitate to go straight to Santa Cruz Volkswagen Dodge Ram and be sure to ask for and work with Johnny D. He is extremely knowledgeable of all of the models as well as the entire purchasing experience. You will not be passed around to different personnel throughout the purchase. Johnny will handle everything for you and extremely well. I received an incredible deal and this is by far the best vehicle purchase experience I have ever had and I have purchased many vehicles at many dealerships. Johnny D and the Santa Cruz Superstore has my business for life!
I have bought two RAM trucks from them and earlier this month I brought one in for a simple oil change and recall. I arrived on time and was told it would be ready at 2 PM. I came back at 2 PM and not only was it done, they said they would not get to it that day. The only apology was they would be willing to make a new appointment at a future date. I asked what assurance I would have they would actually do the work! And no follow up apology since that time.
They are crooks and liars here. They said the tires on the car were run flats, sure I should have done my due diligence but they weren’t. The longer I have this car the more dishonesties I am coming across and I am just so disappointed. This was my dream car
Took Ram 1500 in for service back in April of 2017....(covered under warranty)....that part was fine. I was sent to a rental car place since they did not have any loaners. In December my credit card was charged for some part of the bill that they didnt pay (over $700). I spoke to service manager a few times and said they would reimburse.....about a month later I received a check for half (and I had to keep calling just to get that). I have called back at least another 6 times to get the balance. The service manager (Dave)....assured me that it would be taken care of....that was over a month ago. Still have not received the balance...we are 2 months into this ordeal now. He doesnt return calls. Save yourself the trouble and have another dealer service your vehicle........response from the owner below......2 weeks later (today is May 1st)......still do not have the balance. He did, however, have Dave call me that day. Just no money yet.......
I came in for a front wheel drive differential service and my service man set me up for the 60K inspection and service which was incredibly helpful as I was leaving out of town for a road trip through AZ for a week the vehicle ran perfectly! He was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions without prompting and I so appreciated the uber ride there and back! I will refer your dealership and give my service guy a five star rating! Vehicle was done on time as quoted :) camper!!
I bought a GTI from Richard back in September. It had been a while since my last vehicle purchase and I would like to say the experience was fantastic. I know a lot of people dread the process, Richard was kind and thoughtful from start to finish. I would definitely consider purchasing a car from him/dealer again!
Sales staff was very friendly and helpful. Richard Brabo was great, he made sure we were able to get the best deal on the truck my husband had spent a long time looking for. We are super happy with our 2013 Ford F-150 and our overall experience here. Definitely recommend!
I Recently bought my brand new Dodge Challenger here. I worked with Richard Grabo and can’t say enough how much fun he made my buying experience. He was extremely professional, fast, and funny throughout the whole process! I highly recommend Richard to anyone on the central coast looking to get some new wheels.
I recently purchased a used 2015 VW E-Golf. The vehicle was in good condition with low miles. The initial interaction on the phone with Richard was friendly, casual and informative. Once at the dealership he upheld his same demeanor and we discussed pricing. Although we were initially not interested in purchasing the vehicle the same day we mutually agreed on a satisfactory price. We were on a strict time limit and were told in would not take long. It took a bit longer than we would have liked but it was the weekend and it was understandable. They rushed us out of there as quick as possible. A few items were missing from the car and when we called a few days later they told us to come back and gave us the missing items with out question. Great service and would recommend this to anyone looking for a trustworthy local deal on a used or new vehicle. Thanks VW Santa Cruz and Richard!Side note: He was EXTRA sweet to my 1.5 year old child. Even gave up his personal snacks when she got hungry. There is also a small play area for kids.
I had an awesome experience at this dealership. I knew exactly what vehicle I wanted, and the salesman did a great job ensuring i was satisfied. I preordered a brand new Golf a month before it arrived, and Richard, my salesman, constantly provided me with updates on its expected delivery. When the car came they prepped it for me the same day due to my busy schedule. Also, I was trading in an old car during the time of purchase, and they were very willing to work with me on the bottom line figures. Highly recommended!
Please be reminded that its okay to call around for pricing on services for your vehicle; you dont have to go to your dealership to get oil changes and tune-ups. I went to dodge today and they tried to charge me $1,400 for my 90,000 mile tune up... if they feel comfortable charging that much, that means somebodys paying it! This price is unscrupulous.
