What a beautiful and super comfortable Apple flagship store. Many places to sit outside while waiting. I wish more stores are this spacious and have such elegant designed interior.Love our new iPhone 13 pro, itβs super fast and the camera is so amazing, takes great pic in the dark. πItβs super nice to actually touch my gears before buying it. To make sure it feel right in my hands. Super nice people works here.
Came here a few times during my stay in Seattle, wants to try on some of the new Apple watches and the bands, and the second time to pick up my very on brand new Apple Watch series 7! The staff were very warm and welcoming, and itβs a beautiful store location. Same Apple atmosphere that you are used to in a gorgeous store
Will update β¦. Sitting here for a 15-20 wait over thirty minutes. Saturday β half as much employees that I can remember. This is not great service. They do no repairs. Either you have in Warranty, AppleCare or they offer you to sell you your old product discounted or you trade in. NO REPAIRS WHATSOEVER anymore.
As always, Apple service is top notch. Be sure to have realistic expectations when you visit, especially if you have product issues. Youll need an appointment to sit with someone at the Genius bar etc. But honestly, it is always busy, but they are friendly, efficient and get to folks as quickly as they can.
Very poor customer return experience. I ordered iPhone and iPad at the same time. I got my iPhone 1 week ago but the iPad hasnβt shipped yet. I cannot return my iPhone because the iPad hasnβt been shipped. Thatβs stupid! When I receive the iPad, the iPhone will pass the 2 weeks return period. The apple staff just told me to call Apple support and provide NO help! There is no patience and they keep asking me to stay away from the table! I was very disappointed!
The most unfriendly customer experience when it comes to getting the phone checked out which is not the case when you are purchasing one. Made a reservation for getting the phone checked out and missed my appointment time and requested if I could have it still checked out but was asked to wait for 3 hours. The reason I was delayed for my appointment was because I couldnβt get my phone to back up on Mac. I spent 3 hours and Google to figure it out but was shown zero empathy.
Today I came with an appointment at 3:40pm.40 minutes later, I asked, because they asked me to wait until my βgeniusβ was available. They told me it would be another 10-20 minutes, because I still have a person in front of me.Then, the solution for my problem is to buy a new phone, because it passes all the checks.Great.
This is the nicest a Apple store Iβve ever been to. Itβs like a perfectly symmetrical pagoda with a park out front. Iβm an Apple nerd, but even haters like the building. Definitely check it out if youβre in U Village
The wait was long but received great service. The store is clean, the staff are kind, and are following all local health guidelines. My phone was glitchy and the wifi stopped working. For some reason that caused a bunch of other errors including not allowing the phone to be backed up. I know these things can take a while. Apple will.always trouble shoot and do whatever it takes to save the phone. I came with the understanding that they have to do all their test and that will take a bit. So I sat there for about an hour as they turned off and on my phone. Then told me they had to reset it and erase it. Finally, because I have apple care they replaced it for free.My recommendation; before you come to the apple store back up your phone on your PC. They will erase it and due to corona, they will not back it up. Tell yourself you will be there for an hour at min. so make a day of it. University Village has ton of shopping and restaurants. Make a list of the groceries you plan to buy or go for a walk and window shop the stress away. It is a beautiful location and you will leave satisfied with the whole ordeal.
All I want is to be able to call the store and ask a simple question but all their fancy technology and I canβt even do that.
That is not great service at alls!!!! I was asking for Apple Watch series 7 at sign in spot and put a time for making appointment to shop it. They dont have any in stock, and they didnt tell me. I sit and wait for it 1.30hrs. It wasted my time!!!
There is no stopping in to get your device looked at. I stopped in on Wednesday afternoon and the next available appointment was on Friday afternoon, I got an appointment came back and the wait was still over 30 minutes before a diagnostics person would be available, unfortunately my schedule did not allow for this. I wish they would not book more appointments than they have employees to help customers.
