Best bike shop in Santa Cruz, maybe in all of Cali!! I was able to snag one of the first 2022 Juliana Roubions via pre order from the only Santa Cruz Bicycles dealer in Santa Cruz!! Staff was awesome and helped me dial in my bike just right!! This bike is amazing and I loved my first ride on it this weekend at Snow Summit!! I meant to ask you guys if you sell the Juliana Quincys as well?? Im going to need that bike next!! Get you next bike from this rad shop!!

Ive now been here about 5 separate times and feel informed to leave a full review. The workers here are knowledgeable and will assist with anything you need. They dont necessarily exude warmth and friendliness, but this has never gotten in the way for me to get business done with them.Theyve ordered items for me that I specially requested (lights to go on the spokes of my tires) and theyve done some labor for me (installed a quick release and a new tube in my tire). Ive always had them be responsive to my questions and ready to help.

ABS saved my bacon. Snapped my chain on my commute. Luckily ABS was around the corner. I got in, picked out a chain, had it installed and was out the door in 10 minutes.... thanks to the great staff for taking care of me and saving me a 5 mile walk!

I happened to be in town for the Memorial Day weekend and stopped by ABS to check the availability of either Santa Cruz Tallboy or Blur because my LBS(s) did not share any info about when they arrive. Heather (co-owner) provided all the upcoming shipment details and she actually had a new 2022 medium Blur TR in the shop and she was professional about not being able to show it to me before SC was to announce the new models after Memorial Day. I put down the deposit for it. I had been riding a small SC Superlight and was not sure if the medium Blur TR would fit me well. Heather assumed me that she would waiver the restocking fee if I were to come back to try it the day after MD. It turned out the size and everything else worked out perfectly and Dan made all the adjustments at my request. Perhaps I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time but the whole experience was great. I rode directly from the shop to the nearby Wilder Ranch State Park to enjoy the bike on the nice trails there.Thank you, Heather and Dan.Sean

They treat you like family here, and the new bike they sold me is insane (Santa Cruz hightower c s build in pumpkin orange). You get 15% off accessories when you buy a bike, and 30 days of free tune ups. Thats hard to find these days. Jaron was in charge of airing up my tires, adjusting my brake levers, adjusting my suspension, and was full of stoke. He made sure that my bike was nuke proof before I left shop, but I though Id test it out just in case. To UCSC I went, and the trails were chopped out! The suspension performed well, my wheels held true, and the brakes were dialed. I set PRs climbing and descending on Strava. If you need a bike you can trust in the gnar, dont just go to any other bike shop. Check out the homies at Another Bike Shop.

I got my specialized status there. They were very nice and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable. The shop has a very good selection of bikes ranging from mountain bikes to e-bikes to cruisers. Over all a great service and great people.

DISHONEST employees!!! Would not return $45.00 goggles Even though the receipt said 30 day returns. He’s said all goggle salesAre FINAL. Then the kid that would NOT return the goggles offered to buy the goggles from Us for $20.00. Wow!! SHADY EMPLOYEES!!!! Not right!!!

Very accommodating and warm atmosphere. None of that coffee house snobbery. They gave plenty of guidance and help even though I stated I was not going to buy anything.

I was just passing by. I had a question about my bike and asked da mechanic. The gentleman said bring it by, and I did. He was able to squeeze me in and fix it. I really appreciate da above & beyond effort, especially on memorial wknd.... Keep up da great service!!!

Great bike shop, helpful, personable staff. We went to 4 other bike shops first and could not find a shop with good stock to get bikes for our family. This place was the only place we had success. I left feeling like it’s a place I can go anytime, for advice, new gear, repairs, or just to hang out with some great people.

Staff is nice, but a previous sales experience and two service experiences did not meet expectations. I plan on going elsewhere for future service needs.

Your sales staff is extremely rude. On my last two visits to your shop on the west side of Santa Cruz your sales staff first ignored me, spoke down to me and at one point raised their voice to me. I spend a large amount of money w/ this company and I’m blown away by the way they treat people. They are too young and need more training in customer service. Taking my business elsewhere.

A great LBS, great stock, friendly service. They took the time to explain and help me with the questions I had. They found a bike for my budget, set it up and sent me to the parking lot to test it out. Great owners and workers.

Very rude. I called to ask questions and double check information on their website about COVID as the situation changes daily. The owner (I think it was him), was very rude. His words it wouldnt be on my website if it wasnt true. My response, I was just double checking as I was interested . He was very dismissive and rude as if i had bothered his day by being a customer. Seriously dude? There is no way I will ever give this place my custom. Why not just be nice to the people that are calling, assuming they want to spend money with your business. There are plenty of other bike shops in Santa Cruz, please avoid this place.

I highly recommend this establishment. I purchased my mountain bike from them years ago and it was very easy to get my bike in for a tuneup and service. The shop I trust with repairs to our Ibis and Santa Cruz. They are professional, honest, straight forward, and friendly.

2nd time Ive gone in to this shop to get wrench work done. They do an excellent job and are extremely fast. I went to 4 different bike stores today to get a specific part removed from a rear hub and this was the only shop that had the correct tool. Only wish they were closer to my house.

Really great place!I was demoing a bike and was having a good time. Unfortunately the chain broke and my day was cut short.These guys were very nice and refunded my money. Excellent customer service! Apparently its pretty uncommon for this to happen, and they handled it very well.Overall, I would definitely come here again. Great bikes and great customer service.

