I needed a ring appraised on short notice for insurance purposes. I spoke with Mary and took my ring in. They even let me come in earlier than my appointment at noon. She got the work done and informed me it would take a day to complete writing the paperwork up. She had it completed everything within a few hours and I was on my way. They even provided me with some helpful tips on insuring jewelry and different companies and their services.Would definitely recommend their services. Professional, clean, and very friendly staff!

The owner is very rude. I went there the first time and got a really good deal from the guy that works there and that’s why I went back but the last 2 times the owner was very rude complaining that her rent is 5k and basically no more deals. No more business from me then. So shoppers beware. Because she wants to show me a coin on eBay selling for $179 but when I looked them up other prices was $25 to $40 for the coin. This place was new to me and I was going to be a weekly customer and the lady ruin a very good business relationship with me so to the guy that works there good for you. I called ahead of time to see if this facility would be interested in some vintage 1888, etc pocket watches. I told her I had on the phone what watch it was and she said she is very interested in looking at it. I show up to the location and she tells me she’s not interested and that it has no value although it was the same exact watch that she knew I was bringing in. She also has no idea about rare vintage watches and will give you a totally incorrect value. And by incorrect I mean over $1000 under. Please deco here for any pocket watches or probably watches in general. Very poor business skills. Unknowledgeable employee(s) (I can’t speak for them all because I don’t know all of them but the woman I dealt with was terrible. Do not go here to sell vintage watch items. they are looking to score for nothing, and they don’t do their Due diligence and research

The worst! I tried to purchase a necklace online that was listed for $950. While on their website (which I would rate as poor) a popup appeared offering me a $100 credit if I subscribed to their newsletter. So I did and when I went to use the coupon code to purchase the necklace the code was no longer valid. I called the store and talked to Paul who was going to get back to me in 24hrs. after he looked into the problem. I did not hear back from Paul so after 48 hours I called the store and asked for Paul. I was put on hold for 13 minutes before I hung up and called back.This time I asked for the manager, I was put on hold again and this time I hung up after 10 minutes. I tried one more time only to get their recording to leave a message. Obviously with caller ID they knew I was calling again. This is probably the worst retail store I have ever dealt with, terrible customer service and a manager who couldnt care less. There are plenty of places to spend your money, dont do it here!

They go above and beyond to give you the best price for your gold and silver. Please, please trust me when I say this, do NOT take your jewelry to another place in the burbs. Learned that the hard way. They also have the most beautiful jewelry for sale. I told my husband that for my birthday or our anniversary, to go here!! They also give you chocolate and candy treats as a parting gift! The employees are helpful and very nice. I cannot recommend this place enough. You will be a very happy customer!!

Never go there! I went there to sell nice diamond estate jewelry. Try to have an intelligent conversation with her but zero personality and customer skills. What a joke. I told her I had appraised a few yrs back at $3200(I know appraisals are usually high for insurance replacement) for the 3 pcs. Her idea of A good price was $375 for all. Wasnt even scrap value. Fat chance. I do look forward to offering them 10cents on the dollar at their going out of business sale which Im sure is in the near future.

Looked at me suspiciously the whole time, guy helping knew zip, made me take offmy hat, lady there made me feel like she was doing me a favor, and I have been a local in the area 20+ years. On the other hand selection was decent, bought just one item, when I was considering many more before the experience there. Going out to buy some pms today, was considering here, but after the reviews reminded me of my last experience, will be driving elsewhere.

Felt extremely intimidated trying to browse in this store. They have very unique estate items - and it could have been an enjoyable experience, but we were watched so closely by the armed guard, we felt like common criminals. The woman working here was not very friendly and every time I moved to another area of the store, the guard shadowed me. He even escorted us out of the store by holding the door open! I understand why they have a guard - my first cousins father-in-law was killed during a robbery in his high-end pawn/jewelry store. Still, my husband and I agreed this was a very uncomfortable experience. I would never consider buying anything here nor would I sell them items - Im sticking with my tried and true pawn shop in Arlington Heights!

I went into this establishment with my husband a week ago. When we arrived we had to wait a while for the lady to get off the phone. However, once she got off the phone she proceeded to help another customer who had come in after us. Therefore, we had to sit and wait even longer. When she finally acknowledged us she took a look at a pair of diamond earrings and a diamond engagement ring (and our paperwork for each) and proceeded to give us an amount for both. We decided to hold off and think the offer over. (She even wrote our name and the amount she gave us down for future reference) A week later when we decided to come in and sell the diamond earrings the same lady was very rude and dishonest. All of a sudden she lies and says that she told us she wasnt interested. When my husband reminded her that she had made us an offer and even wrote it down then she says Dude I dont want them...I cant do nothing with them....sorry. I really wish she would have said that a week ago instead of wasting our time. Had I paid attention to some of the reviews about this place I should have decided against going the first time around. For anyone thinking about going to this place please use CAUTION! To Ms. Pelski shame on you for treating your customers like that! The way we were treated I will never come back to your establishment again let alone refer anybody. It is not a good look for Jewelry Mart at all!

Had a good experience today, bought a 10 oz silver bar and some Eagles prices were very reasonable and just over spot for the bar. Eagles were on par pricing wise with competition. Even got my change in uncirculated Susan B Anthonys & Sacagaweas. I shall return!!!PS the young lady behind the counter was very professional and had a nice smile...

My husband took in a watch for a battery and when his watch was returned it was scratched up. They said they would buff it out but charged him again! After 2 weeks he went to pick up his watch and now the clasp was bent and doesnt close correctly. They denied any responsibility, refused to fix it, threw his money back to him and said have a good life. He couldnt believe it. This is the worst possible place you could take your jewelry! They also deleted my review on Yelp. Beware.

Been here a few times, sold some coins, went again and had the same type of experience. Woman who works there is very rude. I think shes the owner as she is always there. No hello when you walk in, and she is always rushing to get through what you have to sell. Very dismissive of what I brought in, then she just walks away. NEVER going to this place again, and i recommend anyone else to stay away as well, unless you enjoy being treated rudely.Advice to ownership- learn some customer service skills. If you dont like what you are doing sell the business.

(Tax cheating)I did no buy it and offer her $300.00 to begin my side of n gosiatiin, it was a real beat up ring, she start throwing, racist comments like its not Shirilanka and called me idiot, and just have the security guy (who was actually seams like a nice guy) and noticed that she is passing me racist comments, I smiled and walked out.I just read the reply, I offer $300.00 (first offer) for the ring which they priced for $367.00 hmm is that called keep novitiate . No my friend they throw me out with out negotiation ( I actually liked the ring and would of buy it. In my story I mentioned I just walked in to know the place, I offered some thing when I was not even ready to buy and still start negotiation, it was a beat up ring but I liked it. We could of make a deal and meat in between.It was really a sad and a bad experience I have, which has made me think a lot.
