After having our second child, my wife and I needed a bigger vehicle to fit all that comes along with having children. We looked online prior to visiting and were intent on purchasing used with a budget in mind. Upon arrival we were greeted by a member of the sales team, Jim R., and welcomed inside as my wife, 1 year old, and 3 week old baby were unloading out of our car. Jim kindly sat down with us and took our info, taking the time to answer questions we had right away and assured us that he and management would do what they can to work within our budget. During our stay multiple families walked in to the dealership and the sales team including Jim, made sure that the families were greeted all while still working on finding us a car. Jim found us the next step up from our current vehicle within budget and within the amount of miles we felt comfortable with. After a test drive, we were committed. It checked all of our boxes from budget, style, space, and overall feel. While the process was a bit lengthy due to applications, paperwork, and general business, Jim was calm, kind, and made sure that my wife and children were comfortable during our wait. We left with a new to us car feeling very confident in our purchase in regard to finances and happy with the vehicle Jim found for us. My Dad wanted to surprise my Mom for her 75th birthday with a VW convertible. This was a last minute swing for the fences idea. I reached out and got Jim Rauhut. He was honest and said the car just arrived and needed to be looked at by the mechanics team. He called back and said okay come on in tomorrow. He had it sitting there and we took it for a ride. We liked it but needed a minute to talk. No one was pushy and we left. Jim called a few hours later and said thanks for stopping in and that this car might not the one but he’d keep an eye out. This place is AWESOME! I came in for an oil change. They did the oil change and rotated my tires and did a multi point inspection. All in less than 45 minutes. Will definitely be back!

My salesman Jim and the other staff were very courteous. They listened to my situation and worked to help me. I have a very limited budget, they were very understanding and worked to get me a situation that worked. They also didn’t make me feel small for being on the poorer side. They explained things thoroughly so I would understand the finances. I also did not feel pressured to make a purchase. I had really disliked my previous car, but when someone showed interest while I was still there, Jim still asked how I would feel about telling them about the car. Since he knew there were some issues I had with it, I was impressed that this meant he really was very honest and willing to let customers hear the bad things about the car. Van horn also has a very nice warranty program and their oil changes for free while owning the car made for very good options to invest in when getting a new car. I would definitely return when I need another car, though because of the car I got and the nice warranty I expect that I will have a nice long time with the one I purchased first.

Absolutely horrible. Have had this vehicle less than a year and already have to replace the ENTIRE transmission. Not just a part, the whole thing. I take good care of my vehicles so this is upsetting.Financing is a joke too. Dont buy from this dealership unless youre okay with spending tons of money right away.

Jim is amazing! From the first point of contact (email) he was personable and wanted to know what I wanted. Then we had our first phone call. Not only was he going to call me if the truck sold before I got there he also made sure to let me know that there was back ups to look at as well. He was kind and comfortable to talk to and very honest. Carfax was all printed out and the truck was already pulled up and ready for us to look at. This was definitely my favorite time buying a vehicle ever! We were never pressured or asked to look at something we would never buy! Omg worst time ever been at this dealership for 9 hours for a 15 min service to be done plus the worker there was rude after I been sitting in there lobby fir again 9 hours he even threatened me saying he was going to call the cop on me for disorderly conduct because I was on the phone and he could hear me talk to someone about this place but everyone that came in after me was out the door within 1 hour or less I know it’s because I was the only black customer just sad. I was experiencing vehicle troubles in the area. I rolled into the service center with no appointment and the expectation that my car would stay there overnight. When the customer service representative said that he and the crew would get the job finished that same day I was very surprised. Especially given that they had to order the parts to do the work! They went above and beyond in terms of customer service, turn around time, and quality of work. The value was very good as well. Phenomenal service. No other way to say it. Matt and Scott should be very proud of the work that they do. I would reccomend that anyone with auto troubles to check them out.