Love Another Bike Shop. I lived in Santa Cruz for 9 years and ABS was my go to bike shop. They specialize in mountain bikes. I went to a number of other shops over the years but this was my favorite for a number of reasons.1.) I’m a mountain biker so they have what I need2.) The staff is super helpful and friendly3.) I ordered a Santa Cruz Bronson (a bike) from them. It took an especially long time to arrive, so they let me borrow one of their demo bikes once when I had a ride I wanted to go on.4.) The store is clean and organized5.) They have a good selection and display because they aren’t a shop that is trying to sell every kind of bike (a lot of shops end up being crazy full because they have tons of kids bikes, cross bikes, road bikes, cruisers, bmx bikes.... if those are still much of a thing 🤔)

They do quick tuneups, are very friendly, and usually have exactly what you need.

Informative, friendly and just what I was looking for! Im in the market for a Mtn Bike, I wanted to try out multiple bikes in the day and happened to be in the Santa Cruz area. At first I stopped by Santa Cruz Bikes, to learn that I needed to book online in advance and they only do rentals for a couple hours in the morning or afternoon. They recommended I go to ABS since ABS carries Santa Cruz bikes and does Walk-in rentals. However, ABS also culturally is the down-to-earth neighborhood bike shop I was looking for. Immediately walking it, I was greeted with the laid back, friendly, non-intimidating atmosphere I associate with outdoor retailers done right. Kristen helped me get oriented to the differences between bikes, what would fit me best (Im 54, so often between S and M) and would be best for my home biking area. I was able to try out two different bikes, a Medium Santa Cruz high-tower and small Specialized Enduro, riding from the shop to the near-by Wilder Ranch trail system, where local bikers I ran into showed me some good single-track runs, and also sung ABS praises. When I came back, Kristen and other members of the staff engaged me in conversation about what I had noticed in the differences in the two bikes Id ridden, and explained those differences by showing me basic structural differences of the two bikes anatomies. I had a great experience and would highly recommend ABS to anyone looking to rent or buy a mtn bike!

I had a wonderful experience buying my new Santa Cruz bike from Dylan at Another Bike Shop. He took the time to fit the bike, explain everything about how it differs from my old bike, accessorize it, and simply share the enthusiasm of getting a special new bike! He is a positive and knowledgeable person, and loves bikes and helping people. He made my day by getting me a new bike super quickly after my old one was stolen. We also got an upgraded lock from ABS! Bike theft is huge in San Fran/Santa Cruz! Be careful out there.

My bike shop of choice! The service here has mostly been great for me. They seem to be more willing to help more than the other giant bike shops in town. They also offer all sorts of discounts for UCSC students. If you buy a bike from them, they will often provide free labor for it

Staff super-helpful and fun to talk to. Good selection for such a small shop.My only complaint is that Id reserved a mountain bike rental and the previous renter hadnt returned it yet. Would have been nice to know that before I got there. They had other bikes, though, so it wasnt a big deal in the end. But if you want a specific rental, you should probably call ahead to confirm.

Groovy, funky, well-stocked with exactly the right gear, but they lose a couple of stars for being a bit oblivious about their customers. I wandered around enjoying the busy-but-were-cool-about-it vibe and the decor, chose an item to purchase, and went to the counter to wait my turn. I waited and waited and waited while the young men at the counter helped every young man who came nearby. Laid-back though they all were, they were all too busy and attentive to the male customers to notice me or to allow me to catch their gaze. I finally went looking for a staff person in the aisles and had to ask twice to get help. I made my purchase and told them how long I had had to wait. The fellow looked suitably embarrassed but couldnt come up with anything appropriate to say. I wont be going back there. Ever.

Rented two Santa Cruz Hightower bikes for 4 days from these guys. Bikes were well maintained and ready to go when we arrived. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the local trails. The shop had some cool apparel and carried some high end Santa Cruz, Ibis, and Specialized rigs. The real deal here!

This is hands-down the best bike shop ever. Each person here is attentive and provides the best customer-service and tune-ups/overhauls you could ask for. The owners know everything about bikes and dont just sell you a bike without understanding your needs. The prices are unbeatable. No reason to look anywhere else.

Again they did a better than average job..had to replace a broken shifter and imagined a higher cost but was pleasantly surprised at the low cost and the upgrade I didnt know I was to get..although did have to wait for days since theres lots of people ahead of me getting their bikes repaired..shifter they replaced is actually an upgrade and I thought was their mistake. Bike is much better with this new shifter..so Im glad the original shifter broke so I could experience this smoother much better ride.

They helped answer all my questions in no time. Staff was friendly. I’ll definitely bring my youngest back to pick out his next bike.

When we first went in there everyone was helpful and friendly (when we ordered a SC Hightower), we were told it would arrive on the following Thursday. We went back on the following Sunday instead (so they had plenty of time to call us and a few extra days) and everyone was standoffish and we were told the bike wouldnt be in until Oct 10th! No one called to inform us of this so we wasted a trip to the West side and our afternoon for nothing. No apologies and everyone walked off to help other customers. Will never return here. Two stars because they did give me my $1000 deposit back at least. Bummed.

Rented a Santa Cruz Bronson from them for checking out Wilder Ranch. They were very helpful in telling me which trails were worth exploring.

One of my spokes snapped just outside Pescadero, untruing my rear wheel and threatening to stop my grand ride from Seattle to San Diego right in its tracks. The people at Another Bike Shop saved the day (and tour) by replacing the spoke and truing up the wheel, right on the fly. Real skilled and friendly people, providing outstanding service to a very affordable price!

They stock cool gear and bikes, several people offered to help me find what I was looking for and said if it wasnt out on display they could check in the back.