I got a iPhone 12 Pro Max through T-Mobile and the phone had charging issues from plug-in. This Apple did a test which failed so my βWarrantyβ covered a free replacement for the internal part that was needed which was a 4hr wait. Only to find out that I was unable use GPS or play videos or music since I could not get 5G. This was because according to T-Mobile the 12βs were burning out the SIM card. I should have been given a brand new F-ing phone that cost me over $1000 but no, Iβm told that since I put half down before my 6 months I either have to pay the rest off or wait the next 9 months for an upgrade. I spent 10yrs away from apple products since the 3rd generation to save money wait for the better products and I come back to newly designed products that are still in the works of being compatible with modern tech. ππ
I decided to edit this b/c I donβt think anyone is ha Athena time to read about my entire crappie experience here. All you need to understand is that the mall itβs self would probably have a 5 star rating if it wasnβt for this one star βapple storeβ !!! At least half the ratings for this store alone are one star and the rest I wouldnβt count on. Fact is take the time to go to pretty much any otherβApple storeβ! I never seen this amount of incompetence at another βapple storeβ....
This temple-like looking building house probably the worst value to quality work force. Specifically in my case for replacing the battery under warranty they wiped out my whole system after I specifically noted not to do so number of times and on writing!!!!!!The manager there is only a blond white kid that would smile and lie into your face a set of prepared generic answers that are all as empty as he is. Be careful spending your money there.
It feels like theyβre so busy running the procedures theyβve invented to be βthe cool trendy tech placeβ, that they forgot that their purpose is their customers....What was bad:The worst part of today? Being told to wait 40 minutes before anyone could figure out that they couldnβt help me..... And all I wanted to do was go inside, ask a few questions, and maybe drop $1200 on a phone. They wouldnβt even let me in the building..... βWell, you can schedule an appointment on another day, or go online and orderβ -after a 40 minute wait.... especially when I was first in line this AM? yea, no thanks.I really want to like this store. I used to shop here before the remodel all the time and it was great. But now? I feel like, as other reviewers have stated? Theyβre basically so busy being over the top they simply canβt be bothered to take care of their customers. So unless you already know how this place works before you go? Donβt bother. Itβs like the chi chi country club of tech stores.... no thanks....They were polite at every step of the way. But the thought that someone might just be there to walk in and buy something, you know, an old fashioned customer, seems to have been totally lost on their management.....
Made a large purchase at this location and made sure to confirm email address for receipt. Store failed to provide receipt and refused to correct it afterwards. Poor customer service resolving issue.
They are always super helpful and patient. A fun time even if you just want to explore neat architecture.
I called ahead at noon and asked if they are doing walk-ins today, specifically to buy an iPhone 12 Pro. They said yes, go ahead and stop by, we can get you a phone today. Then when I get there at 2:30 PM, the guy rudely says they wont be able to help me until tomorrow. Way to waste an hour of my time. I never leave reviews but this was awful. I will never shop here again.
Made appointment for repair and checked in. 25 minutes later no help. Do not recommend.
Worst experience at an apple hands down. Both the genius and the manager i spoke to were super rude and condescending. Save your time and avoid like the plague
Shout out to the awesome staff at this location. You guys rockπ€
Genius Bar can be a bit of a wait but always worth it.
Lots to EXPLORE. Very clean. Nice place to shop, walk, relax, grab a bite, take a yoga class, get a massage, eye baubles, look for something new for home even get your shoes re-heeled!Specialty shops, shoe repair(!), eateries, coffee, candy, confectionery, beauty, spas and hair salons, lots of specialty kids shops, home, running, outdoor, jewelry, etc.Dog friendly: water bowls and fountains, bags and dog walk areas, kid friendly: kid play area. Wheelchair friendly. Elevators, escalators, smooth pavement, protected walkways from traffic. Umbrellas free to borrow. Bike Share. Public Restrooms. Beautiful landscaping and cheeky fountains.QFC is also nearby.
This review is specifically for an employee at this store named Griffin. Hope I spelled that right. He really went above and beyond to get me a new phone even though I didnβt have an appointment (didnβt know I needed one, my bad), and was very helpful when my stupid Sprint sim wouldnβt work. Griffin was very patient and accommodating and made my experience at a place I usually loathe going to a positive one.
