I’ve used this location for shipping probably 50 times or more over the past few years... every single time I am SO extremely impressed with their customer service that I walk out and think to myself, “I need to post a review!” or while there feel the need to tell the employee to please let their manager know they are doing an exquisite job! I never do because I don’t want to come across as creepy, but this location needs to know they really do stand out amongst any shipping service available. The only minor inconvenience I’ve ever had here is that the parking lot is very tight and busy as it is shared with Safeway (obviously not their fault). In general I am someone who dreads running errands because of the inefficiency of it and the generally poorer level of customer service at most places—so, the fact that a UPS store is consistently such a pleasant experience is quite amazing. Hats off to whoever the manager is here as they’ve done a great job in making sure all their employees are very well trained, deliver exceptional customer service, and also seem happy to be there.

Every time I go in, I get a very helpful and friendly customer service representative. The store is clean and the access is fairly easy sometimes parking might be a bit crowded

Made appointment to complete my fingerprints and drove over an hour to get to the appointment. Spoke to the representative, she stated that only the manager can complete it and he wont be back from lunch for another 10 minutes. I informed her that wouldnt be an issue. Went back in past my appointment time, to be told that they wouldnt be able to complete my fingerprinting since something came up.

If you choose to invalidate the officially posted hours, please conceal them on the window because if Im on time according to what Im seeing Im not going to peruse all the posted notices printed on the seven or so other pieces of paper you have hung in your window.Mostly just irritated you kicked me out of the store and I had to haul a large box back to my car. Okay, we can do all this over again at a later day. Fine, have it your way. Youve already shown youre not making it easy on me to do my part in your job at your convenience.

I opened a mailbox and I provided my mobile and email address to receive notifications (when mail/packages are received). I have not received any notifications because while they took my info, they never set up this functionality on my account. They also just informed me that text notifications are not available. So, why are they offering this? The staff is nice and they try their best but I think that they are trained poorly.

I paid $68 for this store to package and ship two items to two different people and they sent each one to the wrong place. This store told me it wasnt their fault and refused to issue me a refund, telling me it was corporates problem instead. Ship here at your own peril.

Can’t say enough about the UPS Santa Cruz store on the westside. Jake, took my concerns seriously and track down my last package that was making the rounds across the country to New York State and back several times before it was located.After a negative experience on the phone, with a call center, I was thrilled to receive my package within a week. Jake was honest, direct and compassionate, acknowledging my frustration and a good human being all around! Great customer service!

Terrible! They clerk never told me that the additional insurance I bought would only cover the loss of the package, not damage. My package arrived with the box broken and art shattered. So now I’m out $1500!! Never use UPS! They are the sloppiest and throw your packages to the ground!

Could not ask for better service or friendlier and more courteous personnel. I have been a loyal customer of the UPS Store on Almar for over a decade. We have recently been operating at home without our printer, scanner, and fax machine due to remodeling, and I have come to depend on the prompt, excellent, and glitch-free service of the UPS STORE. The manager, Scott, is a gem. He is one of the nicest people around and supremely competent. As an aside, I get incredibly annoyed when people complain about the high prices at the UPS Store. Yes, their prices are higher than US Postal Service counterpart services...but one is paying for the convenience and prompt service. Remember, having to circle around for parking downtown, pay for that parking, and then waste time in a long post office line is a significant cost. My advice to whiners is to stop griping…or better yet, take your outraged indignation about the UPS Store to the post office at holiday time. Something tells me that your experience in the endlessly long lines there will change your tune.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Absolute rip-off!! They charge about 4x more than what you would pay anywhere else! Seriously, they have more balls than a bowling alley with their pricing. Apparently theyre trying to build a business on NEVER having repeat customers. Good luck!

Im so upset. I too have been coming here for many years. This was late afternoon Wednesday, I took a package there to be sent asap. Overnight was over $200 for Friday delivery. Taking the next best. This was for my Neices 13th Birthday. Being assured it would be there Saturday, Monday the latest with the always (no guarantee) bologne. What the hell did I just pay $124.20 for then? She received it Tuesday afternoon. This was not a big box, it tookALMOST A WEEK TO GET TO SALEM OREGON FOR $124.20......... WHAT THE HELL????????Shame on them! Im still upset.Cory E

The Almar Ave UPS Store does a great job, always taking care of business efficiently and courteously.

Went there to do a drop off before 4:45 on a Saturday, store hours said closed at 5:00 but they were already closed. Really frustrating to drive mission st on a busy Saturday and have the business closed. Had to drive to Scotts Valley just to do a drop off. Not fun.
