Rebecca was super nice and helpful, I figured since I’m only 16 looking at $300+ fragrances I’d be ignored. But she was super helpful and I ended up getting parfumés de marly LaytonWill definitely be back for more

I had such an exceptionally generous, attentive and gregarious visit. I’m looking over the reviews, specifically the lower-rated ones, and I had some questions.I think it’s funny when people leave extremely negative reviews to ‘live forevermore’ online. What people put meaning to (my goodness)...there’s even a reviewer who ‘tells us’ what the other person was thinking. Oh really? And she’s got all the evidence. Tone. A look. A story. But what about being mature enough to speak directly about your experience with the other person, point to the confusion, ask QUESTIONS, maybe make it a learning experience for both? No? Just a negative review online?I imagine, at any point in time, someone could leave a negative ‘review of me’. Maybe, the anxiety was super high that day? Maybe the stress was pouring out of my eyes? And that goes for any person I encounter. How about some taking on some f$&@ing self-responsibility for the experience you’re having? Maybe it’s time for compassion AND face cream?Muah. This store has it all. I will be back and I hope they and everybody who went there, even the people that left NEGATIVE reviews, thrive. xo

I live in Santa Fe and love Cosbar. Jen is sweet and very knowledgeable. But I’ve had nothing but great experiences with anyone that has helped me at cosbar. This is my go-to when I need a pick me up or need to stock up on cosmetics. .

Becca was amazing. I went in to revamp my makeup products and routine. She took so much time and she just really cared about what was best for me. She gave me tips and tricks and now my husband says my make up looks better than ever. Wonderful store, staff and I highly recommend.

The lady that checked me out was a super friendly lovely lady which is why I feel bad to leave a bad review but although she was wonderful, I had such a bad experience there! Kate was soo rude!! If I go into a high end make up store I definitely expect good customer service and respect! I only felt I received exceptional service by one member of the cos bar. Being an owner of a restaurant, I know that treating customers with respect and the best customer service possible is definitely a super important thing, in fact one of the most important things! So I hope this changes soon!

I stopped by on a Saturday, fully prepared to drop some $ on moisturizer and makeup. However, I was ignored from the moment I walked in (maybe they thought I wasnt going to spend any $ because of the casual way I was dressed?), and when I finally got a salesperson to talk to me, she didnt even make an effort to help me find what I was looking for. She handed me a pamphlet about some new skincare line they just got in and told me to look it over, then went off to help someone else. When she finally came back, I asked her about one of the products and she told me Oh, we dont carry all their products. So why did you tell me to look over their catalog? To keep me busy?I explained I needed a moisturizer for sensitive skin, not an unusual request, and she told me she couldnt recommend anything because I should know what my skin reacts to and that I should go back to my previous moisturizer. GIVE ME SOMETHING THAT IS GENTLE. This shouldnt be difficult for a beauty professional. I already told you I wanted a change. Alas, she also couldnt help me find a lip gloss, most likely because she wouldnt spend more than 5 seconds with me in between going off to help numerous people who came in after me. After 30 minutes of this nonsense, I walked out.I guess they were right after all, because I didnt spend any money. Instead, Im headed to Sephora, where they always treat me right.

I’ve been dying to check out this store after walking past it several times while already closed. So glad I finally made it in. They have great top quality products, much of which are only available if you were to order from a Nordstrom’s or Sephora. I love being able to try the testers they have set out vs buying & waiting for a product in the mail.I didn’t catch the name of the lady who helped me but she was very informative! She was able to educate me on ingredients within products, and steered me away from products that contained ingredients i wanted to avoid. They also have free shipping! Highly recommend.

I see some bad reviews for this store-I dont live there, I live downtown Chicago where there is a plethra of department stores, Sephoras and Bluemercurys...however Jenn who works at Cos Bar knows her lines and I wish I had more Jenns around here-Instead of millennials that think they know stuff-She will not push anything on you, and she knows what works best from different lines-She is honest in her opinions of brands and will provide what other SAs experienced when they used the product, which is helpful-For example I have sensitive skin and she commented that another SA had the same reaction to a product that I did, and that another cant use RMS b/c of the coconut oil in it...I had a reaction to RMS when it first came out and I found out my skin cant tolerate coconut oil-Its little things like that I appreciate-If I come back to Santa Fe Ill seek out Jen-She knows whats good and whats bad, so take her advice-

I would like to express my abhorring experiences with this store. This place treated me like I am a second class citizen. I did not expected to be treated any differently than others but just as an equal. Ive been here quite a few times. I can see the differences between how the staffs treated other costumers who appeared to be older than me and with more money and how they treated me, an Asian woman currently a student at St. Johns. I was an actress for many Thai TV series and a host for Disney TV show in Thailand for 12 years. I know how makeup store and makeup artist should treat their costumers. Today, I went in to buy Laura Mercier powder. The usual uncomfortably causing by the insincerity and judgement of the staffs was there. They actually left me leaving the store with my cheek half pink! I asked for a trial for a brush and since they didnt have the product I asked for, she suggested another one. Cleaning one part of my face and put the product on. I can see the differences between both cheek. The one that she put on the product and the one that she did not! i didnt ask for another cheek since I really wanted to get out of that place. But isnt it a makeup stores etiquette to make a woman looks decent walking out of the store? Fortunately, I am going home directly afterwards but what if I have to go some where and meet people? I left the store looked like one red cheek baboon! At the cashier, the staff looked at me briefly and ask if I need a bag for my product. I said I do since my backpack is full with books and winter clothings. She paused briefly and gave me a smallest plastic bag for my purchase. I asked for a paper bag since its better for the environment. In my mind, I would rather have paper bag than the plastic one which it will immediate has no use for me when I get home and will stay on the planet for millions of years. Her reaction startled me. She said with a harsh tone (now that I already bought a product and just one), well, I wouldnt think this (the powder) is big enough for the paper bag!. I replied at least I can reuse this.Let me breakdown her reasoning a bit. She said that the product I bought was not big enough for her beautiful paper bag. Is there any other products in the make up store that is bigger than my powder box? Most of the products are in small sizes such as lipsticks and mascaras. Ive been hear before and other staffs treated me with a bit more respect. At least, they did not give me a harsh look and tone of voice when I ask for a simple request. They seem to hide it better. I will never know what lies underneath her actions. Did she think I am trying to take the advantage of the store by asking to try some makeup on or asking for a paper bag in stead of a plastic bag? I wish she knows it did not give me any feeling of pride or satisfaction carrying that paper back with their stores logo on it. I care about the planet and the utilities of the bag and I truly want to try the brush and was planning to buy it.Eventually, it comes down to how we treat every human being equally and with respect. The subtleties of the discrimination of the store may seem insignificant but the small daily actions when being perpetrated by the majorities can turn into great violence as we have seen in the world history and the history of this country. Remember the time before 1865 in the South where a particular race was considered sub-human and the injustice done there?Have we achieved the true equality and the freedom of mind from racial discrimination in our present era? One must ask oneself that question by looking deeply into ones mind, thoughts and actions. Are you contributing to the betterment of the world or are you perpetrating the injustice? I decided to write this as a warning for other costumers and to raise the awareness of how we treat one another in our daily lives could have a significant universal meaning behind it.As matter of fact, I just looked into my bag, they gave me the Invisible powder in stead of a translucent one!!!