My fave Apple store location in the Seattle metro area. Knowledgeable staff, excellent stock on hand, central location.
Been here so many times for a walk in but didnt get any slot. Then I booked an appointment and they made me wait for 30 mins. All of that for just shipping my headphones to main office! They are doing somehing wrong to not be able to serve appointments on time!Worst ever they make you sit and wait for an appointment without updating anything even after the actual time!
Worst Customer service.Recommend a 0 Star for wasting time.Called a day before to ask if I can replace one of the airpod which I lost.I was told by the store I can walk in anytime and they have it on store.I drove all the way and the refused the service and asked me to make an appointment as they are busy.
I talked with a technician who is from outside of US and told me I have an appointment today at this store. It tuned out it is tomorrow. I should have double checked the date before going but this store got 1 store because none of service people showed sympathy. They simply didnt care. I will never go back there.
Brand new store. Sitting in the middle of the outdoor mall. The space is huge, and on the weekends very busy. I have upped my rating because of the help that I got. In the past, the check in system and getting anybody to help is actually a huge pain. Especially during busy times.Today was a great experience. Quick, attentive, and informative. The staff is ALWAYS knowledgeable once you get them. With the new store and hype it seemed as if they were very well covered for team members so questions could be answered.
This place is woefully understaffed. Donβt come unless youβre ready to spend 45 minutes waiting. The staff who are there are great.
2016 15β MacBook Pro screen black off after opening lid more than 70 degrees. This is a design flaw from Apple but they expect customer to pay the price. No more customer trust for sure.
I hate this store. I have been to MANY Apple stores so I figure this must be an outlier. First, the whole COVID issue. They treat you as though you are Patient Zero. You have a gaiter? Too bad, you got to wear one of THEIR disposable masks. Sorry Apple Store, but if the CDC doesnβt have a problem with people wearing fabric gaiters, it should be good enough for you snobs. Secondly, they march you about like Border Patrol. βGo stand on that dotβ, wait on the this dot, until you are called overβ, βSit in that chairβ. Commands. Thatβs all they bark. My problem is that I have already given Apple roughly $15,000 of my hard earned money for various products, and I get more respect, better treatment, and a smile from everyone working at the adjacent QFC where they donβt seem to feel the need to dictate and direct. If you live nearby, just be satisfied with Apple.com, Costco, or prepare yourself to drive to another store. Truly, this place deserves Zero stars were it an option.
Professional, polite, smart and friendly workers. The location is amazing and that is a huge store.Fast interent, charger, seats are available. They fixed my phone very fast and with smile. Room for improvment: the store is -for sure- under staffed.
Let me start by saying, I only give reviews when itβs deserved. When I went into the Genius Bar this evening, I was directed to an associate named, I think it was Devin. He was extremely helpful and gave the best customer service experience. I was his last customer at the end of his shift and he had no problems being helpful. Surprisingly, he was in good spirits even though he said he had 3 blown out tires on his car this morning. Great guy and because of his attitude, I give this shop 5 stars. Hats off to you!!!
Exceptional customer service. This is from the perspective of a jealous Google Pixel Android user. If you have problems with your Android phone... Good luck trying to find service and support like this.
Fun place to shop, window shop, and just hang for every one. Parking can be a pain on Fridays to weekends as it is very popular with locals and right by the University of Washington.Shops are mid to high end, plenty of seating if you need a break from shopping, and a variety of food/dining options for satisfying your hunger. Personal favorites are Hokkaido Ramen on University Lane, and Maono/Rachels Ginger Beer at the north end.If its cheap eats you are looking for, head to the hot bar at QFC.Happy outdoor malling!
Love this place . Nothing is cheap about this mall. Stores and quality of craftsmanship is top notch.
Horrible, they decide to open the store later which is fine but did not notify customers with appointments. I have continually had horrible experiences with Apple at University Village. Great products but they really need to work on customer service and communication. When you are charging upwards of $1200for a phone itβs expected that service is better and at least organized.
As usual, a great place to walk with the kids. Make some shopping and lunch or dinner.
