First gun store/range Ive been to that does not seem to like guns being fired in its range. One of the range people complained that my 9mm ammo (being using the same brand for years) was making too much flash and would I like to come an buy some of their ammo instead. Wow - pretty well coordinated shake-down if you ask me.Luckily there are plenty more ranges in town, so will be voting with my feet.Beware the ammo scam if you go there!!!--------------------- 11/4/2021Based on the response from Jordan, I need to add my rebuttal:The basic problem here is that I had already paid my range fee when I was approached and basically ejected because they did not like my ammo: the only solution offered was for me to spend even more money buying their ammo. How is a customer supposed to know when the pay for the range what arbitrary rule will applied to their ammo? The classy response from Shoot Straight would be to offer me a refund of my range fees.By the way I also object to being told my ammo is not normal. For the record the ammo I was using was purchased from Optics Planet and was ZQi Ammunition 9mm 124gr. Full-Metal Jacket FMJ Nickel-Plated Steel. Look that ammo up on YouTube and you will see nothing but glowing reviews.Maybe Shoot Straight should publish a list of ammo it finds unacceptable so people know before they waste their range fees. The classy response from Shoot Straight would be to offer me a refund of my range fees.
Hassle-free gun shop and range, some of the employees are friendly.
WOW! We had our first visit here yesterday. What a great experience. And great prices as well. We will make this our new gun and ammo shop destination.
The lanes are terribly hot. The lanes have no tables to set stuff on so your working off the floor. The staff doesn’t really know what they are talking about. They have a decent selection of products but other than that this place isn’t all that great.
Best customer service. Very knowledgeable n was treated respectful
Team Shoot Straight Sarasota,This e mail is to advise your Team of my experience of purchasing a firearm at this store. This is the second pistol that I have purchased here.My purchase exceeded my expectations. It was a 10 of 10.Desiree J was not only very professional and courteous, but these attributes were exceeded by her astute and competent knowledge of the firearm and laser that I was purchasing. All this while training Nathaniel.Nathaniel was also very professional and courteous, eager to follow DJ’s direction, and demonstrated a desire to learn the tedious process of completing all the required paperwork of purchasing a firearm. My next gun purchase as well as all of my firearm needs will be done at this store.
Horrible customer service. I just spent $424.99 on a laser for my pistol. I called there July 11, 2021 at 11:50 AM and mentioned I had an issue with aligning it and asked if they can help me. He said, gun smith book solid sorry Im going to say I cannot help you. They will take your money but if you need service you are out of luck
A great place to shoot, instruct, and buy. They always treat me well and very helpful.
Understaffed! And sold a popular gun without taking a minute to clean it ... later claimed they didnt know how to open gun! :-)
Great friendly service however their prices are off the charts most of their guns are higher than MSRP and like a honey badger they don’t care.
I belong to a group called A Girl & A Gun. We met there & had a great experience!!
Great place for range training or plinking. Great staff behind the counters. Plenty of parking well lite after dark. Restrooms are very clean. Family friendly if your bringing youths to train and learn to shoot. Plenty of inventory in stock for most budgets.
I have been looking around for a micro compact. Went in this afternoon and was created by Erin who was training Michael Donaldson. I told them what I was looking for which they didn’t have but very politely made a suggestion to look at a comparable model which happened to be one on my radar. After handling the weapon for a few and the mod was on sale I just couldn’t pass it up!! I was impressed by both Michael and. Erin’s friendliness (most gun folks are generally jerkoffs and act a little to on edge, just in general).....They never made me feel like my business wasn’t important. Honestly, I have never had an above average experience in this store but I’m glad I have it another chance!! Great job folks!!
Been doing business with them for years never an issue buying or getting a gun shipped in. Used the range for the first time the other day shot 8 of my guns no issues and the adjustable ac for each both is great. Only got a warning because it was my fault my 9mm case was in the shelf and I cased it at the shelf. He just came just asked me to case it and I said my bad he said its all good. Everything was fine and will be back
Doubt Ill ever buy here again. I ordered on their website, and was asked countless times where I had ordered it. I received a voicemail saying I should come in and pickup my order. I get there wait over an hour in line, and then am told they got it wrong that I couldnt actually pick it up that day. Come in the next day, and wait over an hour again to basically re-explain the entire situation.Buy at a local shop and save yourself the hassle. I wont make this mistake again.
