B8ta is a just the kind of store I need right now - set up with new, unique, innovative products and an atmosphere that encourages in-depth interaction and conversation. First-hand experience is *everything* when it comes to learning about products, and undoubtedly leads to better understanding - allowing purchasers to know theyre buying the right product for them. With more information, and more hands-on time with products, Id speculate that return rates are far lower than in traditional purchasing situations.We purchased new e-bikes with the assistance of Sean at b8ta and couldnt have been more thrilled with the level of customer service, the overall experience and depth-of-knowledge, and (of course) the Rad bikes!

This shop is a Kickstarter’s physical manifestation of a dream shop. All of the products are extremely unique with some ranging from a lower budget and some well above what you would expect from a small gadget. The girl who help me out was extremely helpful and somehow knew a staggering amount about each product in the store. She was extremely friendly and I plan on coming back to this location just to check out the new gadgets. All start ups should aim to be this cleanly, helpful, and all-around delightful.

I walked into the b8ta store not having any ideas and expectations. I just wanted to browse to see if there’s anything I can get for my husband for Christmas. All the staffs were super friendly and especially Sean, the GM of the Seattle store, was very knowledgeable and helpful narrowing down the options. He also took his time to wrap the gift for me which was a huge help since it takes standing in a line to go get a wrapping paper these days! I would love to go back and get something for myself next time. The store has the coolest “toys” that you can try out and purchase! Highly recommend!

We drove three hours to check out the Tonal home gym. It was an awesome experience. Sean was friendly and knowledgable and allowed us to play around/test out the equipment without feeling pressure. He was able to answer all my questions and help me try out the functions that I was interested in. I can say that this experience put me over the top as far as my decision to purchase the Tonal.The store was clean and had plenty of cool gadgets and products. As another reviewer mentioned it reminded me of the old Sharper Image stores. If you like new tech gadgets I recommend stopping by to check out the store.

Im looking into purchasing a Tonal and called B8TA in Seattle for information on the Tonal machine they sell. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Sean Conroe who answered all of my questions. He was so knowledgeable and I look forward to my in person demo, which I plan to do after my online demo from Tonal themselves.

Great experience! The store has many fun and unique devices for a variety of uses. The crew that guides through demonstrations of features and benefits are friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. Sean is one of the most knowledgeable people Ive ever met. We we shopping for an electric bike when we met Sean. He walked us through all of our options with insightful and valuable commentary. We then did a test drive on two different bikes. It was one of the most helpful, efficient and fun shopping experiences weve had in a long time. And no, Im not related to Sean. Just impressed when someone is so helpful and clever.

The manager Sean is awesome. We booked an appointment with him to check out an expensive piece of tech, and he gave us his undivided attention during the demo. We really appreciated him working with our schedule as we had only came to Seattle to meet with him and experince the demo.

I’m a long time fan of U Village and it’s evolution over the years. It has been a hub for innovative retail stores. I made a new discovery of the B8ta store! Amazing products but even more remarkable is the store manger, Sean! He is knowledgeable, engaging and just plain FUN! What a delightful experience. I am sold on the e-bike and Sean is the reason why. He took time with us and shared great wisdom and insight of the industry. Can’t wait until my bike is delivered! Thanks, Sean! You’re the BEST.

Excellent experience shopping for new gadgets. I ended up making a purchase that I had not been planning on, and bought the Motive activity tracker. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be coming back to look around the next time I am in Seattle.

Visited again (first time since COVID...because, well, life) and loved everything about it. The employees, or b8ta testers as they call themselves, were fun and informative as always. They mentioned there was new weekly product launches WHICH WAS MUSIC TO MY EARS. I plan to come back and see whats new as often as I can. Also noteworthy: their dedication to sanitization and safety processes put me at ease and made me think a lot of other stores could learn from them.

I love that they now carry skincare products, and true to their brand, many of them are developed based on data and science!

My favorite store in Seattle. This is a fun place to check out if youre in UVillage. It has all the new products on the market to try.They are friendly and happy to help. They dont pressure you and it is basically like a walk in modern technology museum.I love the way they display each product and educate shoppers with a video description on the iPad.The products also range, so it is a great option for gifts!

