I bought a new (demo) 330xi from Basney BMW, and the experience was incredibly smooth and no pressure. Denny Moss and the whole Basney team were fabulous throughout the process. They had the best price of any BMW dealer in the area (including the Chicago area), and gave me a very good price for my trade. Its so refreshing to work with a dealer thats fair, honest, and puts customer service first. I recommend them wholeheartedly!

I have been a BMW Driver for over 15 years and been to all sorts of dealerships in the Midwest. I thought the days of leasing/buying a luxury vehicle and it being a different experience was gone. The last few purchases felt like going to a Chevy dealer and I was the nest mark that came in the door. Basney and Chris Eagan fulfilled every thing I could ever ask. I told them what I wanted, they found the vehicle, got the exact terms I wanted and delivered a pristine car the next day. It doesnt get any better!

BASNEY BMW SERVICE is horrible. Shortly after buying the car the sunroof would not work. It was under warranty. Took over 3 months to get the parts. Called and scheduled an appt over a month out to get it fixed. Dropped it off at 8:30 am for the appt and got a message later saying it was going to be a couple days. The next day I call at 4:30 pm and find out the car has not even been touched yet. 2 FULL DAYS after dropping it off for a scheduled service appointment and they never even started it.

My 2018 BMW M3 Competition had an annoying squeak on cold starts, emanating the serpentine belt area, around the alternator. It seemed like the alternator and/or water pump would need to be replaced. The service team however, correctly diagnosed the issue as just needing a new belt and to my surprise it’s back to normal. My Service Advisor, Dean Wirth, takes care of customers with a super friendly attitude and goes out of his way to make sure the customer is accommodated, and happy. If you have a late model BMW that needs service in the Michiana area, give Basney a call and ask for Dean.

Long before google reviews, when I was in high school I had a dream of buying a BMW, I worked almost every weekend and during the week in the summers to save up for my dream, by the time I was a senior I had saved up $12,000, so I headed to Basney cash in hand to see if I could make my dream a reality. The year was 2002, I looked through the used car lot and there she was, a beautiful 1994 beige 530i, it was love at first sight. The only problem was that the asking price was $13k and change. After some haggling the keys were in my hands and I was living the dream. I wish this was the start of a fairytale, but unfortunately my fairytale ended 2 years later after I found out the car had a defective engine and was gonna cost just as much as I had paid for it to get it fixed. This was actually a major problem with this year and series car that I was unaware of at purchase. With this being such a well known problem, I personally believe the dealership knew about this and instead of installing a new block they were looking to offload it. This wasn’t a certified preowned car and Basney had no responsibility to help me with the problem, which they definitely did not. While I recognize this was a long time ago this nightmare continues to come up every time I look to replace my current vehicle. I have a very hard time trusting anyone in the automotive field because of this experience. I leave this review so that hopefully it would cause others to do more research on the used car their looking to purchase and to make sure your purchasing from someone you can trust. I may be the only one this has ever had happened to at Basney but two things are certain for me. 1. I will never buy a car from Basney and 2. I will never buy a BMW again.

I went to basney for a airbag recall because they prompted me weekly to get it fixed which I appreciate very much. They fixed it And even offered to wash the car for free. The procedure only took about an hour and a half so they let me sit in their comfortable waiting room and gave me free coffee. Thank you basney

They were great! I got a flat tire. They ordered the tire right away, got it the following morning, and put on the car. They washed my car for me and had me on my way before 11am. They kept in touch with me via text message all the time. They also helped with my warranty claim and basically handled everything for me. My contact there was so nice and helpful. Please consider using this car dealership whenever you need help.

I recently bought a 2015 BMW M235i xdrive from Basney BMW. The overall experience was fantastic especially because I was buying from out of state. I live in Utah and flew out 1,500 miles and Tyler (the salesman I worked with) actually picked me up from the South Bend airport! They had all the paperwork ready and I was out of there within half an hour. I would definitely work with them again. Tyler did everything I ask for including sending videos of the interior/exterior and giving me all the maintenance records. 10/10 sales experience

Never getting my car diagnosed here again. I took my car in because there was as oil leak and my key fob wasnt working properly. They told me the battery was dead in the key fob and they had to order a new one so that cost me about $450 and it didnt fix the issue at all. They also told me the car had a rear main seal leak and they wanted $1800 to fix it. I ended up having 2 other people look at it and they both told me it was a valve cover leak and I got it fixed for $700

The individual who took my information was rather rude and uninterested in my situation. I was not surprised by this rudeness since this service department was rude to me over the phone when I asked about changing brake pads. Have a great day.