Lots of good restaurants and stores. Cute sculptures too :)
Very helpful with my Mac Mini. Helped me reinstall the OS. So grateful for their help.
The high end retail is covered in other reviews, but I wanted to point out the bathrooms are excellent. Very clean, with an epic (seriously) mothers lounge attached to the womens restroom I visited, near the escalators to Din Tai Fung. The restroom also includes sharps disposal.
Awesome shopping mall, a lot of stores and restaurants inside the Village, Microsoft and Apple stores inside, QFC and Rite Aid, parking all over the village, multiple levels garage, free parking, good variety of restaurants and stores, good customer service.
I needed to buy an iPad cable for a friend. After waiting outside in the cold for several minutes, I was allowed to describe what I needed the sales person to fetch from indoors. I gave the make, model, and dimensions of the product, but the cable the person produced was the wrong type. I dont understand the purpose of a curated experience where the staff doesnt really know there prices and makes the same amateur mistakes I would buying it off a shelf.
Great place for shopping, plus you can find amazon book store and many other good restaurants
Phoneβs home button stopped working right after a software update. Technician made jackass comments like βhow do you know the software caused thisβ and βcorrelation doesnβt imply causationβ. Talked to a manager who listen more but was still dismissive of my complaint and said I can buy a new phone or pay 169+tax for a new screen.
I like this store much. I visited both Apple Bellevue and University Village. Both are equally good. Sometimes this store gets more crowded than the other store. Anything other than pick up book an appointment.
Very nice small outdoor mall. Free parking garage available to help you get in and out. Wish I could have walk around more. Perhaps next time Im in the area.
What can I say, I love this place, esp during the holidays, with the πΆ playing on the outdoor speakers, the decorations, beautiful plantings, lots of shoppers with packages & bags, Santas cabin, coffee & other good smells wafting through the air & I feel safe shopping there @ night, too.
Lots of shopping stores..its a strip mall. There is free Valle parking and 2 free garages to park in as well. Very beautiful shopping center!!
Apple stores always makes me wanna buy their products.
AppleI do not recommend this store for those with medical exemptions if you can only wear a face shield l. Or maybe the official complaint I made reached the Manager and they are now accepting those like me. I researched Apples COVID masks guidelines as people with medical mask exemptions are ridiculed daily and forced to stay home in most situations. From their website it looked like it wasnβt too clear but most major retailers adhere to CDC guidelines and allow us to wear a shield if there is a medical reason. So I made my appointment. Brought my doctors note stating my use of a shield. The guy taking temperatures said cloth masks only but he went to go ask a manager. I never saw the manager, the employee just stated the manager refuses the shield, only people with a cloth mask are allowed to enter. I then asked, βdo they adhere to CDC guidelinesβ. He could not answer my question. Just saying I was not allowed to enter. I walked away after the scene and them telling me to stand off to the side as people stared at me. I then called Apple customer service. They said they go by CDC guidelines and donβt specify the type of mask that should be worn. CDC guidelines state those with medical issues can wear adaptations. Which I had, and a doctors note. I felt belittled, and made a spectacle of and treated like a freak. Apple should have a meeting about accepting those with different needs to their retail store and employees. I also have two disabled children who cannot wear masks good thing I did not take them with me. Thanks for showing your true colors and discriminating against those with medical issues. Again, we are treated like freaks for over a year and are forced to stay home in our bubble. One more business that will forever be engrained in my memory as not diverse or accepting of all people.
Very clean and comfortable enjoy shopping. But parking was so hard by lots of cars and visitors.
