Alternator went out coming down the canyon from Flagstaff and we were lucky to flag down a tow truck that happened to be passing by. Googled mechanics in the area and had the driver drop us and our car off here.They knew we were traveling and got us taken care of quickly. We were expecting an inflated price since they knew we were from out of town and didnt really have any other options, but that wasnt the case. Having a mechanical issue 750 miles from home is never fun, but they made it less stressful and charged the same as my local mechanic that I have a strong relationship with.

They checked over my car created a nifty maintence ck report, put in a new starter, ordered two new tires.I am very pleased with everything about my experience. They were kind, interested in my needs, professional, kept me informed of the work and the cost., and drove me home, when I left my car and picked me up when it was finished.

Traveling from Colorado, found myself loosing power steering on the highway near Sedona. Scary! I am thankful that random internet search suggested Red Rock Auto, because not only they took my car in right away for testing, detected the problem and estimated repair, but also put in extra effort to ensure we were safe and comfortable until the car was road worthy again. I like businesses like that, where associates are considerate and straightforward, where mechanics know their trade, and where the job gets done.Definitely recommend.

Very bad experience with them.we paid 500 dollars for nothing. They were not able to correct the problem. We brought it to them 3 times but the problem still was not corrected.Be careful.dont bring youy vehicle to them.

Overall, I am blown away by the level of service this business showed me. Michael, their Service Coordinator, was very curteous, professional, and just a helluva nice guy!My car had an AC problem and I showed up without an appointment. Michael fit me in with a minimal wait. They ran into an issue that at first neither of their ASE-certified techs could figure out. I showed up to pick up the car and Michael said no charge because they hadnt been able to figure out what was going on. Looking out the window,, I could see both of their techs still buried in the engine. They were still trying to figure it out! Just as I was about to leave the office, one of the techs came rushing in stating they figured it out! Rather than just saying no can do, have a good day, they were diligent and kept at it!I could not express more gratitude or appreciation for these gents. They do great work, are fair priced, and are a pleasure to work with! They do Sedona proud!

My auto was under full warranty, when all said and done they charged me over double for rebuilt alternator. MSRP (which is suggested retail) was 249.00 they charged me 449.00. They told me they knew its twice the cost but thats how they charge. I had to pay the difference of 200.00 dollars because my warranty company said the wouldnt cover over retail. Total rip off! They prey on tourist because they have few alternatives. My Warranty Co. suggested I go there because they were rated 5 stars. Dont go, 1 star rating is being generous.

Experienced engine issues about 17 miles outside of Sedona. Made it to Sedona and found Red Rock Auto Center through consulting AAA. Arrived to find facility closed (Sunday). However, found that the owner was in the office conducting accounting duties. After speaking to him, the cars issue was discovered and a plan worked out. Owners wife (Anna) drove us to a motel with all of our belongings. The part was ordered the next day and installed within an hour of its arrival a few days later. Part had to come from L.A. Facility kept us updated each day so that we could continue to make arrangements for lodging and vehicle rental while we waited for the parts to arrive. Vehicle was repaired perfectly and the owner even hand washed and dried the vehicle himself after dust had accumulated on the vehicle from its being parked in his dirt lot. Great service and super friendly people, one and all..

Fantastic service! I showed up in trouble on Saturday, day after Christmas. They were closed for service, like every other shop in town. The owner, Bill, was there, and took pity on us. He helped us get going back to Phoenix. We were in Sedona for 3 days celebrating the holiday. Our car was fully loaded, and in big trouble. Electrical problems, the car wouldnt go over 20 mph, and the check engine light was on. Even though closed, he took his time, and did the repair the right way. No rush job.This man was our guardian angel . If he hadnt helped us, I dont know what we would have done. Bill, we love you! Youve made a friend, and we will see you again. Hopefully we can take you and your wife out to dinner next time were up there.