Im not used to having positive experiences at a dealership for service. The service department was prompt, professional, and courteous. Fortunately our Jeep was covered by warranty and we did not pay anything out of pocket. Ive heard many stories about dealerships fighting their way out of warranty work and this was not the case here. Thanks for getting our Ecodiesel back on the road.
Mark Somer is very difficult to work with and has denied my service after bringing in my vehicle over 3 times! He will hang up the call on conversations and tell you we dont want your car here! Watch out for this service managers! Bad bisness!
Best car buying experience. The sales team was so friendly and they were very helpful with everything.. I would definitely recommend someone to them in the future
This service department isn’t worthy of 1 star. Incompetent, dishonest and unprofessional. I would recommend going anyplace but here.
Richard Brabo was so kind and helpful during the whole process. He truly went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. I would absolutely recommend him to others and work with him again in the future!
Horrible service, if anyone had a good experience they were lucky that they messed up your own car and wanted to charge you extra for seeing what broke
Best dealership around. Jonny D. Is a great salesperson. We were in and out in a few hours. Pleasurable experience.
Good
CRIMINALS! I bought a used Nissan Versa from them and they pulled the old Bait and Switch on me by adding a Service Contract I specifically said I did not want by telling me the paper I was signing was me declining a Service Contract. It was actually me signing up for it. The Finance Manager Rudy completely lied to me. He never gave me copies of any of my paperwork either because then I would have seen that my loan was for double the amount, along with my payments $100 more than they should have been. I returned to have Rudy agree to complete a Service Contract Cancellation Request for a full refund, but he never sent it in and told me that it would take at least six months for me to see the refund. Luckily, I contacted the Service Contract company myself and found out that I only had a couple more weeks to cancel before it was too late. They are LIARS and CHEATS! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. My sister sued them over her service contract and won because they never serviced her vehicle. They just changed the paper mats on the floor to look like it was serviced. The Service Manager also assaulted her by physically grabbing her and throwing her out of his office. Needless to say, Corporate was not happy with them and settled for a large sum out of court. I will be suing them as well as I had the presence of mind to record the Finance Manager Rudy on my cell phone as he lied to me repeatedly. Bottom line is DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! DO AT YOUR OWN RISK. GUARANTEED YOU WILL BE CHEATED BY THEM.
I was very happy with my salesperson, Cris, and the vehicle I purchased. 10 days after paying the full out the door price I got a call from Rudy, saying I owed an additional 217.00 for DMV registration. Ive bought enough cars in my life to know this is not usual. It was supposed to have been completely taken care of at the dealership. Rudy then said if I didnt pay it, I wouldnt get plates and a title. I told him I was contacting Consumer Affairs, to which he said I could pay them, or go to DMV myself. I asked to speak to the General Manager, who I was told wasnt in on weekends. I then said Id speak to my attorney, to which Rudy said youve threatened me twice now. I asked how, and he said by saying Id contact Consumer Affairs and talk to my attorney. I told him those arent threats. What I feel was a threat was him saying I wouldnt get my plates and title until I paid another 217.00! Beware! If you buy a car for an out the door price get in writing that you wont later be called for more money. I have asked him to leave a note for the GM that Im very unhappy with this. Will update post and change review if I do, and this comes to a satisfactory resolution.
I recently purchased a used vehicle from these guys, specifically Rick Brabo. He was very nice and helpful, but most importantly the SCVW team was able to put together a solid financing/warranty plan that made them a better choice than the private market. Keeping it real, its still a dealership that functions exactly like youd expect (sales tactics, etc.), but I still highly recommend checking them out if youre in the market. The peace of mind their service plans offer far outweigh the money you might save with a private sale... or at least I think thats the case.
Where should I start. First of all this team here are all special. Starting with Richard Brabo. From inquiring about the 2015 Dodge RAM that I love and now am driving. Richard Brabo promptly contacted me back with the utmost kind and professional way. I drove from San Francisco to Santa Cruz to meet with him. Bottom line Richard and his crew will try their very best to get you in the vehicle you want. From the beginning to the end.. Thank you all. Ill be back for my next car purchase soon... If your looking for a vehicle, you better stop by The Superstore Volkswagen, Dodge RAM dealership in Santa Cruz, you wont be disappointed... Fr: David G.