I recently bought my dream car from Basney BMW, a 5 series and could not be happier and pleased with my experience. Shawn was my sales associate and was so kind and helpful to deal with-he is hilarious and really steered me in the right direction. Dean in the finance office was great to deal with as well when it came to sorting out all the details. They ordered my plates for me and when they came in Lisa texted me to inform me they had arrived and they sent them to me in the mail and I paid through their secure payment site. It was EASY and effortless. My experience at Basney BMW has been so personal, which makes all the difference to em because that is what will keep me coming back. Took my vehicle in on 10/7/20 because on the computer of my 428i I kept getting a warning for drivetrain malfunction. After diagnostic testing I was told that I needed to update my computer and things would be back to normal. I paid for the computer update and picked my car up on 10/8/20. On 10/9/20 while driving on the highway the warning for drivetrain malfunction popped back on and my car cut off completely. The dealership was closed when this happened so I had my vehicle towed to my house. Today 10/10/20 I called to the dealership right when they opened and was told that I would have to bring my vehicle in on Monday because the service department is closed on the weekend. I am not pleased with Barney at this point! I do not feel that my vehicle is safe to drive.

During a recent new car purchase my wife and I found the entire Basney BMW team very helpful and customer friendly. In our particular case we made a mistake in picking the model we selected. After letting Denny Moss (our sales associate) know our concerns and our mistake he arranged a new solution within 48 hours. We are very happy with the new model.Everyone in the Basney team went above and beyond what I would consider usual to make us satisfied customers. As a retired senior citizen I was very pleased they took our concerns seriously and worked quickly to make purchase a positive one.

The Basney BMW are nice and work performed is acceptable. Patrick Austin is superbly helpful.The scheduling of service is pathetic not because of Patrick, but because of the way that recalls are handled at the cost of timely delivery of service to owners that need repairs.Twice now in the last four months I have been told that service will need to be scheduled in two weeks because of the backlog of BMW recalls. Twice the car has had the check engine light on. I call and am told it will be two weeks.This is totally unacceptable. I probably will never buy a BMW again, even though it is a good car, because of the lousy servicing schedule.Again this is not Patrick’s fault he is s great person. It is because of a philosophy of putting new cars first and ones a few years old last. If I do not get check engine light fixed BMW will say I didn’t follow the schedule and I could have warranty problems. Yet when I call Basney BMW they cannot schedule car for repair because of recalls, thus dooming my car to have more problems or fail..I am happy with car, happy with service when it is done, however am severely unhappy with how service is not provided in a timely manner.

Terrible service experience with Seth. My X3 needed sensor parts replacement that they didn’t have. Seth told me that they ordered it and that it will arrive in 2 days but never followed up with me for more than TWO weeks. I later called the service department asking for his boss (Jason). I was surprised to learn that they already had the parts but apparently forgot to call me! I’d rather drive to Schererville or Kalamazoo to service my BMW.BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE @ BASNEY

My 2015 BMW was in an accident in April of 2018. The damage involved replacing the right door skin and mirror, the right fender and repairing a vibration that I described to them in detail.I picked my car up just before closing on the day they said it would be ready [after 15 business days].There were 7 [seven] major things wrong: the new mirror did not adjust at all, a windshield moulding piece was missing, the vibrations while turning remained, the automatic window control reacted crazily, there was an air leak around the window, the door did not close properly and the fender had a faint 8X6 blue spot on the black paint! UNACCEPTABLENext they had it for 5 1/2 business days to fix the above problems. They replaced the LEFT wheel bearing and made repairs to the mirror wiring harness [a new one was only available in Germany].I got the car back to find the vibrations remained and a rubber boot for the wiring harness not reinstalled.Next, after I took the technician on a test drive, they replaced the RIGHT front wheel bearing. One more business day.WOW, I dont think i will be going back there again!Attention to detail is far from their strong suit.EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED

I brought my Mazda 6 in for some issues. The gentleman that checked me in did not make me feel as if he understood the issues even after I showed him pictures of the errors. When I picked it up JD was far more friendly and understanding. They had to order a part so when I bring it back JD said that he would check about the other issues. I understand because I picked it up about 15 minutes before closing. So I will see when I bring it back. I hate computer issues.

While we were just there to get a second key for our 2013 Mazda 5 (recently purchased from another dealer, and which only came with one key!?) we had a pleasant first experience with Basney BMW Mazda. Our service person was pleasant and professional. He explained the process, and invited us to wait in the customer lounge, which was clean and comfortable--nice chairs, good snacks and drinks and a good selection of reading materials. The process of cutting and programming the key, plus the free car wash, was a good experience for us, and only took a little over an hour. Thanks for the good service.

I just had to leave a review! The team at the body shop were amazing!! Ricky J went way above and beyond to help me with all concerns! My car had some rear end damage and the repairs were done perfectly! On top of that, they swept and wiped down the interior and thoroughly washed and wiped the outside. Basney Service is the best I have seen yet. I have no reservations in taking my new 2018 Mazda and leaving it in their hands, because I know it will be treated and serviced as professionally as it gets folks. You can count on them to get it done correctly, no question about it. It bears mentioning the 2018 I just referenced is my second new car purchase from Basney. The first was a 2015 Mazda, and I still take it to them for service if that tells you anything.