An architectural review of the University Village Apple store:The Apple store in the University Village was until at least somewhat recently located across a tarmac of parked cars from the awkwardly-similarly-facaded Microsoft store, Microsoft being west and Apple being east, the old Apple store having served 10 million visitors. Visiting this area again when visiting from out of town, I rounded the corner and discovered that tarmac had been paved over and a new piece of architecture constructed where naught but cars used to be: it was unmistakably an Apple store, but also a deconstruction of architecture itself. The approach to this Apple store is a bit dependent on which side you enter the University Village from -- the north entrances to the University Village are as ever seemingly deprioritized; the architecture and the moments within the mall make it clear you are meant to be navigating from the south towards the north. So, to assume you approach from the south first is the common outcome, but I want to focus on the approach from west or east, because this is where the building is most true to its core self: unremarkable in every way, yet undeniably monolithic in a thoroughly Modern way. You almost are struck with the twin senses of its monumentality and also its sheer ease of being almost ignorable, which is an extremely odd juxtaposition. If you have any experience in architecture, the rear view in particular, but to a lesser extent all views, strongly resemble architectural renders more than they do actual built constructions. This is either built straight from an early-in-production concept render, or a design that was stripped of everything possible at every stage through its design lifecycle. Its at this point in the review I should mention that Im not really a fan of Apples design aesthetics in general, which is going to color this entire review because for once I think we have a building that is very much aligned with the main identity of a company and youre either going to like it or ignore this building based on those preferences. In fact, I think that sums up this building in general; its an extension of things you are already thinking about Apple, and for that alone, it might be the perfect structure, or one of the worst Ive ever seen. And in how unassuming this structure might appear, appealing on the surface but discomforting and monolithic once you inspect it, I feel perhaps it should become an Amazon store instead. All this critique is padded considerably by a green roof, reportedly frequented by honeybees, which adds considerable favor to this reviewers opinion. With an emotional resonance that seems dependent on your view of Apple as a company, I give BJ Siegels Apple stores design three and a half stars.
They have all their pandemic-related issues worked out pretty cleanly. They have lots of space outside to set up social distancing and screening. Had my temp taken at the boundary. Staff found my online order quickly with the code from apple and I was brought to another staff in short order. He went inside and got me my new Apple Watch Series 6! It was smooth and easy. Just bring an ID to prove who you are after you register. I live my new watch!
While inside the Apple store, I asked staff about a watch band size and was told to βcheck the websiteβ.π€
The last Sunday before Christmas... small groups of people and families, all wearing masks. Not too crowded and the temperature here in Seattle (I do not live here) reminds me of the Central Coast of California at Christmas time... Still lots of trees and flowers in bloom but little ugly sweaters on the dogs (theyre welcome in this mall)... Definitely peaceful and a good pace after this incredibly taxing year. Happy holidays to all!!π€Άπ π
Such a wonderful shopping experience. One of the best in Seattle.
I realize that they are dealing with COVID challenges, but the service here is absolutely atrocious. It made me wish that I had not just purchased the new iPhone, honestly. I have been to Apple stores around the world, including several in the country during the pandemic, and I have never been treated like such an imposition as I was at this store. I went with the intention of buying AirPods, but I could not even look at them. Who buys a product without viewing? I wanted to check the size as compared to my old ones, because I had already returned the Pros I had purchased at Costco because they were too big. The rep just kept assuring me that they were the same size as what I had...excuse me if I actually want to see for myself. That was but one of the problems I had, including the 20 minute wait before someone even acknowledged I existed and only because I went over to get a manager.
Nov 2: Dropped of laptop, expected return date Nov 9Nov 10: I call, but theres no update.Nov 12: Repair shop email says theyve received the laptop. Expected return date updated to Nov 16Nov 18: I call, the repair shop is diagnosing my laptop.I only get updates after I call. One delay is bad but not unreasonable. Two delays is unreasonable. Not sure if the repair shop is backed up, but sending my laptop to the repair shop a week late has only made it worse. Perhaps the store is to blame, perhaps the backup. No concept of a loaner laptop, even with AppleCare.
You need an appointment to shop there but overall nice store and affordable
Simple and fast checkout process! I got my MacBook Pro and beats wireless solos from here!!
They are great, I got in without scheduling an appointment. They squeezed me in and fixed a my issue. I highly recommend this store for all your needs, new Apple products, Apple tech help, etc. Great customer service great care. Thank you!
Yet another apple store location. Didnβt buy anything though but the ambience and staffs were friendly.
Our Apple specialist Tye was incredibly knowledgeable about the products, straight forward in delivery of the information, and helpful throughout the process. Despite the many questions I had, he patiently answered them all and made our experience a great one. Not every visit goes as well, but today was a 5 star experience thanks to Tye.