UPDATE:Horrible Service! Possible Malice, and Compleetly Rude. This is literally what Mark the Service Manager said to me over the phone just other day after I had questions about why the tire alignment they had done was so far out.He would not service my car anymore and not to call there again. When I asked why?, he said, Because, Im not sure. I guess I just dont trust you. Trust me? You dont even know me, I said, Im a customer calling with a valid question about the work performed and the paperwork shows that the alignment was for a completely different model. He said, Im hanging up now as I asked to speak to another manager.I have never met Mark in person and Ive only spoken with him a few times in the past year and he seemed helpful back then but I was astonished. I wanted to call the general manager and I think I should. Either that or whomever owns Chrysler now and ask for my money back.Another previous time:We werent the only people that had and unpleasant encounters with the Service Manager Mark and salesperson Kim.Gotta read this:Too bad Santa Cruz. Had the rudest encounter with a sales woman and her sales manager. We came down to purchase two cars, a Charger SXT and a Challenger R/T and ended up buying elsewhere after this horrible, horrible experience with this salesperson. The woman literally told me she would get fired if I didnt buy the car from her. I said are you kidding? She said she was not, and that it was their policy that the potential buyer must at least meet the sales manager and shake his hand, or she would be leaving with us. and went on to complain about her expenses and children. I started feeling really harassed and we left completely astonished. We Had been coming here for service and repairs for generations.
Every time I had my car serviced, some guy from sales would approach me to trade in my perfectly good Jetta for a new one.I also found the service tended to be slow (not always) and that they tended to do the bare minimum to complete the repairs. I was always nervous of their work. Dozens of local, independent mechanics do better work.
Thank you Jonny D for helping me pick and choose which car to get! He made the whole process really simple and straightforward and hooked me up with the car of my dreams! Thanks again
I have been calling to have questions about a service I would like to do to my vehicle. The service person carissa his not call me back it has been two days. Please take your vehicle some where else were they would give customer service.
Bottom line... Eric Howard is amazing, he ALWAYS takes care of us. Weve bought 6 cars over the years at The Santa Cruz Superstore and were loyal customers because of the outstanding service!!Keep up the great work & thank you!
Great experience with Dave in the service department and Richard in sales. I left with the truck that I have wanted for years. Thanks for your help, guys! I highly recommend this dealership!!
Richard Brabo provided excellent customer service. I feel like he really listened to us and we connected on many shared experiences with Santa Cruz and Volkswagen. He was wonderful to not only me, but also my wife and 12 year old daughter. I would not hesitate to buy a car from him again, and I would absolutely recommend any of my friends or family to work with him on their next vehicle purchase. I intended on going to a couple different dealerships to test drive cars, but after the test drive with Richard we felt that there was no need to look at any of the other cars we were thinking about: I Loved the VW.
Just bought my second car form these guys. Richard was friendly, helpful and got my interesting situation sorted with the help of his team! I will keep going back as long as VW keeps making great cars!
Had a great experience with this dealer. I could not find the model/configuration I wanted anywhere but Jonny D. found one in Washington State. No other dealer in my area put forth the effort to do the search. Even though I did not purchase that vehicle he placed a factory order for me with the configuration I wanted. No other dealer in the area even offered this option. I would rate it 5 stars but the dealer is too damn far from my house.
The staff was great. Im liking it (2019 E-Golf) a lot so far and I will definitely lease another car when the new electric ID models start to be available.
I recently bought a used e-golf here. I worked with Richard and he is extremely professional and funny. I highly recommend Richard to anyone in Santa Cruz looking for some new or used volkswagen.
They are the BEST! We have bought all our cars from SC Nissan Dodge for the last 25 years. We have always trusted the Salesman for our car purchases to know the price is right and the car matches our needs. The Service Department is great - Eric is very open and honest about the work that needs to be done and know we can rely on the Service we receive.
I dont know who made the decision to step up the customer service, but surely has happened. My prior visit, the left didnt know what the right hand was doing. Text has been implemented, which is great. I like the Uber touch, although didnt mind the courtesy shuttle. I hesitate to give a 10, but Im still weary because I havent had the best experience in the past. I was appreciative for getting a recommendation to get my oil change which I followed through on. Ive never had issues with the ladies who do the paperwork. Seems like something happened and now things are more organized.
Bought a 2013 Leaf. Wonderful car. Sales person was excellent fellow. No games; just helpful and accurate. Robert Caron- outstanding!
