Trusting someone with your computer is scary. I called many places before selecting uBreakiFix. Most places said it was not worth fixing because it was 5 years old but not them. They took walk-in appointments and made me feel comfortable from the first phone call. I was in desperate need of help getting my school computer fixed because I had an assignment due that day. I literally brought it to them in parts as I tried to DIY myself. They were very professional. Got me in right away and got it fixed faster than I ever could have imagined. Will never go anywhere else again!!!

I took my phone in to replace broken screen (pixle 4a). Fast service, but noticed the screen wasnt quite aligned with where it should have fit inside the frame. The screen had a 1mm gap at the top from the frame and bottom of the screen wasnt in but on the frame. I kindly pointed this out and the guy who was helping me out was not happy to hear that and said it looks fine to me and you paying regardless. I said I will pay but I want it to be done right. I gave him the phone back and said take a closer look, I can fit my nail in the gap on top and the bottom definitely doesnt sit right. He said oh its because your corner is busted. I said the corner is scratched but not deformed and there is room for the screen to go up, he had nothing to say and took the phone back. I waited approx 5-7 minutes and he comes back out and hands me the phone. As we looking at the phone and the screen is properly align now with a little adhesive squeezing out. I said see looks better now, then he said do you want me to go clean the adhesive, at that point a had enough I said no Ill do it myself just ring me out. He rings me out for $212 which is what I was quoted for, I asked if he can give me any discount, he laughed at me later saying a discount what for? I said you dont have to be rude just say no, $212 is best we can do. I paid and left.I still think the screen was not installed properly because when I press on it lightly at the lower corner it will sunk and go back up slightly, maybe its the type of adhesive they use.I do not recommended uBreakiFix service (Sioux Falls branch)-poor customer service-cant trust their technicians-uBreakiFix cant be trusted as certified repair service for Google

Upon the arrive of my appointment time there was a sign in the door that said, “be back in 30 min.” I ran some errands and returned 30 minutes later to a new sign again stating, “be back in 30 min.” I stood around outside their door and waiting for 30 more minutes as not to miss them for a second time. Once someone unlocked the door was informed upon arrival that I used the wrong location to set the appointment as they are a chain with many other stores. I did not have any of the paperwork on me at the time to confirm. I had to return home that evening and confirmed I had the correct location address and appointment time. I set a new appointment for the following morning and printed off all the paperwork to take with me. I brought in the phone and paperwork the following morning. The store hours stated they open at 9am and my appointment was also set for 9am, but no one was there to let me in until 5 after. I gave them my phone and all the paperwork and confirm everything was good. I was quoted $139.99 and have this documented in the paperwork and multiple emails from uBreakiFix. They were not able to get to my phone until later that morning regardless of the appointment. They called back over the lunch hour to inform me that my phone was ready, and the total was $200 plus tax. I asked if there were additional issues found or additional work done that change the price. Once again, they informed, the $140 was for another location as they were a chain, but I confirmed on the appointment with the price they exact address. They asked if they wanted me to have them remove the screen and put the broken on back into it. Through my questions and discussions, they hung up on my 3 times and I had to call them back and talk to new individuals each one telling me they were the manager in change. They advised they hung up because it do not seem like I was willing to pay their prices. I ask them to leave the new screen in place until they heard from me while I called around to discuss options. I was unable to find another Google Certified Service Center in the area and no other screen repair stores had the correct screen in stock to fix that same day. I returned to the store that afternoon as I had no other option, but they had changed the screen back to the cracked screen regardless of my request. They said it would take an hour to switch back, and as I wanted to be done with this ordeal (and no longer trusted them), I told them I would wait until it was complete. It only ended up taking them about 15 minutes to complete, but in those 15 minutes I witnessed 5 other individuals come into the store for repairs. 3 of the 5 were all disgruntled and upset with this the store in some way. I watched as the induvial working did nothing to help or resolve the issues and the customers leave angerly. I paid the full $200 regardless of the quoted amount and have now had issues with the screen flickering and not being able to zoom in and out with a pinch touch motion. I assume I will be ordering a new phone or finding another location to correct the work uBreakiFix did on my phone.UPDATE - 3 WEEKS LATER - Per the follow up response to this review I have called their support team. I have sat on hold for well over an hour each time before speaking to someone. The first call consistent of filing a complaint in which I found out the store that replaced the screen lied on their paperwork about the condition of my phone, and I was informed they would get back to me within the week with a resolution. I called this number again well into the following week and was informed this time a manager would call me with in the same day. It has now been over another week with no follow up. I called again today over my work break and sat on hold for over an hour and a half before I had to hang up to attend a meeting. With the calls that I have gotten through and the calls to which I have sat on hold for too long before having to hang up I have spent over 6 hours on hold.

