The new manager Amber was amazing. Kind and very knowledgeable. The service was a huge step up from my past experience. I would highly recommend Amber to get you what you want and need.
Stopped in today at the Sebring facility to find out if they accept my insurance which is a Medicare supplement and to see about a pair of glasses. The young lady informed me that I must put a mask on. I explained that I did not have one with me. I will mention here that having had my vaccinations plus having dealt with covid I did not feel obligated to wear one. I did tell her I would be happy to put one on if she provided it. She informed me they did not have any. This went back and forth for a while as Im explaining to her that if youre going to require me to wear them you best have them available. End result was I had my husband bring me in a mask and it turned out you dont take my insurance I felt very uncomfortable and will not go back to your facility. I will say that I had bought glasses there in 2019 but it wont happen again.
Exam to renew my contact lens prescription went very well the doctor was thorough. However i was quoted $100 per box for contacts which i declined. I ordered the same ones from 800 contacts for $49 per box and had them in 4 days.
Came in at 9:15 Sat am with prescription expecting to purchase 2 pairs of new glasss.Only saw one woman helping a customer. No hello, waited until I picked up a frame to try to say in a harsh tone we have a sign up there she pointed to cash register as I went to put the frame back, to put the frames in a box do not put back. Mentioned the note might be better placed near the frames not on your way out. Decided anyone that crabby after only being open for 15 minutes did not need or want my hard earned working money.Merchants say they need us but with customer service like that they sure dont deserve us. This is why I shop on line, Zenni and Glasses Plus here I come.
My 1st appointment was 5/11. My first impression was WOW. Extremely Cleaqn, everyone wore a mask, very friendly & Professional. I was greeted when I first came in by Yvonne, given papers, which happens with every Professional I go to. I asked if I could do this at a table. Which I did. While waiting to see the doctor. I smiled as I watched & listened to Mr. Magoo needing glasses. Funny, hes the same as he was when I was a kid.Yep, Im a Baby Boomer so on that note I was highly entertained. I went in to have my checkup by Dr.Varghese, very professional and through. He had a foot in a boot, so I asked what happened? He answered, he hurt it. There were no eye charts, no flashing lights to identify. He did everything including dilating my eyes. I went out to look for glasses. My insurance has an allowance for a certain amount. I went to that area. The selection was awesome. I chose some to try on. This was done with the help of Josephine, who helped be with my choice, which is fantastic. Cant wait to tell me they have arrived. Then back to Dr. V. who finished my exam. I had questions, he had answers. Im an anemic with very low iron. I also, have had cataract surgery on both eyes. I learned it can return. Which its starting to. Then the most amazing thing happened, lol he sat down an told me how he injured his Achellis Heel. I know this is wordy. My thoughts is this. If we take a little time to engage a person with a smile, a little question about their day, you wont believe what happens. I have had nothing but a great reaction. Then again, I really like people. Also, Carmen another person I enjoyed meeting and talking to. So, I highly recommend Optical Outlets in Sebring, Fl.
Update to this review: The district manager called me personally the same day of my complaint and we came to a solution. I really appreciate the quick follow up and have updated my rating to 5 stars. I will be back to Optical Outlets, the staff was nice and professional and my eye appointment in August was very efficient.Original review:Will not be back. You get what you pay for. Given an incorrect prescription for contact lenses and then was met with extremely poor customer service by staff and a manager who were unable to propose a solution for site staff error.
The optometrist Dr. Levy Varghese was excellent. I had been to a eye dr (opthamologist) recently because my eyes were red and vision was blurry. He thought it was allergies and prescribed drops accordingly. I was still having issue a month later when I went to Optical Outlet for glasses exam. Dr. Varghese did a very thorough exam and suggested a nighttime eye gel which seems to be helping my dry eyes. I purchased 3 pairs of no-line bifocals (progressives) on special. I’ve learned from wearing glasses for over 40 years do not let yourself get up sold until your sure you like the quality, fit and prescription first. I had a very good experience but I have not gotten my glasses yet to see the quality. I will try and update once I get them.
I used them in the Orlando and loved them. Im so glad they are now closer to me. They accept Medicaid and are quick and easy to find something covered under the insurance. Didnt have me in there all day. Would definitely recommend
My wife and I were referred here by our insurance company in Michigan where we reside. I was anticipating issues getting everything co-ordinated with our insurance company even though they had originally sent us here. Josephine was very patient and got all of our info and was able to set us up with appointments for the next day! Thank you Josephine!!!
