We identified the VIN - and for two weeks discussed (via phone, email and text messages) how to make the transaction happen - from another state. This review is for Patrick in the service department. I had an unexpected issue with my window today and he got me in and out in about 30 mins. He explained the issue before the service dept. Even had a look at it and was on top of the whole thing. He is clearly great at multitasking while having top notch customer service. I even got to drive a courtesy car home (Ive never done this before, its peak luxury) I will absolutely be switching my services from the location closest to my home to Sonoma Chevy just for the experience I had today. Horrible experience today! Drove a hour and a half to purchase a truck from there. Couldnt even test drive it!!!!! Called me four times before hand to make sure I was coming, I mentioned it everytime that I wanted to test drive before purchasing. Not once did he say it wasnt possible til I got there!!!!! Customer service is good and the people are friendly enough. The quality of service is average. They perform normal maintenance as expected but where sub-par on fixing a small tire leak for a family members truck. A tire shop found a screw in the tire at a later visit. Silveira did not find the screw when they had the vehicle. This makes them come off as not too detail oriented. However since they are not solely a tire shop, the mistake is partially forgiven. Buying cars from them is pleasant. They are not too pushy on getting you to make a sale. Above average dealer experience.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FORM Silveira Chevrolet! I had talked to a salesman and was very specific about what I wanted and needed and expected from my car dealer. NO HAGGLING! I want to see the best offer you can up front. If you cant do that tel me now and I will go else where. Did not happen! Beware! Don’t let the good reviews fool you. They’re left over from the previous owners who took decades to earn them. The previous owners were “Sonoma Chevrolet.” Current owners are “Silveira Chevrolet.”The current owners are living off a legacy that is gone, gone, gone. Even the photos on this review site are of the old buildingFor the 25 years that we bought vehicles here (Suburban, two Tahoes, two 3/4-ton, 4x4 Silverados, two Equinoxes) this was a wonderful 5-star place for sales and service.We also recommended them to friends and family who also bought vehicles here.We can no longer recommend them and advise you to look elsewhere .While Patrick, the service manager has always done a stellar job, he is now hobbled by people who offer excuses and apologies, not results.A couple of months ago, we took my daughter’s Tahoe in for service. And had to being it back TWICE because they never did all the work on the service order ... that we had paid for.Ditto on my Silverado, plus the new service guy tried to up-sell me on work my truck did not need. There are consumer laws against that.And my wife’s new Equinox had a defective battery. Jump started it yesterday. They kept it all day and agreed that the 5-month-old battery was defective. They did not replace it but supposedly charged it and asked her to come back today (2/22/19) .We had to jumpstart it this morning because Silveira could not conduct the same sort of diagnostics that AAA uses ... which would have told them that the charge would not hold.Of course, if we had called AAA instead, they would have brought a new battery, installed it and not wasted more time.The Equinox was in there by 8am ... and it’s still not fixed.If they didn’t have a battery, they could have picked one up at the O’Reilly auto parts 3 blocks away. But they get a bigger profit margin by shipping in their own battery. All the general manager can say is “we’re aware of the problem and working in it.” Over and over.That’s a BS Comcast-type excuse.Quality businesses produce results. This dealership used to be quality. Now it’s all excuses for not doing the job.Companies that offer excuses rather than results get no respect and deserve Tom lose customers.There are many other places to buy your vehicles from and have them serviced. Avoid this one. It’s sad to say goodbye to a 25-year business relationship, but Silviera has made that easier by their ineptitude and excuses.Sayonara Silveira!

It is not often that I would take the time to write a review or a “kudos” letter. Nevertheless, when there is a business and/or employees that truly stand out, it deserves and earns the extra time it would take me to acknowledge that wonderful behavior and performance. This is absolutely one of those times. I was lucky to have been introduced to Dan Roseland (owner of Sonoma Chevrolet) through my best friend who just finished buying a beautiful truck from him. When I first contacted him via phone I instantly understood why my best friend praised him so much. To me, the car sales industry has that “shmarmy” stereotype which in many cases is duly earned. **Definitely not at Sonoma Chevrolet.** The phone conversation we initially had reminded me of a wonderful conversation I would have with those family members I liked and respected. Dan was all ears and interjected at all the right times to help me through the process of qualifying me with the right type of vehicle for my needs. After several follow-up phone calls I had updating me on his progress, Dan landed 2 vehicles that fit my family like luxurious gloves. I then had the pleasure of heading up to Sonoma from Pleasanton to finally meet him face to face along with his family-like team members. Alberto was the finance king for Sonoma Chevy and he too treated us like royalty! It was to the point that I felt like I needed to continuously thank them for treating us so well.I cannot find all the words to articulate how wonderful an experience it was buying cars at Sonoma Chevrolet. It was like anticipating one of those scary dental appointments that turned out to be a soothing and enjoyable spa like experience.Please allow Dan and his team to serve you for any vehicle needs, used or new (I did the used). I went in to the service department to reflash a GMC sierra 3500 HD Transmission Control Module o. The staff is courteous and fast. I would go in again if I ever have to have my truck repaired.