They said they had my phone screen in stock and I live out of town. By the time I got there it was no longer in stock and needed to be ordered. Now 3 weeks later still no screen as the ones that have came in are getting handed out to other people despite my request for one. I guess I will hopefully get one elsewhere as apparently my phone is too new and no one else is able to repair it. At least the other places have been truthful and have not wasted my time and patience like this place. I Do Not Recommend this place. If you cant fix my phone, tell me, dont waste my time!!

Do not bring your Nintendo here. I brought my Switch in to get the charging port replaced. They called me a week later and said they couldn’t do anything. Just sent it off to another place and they found that this placed tried and failed. Internal parts are missing, they failed to solder the new port correctly and blew the battery chip. The repair guy said it’s not the first one they’ve seen like this from uBreakiFix. The photo attached shows how they left my Switch.

What a poor experience. I made an appointment for 4pm. Guy acted like he had no idea who I was. Then just looked at my phone in my hand and said we have no iphone 11s. I wasnt even there for a cracked screen, I was there for diagnostic but he had no time to listen to my concern. Asked me if I had tried to turn the phone on and off. Seriously! I was not impressed. He helped in NO WAY! Would not recommend to anyone!

Google suggested I drop my Pixel 4 XL off at ubreakifix for warranty on the charging port. Ubreakifix said it wasnt covered under warranty, told them to fix the port anyways. Turns out they were not able to fix it, husband stopped back by to pick phone up, he drove straight home and handed me my phone. The screen wasnt responding, called ubreakifix immediately, 30 minutes after picking the phone up. The employee there said to me that the screen was working when it left the store. I asked him if he showed my husband that it was working, he said no and that was not his responsibility. I told him I would be dropping my phone back off in the morning to get the screen fixed. Showed up at ubreakifix in Sioux Falls, SD at 8:59am, their store hours listed on the window are 9:00-7:00, online shows hours are 9:00-7:00 and their customer service number that I called, also stated that this stores hours are 9:00-7:00. I waited outside the store for 35 minutes along with several other people before I left. Called the store at 10:00am, the employee answered, I said I was standing outside their door for 35 minutes along with 6 other people, the employee called me a liar and said he had already checked the security footage. Drove back over to the store (I live out of town) argued with the employee that my phone was working when I dropped it off and I expect it to be working when I pick it up. The employee tried to tell me that my phone is old and he will see what he can do. My phone is in mint condition, nothing wrong with it except for the charging port that doesnt work. I finally received a text back from ubreakifix saying it was ready to be picked up. I drove in and arrived at the store at 5:40pm on Saturday, store hours say they are open until 7:00pm, the doors were locked. Im debating on purchasing another google phone at this time, if this is the ONLY place that will work on google phones under warranty. GOOGLE do your job and research the place you are sending your customers to!!! What a waste of my time, I never want to step foot in that place again. I was forced to give this store a 1 star rating, it doesnt deserve a 1 star rating.

