Their customer service here is always great and they are always nice. They are usually stocked with everything I need.
Love Ulta! They sanitized the counter and credit card reader after the person in front of me, cashier was super friendly and the other staff I encountered was very knowledgeable about the items I was looking for. They have my skin care, hair products and makeup I prefer (mostly- my fave black liner is almost always out of stock everywhere). There are 2 downsides; products tend to be a bit more expensive than other stores when the item isnt on sale or clearance. Second, they are a target for shoplifters and when I lingered a while reading labels on high end skin care, security and manager checked on me 3 times to make sure I was finding everything OK. Which, I guess is understandable, but made me feel like I needed to hurry to the register to pay so I wasnt a suspect..
Fine. Santa Fe is a very small city, and Ulta is the only place in town to get certain items. If you can afford to wait for an online order, Id do so. Nice store. Friendly staff. Definitely full retail $$.
I love to go and get my eyebrows waxed with Shantel at the benefit brow bar, she is the sweetest person and loves to talk to me! I 10/10 highly recommended her for brow waxing!!
Had a good experience. The staff was helpful but not over bearing. The only complaint I have is that there selection was running low on most of the products I looked at. But overall was nice and clean.
I visited this store and I ended up leaving in the middle of shopping after being harassed by the security guard. My girlfriend and I were followed closely by the guard THE ENTIRE TIME. The guard stood a foot behind me, far less than the state mandated 6 feet apart, despite openly sharing my discomfort. They watched our every move and it was extremely unpleasant. There were other customers there but I guess we “looked” suspicious being queer and such. I’ve been a loyal Ulta customer for years and I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a store. Bummer too since I was doing a last minute birthday haul and trying to purchase a gift card for a friend.
Always the products you need at a fair price. Most employees are very knowledgeable about the products too.

I had never been in an Ulta before. I was very pleasantly surprised. Found a lot of Clinique products that I have been looking for. The clearance section had very nice selection of unopened and unused products as well. Will continue to shop Ulta.

I went from Albuquerque to the store located by ZAFARANO DRIVE,SANTA FE NM to pickup some items which I ordered online and I received rude customer service by a guy named Andrew, you guys should be more friendly or take classes on how to give good customer service, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!👎👎👎

Lack of product knowledge- long wait to check out- always. There are too few cashiers, they are slow and disinterested, yet there are plenty of staff members hanging around the check out counter! Might as well take my business somewhere else or online. This store needs better management and motivated cashiers if they want better sales.
If you go here, ask for Trish. I came in needing an upgraded foundation - light, but with coverage- and amidst all the covid precautions, Ulta doesn’t let you try samples anymore, but the sales associate Trish somehow matched my color perfectly with a Clinique Acne Solutions liquid foundation on my first visit. I thought I would have to go back and forth buying, trying, and repeat. She was incredibly helpful and patient and that’s just a quality you don’t see in retail anymore. Highly recommend.

I have curly hair, fragrance sensitivity, and a current medical issue that’s causing my hair to fall out. Finding hair care products have been difficult! The manager was so helpful. I’ve been using her recommendation for almost two weeks now and am very happy. Thank you to the ladies at Ulta! I appreciate their depth of knowledge and willingness to not give up.
I noticed that the owner doesnt address the issues regarding lack of product knowledge and long wait lines due to lack of proper staffing. Also, no mention about consistent lack of product availability and testers. These are issues that really need to be addressed. I have been to this location numerous times prior to COVID-19 and rarely had anyone asking if I needed any help and I usually did need assistance. Almost always there is a long line, which could be remedied with proper staffing. If this location is worse now, since COVID-19 then it will definitely be my last visit there. This store needs a GREAT Manager to turn it around!
Overall, okay. Very messy and almost all testers were empty or broken. When I checked out, one customer held up the line by showing the cashier her acrylic nails, and she was the only cashier. Had to wait about 10 extra minutes because the cashier refused to acknowledge the customers in line and instead talked about acrylic nails. Still, it functions as an Ulta and has a decent selection of cosmetics and beauty products. Just dont go there expecting the best experience ever.
I was in Ulta 1/2/2019 looking for a fragrance and was helped by Sarah she was AWESOME! I enjoyed her assisting me as I narrowed down my choices. Not to many places give you great service now days.Excellent service! 5 stars!
Tried booking an appointment at their salon and it was better for me to drive to ABQ and see my favorite colorist: MONICA.At this store i found staff to be extremely friendly. However, the level of knowledge and courtesy definitely varies dramatically between staff members.

