Got some pimped out money green unique sneakers right at the source after I was buzzing and fell off a canoe into the then below 40 degree Great Moose Lake finally putting the miserable shoes I wore originally to rest. What a difference. The product quality is exceptional and there are extremely knowledgeable staff within that help you find it. Store is across from the factory. The selection could be better but if you ask for help, you get it - pleasantly. Prices are best during their tent sale. Plenty of parking. No public rest rooms. My old grade school - brings back memories.

We visiting the Skowhegan store on 03/28/2021. The employee working upstairs in the mens section was very helpful. I was interested in the Made in the USA line and he showed me where they are located and explained the product coding so I could determine the exact factory that the shoes were made in. A thank you to the helpful and proactive employee and a thank you to New Balance to committing to keeping these factories running. If you have the funds, it is worth it to select from the Made in the USA line. Reminder, if something costs twice as much but looks twice as good and lasts three times as long... you didnt pay more money for it, you paid less.

Went the Skowhegan fair sale and to say the company did a poor job organizing it this year is an understatement. The sale was i side the employees were not masked. The line rapped around the whole first floor 2 cash registers were open. I needed shoes but wasnt going to wait an hour in line with people that were pushing and cramped like sardines. A true covid 19 spreader!!! I hope management reads this and contacts me. I still need shoes but wont go u til the store is less crowded and safe to go in.

Staff is always very help. The store usually has a great selection including wide shoes which can be tough to find. They also offer military discount of 15% of non sale items.

Clean nicely laid out could see and touch everything. Apparel was 40% off so found some nice bargains. Staff was friendly and available.

We stopped in today to find sneakers for my daughter for back to school. The place was quite busy with three tents packed with shoes, clothing, backpacks, hats, and other accessories. The fellow who measured my daughters feet was curtious, friendly, and helpful despite being very busy. They have a large selection of footwear, and while some of it is factory seconds, there are also first quality items in the mix. Mens, Womans, childrens shoes of all sorts in the shoe tent, and clothing and accessories for all ages in the other two tents. We both found what we were looking for quite fast, and my daughter loves the style and colors she picked out! While there may be a bit of a wait at the checkout, the cashiers are the friendliest you will find around! Easy to notice just off route 201/ South main Street in Skowhegan Maine, right behind Laneys Gas and Convenience Store and Skowhegan Savings Bank. Free parking and a great sale! We walked out with $135+- worth of footwear for $100! Thanks New Balance for keeping us running strong!! A great place to buy MADE IN THE USA products manufactured right her in Skowhegan, Norriggwok, and South Paris Maine! Stop on in and have a look around!

Customer service needs improvement. Not helpful at all. But then again we do have an employee staffing issue everywhere!

Didnt have my size but i have a hard time due to it being a 15 4e when they didnt have my daughters size in the one she wanted a 9 d, I was shocked usually we can find hers. but not as big of a tent sale as they usually have

Very disappointing compared to previous years. Only a small fraction of what they normally have had. Saw more people walking out empty handed.

I stopped here unexpectedly. I found the sneakers that I wear all the time, were on sale, + 30 percent off! They didnt have any there but they checked to see if they could order for me. They were able to get them ordered for me. I ended up ordering 3 pairs yeah!!!

I like New Balance better than I do Nikes, they last longer, and theyre pretty comfortable.

Finally. A factory outlet and seconds store that is priced like a factory outlet store and not one of those tourist trap posing as an outlet with no price breaks. Hard to see the flaws on the seconds and the staff is helpful. Great place to find quality footwear and some active wear clothing at good prices. And when they have their sales...even better.

Even with the pandemic they are trying very hard to accommodate people. If the item you want isnt in stock, they will order it and, if available, have it delivered to your home. Overall a very pleasant shopping experience.

ADA compliance issue. The inside of the store is very inaccessible for people with physical handicaps, like me.THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. It is an older building,perhaps historical. Keep the building like it is, do not change it. As a person with a handicap, i prefer the building stay historical inside then change it to make it accessible.The ADA compliance issue is the parking lot. There are no handicap spaces. There are about 2 dozen spaces in front of the store, than across the street, there are handicap spaces across the street.Shopping, i was looking for sneakers for under $30 as i see NB sneakers on line for that price. Did not find any.

The sales lady was very helpful! She was patient and showed us shoes to try on. First she measured my feet to get an estimate on what size we wanted. My Mom bought a pair of shoes there, also. We received a discount because were purchased 2 pairs of shoes. We try to stop there when we are in the area.

4 pairs of 501 for $140 out the door. Cant beat that!!! I would like to see the price differential become smaller in regards to American made vs. Foreign made New Balance sneakers. It would encourage more people to buy the American made version. Doesnt mean you have to drop the price of the American made either 😉

We have bought many shoes from here. Prices are good for the product they sell. Good amount of.choices in sneakers. This place is extremely busy on tent days. But worth it.

Several factors play into my review.1. The store is relatively small with a limited selection to choose from. 2. Although they have signage which indicate masks are mandatory, the employees made no attempt to comply with or enforce this mandate. 3. Couldnt find shoes/sneakers that were made with natural materials like leather; everything was some form of synthetic material.

Great place to purchase NB at an affordable price they were running an extra 40% off and it they didn’t have the in store you could have them order in store a shipped directly to your home.

We got good deal on shoes but, why cant they have a selection of the MADE IN USA shoes from factory across the street. There was only one style for men amongst all the Vietnamese, Chinese and other foreign made styles. Thats why we went a little outta our way to stop in. BE AMERICAN AND BUY AMERICAN.

Every year coinciding with the Skowhegan State Fair - New Balance has their factory tent sale. All manner of items are available, shoes of all types, clothing, bags, shoe care supplies, anything for the runner or hiker. Picked up a couple of pairs of running shoes and a couple of dry-fit shirts. Prices are 50% or less of the retail costs. Shop earlier in the week for the largest selection.

The shoes are pricey. They were nice and found me some in stock at another store at a really nice price. Bought two pair for 55 dollars and sent to my house with free shipping.

My family loves the annual tent sale in the summer. Theres about 6-8 of us that go every year & everyone gets 2 pairs each. A huge selection for everyone at extremely low prices.

The building is deceptive as it looks like it once was a two-storey schoolhouse. The old floors still creak. More importantly, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There was a limited selection of sizes for some models, but the deals were excellent. The store had sneakers of all types as well as clothing. I just wish I bought more of the socks, which come in different sizes. Worth the side trip.

Overall,my experience was okay. The staff seemed eager to help, but not knowledgable to my specific questions only to common questions. I feel my questions may have been occasionally uncommon, but nowhere near outside of the scope of buying footwear. I felt they had a hard time giving me input. I also feel that I was pressured into looking at more athletic options over casual ones. The environment felt a little cramped as well.I do feel though, that the value was exceptional.

Prices were high and the designs were all the same. They used to be varied, yet the only variation stock were the misfit clearance racks of very small sizes. I went during the tent sale, and their selection of 2E was very poor. D is too small and 4E is too large; give me the choice of a 2E so I can break it in and have it be comfortable.