Love coming to this place on Monday for ladies night. On Monday’s ladies shoot for free, just pay for targets / ammo. The price for regular admission isn’t bad either if you’re wanting to shoot. The staff are very friendly, they go over the safety precautions, and just always make you feel welcomed. Transactions are always hassle free as the staff are very attentive to everything. Whether coming in to just practice shooting or looking to purchase anything, I’ve never been disappointed.
To whom it may concern,I finally purchased a rifle today, something I have been wanting to do for awhile now. My first gun of choice was a Daniel Defense rifle which I hesitated to buy, and lost the chance as someone else bought it. However, I purchased a Wilson Combat PPE PST 11.3inch 5.56mm AR-15. Actually, I couldn’t be happier. I have been driving Spencer crazy, I think he was happy to get rid of me too. :) I also bought along with the rifle an Eotech sight, surefire mini light, 2 extra 30 round window mags, Winchester 420 round can of ammo, an Allen carry case, an Otis rifle kit, and a magpul grip. My total purchase was $3500. This was my second weapon purchase, my first being a handgun, a .380 shield EZ, which I also purchased from you. I have a 1 year membership of your range so now I have 2 guns to frustrate myself with trying to get closer to the elusive bulls eye.I want to give an extra thank you to Spencer for all the time he spent with me on multiple visits answering all my questions, he was extremely patient, and incredibly professional. He was great, I couldn’t be more satisfied. Thank you again for everything, I am very pleased to be a member of Shoot Straight, and I’m looking forward to my next visit with my Wilson!Thank you and regards.Sincerely,Chet
I purchased a gun from this location and when I tried to pick it up they noted something on the paperwork that wouldn’t allow them to give me the gun I purchased so I was forced to return it. I was then charged a restocking fee for an error made by their employee. When I let them know this is unfair and not my mistake, I was told by the manager Michael “We don’t care”. Then Michael proceeded to yell across the store to charge a larger fee by which point the transaction had already occurred. He then said “you’re lucky.” I will be sure to let let all of my gun carrying friends and clients know about my experience here and hope that they will find somewhere with better service to enjoy their hobby. I will never be back.
This is a store full of npcs. What’s worse is they are all trying to sell you a time share. I just wanted to use the range. I was so put off I’ll just never go back.
My entire family has been going to Shoot Straight for years and it would be impossible to say enough good things about the Shoot Straight in Sarasota. Mike, Cole, Josiah and everyone else who works there are the absolute best in the area. Shoot Straight is one of the few places who have remained more than fair on their prices throughout 2020; they never charged above original MSRP. Even though their costs have risen substantially this past year, they have kept prices low by sacrificing profit margins to service the community. Thank you.
Im a bit confused by this, so Im only rating it 3 stars at the moment. I had a charging handle fly off my gun and land on the other side of the firing line, about 5ft in front of, in the pile of brass. The barrel of my gun could protrude 1-2ft over the line and its perfectly normal. I figured Id go find a range officer and ask him to retrieve the charging handle since he was at the desk outside and didnt appear busy. I mentioned that it wasnt very far over the line and I could have easily reached it with a brass sweeper but I figured Id get his assistance. He proceeded to tell me how he would have thrown me out if I had done it myself and then, thats exactly how he retrieved my handle. So somehow, my barrel protruding past the line is acceptable but reach under the firing platform with a wooden stick and WHAMMO, youve done something that gets no warning. Youve put an innocent wooden stick in harms way I guess and for that, youre just told to leave. I checked the website and dont see any range rules supporting this action so just be aware, the range officers may be making it up as they go. I visit ranges across the nation in my work travel and Ive never heard of reaching under with a long stick to retrieve brass (where allowed) or items that fell over the tabletop as a ban-able offense. Sure, dont lean over the tabletop... duh... but reaching under with a stick and not even coming close to breaking the firing line with any part of your body? Seems stupid to me.