So I brought my Xbox one X in on September 2nd, and they said they’d call me sometime the following week, but never did. I had to call them just to say, “it depends on how many people come in,” just to take a look at my Xbox one and It’s been a total of two weeks and I still haven’t heard from them! Dropped off my ps5 to fix the hdmi port, but they said they didnt have the people to microsotter but said they replaced it twice,, but u need to microsotter to fix an hdmi port. All they did was tear off my void warranty so u wouldnt be able to return it to Sony to get a new one, and when I picked it up it smelled like garbage, and they didnt even touch the hdmi port

I will not go back. I brought my laptop in with a broken power port. Took them 2 days to tell me that they couldnt fix it. I came to pick it up on a friday, and they were already closed. Sign on door said they close at 6pm, while their website and google say 7. Also closed sat, so i had to wait until monday to get it. Also, while waiting for them to diagnose, they never called me when they said they would. Will not go back.

Quick fix for Pixel 4XL dead battery.

Told us it would be done in an hour. Then when we dropped by again they said they would call us. They never did so, we had to call back 3 times and then pick it up the next morning. If this hadnt been the only place in south dakota that would honor warranty for the phone, i 1000% guarantee we wouldnt have gone here. next time we will just send it somewhere else regardless. Having a Pixel 2 with a rear camera that didnt work. Had Google Fi do everything they had at their disposal and they could not fix it. Was directed to uBreakiFix via a Pixel forum. The diagnosed the issue and replaced the camera. Done in a very timely manner. I was without my phone for just a few hours. $110 vs buying a new Pixel 4a $349. Well worth it. Im very happy.

They ordered the wrong parts and then didnt call to tell me until I called to check the status a day after it was to be fixed. Then hung up when I was upset they didnt tell me. They said they would mail my phone back and it would take 5 days. It only took 5 days because they didnt send it until the following week and then put 1 day shipping on it. My phone was in way better condition when I dropped it off than when I got it back after not waiting over 2 weeks for them to fix it. It looks like someone took a knife to my screen as all the new cracks are perfectly straight.

Brought a PS4 here for a disc drive problem. Dropped it off on a Friday afternoon, didnt hear a peep from the store until I came back the following Thursday. I asked if anything had been checked yet. From what I heard out of the back, they hadnt tried anything until that moment. Less than a minute later, they brought it out saying that they couldnt fix it. I wasnt charged anything at least, although it was an entire week of time lost for me. Maybe they do better with phones, but dont bring your consoles here.

I had my camera lens break recently and took it in to be repaired, they had a new back with lens and was able to do the repair in just a couple hrs which was nice its my business line.Update.. Nov 2020Took my phone in for the same exact problem in less than a month. The repair was exactly the same but was charged $20 more.. The explanation for the employee is they must have charged me last last time? The service was still good and time frame in which I got my phone back was still good, I just question pricing.

This store has been amazing ... first Skylar came to my home to replace my grandson’s screen - he was so pleasant and happy; along with knowing exactly what needed to be done! If you have an iPhone save your money and take it to Mac pros. I broke my screen after my phone fell out of my lap and I shut it in my car door as I was closing it. I took my iPhone 11 here and had the screen replaced. After picking it up after the repair I noticed the ear piece filter was missing and had to make another trip back to have them replace it. I tried to put a screen protector on but the screen wouldn’t work with it on and would not pick up my touch. I noticed I was having to restart my phone frequently due to the screen not picking up on my touch as well.A few weeks after replacement I dropped my phone a short distance and the screen became discolored. I called the store to see about bringing it in and getting it fixed under the 90 day warrant. They tried to look up my name and could find any record of my phone being fixed there! They asked me to find some form of proof they fixed it but I didn’t have a receipt and had cleared my emails. After a frustrating conversation they finally looked up my number and found my phone. They told me to bring it in and they would take a look. I took it in to see if they could replace the screen and they asked what happened and I explained. To me a phone screen should be able to withstand a short distance drop with a phone case on but they said this was not covered and it would be like rewarding me for breaking my phone.I took it to Mac pros and right away they noticed a few screws were missing from my phone. I still wonder if this is why the phone screen broke or if the screen was poor quality. The screen was so poorly repaired they had to send my phone into Apple to get fixed. The cost was the same at each place but I could tell a big different in customer service. Save your money and take it to an Apple certified store. Mac pros also offered a replacement phone while mine was getting fixed at no cost.