So I brought my jeep to the shop because they had good reviews and ratings on Google but unfortunately after dealing with the little bro at the counter him telling me that if I drive my vehicle I was going to probably crash and die because it was so unsafe and I need a $10,000 worth of repairs I quickly came to the realization that one he had no clue what he was talking about and two they just really didn’t wanna deal with me which is fine but customer service and communication are very important when it comes to running any business so telling me my rear differential is bad and then finding out it was just a starter was kind of shocking and then to get the review were they said my starter was fine but the rest of my vehicle was basically worthless and I needed to repair it all was kind of shocking I don’t think I’ll ever come back to these guys sounds like the only one that knows what’s going on in that shop is the owner bill calm down little bro you’ll figure it out

Bought a Dodge from Carvana and had some immediate issues with oil leaks. Michael got on it quickly and sorted out the problems. Ordered parts and got my warranty people on the horn and was covered. Work seems to have been done just fine but the vehicle was not ready at the appointed time so after they had it for 3 days I had to wait another 45 minutes to install the side mirror which they were supposed to install the 1st day.

Red Rock has done two pre-purchase used vehicle inspections for me over the past two years. They give an extremely detailed comprehensive inspection that has been very useful in my purchase decisions. Their actual repair cost estimates were quite a bit higher than other mechanics but their service is very professional.

After the oil change i pulled out into rush hour traffic and my car died and would not restart. Very scary! Had to get towed and get ride. I wondered why they power washed the top of my engine esp. after telling me my distributor cap was cracked. They didnt admit to it and i watch then do it, confused, because i never had anyone power wash top of my engine after an oil change.

We brought my son’s car in for a diagnostic and some maintenance while he was visiting from Phoenix. I knew we would be taken great care of by your shop. All of your technicians are kind, professional and trust worthy. This was my second visit, the first time I had my car maintenance taken care of. It’s apparent that you all know what your doing, and do it well. There were a few of our local Sedona police cars in your bays. You know they’re not going to bring their cars just anywhere, they bring them to the best!

My toyota 4runner 2001 was left stranded in sedona arizona with a transmission leak issue and luckily it was towed to the right place . The car was replenished with more transmission fluid at its proper level and Michael and his team brought my truck back to life. Its been a couple days since It was serviced and the check engine light hasnt came back on. These guys got the confidence to tackle any issue your car may got and put you back on the road in no time . Thanks again ! I am now in Dallas texas with a gallon a of transmission fluid just in case it goes down again and dont worry they will show you how to do it yourself.

The staff at Red Rock were great when we experience truck problems on I 17. They gave us a ride to a local hotel and had us up and running by 10 am the next morning. Not only did Bill fit me in immediately but also finished the job before 230pm also he was very thorough in diagnosis and the explanation thereafter. I’m so grateful for the honesty. Now different people “run the show “ ( barely adults)where the owner told me my oil leak was not bad, a month later another mechanic told me it was leaking like a sieve. He told me not to drive and said it was the oil pan under my transmission. Went to another mechanic and it was actually barely a drip but looked as is someone put transmission fluid on the pan to dupe me ( a female customer) it actually was my shift solenoid which allows shifting into the higher gears. It lasted another 7 months and I needed to replace the part. If I had listened to red rock auto I would have paid 800 bucks for a drip pan I didn’t need. Get a second opinion if you get ANYONE other than the owner!!