WE just had the most amazing experience buying a car today from Richard Brabo at the Santa Cruz Volkswagen Dodge Ram dealership. Richard was extremely knowledgable about the vehicle we were interested in purchasing and spent the time to explain our financing options. Everyone at the dealership provided not only an A+ level of service but also made our buying experience FUN!! Big thanks to Richard and the rest of the Santa Cruz Volkswagen Dodge Ram team for your genuine interest in making us feel valued and welcome today!!!!!
Very friendly and great location.
Great service department. Solved a problem that another dealer declined to repair, Thanks Greg, youre a man of your word. Pleasantly surprised with the service and customer support and I didnt purchase the Golf from this dealer!!
Tried to get a hold of someone at their finance department for a week to return a leased car. They never returned my calls. When I went in to the showroom in person, the finance people were nowhere to be found. Their front desk people also were no help finding anyone
Great place to buy a car. Jeff and Derek are extremely professional sales reps and make buying a car a fun experience. Definately request Jeff or Derek when you arrive. As for service, I would HIGHLY recommend you GO ELSEWHERE!!!!! They damaged my brand new truck, leaving an 8in. gouge down to the steel, when putting in the bed cover. Highly inconvenient to drive their crappy rental for a week then have them charge me 255.00 for damaging my truck! After spending 15 min pleading my case to Dave, the service manager, he reluctantly reimbursed me HALF of the 255.00.DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR AT SANTA CRUZ VOLKSWAGEN/DODGE!!!!!!!!
Great buying experience from beginning to end, which is not something one can always say when buying a vehicle. Richard Brabo contacted me shortly after I inquired about the vehicle I was interested in. He spent a lot of time answering my questions both in the showroom and on the test drive. He was easy to work with and I would highly recommend searching out Richard and Santa Cruz VW when looking to buy a new vehicle. Also, after the sale he has been nothing but the best, spending time with both me and my wife, teaching us all the new tech that came with the new vehicle.
I dropped in to test drive the new 2015 Golf on a Tuesday and thanks to Richard and Johnny got all the information I needed and drove my new car out of the lot the following Saturday. Thanks again for all your cheerful explanations and instructions!
I wanted to thank Jonny Dasig for helping me get an amazing Ram truck. He was really helpful in answering all of my questions. I never felt pressured into making a decision that wasnt right for me, and in the end I drove away feeling that I was getting a great deal on a truck I love. He goes the extra mile to make the car buying experience a really pleasant one. I highly recommend talking with him if youre looking for a new car.
Super happy with my purchase of a 2018 Tiguan. Got what I wanted and was quite happy to work with Richard Brabo and the gang... highly recommended and so happy to buy from the local dealership rather than make an expedition out of buying a car.
First time for me to buy a car online, sight unseen. Jonathan Dasig and Richard Brabo were helpful, professional, and trustworthy. I got a great deal on my car and they even helped me ship it. I love the car and was very pleased with the buying experience.
Go to a different dealer! Your car will get broken into! They don’t have working security cameras and don’t add any security to protect your property that they take possession of. Instead, they keep taking customers, let their stuff get stolen because they don’t lock your car, throw up their hands and say - “that sucks, not our problem”.Short story: I took truck in for recall, they messed that up so I had to take it back. Fixing the problem they created took them 21 days. The truck got robbed while on their property and they did nothing to reimburse me. They told me it wasn’t their problem. Service manager said owner would call me to talk, but he never did.Long story: I noticed some oil weeping from rear end. Not a big deal, but some googling about the problem lead me to a rear end recall for my truck. I figured getting the recall might fix the issue so I took it to the dealer. They preformed the recall and replaced the pinion seal (not covered under the recall-$300). Oh well, it was worth a shot. I get the truck back and immediately notice a clunk when accelerating so I turn right around and get a tech to ride with me and diagnose the issue. He concludes it’s something with the suspension. I didn’t argue with him and decide to get suspension looked at. I continue to drive truck because the clunk is not too bad. 200-300 miles later, the differential starts to whine. It gets louder and louder. I take it back in to dealer. They agree it’s something in the differential. I leave my truck with them to investigate further. 