Really nice gem of a Deli. Reminds me of the fun city Delis around bigger cities. Nice decor, atmosphere if you want to wind down with some comfort food. Fair price, fresh ingredients, lots of customization options for your order. Havent been disappointed by any of the shakes either. Just take note of the closing hour.
Best place to come for coffee, bite to eat, or a sweet treat! Staff is very nice, coffee is very good! Always clean & friendly! I come from out of town, but always make a point to come in at least a few times while I’m in Sioux City! A true gem!
Great local shop with vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free options for food and drink. And always a great selection of food!
Such a nice local spot. Great coffee
The food was really yummy and I cant wait to go in the morning to be able to try their coffee
Delicious menu ... breakfast and lunch food items plus a variety of beverages hot and cold.
Truly a hidden gem in Sioux City! If you want a cozy, unique place with good coffee, this is the place!
Best sandwiches in Sioux City! Love this coffee shop!
Really good coffee and staff that treat you well. You cant ask for much more!
Cozy local area eatery. I enjoyed an bagel egg sandwich and chai latte with my stepson here today. Next time I may have to enjoy a piece of cake. Everyone was very nice.
Everytime i go in they know my order as well as my Dads. And it tastes the same everytime. The staff are fun and wonderful.
Doesn’t get any better than this. Accommodating from coffee to food to Internet plus set up for virus safety. Such a great place and staff!!!
As always, got what we wanted and were able to eat and get out within 25 mins before church. Absolutely love their scones and smoothies.
How did I not know this gem was here?Despite the construction, Pierce Street Coffee Works is open for business and has delicious smoothies, sandwiches, and (of course) coffee. They do have both indoor and outdoor seating and are currently following state guidelines on capacity. They requested that dine-in groups limit themselves to thirty minutes or less to allow other customers a chance to enjoy the atmosphere.Currently, I cannot recommend the outdoor seating experience as the road is torn up with current construction. However, the area as a whole is nice and includes several small businesses, which makes it a nice place to stop and enjoy a coffee outside when the road is complete. This is a small local business, pulling through and delivering excellent service and food despite the pandemic and construction.
I loved the shop at Coffee Works: homey, friendly, eclectic, local events posted! Everyone was very friendly. The coffee left a bit to be desired: the auto drip was weak-tasting and uninteresting (I like my coffee strength ratio on the weaker side at 1:20, so weak for me is either less than that or a roasting defect) and the espresso was over-extracted. I liked the flavor of the espresso enough, with the characteristic sweet/sour that comes from a long pull off a slightly-too-light roast.I also witnessed a sandwich get delivered to the wrong table with no correction until the patron lacking his sandwich inquired. It was made freshly and immediately, which in my book is really great!Overall worth a stop, and if the roasting source changes it could be really exquisite coffee and food someday.
Excellent coffee and sandwich joint. Hip bohemian vibe. Sandwiches are awesome. Many different options to create your own killer combination or you can pick one of their specialty sandwiches. Really nice place.
Great coffee and food is excellent.
Stopped in today and ordered a flat white, probably the best I’ve ever had and I’ll definitely be coming back. Super cute inside too!
Ordered the hamwich, got some sort of scrambled egg thing. Not happy with my lunch, I dont even like scrambled eggs.
So many selections of coffee drinks & great staff!
Best Sandwiches in town! Best Coffee in town! If anything we all need more Coffee Works in our lives.
Very good coffee, espresso, and bagel sandwiches
Great Coffee at reasonable price in a friendly, neighborly atmosphere. I will continue to frequent this establishment.
Try the Nutty Bird sandwich- Yum!They offer a terrific menu, with a variety of options to meet the desires of everyone. Their staff is very nice, & the overall atmosphere is really chill & relaxed with beautiful art pieces all around. Its a nice place to grab a quick lunch if youre on the go.
Great coffee and atmosphere!
This place always has good fresh food! Tomato bisque red pepper soup is excellent! Nice ecclectic setting. Always clean. Unfortunately the city has torn up the street in front of their place for 2nd year in a row! Its not tough to get to, and well worth the trip!
Good variety food, coffee, and other drinks. The personnel are friendly. Coffee Works has a fun interior.
I enjoyed the coffee shop with my father in law while passing through to minnesota. The only downfall was that the chocolate chip cookie wasnt very tasty. My father in law had a chocolate scone that he enjoyed. The coffee however, was on point and i really enjoyed the creative names they had for their specialty coffees. If you are looking to get away from Starbucks or scooters I suggest giving this place a try!
I havent been here for quite a few years and used to be my favorite place. My sandwich was on dried out bread, one thin slice mushroom, one thin slice onion, one thin and transparent slice tomato and meat - everything at center with an inch of empty bread to the crust. Very strange my drink came out and all patrons around me served including my friend before I received my sandwich and soup but I wasnt last in line. Not motivated to go back - I make the sandwich better at home now and its very flavorful and pretty to serve just like it used to be on Pierce Street.