I called about a screen repair right when they opened. I was told they were out of my size screen, but the shipment would be arriving at 3pm and to drop it off shortly after and they will have it done within an hour. I call back at 3pm and ask if they received the order, and I was told they had and I can go ahead and bring it in. I drop my phone off at 3:15 and they do an overall check up of the phone to make sure everything is working on it other then the cracked screen. Everything was working great so I left and was told I would get a call when they were done. At 5:15 PM I get a call telling me they didn’t receive the screens in the shipment and that they are unable to fix my phone. I was very frustrated that I waited all day for them, was told they had received the order and then wait even longer to find out that they were not able to fix the screen. After picking up my phone I called around to a few other places batteries plus was able to fix my phone without a wait and it only took 30 mins. They also did a complete check of the phone to make sure it was working and my camera wouldn’t work. It was when I dropped it off at uBreakiFix. Batteries plus noticed there was a piece of plastic sticking out behind my screen that indicated it had been opened. They took a look and sure enough uBreakiFix had removed the screen and disconnected the camera in the process. So thankful that batteries plus was able to fix my phone sooner, quicker, and cheaper and fixed the issue that uBreakiFix caused with no additional charge!

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS I WOULD!! I had been to ubreakifix two other times before this horrible experience and they have done alright job! Called the place up to ask how much it would be to replace my screen they look me up since I was a returning customer and gave me the price to replace my phone screen. When I got their I paid the amount he told me over the phone. I told him my boyfriend would be on his way pick the phone when it was done. My boyfriend called me and said I had to still paid over hundred dollars because the worker on the phone told me the wrong price for the screen! So I called the store up, I’m pretty sure I was talking to the manger and he was completely rude to me and told me I had to pay for their employee fault and the best they could do was yell at him or fire their employees. I told him that it wasn’t necessary that I just wanted some type discount he said the best he could do was $20 off! At one point in the phone call he told me that he would put my old screen on and refund me and I could take somewhere else. The workers here are so rude and do not care about their customer at all. It is disgusting, that the guy was that rude over phone to me to make me cry!! PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!

Got a phone screen replacement through Verizon and was instructed to come here. Walk in and the guy comes to the counter looking bored and has an attitude like me coming in was the worst thing ever. He asks what I need and I show him the email telling me to bring my phone in to be fixed. The email said they would need UP TO two hours to fix it, so I showed up at 5 (they close at 7) to make sure I had enough time. He takes my phone and goes to the back to check if they have the screen. Shortly he returns stating they have the screen but tells me he CANNOT fix it tonight because it would take up to THREE hours to fix and there were already phones ahead of mine and to come back later since my claim was good for a week (I had filed that day) And then he stares at me. Nothing more to add. I wait a second and just say ok and leave. No offering of an appointment. No advice for good times to come back. And certainly not just helping anyways because oh God that would be too hard. This guy screamed laziness. And since this is the only authorized repair shop in town I have no choice but to just try again later and probably have more of my time wasted. I took off work for this and now will have to again. Horrible experience.

We live in Rapid City SD. We had previously used UBreakIFix of Denver a few years back. So when local businesses referred us to Apple repairs I was remembering this company. But I was so pleasantly surprised to see a Sioux Falls franchise. And as before they were great. Their willingness and ability to mail device and communicate via text was phenomenal. The whole process was seamless and extremely fast. The price was even better even including with my UPS shipping. I could go on and on.

Guys on the phone & in store were knowledgeable, they diagnosis your issue for FREE. They said itd take 2 1/2 hours & was done in maybe 1 1/2?? Friendly & easily explained my screen was bad, needed new one & was indeed still covered by my phones warranty so no charge!! Plus, I didnt realize they fix it all - so Im bringing my messed up laptop in first chance I get. No appointment needed, which I love!

They were very honest at this shop. I had taken my iPad here with what I thought was a cracked screen, but they showed me that it was instead just a cracked screen protector and didnt charge me. They could have taken advantage of the situation but were instead very honest and helpful.