There seem to be many complaints about rude employees, but I have never experienced any employee being rude. I’ve been shopping at Ulta since they opened, and I visit the store about once per month. Most of the time, at least one employee asks if I need help, and everybody has been friendly and helpful. Some product testers are always missing, and some are a little dirty, but this is because some customers take the testers, and some smear the tester products all over the tester area. I imagine that it’s sometimes difficult for the employees to keep up with the constant cleaning and replacement of tester products, especially when the store is busy.But I have noticed that certain products that have sold out are not being replaced, and sometimes it takes a really long time (weeks and weeks...) until the products are in stock again. I have asked about this and was told that the problem is the distribution center - they send products to the store but don’t check with the store which products are actually needed, which is a little strange. But overall, Ulta is always a fun experience; I always feel like a kid in a candy store!🙂
I was very disappointed with my visit. Went in for an eyeshadow palette and no one could help me find it. Then I go to redeem my birthday gift and find out they never even sent the email. Was.totally disappointed! The only thing everyone seemed to care about was if you were trying to steal. Last time Ill go there.
Alisha in the salon has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for four years and I love her! She gets my hair right the first time, every time. She also gives a great facial. Im not super into makeup, but Ive always found the store to be well organized and stocked in the hair and facial care products.

Cynthia in the salon is wonderful! I love my new cut, and she was pleasant in conversation. The store could stock their shelves a little better, but being the only Ulta in town means demand is high! Theyre going through a remodel right now and Im excited for the fresh changes. Will come back for sure.
Great selection of makeup brands. Staff are friendly but there can be long checkout lines on weekends and popular items in drugstore brands like NYX go out of stock quickly. I get that they decided they needed security guards at the door, but I find them off-putting.
I am a regular customer at Ulta and really like your Exuviance products. Ive been very pleased with the level of customer service provided by Larisa. She is very professional and attentive, Ive enjoyed all the products she recommended. Her positive approach makes her customers feel truly young and beautiful.

The “employees” here are the rudest I have ever come across in Santa Fe. My advice is to not waste your time going here. It is literally a waste of time because you can be standing in line with seven people ahead of you, some of which may be returning an item, and the girl working the register won’t page anyone to come help her or if she does, no one comes. Better off going to Sephora instead where the employees demonstrate excellent customer service.

My younger sister got a gift card from her boyfriend and she got all her things online. Went in store to pick up and the cashier was quite rude and manager couldnt seem to be doing her job ! Which if you cant learn to pull aside your employees when they heen rude to a customer then you need to quit your job

They sell some great products and they ship quickly. Their brick and mortar are often lacking cleanliness with lots of missing testers and products. Their returns on online purchases are horrible. I send Sephora purchase back priority mail and I get credited back in three to five days. I sent ULTA a return priority mail and they received two weeks ago. When i called customer service to inquire they said it could take a month even though my tracking confirmed their front desk received the package two weeks ago. Never again.

I love Ulta but this store has some staff issues. Theres either nobody around to help or someone pushing one brand and not able to answer questions about other brands. The pushing is extra true with the skincare associates. The cashiers are always nice, and if you catch a makeup associate they are usually helpful and can find items stored away in the drawers.

I love their salon! I have been getting my hair done here for about 18 months. I started out with a pixie and for the last several months they have worked with me to grow out the pixie into a stacked bob. I have never had such a seamless grow out process. At no point did I have an awkward period.
Good selection of products in a well-lit environment. Staff is mostly helpful and knowledgeable. But...-store is poorly stocked at times. The staff does offer to help order items they dont currently have though-signage is incorrect at times. Ive seen signs posted that were several weeks old for deals that no longer exist. The store does not honor these.-the front check out people NEVER recognize any gifts with purchase. And I mean never. This is a huge bone of contention with me. Ive shopped here tons of times and never once has anyone said hey, you get a free gift with your Clarins purchase. You have to bring it up. I hate this. And when you do bring it up, it seems like they begrudgingly give you a sample. I find this super annoying.We now have a Sephora down the road from Ulta. Its smaller and more of a hassle to get to, but they carry some of the same brands, and the staff will happily make suggestions and give samples. Ulta should really step up their game.

I had been here a couple times to get my hair/bangs cut, however, I will no longer be going back. I had an appointment scheduled, only to arrive to find that my stylist had left for the day, I was told due to a family issue. They said they tried contacting me. I had come straight from work (where I cant have my phone), and it appeared I had a missed call from a number I did not recognize, but no voicemail, no email, no text. I understand that everyone has emergencies, but this is an inadequate effort of getting a hold of me. The staff member I spoke was pretty nonchalant about the whole thing and my impression was that she did not really seem to think this was much of an issue (mind you, I drove there all the way from Los Alamos, and let her know that). I informed her that in the future, a voicemail or text message would be more appropriate than a missed call for cancelling appointments on clients. Rather disappointing customer service. I will not be returning here or changing my review rating unless I am contacted by a manager to discuss.

