Called ahead asking availability of specific plant. Provided common and Latin name. Was told they had in stock and was quoted a price. Told them I would be on my way to pick them up. Arrived and not only did they fail tove them (had not seen them in 12 years), but everyone acted like they had not said they had them. Will never return.

Wow! Have not been to such a beautiful nursery in many years! The selection is amazing, the staff is super friendly, professional, and knowledgable! I found my new favorite place in Sarasota. If you need anything for your yard, garden, or patio this is the place!

This was my go to nursery. But they sold me a front door mat that wasn’t being made anymore that you but inserts for.. quite expensive. They said the insets were not available due to Covid so I tried all season to buy then; checking often. I tried today and still none available. I finally went online and found out they aren’t being made anymore. Haven’t been made for 2 years!!I called. I asked if I could exchange for the new version. They said no!! I didn’t have my receipt. I have a loyalty acct plus a credit acct they could check!!!! This was false representation of a product… it wouldn’t take much to make this tight. Shame on them. They just lost a very good customer of over 18 years!!!

This is the nicest, prettiest garden center in the area. It has both inside and outside sections, and lots of everything you would ever need. Their flowering plants are gorgeous, and everything is really healthy. Theyve done some recent remodeling to what was already a pretty place, and now its even nicer. All the employees are helpful and super nice. I love coming here!

I was in the area (from Tampa) for Marie Selbg Botanical Gardens. I was recommended this store from an online hoya group I am in. They have a great selection of Hoya sp. The begonias were pretty extensive, as were the pepperomia sp. I loved the bonsai section as there was good variety of trees and pots in variable price range. All the plants looked healthy and the staff outside went out of their way to ask us if we needed anything. Overall an amazing experience in the 15min I was able to spend there. I am well traveled with garden centers and I will be back, with friends in tow! Till next time. : )Pics are of Hoya I purchased and put in a trellis I created out of wire.

Farm and garden is great, especially if you are looking for a unique plant you might not find elsewhere. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped us pick out plants for a pool deck planter that will survive the harsh sun. We also found two really nice fiberglass planters that were on sale 40% off. I would highly recommend checking them out. They also have some of the largest orchid specimens I have seen at a nursery.

Great place for outdoor pots and lots of plants. Lots of great colors, sizes and shapes of pots. We have been looking everywhere for just the right pots for our new flower bed and we finally found what we wanted here.

Typically I have a good experience here. I am very selective about where I buy my plants. One of the male managers, was combative today. I heard some terrible things he was saying as he thought I was on hold. I am a professional and he lecture me like a juvenile. I explained the story but he was adamant about pointing out everything I did wrong to get out of the conversation. I understand the return policy as it is written on the receipt. I purchased two expensive orchids with the bark and the pot recommended at the time of purchase. The orchids did nothing survive. I was out of town for one week and my (also a professional) friend functioned as my house sitter. She watered them a small amount once a week. The leaves faded in color and fell off. I called to see about exchange them as I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars in this store over the years and have never returned a plant! He spoke for himself, and the owner Amber, stating absolutely no exchange past 30 days and that he would ask her to call me but wasn’t confident that she would. I am just really disappointed in this interaction today. I expect more kindness from one of the nicer garden centers in the area. It’s not about the money! My partner is a medical doctor and I also run my own business and we extend profession courtesy even when it’s “against policy” when warranted. I was frustrated at the beginning of the conversation because I was disconnected 4 times while on hold so that frustration led him to speak poorly of me when he thought I was on hold.

I went there seeking advice on adapting a large antique trug to become a container for plants on my enclosed lanai. One employee suggested I use a heavy-duty construction sack for a liner and a large fence-type oval planter. Another employee recommended two purslane plants, put them with dirt in the oval planter, and wheeled them to place them in my car trunk. I was struck by the high quality of the advice and the expert and hospitable service. I also noticed there was a huge selection of pots and garden supplies for my future trips.

I bought lady bugs. So cute. I also bought a very healthy cherry tomato plant. They have an array of wonderful products and well stocked. They have gorgeous planters. This nursery is worth the trip.

Great products. Fair prices. But above all EVERY employee is helpful and sincere. They are obviously well trained to follow a positive business model serving customers. Jay, a manager helped and he was fantastic and patient.

This is a good higher end nursery that isn’t snobby and has a pretty good selection. Most of the prices are negligibly higher (5-10%) than you would find elsewhere, some things are way more and other things are crazy good deals. They have the usual assortment of high school/college kids doing most of the work but there is usually someone around that knows what they are talking about if you need something.

Been going here for landscaping when we 1st moved to SRQ and I continue to purchase beautiful annuals, herbs and veggies throughout the year. Always top notch.

This rating pertaining to the landscaping service, which contracts with the garden center, but is not part of their employee base. The landscape architect started with a plan and made suggestions we liked. We had 3 plants die within the 90-day replacement period. Several attempts to reach the architect to replace the 3, plus order some additional plants went unanswered. I advise using a landscaper thats an employee of the company supplying the plants/trees.

I love shopping here and prices are quite affordable. Place is clean and not crowded.

Wow! Just went with my girl for the first time and was blown away by their vast selection of garden goodies! They have this amazing beautiful sounding wind chime thats about $230 and honestly it was one of the most magnificent things I have ever heard! Its a black one in case youre interested not the biggest one a size or two smaller

This is the best garden store in Sarasota. Id even say Florida. Everyone is so helpful and they always have exactly what Im looking for! They have beautiful healthy plants! Their selection of orchids is stunning too! I got this one there!