3 days pass and they call to let me know they are going to fix it and it will be covered under the recall - no cost to me. Great! Annoying for sure, but at least it’s not going to cost me anything. They said truck would be done Monday (7 days after I first dropped it off). Monday rolls around - no call from them. I call them on Tuesday - “we need to order part it won’t be done till next Monday”. Next Monday rolls around - no call. Again, I call Tuesday - “we need to order tool, it will be done next Monday”. AGAIN, next next Monday rolls around - no call. They call Tuesday saying truck is done - 21 days after I dropped it off. I go pick it up late that night and notice stuff is missing. Someone stole a full size mattress out of the camper shell. Sleeping bags, blankets, sunglasses, keys, leatherman, knife, tarp. Bunch of stuff stolen. Around $1,000 worth. I go back the next morning to talk to the service manager. He was nice about it, but basically said it wasn’t their problem. He said they are diligent about locking the cars because this has been happening often. My truck had no signs of being broken into or the lock being jimmied open. I asked to see the security footage and he informs me the cameras are broken. They he proceeds to tell me that this is the same situation as if my car was broken into in Safeway’s parking lot - “you wouldn’t go into Safeway and complain to them about it.” NO - that’s not the same at all, nice try. This dealership has a history of break ins to customers cars and they do nothing to fix the problem. They don’t have working cameras and don’t add any security to protect your property that the take possession of. Instead, they keep taking customers, let their stuff get stolen because they don’t lock your car, throw up their hands and say - “that sucks, not our problem”.That’s it - cue the friendly response from the dealer apologizing that I had a negative experience blah blah blah. Save it - stop taking possession of peoples property until you fix your robbery problem. Or, when a robbery does happen, take some ownership
For the Service Department: They are quick to fix my truck, very professional. Eric Howard always makes sure that the job is done correctly the first time. Granted, it is on warranty, but I really feel like I have gotten my moneys worth on the extended warranty. I use the truck to haul very heavy loads on really nasty roads, so it does need a lot of shop time.
Having a few repairs done here, they have been in great contact with me through the whole process. However, my car has been here for almost 3 weeks now ( not surprising with how many repairs are being done and all the parts that are on order) I came back in to grab a couple items out of my car that I needed for work and have found out these items have gone missing along with other items that were inside the vehicle, hmm... Talking to my service adviser she has told me that they are not responsible for lost or stolen items on their property, but none of the windows on my vehicle were broken. Either my vehicle was left unlocked on the lot or (as the dealer told me) entry was gained by using a Slim Jim or some other device to unlock the vehicle. They DID compensate me for the stolen items from my vehicle as a credit to my account for the next time I bring my vehicle here. But please dont leave your valuables in your car, learn from my mistake here. I have since gotten my vehicle back from the lot and all the repairs I requested were performed and documented very well in the paperwork they gave back to me. Overall around 11 or so services/repairs were done on my vehicle while it was here and to my current knowledge everything looks/seems perfect. Including a few recalls, front diff work, evap system work and a few other things they caught during a 33 point inspection such as a worn serpentine belt that I hadnt even noticed during my own self checks. This has since been updated. Still a 4/5 because of the incredibly long wait time, I think it was around a month from when I dropped off my vehicle to the services fully being completed. Again, there were around 11 repairs done, and parts had to be ordered but it seemed like during the 3rd week my vehicle sat at the lot with nothing being done to it.As note to anyone reading this, if youre taking your vehicle here, remove ALL your personal belongings first as this dealership doesnt seem to have a very secure lot to store customers vehicles.Another edit. Back to 1 star. Months after all of this. I took my car to another repair shop because my evap problems still existed, the problem? My part was installed backwards, this cost me another replacement purge valve and labor charges because this dealership refused to do any further repairs on my vehicle.
R Crane:Jeff was very helpful, he showed me various vehicles. I bought a 2011 Honda CRV Sports Utility. If I hadnt noticed that the keyless entry was supposed to be included in the package I would have only had the valet key. Alejandro said they would provide me with a new one when I pointed it out. I accidentally locked myself in the car, with the alarm going, before I got the new key. It took a few minutes for the alarm to quit & I was trapped. I was unable to roll down a window or unlock the doors. Very unsettling experience.I am satisfied with the vehicle, Its very comfortable & suits my needs. I have purchased from your place before, when it was the Nissan dealership, & would not hesitate to return in the future.
Brought my jeep in for a factory recall service, they were helpful and completed the job in a few hours, and also washed my car and added more air to the tires and reset the low-tire indicator for me, no charge. Also the shuttle van driver asked me if I needed a ride anywhere.