Such a great experience! My friend Jordyn is the new receptionist and referred me to Jim. I was looking for a bigger, more durable vehicle, and he checked all the boxes for me, plus some. It was super quick and easy; I had a car picked out, test drove, and taken home in less than 3 hours. Alyssa in finance was also a ray of sunshine, so friendly and bubbly! I would have given 6 stars if possible. Our experience with Jim, Shane, the credit office people, etc. was absolutely unexcelled. They worked to get us the vehicle we wanted (vehicle engine problem was repaired/replaced at their expense)..the credit terms we needed..a lower payment per month (over the Camry we had)..and much more. Again, this was the finest car buying experience..by far that we have ever had..and Im 71. with a lot of vehicle experiences in my history. I told Jim..and my offer remains...that if he has any customers with any doubts as to Van Horns customer care, service, etc....that he can have them call me at any time. I will be enthusiastically telling all me friends, family, neighbors, etc..about a great dealership out there by the name of Van Horn..and Jim is the man to ask for.

This was a great experience buying a used car. Trevor was quick with replies and I was able to complete my test drive within a week. The vehicle had gotten to the lot recently so it hadnt been cleaned yet but drove great. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed, like minor fixes and an extra key. Purchasing was made easy with Peter who explained all the paperwork. Plus when I picked it up, the detailing job was fantastic! Definitely recommend this place!

I was already apprehensive of coming to look at a vehicle here, because of Van Horns reputation for selling vehicles that are lemons(buybacks). With supplies so low you gotta go where they are available though, and according to carfax this one should have a clean title. I made arrangements a day ahead of time to make sure the vehicle I wanted to look at was there. I had to have someone come pick me up because my current vehicle is having some issues. So, they drove a half hour to get me, to drive a half hour to the dealer. I get there and the vehicle isnt even functioning, it is missing a driveshaft. I couldnt even see it at all. What a joke.

This was our first time buying a used car from a dealership. We went here because they happened to have the car we were interested in and, ended up buying. Overall the experience was good with Katie. She worked with her manager to go down on the price a little which was a nice gesture. After finding an issue with the car from our mechanic they fixed it right away which was super! There were a couple of bumps that I would have liked to go a little smoother (some car details that weren’t mentioned and ended up finding ourselves, not filling the gas all the way but only half up after purchase, etc which is why I am not giving 5 stars). The music was a little too loud and rowdy for my taste but if I am in the market for a car again, I would look here too!

I had a wonderful overall experience buying my first car thanks to the team at Van Horn Sheboygan Mazda- and Katie for making everything possible!A few weeks ago I had made a trip out to their location from the Fox Valley to see a Kia Sportage they had listed. I called to ask about it when I was in the area- and Katie and Alyssa from the start were very friendly, considerate and helpful.Katie allowed me to test drive the car on my own and was open to questions- and let me know that the AC was getting fixed that week.I wanted to consult with my fiance before buying and wanted to have him come see the car as well- but it was very tough to schedule in with our work hours and sharing one car at the time! Despite this complication, Katie kept me updated on when the AC of the Kia was fixed, checked in with me to let me know it was still available for the next couple weeks(a reasonable amount and not excessively)- and even when we were finally able to agree upon buying the car she made sure that we could get the paper work squared away swiftly and that we could pick up the car the following day and pay in full a bit after they closed ! Grateful that they kept their doors open past sales/office hours on the Wednesday we purchased the car!(they are open on Thursdays until 8 pm to help accommodate others with later day schedules!).I am thankful that everyone was very responsive- and for Katie also being the only car salesperson I have ever dealt with that actually listened to my request of TEXTING me rather than calling. :)I love my car and look forward to dealing with Van Horn moving forward - with my free oil changes for life etc! I always like to support family started businesses- and I standby the integrity and reasonability of this business.My only complaint is that their policy for filling up the gas in the car before selling it should be half a tank to full tank- rather than a quarter of a tank. Overall though, my experience was awesome!

I gave Alyssa and Katie a list of what I was looking for in a new car and they found me a ton of great options to test drive. I was messaging them all week preparing for this, and they have very quick and informative responses. The nice thing is, about Van Horn is they have so many dealerships in WI of all kinds so it really didnt matter if I wanted to compare brands, it was easy-peasy! Everything went so quick and painless!I got an excellent deal on my trade in, and found the perfect vehicle for me, same day! I liked a lot of the vehicles they found for me, but on a whim, Katie had asked if I was interested in 2020 Ford Escape. I said, lets check it out, and from the moment I stepped into it, I knew this was my car!!! I really loved the quick service that Katie and everyone else there had. Katie had a great attitude and made everything quick and sweet. She was able to let me take the care overnight to test drive and then had all the paperwork done for me to sign before I came in.