Im writing this review for my friend working as Physician in Avera ICU actively treating COVID patients.On Apr 28, he made online appt under Samsung first responders program phone screen repair. Since May 1, until today, the employees just gave different reasons for not fixing screen. At one point Mr. Tray informed that theres a screen available, but not willing to repair and informed first responders program repair is just luck in a draw due Samsungs policy for insurance claims. If thats the case, why would Samsung even have such a program. Does it take 11 days to get phone service and require constant follow-up?Finally, ysdy, my physician friend left phone in the shop, so that work order can be made to reserve a screen. Im not sure when will my friend get the phone fixed nor will it be returned in working condition. Never expected such a bad customer service, and attitude shown to my friend, who is putting his life on the line for servicing community.

Took my backwards compatible PS3 in to get repaired, as it was showing the yellow light of death. Was told it would take several weeks before they could get to it. This was after they tried to convince me to just buy a replacement. A couple weeks later I get a text message saying they are going to recycle my device. After calling them they claimed they left multiple messages about not being able to repair it. I got no texts, no emails, no phone calls, no voicemails. They claimed they had done everything possible to fix it. After picking up my device I took it home and tried to remove the game. I opened the console up and it became IMMEDIATELY apparent that they had not even opened the console up, which is absolutely necessary to correct the yellow light of death. Tamper seal was not broken and the dust inside the console was completely undisturbed. Not only I never seek their services, I will be sure to recommend my friends and family avoid them as well.

I stopped in this past Sunday with a charging issue with my IPhoneX (it would not charge). I expressed to the gentleman at the counter that I wondered if the power port had gone bad. He said that he would be happy to bring it in the back and take a look at it. He came back a couple minutes later, plugged it in, and started charging right away. He said that the port was dirty. I asked him what I owed him, and he said “nothing at all, happy to help”. I know that this repair was not labor-intensive, but you can guess where I’ll go next time I need a repair! 5 stars in my book!

They are a little vague over the phone when it came to my situation of replacing my screen for my laptop. Once I got to the store they were much better. The price seemed a bit higher than I might expect but not outrageous. The guy quoted me an hour to do the replacement since I already had the new screen. He called about 10mins after I left and said it was done. Very friendly and showed me that it was in working order.

Brought my aunts IPad in for a cracked screen. They were able to repair it in about 4 hours which also included doing a recovery on it as well(it had been disabled as well). Excellent service and very reasonably priced.

I dropped my phone as I was walking out of the airport and the screen cracked. I had been to a UBreakIFIx once before so I was relieved to see that there was one up here and that I wouldnt have to wait until I returned home to get my phone repaired. The service was phenomenal, as expected, and as price goes you cant beat them. I highly recommend to anyone needing a phone repair in the Sioux Falls area!!

I called to see if they had the part to replace my screen. They said yes. I then drove 1.5 hours to the only to find out they didnt have the screen replacement. The employee told me they cant guarantee or hold parts, but failed to mention so on the phone when I had called. When I explained my plight of driving so far expecting to get my phone fixed today, the employee shrugged and said sorry bro. Complete lack of empathy and refused to even offer any solutions. Terrible customer service. Would give 0 stars if I could.

My son needed his LCD replaced on his iPhone 6s. They did it in 45 minutes and for a great price. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend uBreakiFix.

Told us they would have the phone fixed in 3 hours. When went to pick up the phone wasnt finished and told us to return before 7 pm. When we returned around 6:50 they were closed.

The gentleman at this location on 41st St. in Sioux Falls were very professional Swift and courteous. It is really nice to be able to relax and not worry about the precious dear old cell phone once it is in their hands

A day before a trade in to a new device, my phone had screen damage to the point of not being able to transfer contacts and photos to the new phone. A costly fix of $200 or more was needed. That would cancel the trade in value. For under $50 they put a temporary screen on so they could transfer data and then put the damaged one back on so I could trade it in. I think these guys can economically fix any issue. Highly recommended when you are in a tough spot.