Dear Friends, I found my recent trip to Basney BMW for service was exceptional. I went because my computer indicated an air pressure drop in one of my tires. Usually this means nothing more than a change in the weather. Not so this time. The Basney service men found a huge nail in the tire, removed it and repaired the tire, washed the car and had me sign for the work, but did not charge me. Overall the experience was great. My car looks amazing, and they returned it to me washed and clean inside and out. Customer service is great too. I scheduled Enterprise to pick me up 15 minutes after drop off, because I didnt know how long it would take. I had to wait at the shop, until one of the employees saw me waiting, and called them for me to have them come pick me up sooner so I didnt have to wait any longer.

I have been nothing but frustrated with this company. My 2007 Mini Cooper was leaking oil and the check engine light was on. Took the car in and they repaired everything that they said was wrong with it. The car ran well for a couple of weeks but started leaking again so I took it in when I had the extra money the next month and they said that it needed something different this time. Its puzzling to me that they would have missed so many things that were wrong with the car when they had a a few weeks prior. They fixed it and I got my car back. When I got my car back, the latch to the hood was broken and the hood could not be opened. Nobody informed me of this so Im glad that I noticed it on my own. I called them and they did fix this for free but it shouldnt have happened in the first place. It is a few weeks later and my car still isnt running like it should and leaks occasionally. After spending 2,600 dollars and getting my valve cover gasket, spark plug tube seals, spark plugs, coils, thermostat, water pump, and a couple other things replaced, my car still doesnt run properly and I am currently looking into another place to take it. The staff is friendly to your face and I do like how they talk to their customers with respect but its whats going on when Im not there that Im worried about. I do not recommend Basney BMW.

I had codes appear on my dash on/off for approx. one month. It just so happened that they appeared recently when I was near Basney. I left the car running and Kevin was able to squeeze me in. Not even sure where to begin. Bought a 650i Gran Coupé 30 days ago from an Audi dealer (lease trade in). Tires were new, only 24k when i bought it. After a few weeks of driving the parking sensor started to constantly beep.I brought it in to be looked at and asked for them to just look over the car to see if its in good shape. Its a BMW, not a Hyundai, it should be kept nice. I also asked for it to be run through the car wash because I am trying to keep it in good shape. Apparently the valve stem had started to leak.It took them a week to diagnose and fix the parking sensor and they somehow broke the tire pressure sensor while they were fixing the valve stem. I figured since it took so long they would have the car ready when I picked it up.The car was outside, covered in snow. I had to sweep it off and got soaked on the way back to a meeting. Also, somehow they did 55 miles of road testing at 12 miles per gallon. Oh, and the back seat was folded down for some reason.No acceptable level of service provided. I was hoping to build a good relationship with the BMW dealership in the area. One that a friend said provided great service. I wouldve had a better experience at a Jiffy Lube.

Basney BMWs service department took me at open of business without an appointment for an emergency repair (water pump and thermostat). I waited while they worked, and they had me out in less than 3 hours. Service advisor Greg was great, all the employees were friendly.

Basney BMW Mazda is an amazing dealership!! Not only was the staff professional and respectful but they truly listened to my interests/needs in looking for my next car! They provided me with several options, they were patient, and researched to find exactly what I was looking for within my budget. They were not pushy at all.After my first service visit, the staff got back to me right away to schedule a visit and were extremely accommodating! The service center staff is also very knowledgeable, professional, honest and fair in their quotes!I would recommend anyone to check them out as they are doing business the right way! Its always a good feeling to go into a dealership knowing they arent out to take advantage of you!

I have taken my BMW for service for couple of times now and everytime they have been top notch. Special shout out to my service advisor Greg Perz, he has always been very professional, friendly and really prompt in his communication. All my concerns were taken care of in a very timely manner. Consistently happy with the service at Basney on my 07 BMW, which has maintained quality form through normal driving. Major kudos to the staff for updating the waiting room and carving out a place better suited to do work while you wait. Definitely enhances the experience to the point that you dont feel like youre burning time that could be better used to be productive. Staff overall is very friendly and professional.

When we purchased a new car at Basney (July 2015), our salesman gave us information that we later found out was completely untrue.First, he told us that there were no improvements between the 2014 and 2015 models of the car we were considering. We had researched the 2015 model and knew it had the features we wanted. We took his word that the 2014 model was the same. We later found that there had been a very substantial change between models.Second, when considering the car we noticed it had no spare tire. We asked about this. We were told that it did not need a spare because it had run-flat tires. When I got a flat tire two months later, I discovered that it did not have run-flat tires. Since it also did not have a spare, I had to get it towed.We contacted Basney BMW about these concerns. They have opted to ignore us. The salesman lied about the car and now the dealership dont even have the decency to apologize.