Stopped in, needed help getting the right items. When I asked for help I could hear them on the radio sounding very irritated they needed to help someone. Guy comes over and I explain what I need help with and was just told to go pick stuff out, he was clearly irritated that I was asking for help and advice and made no effort to show me what or where I needed to go. This is the second time I’ve tried shopping here and both times nobody wanted to help me, they acted like it was a huge inconvenience to actually help a customer. Won’t be going back.

Of all the places I’ve been too, I was blown away by the selection of plants. They have it all! Like EVERYTHING. You can even bring your pup! BUT they are fairly pricey.

This is a great garden center! They have everything one could possibly need. Houseplants, landscaping, herbs, veggies, flowers and the containers to grow them in. Lots of garden knick- knacks, too. I stopped in because they were having an orchid sale. While the orchard are pricey, they are excellent quality, very healthy and boom wonderfully. At 20% off they are worth it. Of course, I came home with a lot more than just an orchard. I refreshed the herb garden and picked up a new pot for my overgrown aloe plant.

Ive been going here every once in awhile for about 9 yrs. now. I am a city gal and pretty ignorant about flowers and plants. I want what looks nice, but is easy to care for. The service here is excellent. They really try to please, are very helpful, and if it can be done, they wont say no. Also they deliver. If service is important to you, then go to Farm and Garden. Pleasant people to deal with; all of them.

I’ve been to most of the nurseries around Sarasota/Venice/Tampa and this place has the best selection of indoor plants. They are also reasonably priced. I bought Hindu rope, begonia, silver leaf pilea, and one other plant.Had a question about begonias and they were very helpful.I would definitely recommend if you are looking for indoor plants.

We have shopped here several times over the last few years since we stumbled upon it. Every time has been a wonderful experience. It has one of the best selections of merchandise/plants around (we have shopped nearly every garden center in central Florida). The staff is always kind and helpful and the prices are good. We always stop in while in the area and highly recommend this store for gardening enthusiasts.

There is always someone to help me [find the guy that owned his garden shop in MA before he moved to FL...patient, kind, knowledgeable;] and there is a great selection and 20% off sales on something every week. I just wait till w hat I want is on sale and then go buy them out. [bad habit] I think this place is the best in town.

Very disappointed! Disappointed in the small size of the plants I recieved for the large price I paid. The first picture is a big, beautiful pothos I bought at a nursery nearby for $12.50. I needed 13 more for decorating our church. I showed the people at Your Farm and Garden the 1 plant I had purchased, and they said they could order 13 more for me. They seemed confident they could get me what I wanted. They later called and said it would be $25 per plant and I would have to pay for them in advance. Since I could not find any 10 hanging pothos plants elsewhere, I did this. A week later, when I went in for the plants, they were small, and flimsy, and hardly grown at all. The second picture is of the plants I recieved from Your Farm and Garden for over double the price of the first one. The decoration in the church looks terrible! 1 beautiful pothos purchased elsewhere, and 13 ugly, tiny, overpriced pothos purchased at Your Farm and Garden. ☹By the way, I drove an hour from Fort Myers to do business with them. What a waste of time, energy, gas, and money. Unreliable business!

I have followed Farm & Garden for 25+ years as its moved locations and grown. Its my go-to place for top-quality plants and the expert, LOCAL know-how it takes to grow them in my Sarasota garden.You can buy plants cheaper @ Walmart and Home Depot, but dont expect them to last long -- and dont expect their personnel to know anything about what theyre selling, other than whats printed on the tag.Gardening in SW Florida requires research, trial and error, and knowledge of our unique upside-down growing seasons.Farm & Garden is the best place to start. Dont bother with the big-box chains if you want success.

CROOKS! Stole my expensive breakfast buffet! Sent me a contract that states that they take possession of my property after an unknown time frame. I NEVER SIGNED ANY CONTRACT WITH THEM! they dont have a legal leg to stand on. They now use the covid excuse to dodge my legal server for my lawsuit. Do not trust these thieves! The only way they make their living is getting their merchandise for free.

I havent been in to Farm & Garden for years. We moved out of the area and were in for a visit. I was truly impressed with the selection of plants and garden decor. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

WOW! Hard not to buy everything. Such a wonderful selection of annuals, perennials, herbs, shrubs, and trees! They also have an extensive collection of items to add a little (or a lot) of flair to your lawn and patio. What I really love about this place is that they tell you which plants prefer shade (and thats where they are displayed - in the shade). The sun loving plants are IN THE SUN! So you know that when you decide to plant them in the sun at your home, they have a fair chance. Go check them out!

I have shopped at this nursery for over 12 years now and have generally been happy but things have changed, In a big way!The senior management of this Nursery cares little about their customers . Although the vast majority of the customers were fully Masked and Many had gloves, 95% of the staff wearing no protection at all. They regularly mingled with the customers at very close quarters.The mask is worn to protect other people not yourself. It is incredibly disrespectful to not wear one. When I approached the manager about the matter on the phone she was extremely rude and hung up on me.So much for shopping locally… I’m going online!

I remember this business from downtown when it was know as Hibbs and they moved here. Hibbs is well known in this town. After the move, I assume it was sold, but still a really good nursery. I buy here often

The whole shade plant area is being renovated so selections were limited...but its still our favorite garden shop.

Everything you can dream of is for sale here. The prices are higher as Home Depot, but so is the knowledge. The pottery section and the water section is especially attractive.