I’ve been coming here since day one and let me tell you, it’s awesome. I love new gadgets! I’m probably one more innovation away from becoming a “Black Mirror” episode but totally worth it. I especially love my house decor- related products. Fantastic staff, very helpful and informative as well as approachable and honest. Love this place.

I don’t know why I have not come in before - I walk by this place all the time. I’m so glad I finally did! First, the staff. Friendly, outgoing and welcoming. Second, the concept and execution. Third, the products. I can’t wait to check in every month to explore what’s new! Feedback: it’d be neat to see more Seattle companies and outdoor products. Summer is approaching and I want new toys!

Cool retail concept full of specialty electronics and new tech products. Great place to get hands on with new, niche, tech toys.....although it felt like a few of the items had actually been on the market for some time.

I always go in here and its a treat to go in. Its expensive but the products are great. The technology here blows my mind but if you want to attract more people maybe have a sale every so often. I understand that its tech so I wont criticize too much. Love the store!

Super fun place to spend some time and see new tech. Theyve got a reasonable return policy and switch out their stock every month. Ive gotten a few items there or have bought them online later after playing with them. So far as Ive seen the prices are comparable to online.

I really wanted to like this store and for a short moment I did. I walked through B8ta but to me it just feels like a higher end Brookstone (and we all know what happened there). On first glance alot of the B8ta products look cool but none of them really stand out as groundbreaking or innovative. And because theres no big name behind it you feel skeptical of the quality and the high price tag. I think it has potential if they can come up with some products that truly challenge the market place

I LOVE THIS STORE. I’ve been going to this store since it opened and make most, if not all, my tech supplies. The staff is always welcoming and informative and the best part: THEY ARE NOT PUSHY! They really seem to care about their products and how they talk about them. I never feel dumb or under appreciated.10/10 will always shop here.

Excellent store. And excellent service / knowledge of the products by Sean Conroe. He was able to answer all my questions and then some. Placed a reservation on a Propella e-bike because I was able to test ride it at the b8ta store and because Sean was so knowledgeable about the product.

Fun store that’s full of goodies, many of which I’ve seen via Instagram ads and wanted to try. Sean was super helpful and I walked out with a great device for my bike commute.

Bumping up to 4 stars based on my experience.There are a ton of interesting items here. Feels a bit like one of the old Sharper Images but with more interesting stuff. My only experience with a purchase is with a backpack. After buying it I received an identical backpack as a gift. The return the one I bought and the process was easy with a very friendly staff.The reason not 5 stars is simply due to the nature of the store. At one point I saw something I did not purchase (a router, was doing more research). When I returned a couple of weeks later the inventory turned over. Makes the place feel like something you go into to try items hands on, but unless you like making large impulse purchases you may not buy from them.

A very interesting store and a great place to see what some of the most creative Innovative products that are being offered to Consumers.

The premise behind the store is that you can test out the products in store. Most of the stuff in the store did not work and a few products the clerk said you can’t test it out here. Doesn’t make sense. Nice concept very poor execution

If you like technology, this is a fun place to waste some time/money. Its a like a brick and mortar Kickstarter store. Test out new products and buy if you like. 8 new products introduced on the first of the month to keep the products fresh.

Good store that holds products from a lot of Kickstarter and Indeigogo campaigns. Its a pretty unique store.

It was fun to see and visit hands on store for newest technology. I like the Earphones hang on outside of ears.

Store says it opens at 9:30am on Thursday’s. Show up at 10:30 and it’s still not open... Only giving 1 star because I have to do it and it looks nice from the outside.

I learned about this store from watching a segment on King5 news, and it couldnt have been better timing! Im going through a complete home remodel and have been looking at home automation products for a while. When I made my first visit here last week, I was blown away by the staff and their knowledge about the upwards of 80 products they sold. I even had some general questions with other products not sold in the store, and between the two of the staff on the floor, they were able to answer everything Ive had on my mind. I never felt pushed to purchase anything, which is a nice relief from from most stores. Though I didnt buy anything on my first visit, the staffs level of knowledge and energy is what will make me return again to make a purchase. Thank you for a great experience!

Cool place to checkout new tech

A one of a kind store. Only store that I know of where you can actually test out every product. Has Oculus Rift and a ton of other smart devices. Wonderful staff that is very knowledgeable about all the products. Way better than Talls Camera which is what space they replaced.
