Love this place ... We come from the lower Hudson valley area to come here... Always well worth the drive. We spend a hour or so and always find lots of books. And for $1 each...cant beat that deal!

An unmanned book store with a camera and a money box. Great for kids to choose a book or two for a buck each. Not just paperbacks; DVDs, books on tape, and hardcovers too. Pretty picked over but enough variety to find at least one.

Ive been here several times and always find at least one book. Its like going to a book garage sale - you never know what youll find, and you really have to look through everything. Its not organized the way a bookstore that sells new books would be organized, although childrens books are separated out, and cookbooks are mostly in groups (,but not all in the same section). Its a fun way to shop, and you find books that you wouldnt normally find if you only looked in one genre of books. :-)

Book, books, and more books. Just as described this is a warehouse full of books and they are all 1$. Take your time exploring 1000s of unsorted books then check yourself out at the cash only counter. Some parts are unheated so dress accordingly.

It was great. A little overwhelming at how many books there are. We could spend hours here. Every book is $1

Every year, my family takes an almost 2 hour car ride to Saratoga for my birthday. I love it here and Im so glad that I could come back. Thank you for creating a book lovers paradise.

Full of disorganized junk. There is very little worth the $1 at which everything is priced. Lots of Bibles, dictionaries, outdated non-fiction, and second rate fiction. Its also weird that no one mans the store but you have to show your purchases to a camera and drop cash in a lockbox. The back section in the barn is poorly lit, unheated, and has a very uneven floor which is a high trip hazard. Not worth a visit in my opinion.

All books just $1! Great place to stock up on books without spending a fortune. Pretty well organized. Checkout is honor based, but any time Ive encountered a staff member theyve been very polite!Once you go through to the second room the door opens up to another huge room also full of great stuff!

$1 honor system checkout was a cute touch! Lots of random interest books from kids to mysteries to crafts and cooking. I will be going again!

Great price. Great selection. Little organization. Come prepared to poke around. The warehouse is not heated, so wear your coat.

Strange self service bookstore. Every book is a dollar. Go through the plywood door in the back room to access the unheated wearhouse area. Hundreds if not thousands of books randomly placed on shelves. Plan on spending a while.

Place welcomes you with threatening signs before you even enter the building. No stealing! No backpacks! Once inside, it is dirty and cramped. Someone, presumably staff, eventually indicated we should pass through a large plywood door - which turned out to be locked - and then chastised me for using the bathroom. Seriously unpleasant dude. Personally, I would avoid this place.

Lots of variety, fun to search

Very strange space. No organization. I go here a few times a year for books with images for use in collage artworks. There is no one there the vast majority of the time, and there is an automated checkout, or box that you put your money in when youve found your books.

Lots of books but in no order so be prepared to browse.