Good people i guess. I had a hard time buying a gun at their location, but.I know it was my responsibility to make sure everything was ok on my end.Josiah was the guy i did business with, Helping me through the process.I was denied the purchase at first, then he called back in explained what my options were. I toke it from there .One month after i had everything right, went there and picked it up.In the end of the day, you have to make sure you are ok . If not . Go fix it.Make calls, research. Thats not their fault. You are responsible for it . If you dont think that way. Please dont buy a gun .
I checked in, paid for a lane and a couple targets. After I signed the receipt the clerk told me I better hurry, the range closes in 15 minutes. I asked why I was just charged for 15 min of range time, she proceeds to tell me they scaled back their hours due to ChinaVirus and that the range closes before the retail store. Took my business to Take Aim. ✌🏻
Great experience, Jason was very helpful and patient Awesome gun store!
I’ll be writing a formal letter to corporate.
Ive purchased a couple of guns from this location and I have had a pleasant experience each time. My recent experience was working with sales associate Alex M. and I must say he went above and beyond the scope of customer service. I had a few questions and each one was met with good feedback. The store manager on duty (Cole) was as equally pleasant. Thanks guys, youve earned my business.
Thank you Spencer and thank you shoot straight. Overwhelming going into the store with such a vast selection, but Spencer put me at ease quickly with his patience and knowledge. Great job. Lifelong customer. Shop was incredibly busy, but the customer service level was exceptional. 5 stars.
Decent prices, nice staff. Clean range.
Good selection and fair prices the staff is very helpful. This is my local gun store and range of choice
Best range in the area!
Will never walk in this store again, eight employees totally ignored me, some were four feet from me.
Staff is always friendly and they have a great selection of firearms. Unfortunately from one shoot straight to another the prices may vary on certain items. IE a light I purchased in Sarasota was a defect off the shelf. I was able to take it back to the Lakeland store but the prices were lower. They hassled me about the difference and they had to get a manager involved to correct it. I then compared a few other items and found differences. Prices are very high compared to other gun stores.
Were do I start. I checked prices online and for the pistol I was wanting, they had the best price. I went into the store inquiring about the pistol. They had none in the store but their online warehouse was showing 5 or 6 in stock. The gentleman that seemed in charge of the store said it would be better for me to go home and purchase the gun, then have it delivered to this store. That’s what I did. The following Wednesday I got a call saying my pistol was at the store. I went in that afternoon and did the background check and everything. After the main person in charge checked everything, the salesman hands me a rather large box for a pistol, and says here you go all set. I thought this was sort of odd not letting me look over the gun or anything. I passed it off and headed home. i check everything out and realize they sent me the wrong pistol! I call the store and explain to the salesman what happened. He said I needed to bring back the gun ASAP, otherwise it would be considered a used gun and I would not be able to return it. Which I did. Another gentleman helped me out, his name is Cole and he was the most helpful. I showed him my receipt and they just sent the wrong gun, completely different than what I ordered. He took the gun, gave me a return receipt and said I would get a refund in a couple days which I did. He found another pistol from another supplier and ordered it. So I make my fourth trip into the store and purchase the gun. No problems this time. The only problem is not one person said sorry for the mix up, or sorry for the mistake from their warehouse. Nothing!
Good place. Lots of inventory of popular items. Good staff to help.
Really NFA unfriendly
Great experience. They were extremely busy but still helped me find a perfect holster. Great service and nice people.
Moved here from out of state, went to all the local gun stores. This one is the best overall. They have the largest selection, a nice range, and the people are always friendly to me. Unfortunately no shop in this area carries everything i want so i am forced to mail order a lot, but if they dont have it no one else does either
I submitted a background check in may, finally got approved back at the beginning of October. They claimed they called me but I never saw anything. I just checked in with them today 11/2 and they said after 30 days the background check expires! So I waited 6 months for this and after 1 month it expires??? None of this makes any sense dont deal with this place. I went back after I finally got approved for the second time and after I thanked the guy for helping me he says I dont appreciate getting yelled at as Im walking out of the store. Seriously dont deal with this place
Great selection of quality firearms. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions you may have. It also has a very nice gun range. Great prices as well!!
