We showed up, not realizing an appointment is needed (note: an appointment is important). We lucked out and were helped in less than 30 minutes. This gave us the perfect amount of time to ogle the great selection of frames. Laura was a delight, chatting with us while she measured. Lovely experience. Thanks, Bay Optical!
Met my son at Bay Optical to give opinion on frame options. The staff was wonderful. In particular the optician was very helpful and patient. While there the optician checked for when my insurance would cover my next pair of glasses. My son and I both left as very happy customers!!!
I set up an appointment for 2 o’clock. They told me to get there 15 minutes early so I can make out paperwork. 230 came around I still hadn’t been seen. No update on how long it’s going to be before I see the optometrist nothing. I walked out. Thank you for wasting my time.

This was my first time at Bay Optical in Saratoga and it did not disappoint. Dr. Dobie performed a thorough eye exam and was very knowledgeable. All my questions were answered and she took the time to explain her findings. The staff was also very friendly and went out of their way to help me. Although they had a great variety of sunglasses, I wanted a pair of Maui Jim’s. Since I didn’t see the pair I wanted, Donna was able to call the Maui Jim rep and arrange for her to bring different styles to the store the next day for me to try on. Donna and Lauren both went out of their way and worked with me to make sure the glasses were covered under my insurance and that they fit perfectly.Thank you for making my experience at great one!! I come here every year to get my eyes checked and then a new pair of glasses. This group exemplifies professionalism and excellent customer service. Dr. Dobie is very friendly & thorough. She explains everything so I understand and always answers all my questions. The Opticians are always aware of the new trend and very helpful matching my face to these new frames available. I need this as I am in business where I need to look professional and Bay Optical ALWAYS comes through and improves my look! I highly recommend you come here!
Dr. Dobie was efficient & thorough with my eye and contact lens exams. I was happy to learn that I got a 15% discount on an annual supply of contacts and was still eligible for an additional rebate. The optician help me also select the most trendy pair of glasses. I have received so many compliments from all of my friends. I highly recommend Bay Optical!
The people in this office have been consistently rude and condescending each time I come in. They make patients feel unwelcome and bothersome. Don’t go to Bay Optical unless you literally have no other option.
I wouldnt use anyone but for all my optical needs. In my experience Bay Optical provides the best service from start to finish, and then some...
Good experience with optician, but the office will refuse to give you the pupillary distance measurement to force you to purchase glasses in the store, saying it is per frame, which obviously is not true- your eyes dont get farther apart based on what glasses you have on!Dont enjoy being lied to in order to force me to spend more money there. I do get that the eye exam is a loss leader and they make money on the glasses, but I already purchased one set of frames and was perfectly willing to pay an additional fee to get the measurement.Despite really liking my optician, I think I will go somewhere willing to give me my entire prescription (even for an extra fee!) in the future.

Brought my 4 year old daughter in to look for her 1st pair of glasses and we were treated horribly by a woman named Debbie we will NEVER use Bay Optical again! This woman made a 4 year old leave the store in tears, who had walked in initially being super excited to get her first pair of purple glasses. Absolutely disgusted 😡
I was in a car accident wherein my glasses were destroyed. Cant see without them, cant work without them. So youd think, under the circumstances of what I would consider an emergency, that Bay Optical would make some effort to squeeze me in somewhere??? Nope. Told me I had to wait a month! I cant begin to reconcile that kind of customer care... please do yourself a favor and find an eyeglass provider that has a heart!!!
What a nice experience ...I went in to pay for a complicated adjustment of a pair of glasses gotten elsewhere.Very happy to help me if I could wait 15 or so minutes....and there would be no charge....If I get optical coverage...They would be my first and only choice..!
I brought in glasses that I got elsewhere because the strength worked out well for me. I was told it was wrong and was given a different prescription. I tried for months to use these new glasses to no avail. Something is wrong with the presciption or the lenses are distorted. I was too busy to bring them back, and just switched back to the older pair that I brought in.