Efficient and friendly service. :-)
Love this place! Tons of outdoor seating & 100% mask compliance both inside & out. A great way to get out and eat, especially if you are feeling stuck inside these days.
For the tourists like me who dont really know, this was a pretty high end mall and not a place meant for University crowds. Expensive but nice.
Extremely slow processing time, we waited for over 32 mins just for replacing a watch band. Horrible customer experience, never seen this before...and very rude βSpecialistβ who doesnβt allow me to touch their devices just because they need to wipe it out. Seriously, whatβs the point to be here if I canβt touch the devices?
An incredible piece of architecture. Each time I visit I am enamored with the sheer size and beauty of the building. Even if youβre not an apple fan, you can appreciate the solid design and fun experience of walking through. When all of the doors are open it transports me to Italy - love it! The customer service has always been spot on for me as well.
Excessive Covid restrictions even though the case numbers are going down. The store is driving away in business/potential shoppers because they are so hung up on their own outdated rules. The employee out front gave me the third degree about why I even wanted to come into the store today. Do I wanna shop? Do I want to touch and feel? Do I wanna look around? Is there something in particular Iβm looking for? Apparently you need to make an appointment and that is to look at something specific. You cant just go in the store and browse anymore. Seriously Apple employees...do you not understand what browsing is? Why cant you guys just limit the amount of people in the store at any given time like most other retail businesses? Way to be awful.Save yourself the trouble and buy online. Skip the store at all costs
Very unique with lots of precious gifts
Awesome! Just keeps getting better. Check out the new Restoration Hardware; 4 floors of glorious inspiration.
Very beautiful location. Many shops like brandy Melville, aritizia, and many others. Definitely worth a visit. Every employee in each store was super polite
Great place for a walk and shoppingFood variety is also great
Very nice store, and helpful people. They are super careful for covid, which is great. The store itself looks fancy and beautiful, and there is a great green field right by the store, in case you want to kill some time while waiting.
Got an apple watch series 4 for friend. It was quick and easy!!
Built in obsolescence. Forces you to upgrade with intentional bad battery life
Too cool for school. Cant get an appointment with the Genius Bar to diagnose a problem with my Apple Pencil. The guy directing people at the door doesnt even know how to set up an appointment. He just points me to a link which doesnt have any option to set up an appointment. This place is a timesuck and lacks service despite having so many customers.
Unprofessional staff! Had to wait 20 min on pick up!!!!
We had a delightful young woman help us get a new phone! She was knowledgeable and efficient. We were screened for Covid and there was lots of room to be distanced at our shopping appointment.
Nice shopping and dining place
So long story short: I bought an iPhone pro Max 11 in January 2020. I was on my moms iCloud account and she wanted me to get on my own account since my dad was also on the account. No problem, I went to university village to have them help me set up my own iCloud. The guy who was helping me took my phone and tried to do this. He looked confused the whole time and then hands me my phone and says βI donβt know how to do this, I only works in SALES.β Umm, Iβm sorry, what? I looked at him dumbfounded. I asked him why he was even helping me if he didnβt know how to do it. I was angry at this point and checked my phone to see he had screwed up my iPhone and now I canβt download any apps or do anything and have to have my mom download an app so it shows up on my phone. I asked him I could have someone who knew how to fix it help me instead and he said everyone was βtoo busyβ I just left. What a joke and next time make sure youβre working with someone whoβs not a liar who will not screw your phone up. Unbelievable. Ps: itβs still not fixed. Never coming back here.
Nice variety of shops. Starbucks. Pretty lights. Mrs. Cooks for cooking stuff. Garden shop. Parking is free but a little tough in peak hours.
Had an appointment and they werent even in stock. Wastes my entire day
There are many good stores and restaurants.
The new remodel has the University Village Apple Store looking fresh and innovative. The staff are fantastic and quick to service your needs. Will be back.
Bring the old giant multi-level Barnes&Noble bookstore back!
I love this shopping mall. So happy they have Veggie Grill and Madewell.