Worst customer service ever. Came in today with $1,000 to buy something they had in stock. Many employees working, not all with customers, but I could not get anyone to help me. Stood in front of the counter for 15 minutes waiting for someone to help me. No one ever came over ... one guy looked over at me at least five times. I left. Ill give someone else my business.
Overall experience was good. From signing the waiver, getting checked in and put on a lane, purchasing ammo and targets went pretty smoothly. My only issue was with the RSO named Michael. It was our first time there and we werent aware of the rule that your target has to be at 5 yards or beyond. Instead of getting a fair warning, we got threatened to get kicked off the range if we do it one more time, were done. Meanwhile a gentleman was literally handling a firearm outside of the booth and no RSO paid any mind to it. But having a target less than 5 yards in front of you is top priority? Mind you we were not hitting the target carrier or the ceiling.
Great shooting facility. Missy and Tim were extremely helpful. Best shooting experience my wife and I have found.Clean lanes with great exhaust system for an ideal shooting environment. Look forward to next visit.
Wait hours to pickup... insane.
There was a snag with a firearm purchase through no fault of me or Shoot Straight. The manager John offered to resolve my situation immediately. He was polite, understanding, and very professional. Highly Recommend. BH
I spent Father’s Day here and thoroughly enjoyed the facility and staff! Will be going back for one of their classes soon 😊
Im new to owning my own gun, my husband is retired Leo, so we always had guns in the home.I came.here to purchase.my 1st gun, I took the gun safety course...at first I was felt intimated, but the instructors were so friendly and helpful all the fear went away..when I made my 1st purchase, the gentleman behind the counter was patient went over the features of the gun..helped me with accessories...the men at the target area..just as helpful..went over the range safety..they keep a watchful eye over their shooters and clientele....my husband and I frequent this shop for target shooting...and I. Pretty good.. :) . ..looking to upgrade handgun and or learning to shoot a rifle..
Tried calling but they hung up on me without answering. Looks like this place hasn’t changed a bit.
Very nice and knowledgeable personel
Great place, very professional
Don’t buy anything here unless u want to wait a few weeks for it.
Been trying to come here for the longest. And hey tonight was my first night here checking it out and I gotta say Great customer service and very knowledgeable and very very helpful people like Austin, and the young lady that I spoke to about the m&p shield and the holster its self. Such great help!! Ill definitely will be coming back for sure!
Their trade in is ultra bad. Dont even bring your gun there. They will give you 1/5 or if your lucky 1/4th of the value. Terrible trade and treatment
Friendly staff and very helpful.. They also have a huge selection with competitive prices. 🙂
It was my first time at this range last night, and had a great experience. I appreciate the Veteran discount for the range fee and really like their pistol selection. I had good, although limited, interaction with the staff and thought the facilities were clean and well kept.
Great staff, very knowledgeable about firearms and very helpful guiding you through the purchase process. Stopped here to buy a new rifle and accessories, and walked out with a huge smile on my face even after spending so much money. I will definitely return here if I ever need another firearm.
Unfriendly and snobby sales staff. The range safety people are too busy and do not explain or communicate well. They won’t get my business ever again.
Me in my girlfriend. Check this place out last night for the first time the staff was very nice and friendly I cant think of the gentleman name that took his time out to show my girlfriend the correct way how to shoot and stay calm. Thank u so much we had a good time
Have a good selection. But as other reviewers state difficult to be waited on. I just got back. It was not busy. There seemed to be a couple workers with clipboards just walking around while there was maybe 1 other customer and I waiting to be helped. I walked out after about 15 minutes..... UPDATE: I just made a return visit because of a sale they were having. Received immediate, friendly, & knowledgeable service from a rep - believe her name was Ruby. Totally opposite of the service I has been given before. So revised my rating up because of the great service I received this trip.
My husband called and asked about ammo for the range and was told to F off. I know this is a busy time but do not speak to him like this because he worked there before. 100% un professional and AJ needs a class in customer service. Maybe rethink your employees service agreements or training with customers....AJ is really lacking.