My favorite coffee shop in town. The bulletproof coffee & sandwiches /soups and deserts are the greatest I’ve ever had. Love the atmosphere & owner also. Feels so warm and cozy. Our family loves it here. My daughters and I have tradition lunches with our favorite red pepper Gouda soup & grilled cheese panini sandwiches and it warms our hearts. Highly recommend.
Really good food for sure. Nice place to meet with friends.... or foes. Enjoy the atmosphere. The photos on the wall are beautiful. And the people who work here are always so kind. 13/10 would recommend.
My friends and I usually really enjoy this place. Good coffee, good baked goods and a fun atmosphere. However, this morning, one of the employees was pretty rude. She made one of our coffees wrong and rolled her eyes when we said something about it. The thing about the service industry, is that its all about the service. Theres lots of coffee shops in town
Super cute with excellent service
I really do love coming here. The atmosphere is so charming and quaint. It can get very busy early in the morning but its well worth it. The prices are really good. The workers are great. The owner is the just the best! Ive been coming here for a long time. I would recommend anyone to come here and try it out. Support your local mom-n-pop store and all those big chain stores. When you shop there, the money pays for dance or karate lessons. It pays for so many other things. It keeps our locals in our town.
Great coffee and great people, love the style of the place. My morning commute wouldnt be complete without a stop here first.
I have been coming here for the best coffee since high school in the 90’s. Very friendly staff and seriously great baristas.
Great food, great coffee, great people!
What a great local coffee shop! Welcoming friendly atmosphere, tons of coffee choices along with baked goods, pastries, soups, sandwiches, sodas and all kinds of stuff. They have a bookshelf full of novels to borrow, and some kids books as well. Love the art on the walls. And they have outdoor seating as well. My favorite place to get coffee in Sioux City.
Love the people, service is superb and can get drinks and food I can get no where else in town. The ambience is uplifting. Parking easy most days.
I went to college in Los Angeles area, and in the LA area there are coffee shops on every street corner. I loved visiting the non-chain coffee shops, so when I moved back home I wanted to have a place like in LA that I could visit. Coffee Works is a great place to study, work on homework, catch up with friends, read a book, or just relax. It is not your Starbucks or Caribou Coffee shop, which is what makes it unique to little Sioux City. The prices are cheaper than the chain restaurants, and the drinks/food are WAY better. The menu has a variety of options, including coffee, tea, sandwiches, pastries and more. Coffee Works is where I go when I am nostalgic of being in LA and just want a good cup of coffee.
Worked here for quite a few years, and it was one of the best jobs and experienced Ive had the privilege of doing. The food is great and fresh made with a healthier conscience in mind. The coffee and espresso are roasted in town and are some of the best The area has to offer. The employees are trained on how to use the machines and how coffee is supposed to be really made. The fact its been alive and well for 20 some odd years, I believe, is a testament to its much talked about excellence, especially in a town where things go away just as quickly as they go up. Its got a mystique about it as well, when you walk in you absolutely feel like youve been transported to a different part of the world, seeing as a lot of the decorations, art, and photographs on the walls are from the owners own personal travels and experiences. Theres alot of character in this place, and theres much more to be had. One thing I think really sets this place apart is the owner himself is on the front lines almost every single day and is one of the nicest people Ive ever met. He never hesitates to stop and answer a questions or just have a good talk with anyone. People like him are why things like this survive.
I love this neighborhood coffee shop. The food is good and the coffee is great! Walking distance from my home means my dog comes too and we enjoy the outdoor seating. The staff is great!
Great coffee and food. I loved the atmosphere it felt so cozy while I was here. Id highly recommend checking this place out if youre looking for a nice place to get coffee.
I travel the country with my wife and this has by far been at the top of our favorite coffee shops. The girls in there are very polite and friendly and this place actually makes excellent bulletproof coffee and theres gluten free sandwich options. My favorite sandwich is their Manhatten. I look forward to coming back soon!
I absolutely love Coffee Works. Theyve carved a niche in Sioux City. They offer great soups and sandwiches. The atmosphere is quaint and warm. Oh, and lets not forget the coffee.... Their house is my favorite. Guatemalan Peace Coffee. Shade grown, fair trade, and always freshly brewed. Just like all great local places, youll end up getting cravings for the food.
Most enjoyable coffee and wonderful sandwiches!
Food is very good, staff is helpful and can answer questions about their food and coffee. Only downside is food can take a bit to make for to go orders, but its made fresh, so that makes up for it. Highly recommended!
Always excellent. Never disapointed.
Great coffee and surprisingly good sandwiches close to downtown. A convenient place if you are only passing through or if you plan to hang out for a while. Get a feel for Sioux City and a nice cup of coffee at the same time.