We had a great experience buying an e-Golf with Jonny Dasig. He was really knowledgable, efficient, straightforward, and clear. We had two kids with us and they were able to alternate playing in the play area and sitting with us. Jonny was diligent in following up to make sure we got charging set up and knew how to use the features of the car, answering our questions quickly.
Mark is a wonderful person
We bought our car from you. We have serviced it with you every single time we have needed service and have followed up with all of our regular scheduled visits. Then we started having light issues. The check engine light and the tire pressure warning system lights continued to come on over and over. We have brought it in to be fixed several times and have continued to experience less and less customer satisfaction and more and more frustration. Upon the most recent visit to once again get the tire pressure sensor light looked at we were told we had to replace two broken sensors. We got them replaced. As soon as I got back in the car from the service appointment there was a loud feedback noise being picked up by the speakers like a grounded wire had become loose and was causing feedback. After two visits and phone calls the manager was unwilling to listen to our concerns, repeatedly misdiagnosed the problem (a blown speaker) and refused to even consider the idea that something they did caused this problem which was not in any way remotely occuring before its service. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I have never written a bad review for anywhere and I have never been one of those people who say Im never coming back here. But suddenly I find myself so disgusted with my treatment and so completely in shock of how rude and unwilling to listen and hear me out the manager was that I feel I can never ever return here or bring our car back with any sort of confidence that we will be treated well or that we will be listened to or that our problems will even be properly and accurately diagnosed. Since our service our check engine light has once again come back on and I do not plan on bringing it back to this service shop to fix it as it appears I cant count on it actually being fixed. We will no longer be bringing our car in for its regulator service as well and we will never buy a car from here again and will not be recommending people to go here. In fact we will specifically be telling people to stay clear of this center and specifically Frank as he is completely inept at listening to customer concerns and also inept at properly diagnosing car problems, which seems like a must for a car service manager.
Bought a 2016 Passat. The Carfax report said it was clean. No accidents. Found a receipt for a collision repair in glovebox. Salesman Brett was blank. The car had brake issues at speeds above 55mpg and 12V sockets were not working. The brakes rotors and pads needed to be replaced and the fuse needed to be replaced. Charleie, sales manager. Said he would talk to owner and make it right. That was 2 weeks ago. ALSO, traded in a 2012 Jetta with 112k miles for $4,000 credit. It is sitting on the lot... asking $7495!!!!! It initially had a sign saying it was an automatic. (It is a manual!!!!) The organization is careless!!!!!
I brought my car to trade in and lease a new Jetta. Was helped by a very nice guy, Richard. Overall it was a pleasant experience although its hard to negotiate a better deal on an entry-level Jetta.
Went there on July 4th, got a quote on the price for a used WRX limted.Took a couple of days to think and went in to finalize the deal. The sales guy Joseph was kind and helpful, but the GM is an AHOLE!For a credit score of 801, he first quoted an interest rate of 4.49, which was ridiculous. When I checked with Joseph, he asked me to take it up now and re-finance in a weeks time. Then I was made to wait for 2 hours before they could get the paper work ready.Once the paper work was ready, I was called into a room, forced to buy a bunch of ad-ons which Irefused, they even tried to sell them saying we could bring the interest rate down if you bought etc. Then, finally when it came to down payment, he suddenly bumped my rate to 4.99, and told me I couldnt refinance for 4 months, when I refused the deal, the GM came in and started shouting at me for me no reason, when I didnt budge, he cancelled the deal.My entire was wasted! They have no concept of customer service, no ethics, dont stick to their words, all they care about is money.
Go anywhere else.Items were stolen from my car while it was in the shop for service with no signs of forced entry - an employee left my car unlocked overnight! I was told I would receive a call from a manager; that never happened. The actual service took 2 days longer than the 1 day estimate I was given. The car seems fixed, though.Update: The manager contacted me 2 days after my original review. He told me that leaving my car with Santa Cruz Volkswagen is like parking at a target store and that I shouldnt expect my belongings to be safe. He also refused to acknowledge the possibility of malicious behavior by employees, despite this happening multiple times in the span of a few months. I declined his offer for a store credit, instead demanding cash reimbursement. It has been 3 months and I have not received any payment or update.
I bought my Volkswagen Jetta here new in 1996, and they have taken care of it for 24 years. If you go to some bargain mechanic, you get what you pay for, bargan parts and bargain service. These people will do it right the first time, and if you have a problem, they will take care of you.
Dennis was very helpful and service was outstanding.