The store is big with a large selection. The shooting range is nice. The staff is friendly. My issue was I was looking for a specific handgun and they didnt have what I wanted in stock. The firearm was supposedly in one of the warehouses. They took down my information and telephone number and said it would be about a week and when they get the pistol in they would call me. I waited three weeks, no call. Went to Sharkcoast Tactical after three weeks and walked out of there with the pistol I wanted.
Great clean shooting range with plenty of lanes. Really enjoyed my time there. There could be a few more chairs in the back to sit for larger parties, but other than that, outstanding. Gun prices seemed pretty fair here, but I would like to see a bit more inventory.
Very nice selection for sale and friendly staff. The rentals were limited to hand guns and one well used AR.
Unparalleled customer service among shooting ranges or gun stores. Staff are professional, safety conscious, knowledgeable and pleasant so you really can’t ask for anything else. Can’t recommend highly enough
Range was so hot I couldnt stand it for more than 20 minutes. I was dripping with sweat!
I have never experienced a more rude and dismissive staff. I highly recommend Take Aim across the street - its locally owned. Oh, and they actually show some consideration and interest to their customers needs.
Had a gun purchased online delivered here. Went to pick up and they processed everything fine, a little wait but I think thats normal with these things with background check etc. The store is really nice and staff was friendly. The range looks nice, will go in future.
The best gun range and store around! This Shoot Straight is big! The store has everything you need as a firearms owner. A new, very clean store with very knowledgeable, helpful staff. The memberships are priced reasonably. The range is excellently air-conditioned and ventilated. The store layout has many secured firearms to actually handle and many, many more in glass cases with the helpful staff to assist you.And wait until you see all the taxidermy animals all around the store! Theyve got a bear, wolverine, water buffalo, lions its a whole menagerie!Theres plenty of parking and the store is easy to get to from both Sarasota and Manatee Counties and worth the trip from anywhere where there isnt another Shoot Straight store near you in Florida.
I went there as part of the gun show cc class to do the demo portion. After getting that done, I asked about training classes provided. A nice gent up front gave a basic rundown, and pointed to the range desk for the paperwork. I walked around the desk, finally having to ask one of the two old boys staring at the monitors (one of which had no one on it) one pointed. Theyre over there. And back to the screen. Looking, a gent and I still had questions. But apparently the money spent on the c.f. course was all they wanted, because they completely ignored us from then on.And this, after walking the entire floor without one greeting. (I would so hate to break up the chat sessions between the employees.)Oh well, there are several solid training courses offered around town, and Rocks sold me a comparable safe for about $150 less.
Purchased a Px4 storm online from them the sent me a damaged firearm as new. Damage was missed when filling out the transfer. Never even bothered to respond. Shop somewhere else at all costs.
Poor customer service. Staff slow on the uptake and not very courteous. Signed up for a class but once I complete, will be searching for another range/shop to do business at.
They have the best deals in town from what I have seen . I am a person who recently retired and have been out of the game along time. Staff is friendly but can get over whelmed when place is jammed out so be patient when they get busy and visit every week and I guarantee that these are the people to go to when you want to buy good firearms at reasonable and many times hugely discounted prices. Their range is new and very well lit and air conditioned and I have had a good time every time I have been there !
This place it great! David was very knowledgeable and willing to share. Got my first shotgun here and coming back for my first AR! Highly recommend this place over the other stores in the area.
Visited this location last week and the customer service was outstanding. I dealt with several associates and the manager they call Murph. They made me feel very comfortable for woman looking to buy her first gun. I am also considering getting my concealed carry license. I was given the grand tour of the facility and I was able to look at various handguns. Definitely a great recommendation from a friend and I will be back. Also thanks to Devin, a very polite young man who was very ;patient with me!
Great place to go shooting and to purchase. Mike was friendly and professional. I will definitely be back.
