I go there every day just about for anything i need. Kianna who works at the Skowhegan Family dollar is amazing. She makes going there worth spending for groceries. She should get recognized for her great job.

This is a pretty typical dollar store. There are some good deals on paper towels and toilet paper fairly often. The selection of towels, curtains, small rugs etc is small but pretty good. The down falls of the store are the normal things... sometimes its a little dusty, sometimes the clerks are a little unenthusiastic (though pleasant enough) and sometimes there are a few empty shelves while the staff changes inventory from season to season.

Im always having problems here with checking out. The cashier/ manager is always on her cell phone. Having personal company during her working hours. Having a line of customers and acting like there not there and putting the work on the underdog. I agree with a comment that do people actually think this place is cheap....its not at all. Most cashiers are pleasant... there is one male employee is always looking ugly

Great people work there they are so nice me and my kids love going there we know all the workers they work really hard and are so sweet to us and everyone else

It sucks. I went to buyvthings that was advertised with smart coupon n by the time I left they had charged me full price for sum items n other items they gave me sale price but wouldnt use my coupon. I got ripped out of almost 6 bux. Wont happen again

The last time I was there, there was 3 kids who dont work there and 2 who do congregating at the door. They were blocking customers from entering and made no effort to get out of the way. As I passed them I turned just in time to see them pointing and laughing at my bald head - Im a cancer patient. I ignored them. I was there to get a long list of emergency supplies for our recent week long oytage. As I turned the corner, I could hear the same group of kids bragging about all the drugs theyve done and alcohol theyve drank. At this point I told them exactly what I think of them. The name of this store is The FAMILY Dollar. This is NOT a FAMILY environment. I thought about complaining to the manager... But after being told by a friend how he responded to her complaint... Hes useless. This girl was walking into the store. There was a clerk standing outside the door smoking. As my friend walked by him he flicked his cigarette and almost burned her daughter. She told him he shouldnt be smoking so close to the door and asked to speak with a manager. He then advised her he was the manager. He didnt even try to apologize!She also left and wont be back.This store is trashy. I will never go there or allow my children to be brought there again.
