Best cigar shop in the area. Great owner great employees. Prices are as good as they get unless you order from an online supplier. Support your local business.

The staff are the best aspect of this business in that they are very friendly and knowledgeable. The prices of every product in the store are bumped up to a crazy amount. The lounge is old, and the fans and filters have never been cleaned. The selection of cigars might be improving.

On two occasions Ive driven there because their website says theyre open. Theyre not. Not exactly what I would call professional. For the record, their prices are 30% higher then any retail cigar stores in the area. Lastly, simply getting them to answer the phone is a chore and the business is run extremely poor. Id be surprised if they last another year.

Ashes and Embers is the best cigar shop i have ever been to. The staff is always extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and has guided me to find a fair number of new cigars that i have enjoyed quite a bit. I appreciate their wide selection and careful care of the cigars, and the lounge.You can never go wrong with a trip to Ashes and Embers.

Didn’t go to the lounge since I just stopped in for cigars, but this place was great. Even though it’s not a huge spot, they still had a large and varied selection and the prices all seemed very reasonable and not overpriced. Recommend checking it out, and I do plan on stopping by again. However, parking is a pain given the location in downtown Somerville but that’s out of their control.

Great little boutique! Very clean, organized and staff is very knowledagble. New owners have made some changes so if you stopped by in the past and didnt like it, stop by again trust me it will be worth it! Ask for Tony was great

I really enjoyed this place! The selection was good and the atmosphere is excellent. Everyone there was having a good time and me and my friends had an amazing time. Needless to say Im going to frequent this place quite often!

Most reasonably priced smoking lounge in NJ. People bring their own libations and have no problem sharing and sharing alike. Great staff and owner. Hidden NJ gem!

Gentleman at the counter was beyond helpful! He set me up so I can spice my humidor and he went that extra mile to teach me. Also recommended some premium cigars based on a couple I mentioned I liked.....let me tell you he was spot on! The cigar was delicious! Im sorry I dont remember his name but today this shop earned all my future business! Thank you!

Great local tobacco shop. They were fast to reply online and in-store was very helpful and friendly. The cigar and loose tobacco selection is decent. I like that they dont really cater to the passing fads but remain a cigar shop

Excellent quality products and friendly/helpful staff. Prices are a little steep but what do you expect in downtown Somerville. Overall good shop, good hours, will keep buying my tobacco here.

This is one of the better lounges in the central jersey area.Fantastic selection of boutique brands and a large, comfortable lounge area.Prices are a tad high but that is to be expected in NJ.

I just visited this place on a whim since i was in the area. I enter, kindly say hello and the A-hole with a gray beard barely responded. I asked if he carried a certain brain he he quickly said, “no” with no eye contact. I could feel he didn’t want me in his shop for whatever reason. He didn’t even offer assistance or recommend me a similar brand like most cigar shops do. From my experience, most shop employees/owners are very enthusiastic about helping patrons find new sticks to smoke. I decided this person was so rude, unprofessional that i would not spend one dime in this shop today or ever! He and i had a few colorful words. I’ll make sure to let my friends in the community to know not to visit this place.

I came in with a problem, a clogged stem on one of my pipes. I got solid advice on how to resolve it. Worked like a charm. This shop is top notch

Shop appears to have recently changed ownership as the humidor has been cleaned up and the cigar selection has improved considerably. Although prices have slightly increased, I still stop by for a good Parejo.

Best cigar lounge in the tristate area. I have no idea what previous reviews are saying about the staff. They learned my name by the second time I came and are beyond friendly. The cigars are kept very nicely, and they have a pretty good selection of pipe tobacco too. The accessories are nice. The lounge itself is comfortable and kept perfect with the help of large air purifiers. Love this place!

This Cigar shop has excellent customer service and a friendly atmosphere.

The store is beautiful, but the service is awful. The obnoxious kid behind the counter plays video games the whole time and doesnt want to help you. I asked him for help and he said hold on, continued to play his video game for a while, and finally stopped and said I had to kill a saber cat. What do you want? And then these people complain that online retailers are whats killing their businesses. Yeah...right.

I had to change my review cause of recent events the guy in this store is very rude doesnt wanna talk or anything he wants you to buy and get out go somewhere else plus there prices are higher