This store & range is very close to where I live and work, and I drive past every single day. As a fairly new gun owner and a fan of the second amendment, I’ve long been curious about what lies inside. I realized that I needed some snap caps for my firearm (Ruger EC9s/9mm Luger) so I finally decided to stop in.First of all, I was blown away by how well-stocked the store is. Their inventory is mind-boggling. They have everything! Firearms, accessories, and helpful, friendly associates. They are eager to help. Seriously, in the four or five times I’ve been in so far I’ve interacted with a number of different employees and everyone there has been way beyond great. Above and beyond! The customer service is five-star, and I am not hyperbolizing. There’s clearly a culture of very knowledgeable and helpful customer service here. They have consistently treated me like I’m important to them.Secondly, I was quickly assisted in finding my snap caps and then proceeded to look around. As a newly-minted CWFL holder, I’d been lusting for a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield for quite a while, and guess what? They had brand-new 1.0 versions on sale for well under $300! Well-under!!! Practically Internet-cheap! I’m not one to casually make a snap decision purchase, and they had plenty in stock, so I thought about it for a day and then, of course, went back the next afternoon.I was greeted at the door the next day and when I explained what I wanted, I was helped immediately. The sales associate was friendly and fun, and I bought my second firearm in less than ten minutes, paperwork and all. I then spent the next 45 minutes browsing around and at every station, I was met with a friendly face, happy to answer questions and help. They have a truly amazing selection of pistols, shotguns, rifles, and any accessory or ammo you could ever want or need. Holsters and cases and safes, range bags, eyes & ears, cleaning kits and accoutrements, magazines for every single pistol ever made! Snap caps in every caliber. It’s truly a super-store! Plus their shooting range is really nice. I’ve shot there only one time so far, and I usually practice at a different range, but their facility is top-notch. I will be getting a membership. This place appears to be the ULTIMATE shop in town for those of us who love and appreciate the second amendment, and you’ll even end up chatting with like-minded customers, if that’s your thing. Check them out. We’re lucky to have Shoot Straight in Sarasota!
Great friendly service, Alex was a pleasure to work with!
I specifically said I didnt want a gun that was on display. Bought it and had the white strap thats usually on guns that are on display. I was given a coupon on day of purchase because they messed up the price on top of it. Coupon had expired date. Needless to say I left coupon with the rude gentlemen that helped me out. Would not step foot here again.
What a great company! Mike and Barney went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. I highly suggest shoot straight for all your fire arm needs.
Very disappointed in the customer service. I called this location to ask if they had S&W AR-15 in stock. I was told rudely that he isnt doing inventory over the phone, you have to just come down here. I again asked before i make the 30 mintues drive can you tell me if you have it, and he stated he was too busy. I hope mangement reads this comment becase not only did Shoot straight lose my business indefinetly, they lost a sale to a local competitor. Im sure this representative has or will lose other cusotmers for your business as well.
This range is great, reasonable range fee and no membership required. Definitely the best option in Sarasota for an indoor range. Also has a great selection of guns and ammo at competitive prices.
At first it seemed to be a great place, big selection and decent prices. When I was buying an item, they were all over me with a nice attitude and joking around, when the sale couldnt happen, they turned into a rude, arrogant bunch and ignored me like a plague, then wanted to charge me a 25% fee on an item that never even left the store, after arguing about it, the manager finally dropped the fee with a bad attitude about it, as long as I jumped through his hoops.I had to make a few calls to straighten out the purchase problem on my end, there was only one young man there that had a pleasant attitude and helped me out with some much needed information, but after the attitude I got from the others, Ill make my big dollar purchases elsewhere. If I had been treated correctly, Id have spent thousands there in the future, because theyre right by my home......their loss, try treating ALL customers with respect ALL the time, not just the quick easy sale ones, because you never know.
Absolutely not pleased with this location. First off selling a bad Marlin. They could not unjam the weapon, had to take it to a gunsmith and pay for it to get dissasembled only to let it get it jammed immediately after. Sent to Marlin manufacture. Got one shot off after just receiving it and it jammed again. Secondly the customer service was terrible through out this whole entire process. They took nothing serious, no eye contact what so ever like they never cared. Now anybody curious about purchasing a weapon from this location youll be introduced by everybody but a professional. No usefull information at all. Do your research before purchasing. Only time there is customer service is during a sale. Better places out there than here.