Great service. Liked the pictures of the failed parts and the follow up after the work was completed. This was my first service done at Red Rock and I came away very satisfied and impressed with the quality of the work completed. A very thorough inspection of my Denali and follow up quotes via email kept me informed of my work requested and completed, no surprises! As a side note, my wife drove me to pick up the Denali in our Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep failed to start upon leaving. Bill quickly diagnosed our 6 year old battery failed and replaced it with an upgraded maintenance free battery and checking the electrical system and alternator. Quality work and follow up! My wife drives her Jeep running errands all over town and I shudder to think of this happening on one of her shopping trips. So I’ve got a story about the absolute most shady dangerous mechanic service I’ve ever experienced. I’m pretty knowledgeable about working on vehicles and only take my truck in if it’s a job I dont have the tools or equipment for. I have a 95 Tacoma and I needed new ball joints, steering rack, control arm, tie rods, etc. so I call them up and am quoted $5500 for basically a new front end. Which is fine, I drop the truck off and it’s taken care of. A few days after getting my truck back I load up my girlfriend and dog to go spend the day out at Apache maid. As I’m driving in I hit a small pothole and heard some grinding noise so I check out the newly done work and everything seemed fine but turned around as something just didn’t feel right. So I drive back to the I-17 which is 6-7 miles from where I was. As I was turning onto the on ramp the grinding started again and steering was impossible. I get out and look at everything again to find the tie rod on the right side was disconnected and dragging. If that hadn’t come off right when it did me, my girlfriend and my dog would probably be dead. So to me it’s clear they forgot to put the cotter pin on the bolt that connects the outer tie rod. I understand this is a simple mistake as I missed it as well. But as a professional mechanic I’d think that’s a pretty simple thing to check after a job like that. So I call them up and they tow it and take care of the issue at no cost to me. I was extremely understanding as I get that mistakes are made sometimes. Flash forward 7 months and I call up because I need an alignment done. Bill quoted me $90 I explain I’ve had work done and the issues I experienced afterward, bill says he’ll just take care of it, great I make an appointment for the for the following week and drop it off on that date. Well 2.5 days later it was finally done, 2.5 days for an hour job? What was the point of the appointment? I show up to pick it up and they say it’s going to be $120, so clearly I’m frustrated and definitely expressed that and told them what bill said. Come to find that he didn’t put that monumental cotter pin mistake in my work history, I wonder why? So they eventually drop the price to $65, cool I don’t expect free work but I do expect to pay what I’m quoted at least. I get in my truck to leave and noticed my seat was moved along with my subwoofer which needs to be set aside to move the seat. So I go to move it back a realized every single wire was ripped out of the sub in the process of moving it. Thanks guys! Anyway, I fix it really quick and go to leave. I noticed my AC wasn’t getting cold... I flip it on and off a few times and eventually heard the compressor clutch engage. So yesterday morning I go to run errands and the AC Isn’t working, I check the fuses and all the wiring and nothings wrong. I hook up my freon gauge and notice it’s completely empty, no pressure at all...not only that, but the cap for the discharge port was missing and the connection wiped clean... funny thing is, I checked my Freon pressure the week before I dropped my truck off and it was completely full. I recharged it this morning and there’s clearly no leaks in the system. So Put 2-2 together and make your own conclusion.I’m a local to Sedona and have given these people a lot of my money, time and patience. If this is how they treat locals or anybody for that matter they deserve to have any licensing they have taken away. They’re lucky I didn’t bring up a lawsuit against them. So in my opinion I wouldn’t bring an RC car to these people to work on.Update after your reply: you have the audacity to suggest I’m lying after everything you’ve done? My seat was ABSOLUTELY moved and the wires of my Were ABSOLUTELY ripped out by you. The cap for the high pressure port of my AC system wasn’t missing before I took it to you and the Freon was ABSOLUTELY full. You ABSOLUTELY almost killed me, blame it on who you want, it’s your business you need to over look major jobs. As far as the wait for the alignment I would have NEVER agreed to three days And $120. Take accountability

I called before I came in to see if they had the filters I needed in stock and to get a quote. They said they could get the one they didnt have there in under 10 minutes and the price was half of what I was quoted elsewhere. I arrived and they were so fast and friendly and have a cool outdoor lounge area. I definitely recommend this place and I will be returning for my oil changes regularly now. Five Star service plus! Everyone on Bills team was absolutely awesome when I brought my 97 Dodge Roadtrek in for brake repairs. The emphasis on service and training, customer relations and consideration of pricing... Everything went as well as could possibly be expected. Both front rotors got replaced along with a caliper, and the leaking water pump with swapped out as well, in addition to some regular maintenance. I came out early on a Monday and they hustled to at get me back in my van to sleep for the night. Then the remainder of the repairs got done the next day.Auto repair is not cheap, but Id rather pay Bill and his crew once, then have a backyard guy do it cheap twice! That said, the final bill was less than I expected. That and the nationwide repair insurance that guarantees their work...there are not enough stars!

Had to stop here to get a new radiator on a 3 week road trip, and we.were very happy. These guys are some of the best mechanics Ive met. Knowledgeable arena extremely friendly.. they even offered us some food and coffee. They got the parts in quickly and with reasonable prices. Very impressed with the staff and overall experience!