Had a last minute Graduation Party there. Ron the owner was so very pleasant. Made it possible for us to set up and have a party after closing that day. Made a barista available to the party. Definitely recommend for coffee and parties. Thank you to all employees at the coffee works shop for making our Graduation Party a day to remember. We owe you one.
Absolutely wonderful!
Great service, food, coffeeEmployees wearing masks
1st time visitor here. The aroma was awesome, and the sandwich I ordered was great. Was able to sit outside and talk with a friend and chit chat.
This little hole in the wall is affordable and unique. There are so many options for lunch besides their caffeinated beverages. I love it!
Great coffee delicious wraps home warming vibe I would recommend
Great sandwiches and overall vibe!
Found this jewel of a coffee shop. Good service, good coffee, they serve food. Ill be here more often.
Love the staff! The food and coffee is amazing! Craving the nutty bird sandwich right now!
Awesome staff, the people who work here alone make it a place worth visiting. The amazing coffee is just an added bonus 😉
Great salad and sandwiches.
Above par staff! Always kind, easy going and make you feel special every time come. Best sandwitches and coldbrew in town. Charmeningly beautiful venue, a free little library and even have a chess bord, crayons and coloring books free to use. I take my kids here for lunch on the regular. We play games as we eat and always feel welcome to stay as long as we want.
Great coffee, sandwiches in a locally owned shop. Intimate meeting place, artwork displayed for purchased by featured artists. Sioux Citys finest local coffee shop
GREAT COFFEE GREAT FOOD GREAT WORKERS GREAT ATMOSPHERE GREAT CUSTOMERS ITS THE BEST
AMAZING coffee and service ! Definitely recommend the matcha latte !
Excellent service, food and coffee. Friendly and courteous staff. Our go-to restaurant.
Probably the only Coffee Shop in the city where you can sit down, enjoy the atmosphere, and the joe. Really good variety with interesting names and the owner is a Saint...at the least hes been beatified.
What a wonderful little place tucked away. Their coffee is the bomb too!
Homemade soup and great grilled cheese sandwich.
Nice atmosphere, it is inviting. They provide WiFi. It is locally run which makes it nice to support local businesses. It is a little higher priced choice. The coffee taste is not consistent the baristas make the drinks differently. With this being a coffee shop the coffee and lattes should be great every time and they are not!!!
Sioux city’s oldest coffee shop. It’s the best place to experience Sioux city’s local coffee scene.
Great local coffee shop with unique sandwiches, salads, and soups
Loved the red pepper w/smoked gouda soup! Always have to get my favorite sandwich the Nutty Bird!
Been going there for close to 20 years, great ownership and friendly employees. Prices and quality are competitive with the big brands.
Very good. Everything I wanted in a healthy lunch. Good vibe in the place. Friendly folks.
Very crowded so must be popular in the neighborhood. I found the person that waited on me a little rude. Apparently they were unusually busy or shorthanded because staff in the back seemed pretty stressed out. Chaotic. The Chai tea I ordered was unimpressive. I wont bother going again.
A friend of mine introduced me to Pierce Street Coffee Works and I am now a regular on the weekends. They have great coffee and the atmosphere is wonderful. I love it!
Neat store. Has a fun vibe.
We just moved here from Oregon. Finding a great neighborhood coffeehouse was at the top of our to-do list. Coffee Works is just about perfect: Great coffee, great sandwiches and soups, and a quirky, friendly atmosphere. Well be regulars.
Best coffee in town, charming atmosphere, excellent food and run by a solo proprietor so youre supporting a family, not a chain shop. Drinking coffee in SUX for 30 years and its the only place Ill go.
Love this place, good food, awesome employees, the owner is super nice and very hands on
Make your own sandwich! Request it to be grilled like a panini
Staff is nice, coffe and food are always good. Nice quiet spot to chat and hangout
Ron and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are delicious!
Great coffee
Nice little place, best coffe o have had in a long time.
Green tea was great
Comfortable atmosphere, great coffee and food (try the Italian wedding cake or the chicken curry sandwich), friendly staff.
Fantastic cake, great sandwiches, and they’re pretty quick. Love the quirky decor.
OMG! Delicious and fresh!!! I had one of their signature coffees, the Drew, and it was on point. We ordered a Breakfast Seggwhich, Gouda Red Pepper Soup, a half sandwich, Korean Super Salad and a slice of Rasberry Velvet Cake. I would order any of them again. Next time Im in Sioux City its a must stop!
Nice coffee and atmosphere. Eclectic deco.
This place rocks! Honestly, the food is good, the place is very unique and well put. I recommend it a lot to my friends.
We enjoy coming in for a begwich and a cup of joe, always a good spot.
Super great coffee, and had eco- friendly options!!
Ron and his staff are always ready to serve up a fantastic double espresso!! And I love the raspberry scone.
Amazing food and kind staff