Nothing but rude people that work here. We paid to shoot and being asked if we are done yet. Then speaking to the manager who was just as rude and not letting people finish talking before walking away. He literally kept walking away from my husband who was trying to talk to him. We are fold with all Shoot Straight locations...
Went in two weeks ago to buy a shotgun. They were very helpful and very patient. Asked what they could do on the price and they knocked off 10%. Very clean, spacious and bright. Will be going back to shoot.
Pro’s: Clean new store over staffed wich is a plus. Large showroomMy thoughts: I went in today to sale/trade my AR 15. For a AR10. My AR is less then a year old and has had 3 30 round mags put threw it. I was offered 225.00. For a less then a year old AR15 that was close to 700 dollars brand new. I realize you will never get all your money back out of something like that but there is a difference between making a profit and The used car salesmen approach of trying to take advantage of people. I was also lied to by them saying the gun retails for 400.00. Even tho I had the original receipt and the current online retaile value pulled up on my phone. What they dident know is I had cash in my pocket ready to buy a AR10 and if I was treated better I would of probably bought a new AR10 today. Besides that the store and range is nice. But I won’t be going back for anything.
Nice staff, nice selection of everything.Reasonable prices. Will be spending more time here.
Several staff members seemed uptight and really unfriendly. It also seemed like a constant problem for them about handling certain fire arms. Im sorry but if im going to spend 100s to thousands of dollars on a firearm i want to know everything about it. Shark coast tactical has a way friendlier staff, are way more informative and have no problems with you handling/taking apart any fire arms you are interested in so you know what youre leaving with.
Huge selection of gun. Decent prices. Really nice indoor range. Staff does not know anything about guns.
Very helpful employees, friendly and willing to answer all questions
Staff stiff and unfriendly to the point of rude. Stood at counter over 5 minutes would have purchased a 12ga. Bullpup left empty handed
Very nice range, nice shop as well, friendly staff. Only complaint was the way you pay to use the actual shooting lame. Rent a lane by the hour is just somthing Im not used too. Nice facility though dont take that as a reason not to check it out!
My wife and I patronized this establishment on 11/8/16(voting day) We wanted to get a couple handguns before the election was determined. My wife wanted a carry weapon and I wanted a full size handgun. We entered and were greeted by a gentleman named Michael(I believe). My wife was up first and he walked her through all of the carry guns, he did this patiently and answered all of our questions. He allowed my wife to handle and manipulate all of her options and she decided on a Sig 238 with all the bells and whistles. Now that she had picked out hers it was my turn, I was looking for a particular weapon, Sig Legion P229. Unfortunately, they didnt have one in stock, so I was going to leave heartbroken, when Michael said I have something else you might like. Interest piqued I followed him to a center counter where they had HK45s on sale for $729. Say what! $729 for an $1100 dollar gun?!? I know right... I shouldve bought two... Michael was cool, he gave great deals on both weapons and set us up with range time after the purchase. My wife and I had a great voting day. Three new guns, a little range time and our candidate won the election... What a day...
Best selection in the area. Nobody beats their prices.
The Wally World or firearms. Decent inventory and pricing (not on everything but for the most part). However some employees lack the knowledge.
Five star staff, but Im not a happy customer because of the company policy:For ppl expecting to visit the shooting range its good to know that youre only welcome if you have a concealed carry permit. I just spent a 35 min trip with the car in vain...Fortunately theres another range close where I was welcome.
Extemely Rude Customer Service!!!! Would give zero stars if it were an option!I was a customer of Shoot Straight for over 10 years and have made multiple firearms, ammo, and accessory purchases. Until today when I purchased new manufactured ammunition from this store that failed in my rifle and blew out the magazine. The Manager of the store informed me they have a zero return policy on ammunition and would not do anything to remedy the situation. He was extremely rude when I informed him I have been a customer for 10 years and would not be coming back as he pointed to the door. If this is how they treat a 10 year customer I just wonder how they treat new ones.
