The lady that owns this place is obnoxious - dealing with trying to collect money from vendors in front of clients trying to rent trucks from her. If she spoke to me in the manner she spoke to them, well lets just say she lacks professionalism and grace. Her demeanor travels down to the line level staff as Ray (gentleman whom checked us in) was horrible to deal with. He wasnt even looking at me and mumbled something under his breath, I of course, didnt respond as he was looking the other way and I had no way of knowing he was addressing me. Needless to say when I didnt respond he barked at me....NAME. Ok, then after providing my name the service went further downhill. Honestly, I would go with u-Haul or another company unless you feel like being treated like dirt and you like feeling like you were kicked out the door. I will contact corporate Penske company regarding my experience here as per other reviews that is the only way anything seems to be addressed.

Go to a different Penske location for your truck needs in New Mexico! We rented a truck for a long-distance, one-way move to New Mexico. As the drop-off (Santa Fe) was not open on Sundays, we were told the drop-off procedure which we followed to the T. However, we still awoke to a $40+ charge the following morning for fuel that evidently needed to added. Well, wed had a LOT of experience fueling the truck over the previous few days and knew that the nozzle actually has to be removed from the tank and the fuel shot in to the tank to get it totally full. We did this to the tune of also covering ourselves in Diesel fuel!! If there is a way to add even more fuel than this crazy procedure, that MUST be explained to the customer upon pick-up!! Not only is charging for fuel on a vehicle displaying Full borderline unethical, the actual fueling process is very inconvenient if not downright dangerous!! Also, upon complaining about this situation at the local Santa Fe location, we were not given any recourse until we called Penske Corporate directly from the Santa Fe office and then, suddenly, we were able to speak to the independent Albuquerque main location to air our complaints. So, this seems to be a fairly common occurrence and I cant believe Penske Corporate allows this independent outfit to service their customers!!

Well deserved accolades! Cerrillos Motor Penske (now located at Johnson Moving at Santa Fe Airport)Many years ago I rented a Ryder Truck and moved cross country. Through the years I used U-Haul for shorter moves. This time, because it was a long move from Sedona to Santa Fe, I wanted a dependable new truck (the Ryder truck only had 3k miles on it). I went with Penske this time. Not only do they try to try to compete with their competitors but they generously offered me many discounts and were outgoing and very helpful. In the end, they not only upgraded me from a dolly to a flatbed at no extra charge, but upgraded the truck from 22 to 26 (diesel). It was a great experience all around-- topped off by Lindsey at Flagstaff Home Depot (who was more than helpful-- she even looked up the weather for me on her phone)! Later when we arrived at Santa Fe we experienced the other end of Penske solid gold service. We dropped off our flatbed first, at the new location of Johnson Moving & Storage (airport), so we could deploy the ramp and unload. The Penske yard representative Ray could not have been more helpful or courteous (he even backed the truck in and unhooked the trailer for me). In a day, after we unloaded the truck we returned it. What we encountered was one of the nicest ladies (the owner) I have met in Santa Fe thus far. I instantly liked her, she was gracious, engaging, and warm (wish I had caught her name but think it was Lucinda Merz). Thank you! Moving can be a harrowing experience, at the end of the road customers are pretty frazzled (this was a hard cold move through snow and rain with a car on a flatbed). The end of our journey was like family saying-- welcome home. It was well-worth the slightly higher price over the competitors-- Penske Rules!