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! The staff was extremely rude and we cancelled the appointment. I had made an appointment for my 21 y.o. daughter. Drove 27 miles to this place only to be told I was not allowed to go in with her. I had the info for the forms and was going to pay for everything. She is a broke college student. I have always gone in with her to help select her frames. I understand theres a virus out there, but its NOT THE BLACK PLAGUE. Stop watching lamestream fake news and drinking the kool-aid! I wish I could leave zero stars!
Its a new business but I hope they stick around for a long time. The frame selection had lots of options including some designer frames like Nine West & Calvin Klein. The store is clean & they greeted me as soon as I walked in. They had good deals too for 2 pair under $100. I will be back for my annual exam every year.
I’m say over 55 and went in to get contacts for my daughters wedding. All of the staff performed their positions very well. I especially liked Dr. Varghese. He was professional and thorough without being rushed or pushy. I fell he took the time to explain some issues with me. Thank you. Also the young lady who checked me out was very helpful, sorry I dudnt get her name... (patient with me trying to get those contacts in and out) and also she was very knowledgeable. My insurance went through beautifully and she explained all my options. I would highly recommend this store.
Clerk, not an optometrist, was very rude., pushy, and had an upselling attitude. Kept trying to push the moat expensive package on me. Just wanted a pair of glasses for when I take out my contacts only, and she kept saying I needed all the high end stuff. Finally got to purchase glasses, but afterward she showed me the order, I asked for a copy of it. It had all the measurements on it and I wanted a copy for myself. She then informed me that she would have to black out certain measurements before she could give this to me. I explained that it was my medical record and was entitled to it, but she refused. So I asked for refund and cancelled order. Will NOT order anything from them. Went to Walmart, ordered glasses and got a copy of my measurements with no problem. Very pleasant person too!!
Really nice place nice people and i meet this lady named Josephine really nice and great service
Came in for an eye exam and originally did not want glasses the lady who helped me showed me some frames and I instantly fell in love with them. Cannot wait to come back next year and see their selection once again!
UPDATE: five starAfter my initial one star review, a district manager Christine tracked me down and called to ask what was wrong, after our discussion on what conspired at the store and with employees (most of whom were new) she had me come back in. HER SERVICE WAS EXEMPLARY. She even helped adjust my moms glasses (who was with my on vacay and her glasses didnt even come from this store.) Upon receipt of my second pair fixed, I was still bugged by the line of sight where bifocals turn into regular glasses. By this time, I had moved from the area of Sebring and had concerns about getting into the store in time before my 30days were up for exchange. I called the number I had, they sent an email to Christine and before I could complete my next task on my to do list, she called. I would have to say I am now a fan of Optical Outlets, and that if you are ever dissatisfied, please ask for the manager, or even the district manager, because she went above and beyond to sort me out. Im very thankful of this and appreciative of the time she spent on me as a customer. This woman is wicked good at her job!!FIRST REVIEW: one starMy first ever exam and glasses. Dr told me to get larger frames, the assistant talked me into one small and one large, even though I repeatedly said the Dr said I needed larger frames for lens to have bifocal for my needs, since I was getting them for the cheater reader part only anyways. They repeatedly said I have 30 days to return them, add no-lines, etc, so I paid. I picked them up and the bifocal part on small was SO tiny it practically does nothing. The lady who helped me and suggested the smaller frame NOW tells me that I cannot get a larger frame, even if the one she chose doesnt work for me AT ALL. I am disgusted with this company. I almost cancelled because before my appointment, one of the workers there called me and said she had a problem, I asked her whats up? She went on a long rampage about the Dr trying to get someone to buy glasses even though they didnt need them and blah blah blah, before she realized she was talking to a patient, not her manager she thought she called. This company gets you in. Upsells you like crazy, making you feel confident about your choices as a first time glasses-person, letting you know you have 30 days to come back if you dont like them, want to upgrade to progressive, etc. THEN WHEN YOU COME BACK, or even just pick them up, they tell you too bad. I would never refer anyone to this company, even if 2 glasses and exam were $25!!! They just want the money in their pocket and then go back on all their promises.
Got exam, got glasses. They were not right. Went back, got exam, got glasses. Still not right. I called to see what to do and never received a return phone call. Money wasted.
Worst experience with them always!
GREAT SERVICE !!!!