Red Rock Auto was super nice and professional! there’s no swindling or upselling- I do trust these guys that they have my best interest. They changed the oil on my Prius (they already knew the type it needed) without an appointment (granted I took my car in right when they opened at 8am), and completed the job in about 2 hours. They did a complimentary overall check, which informed me that I had some license-plates bulbs burned out, but since I still had one working, it wasn’t necessary to buy to bulbs just yet. Thank you!

If you have car troubles in the Flagstaff/Sedona area, these are the people you need. Towed to another place at 5 pm on a Fri. with a diesel Excursion - alternator failure. The 1st shop said they were closing; & couldnt even look at it until Mon. (We were on way to grandsons funeral; needed the car repaired so we could start home Mon.) Then, we were towed to another shop: Red Rock, where Bill stayed after hours to help us out. He agreed to obtain parts & work Sat. so we could leave AZ Mon. morning. (Even drove us to pick up a rental car so we could get to the funeral on schedule. They did the repair on Sat. (their day off) & we picked it up Mon. morning & headed to Okla. The work was performed correctly, using good parts and reasonable price. Highly recommend these folks. Bill is an experienced man and was willing to go the extra mile to help us at this trying time.

Bill, and the crew at Red Rock Auto & Cycle did a fantastic job. I stopped in to get two broken lug bolts fixed on my front tire. They did a diagnostics check, and found that my brakes, and rotors were down to about 5 percent. They got the parts, and did the repairs the day before we were heading back to Michigan. We were on a long road trip and the vehicle need work by the time we got here. These guys were excellent. Did what they said they would do quickly and at a reasonable price. I was very happy with the experience.

Needed help on a Saturday morning at 8am while visiting Sedona (a key slipped into the gap between the cover for the cupholder and fell inside the front console of my rental car). Stopped by at Red Rock Auto Center and these guys had my key out in a couple of minutes. The man who helped us very cheerful, friendly and did not even want to be paid for his effort.Saved me a lot of trouble and was a big relief. Thanks a ton!!

These guys really take good care of my vehicles. In addition to the repairs, they recently provided me with a detailed list of future issues to take care of, so I can be pro-active. I am happy I found Red Rock!

I was on vacation for Veterans Day and a brake caliper on my Jeep locked up. Nothing was open in town it was looking like I was going to have to wait until Monday. I swung by Red Rock auto and Cycle and the shop door was open I spoke with them and they agreed to fix me up and get me back on the road for my 600 mile drive home. The service is the best I have had from a mechanic in years especially being from out of town. The price was fair and the turn around time on the job was very fast. Great people!!

My motorcycle tire was punctured on the highway south of oak creek, and the towing company brought me here. What luck. Cheapest lodging in town (but still a nice place) and some great Mexican food all within walking distance. Derrick and his guys really went the extra mile to get us back on the road. They brought me a tire from cottonwood, got it installed, and even did some regular maintenance while they were at it. If youre going to get a flat tire, this is a pretty good place to get one. I cant give enough praise to these guys. Thank you!

We moved to Sedona 3 years ago with my Harleys. They needed fixing and I really didnt want to take them to Phoenix. I found Bills place one day. They fixed everything perfectly. And Bill went out of his way to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Completely above and beyond.I have since rented bikes from him for friends, taken cars in for checkups, and have all my motorcycle repair and maintenance done there. Best place I have ever gone to.Very honest and ethical and reasonable prices. I will go to Red Rock Auto and Cycle for everything.Unusually fine place

During our vacation in Sedona our vehicle failed and became undrivable. As it was 2 days before Christmas and our returning trip home scheduled for the following day, I was rather concerned. We were referred by our insurance to a shop, which was closed. We then cold called Red Rock who informed us they would be able to take care of our problem. And took care of our problem they did! They were able to repair our vehicle in under 2 hours. The staff was fantastic. And they also went beyond of what was required of them. I recommend them without reservation.

Passing through on a trip from CT. Had an issue with the fuel filter on my 93 Volvo 240. They diagnosed and fixed the issue including a road test in about an hour. The charge was more than fair. A real pleasure. Many thanks.

I didnt have the shop do any work, just diagnostics. Why the 5-star then?Because the owner (Bill) correctly identified issues that other shops (including Village Car Care) failed to do, even after charging me lots of money.
