Do you know how impossible it is these days to find an expert honest mechanic? But I have finally found one. His name is Bob at Ashton Auto Repair in Sarasota. His parts are reasonably priced, he doesnt somehow find wrong things that he can fix, he gives sound advice and doesnt manipulate customers, he will diagnose what he thinks might be wrong even if youre not ready to hire him. Im telling you, I dont think you can go wrong at this shop. Hes not a green young man--hes been around but I hope he wont retire anytime soon. We need mechanics like him in our area. Go see him. You wont be disappointed.

My AC blower fuse had gone out on me and they fixed it real fast, I was there for less than 30 min and the problem was fixed completely and at a perfectly reasonable price. It was a very refreshing experience, my vehicle was making a noise coming from the front end it is a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. I took it to the Nissan dealer in Venice Florida and they told me I needed brakes and rotors at a cost of $850. So I thought I should get a second opinion and I took it to Ashton Auto who came recommended.they came out and told me I didnt need brakes it was just my dust shield was bent and rubbing in the brakes were just fine. Its so refreshing to see honesty in that business, guess what Nissan dealership Ill never visit again 🤭

Ive lived in sarasota/manatee counties for 25 years. Its not easy to find good mechanics. This shop has good ratings so I tried it. So far Ive done three visits, two different cars in the last 6 months. They are honest people, very reasonable fees, accurate diagnosis & timely work. Large parking spaces, convenient for dropping off towed cars.

I understand how Bob and Pat works now. They never ask me to fix things I don’t need. He never overcharge. That’s why he never asked for “approval to do the work. I will be foolish to go any other shop in town. For example my air-conditioner is broken. All it was just a clutch relay. Any other shop in town would’ve tell me to put new Freon in or something to charge money on about air compressor. Ashton auto helped me out big time in multiple occasions and is most trust worthy auto store in town. They’ve been in business for over 37 years !

While traveling to Sarasota for a funeral I had a major issue with my van. I was only in town for the funeral, which was 11 hours from my home and I was leaving the next day. They were able to get it in, check it out, get the parts, and repair it in one day. I was on the road and back home on time. The man who helped me was very kind and helpful. Theres always a stigma taking your car to the mechanics. Weary that they will try to sell u things u dont need, or they dont know what they are doing. Ashton Automotive is none of that they are helpful and knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. I wont take my car anywhere else from now on.

Been coming here for the past two years and I have having more issues with my car then ever. My car is knocking and making so much noise when my car runs. I Started checking my oil after my oil changes and NO OIL WAS IN MY CAR!!! Now I have to Get work done on my car since they decided to not really change or put oil in my car.