I dont generally post reviews, but after repeated bad store experiences, with unfriendly employees and a dirty store its just easier to shop online. A one time occurrence I can understand, but Ive now been in the store 6 or 7 times and experience has not once been good. The employees really are so rude. The only reason for the second star is that they have the hair care products I use.

Iv had this account since 2013 and today has got to be the worst customer service ever basicle no one has ever bothered to explain how the points work much less the workers they barley even help with finding something anyways I was just informed that because I didn’t spend $27 before Jan 1,19 to become a diamond member now I have to start all over and spend $1200 to move up they are willing to lose me as a customer then adding me as a diamond member!! Besides the fact I made another purchase on the 1st of January!!! It blows my mind how they couldn’t make a exception but yet they increase your limit without asking and that’s ok?? I dread this store! they never stock their shelves displays and testers are always dirty and messy (very unattractive.) and dont even let me get started on the employees . theyre never there when you need some help. and when you finally find one they treat you like youre a burden. this sucks because this is the only beauty supply store in Santa Fe that sells the products i use. we need a Sephora please !!! or better management at ulta.
This place NEVER EVER has makeup in stock and theres always broken lipsticks/broken containers in the drugstore aisle. Everytime I know what I want, I look for it and they are sold out and I am told to come back next week. I come back the next week and theyre still sold out and its very upsetting and I am again told to come back the next week. The workers here can sometimes be a little rude. They dont ever ask if I need help (Im always the one to ask first) and usually just because Im not an adult yet, the workers never greet me like they do to the women adults that walk into the store and that seems kinda unfair to me. Ulta, step up your game.....GET MAKEUP IN STOCK FOR ONCE...Have better customer service! And be a little more organized/clean in your aisles.
I love ulta but this store needs to hire friendlier employees or send them to a lot of customer service classes. I always like to look at new foundations but I hate asking anyone to help color match me because either no one is around or they look like theyre mad. Especially the weird guy/girl person.... idk what he/she is but I think the rudest of all of them. NEVER helped or greeted me!! Also, they are always out of certain products or the testers are empty, which is a mega bummer!!!! Seriously Ulta, get it together! It sucks that this is the only store nearby.

This is the last time I ever go to this Ulta. The staff is neither friendly nor helpful. When I first walked in I had trouble finding a product and there was no one around to offer assistance. When I went to find someone for help they completely ignored me. Never going back.

Have been here twice and each time left aggrieved. The associates act like they don’t work there both times i went nobody greeted me or anyone else i saw in the store and nobody asked if i needed any help. Which i did. The cashier was snotty and had no people skills. Won’t be returning.
I have never in my life been to any type of establishment with extremely insufficient customer service.Not once did I get asked if I needed help, I had to hunt down the ladies that were chatting it up in an isle where no one could see them. Its honestly no wonder they do not keep any palletes on the shelves, I could imagine the work that loss prevention has had to deal with in this store. People could easily walk out with somethings being that no one is around trying to help.I was looking for the Anastasia GlowKit, and they were out of stock (which shouldnt surprise me because they are always out of stock of items, and never know shipment dates).I asked the manager if there was anything similar to the lightest color in the GlowKit, without really trying to help she says no, so I go on my own hunt for something similar. I was able to find something of course, but without the help of anyone.Anytime I had a question about a product it was like I was interrupting gossip hour for the manager and the employees.This entire store needs to be wiped out of the current employees if Ulta wants to be a successful business in Santa Fe. Every time I go in it has never been a good experience. Maybe adopt some of the values that Sephora has because Im always welcomed and helped until I have the proper knowledge about the products. I want to talk to corporate about this, and I will. The manager and cashiers were rude, not very helpful, and really shouldnt be getting paid to work when I know plenty of people with a passion for makeup that would love to help others. Its a disgrace, and Im very disappointed that my shopping experience was that bad.Ill continue to go to Albuquerque for makeup.

What a waste, dont bother with the hair services. Huge waste of time and money, wife went for a simple pixie cut, and color. $230 later, she was very disappointed in the color. And the style was nothing better then any other cheap service hair shop.

The Santa Fe Ulta store has the RUDEST, UGLIEST (inside and out) customer service representatives. The store needs to rethink who they hire. They are not professionals and have hardly any experience in the professional make-up line. The cashiers are so rude and they dont keep enough product on the shelves. I will never visit Santa Fe Ulta store again. Sephora has my money from now on. No stars,(had to click one to post this review) thumbs down to #ulta.
