Great place. I am not local, this place was recommended. They did an amazing job on my vehicle. Were able to get me in and out fairly fast. Even called and arranged my rental car to pick me up. The work was top notch, followed up to make sure I was happy. I have been taking my Toyotas to this location for oil changes for years. I called & told them I was now driving a Saab & asked if they could still do an oil change for me using synthetic 5W 30 oil. They told me yes. I asked if the price would still be $23. They told me yes. When I took my car in they told me to use full synthetic oil I would have to have the $68 package. I had my oil changed & when I checked out $70 later I asked the girl if they filled the air in my tires & she assured me they did. I pulled over in the parking lot next to them & checked the air in my tires & they had not filled them. I called & the employee who answered said they filled them to 35 pounds. I said it says right on the door the tires take 41 pounds. He rudely said if you bring it back we will fill the tires up. I said that’s OK I’ll do it myself. He was not polite & I have no intention of returning. For $70 I expect not to be lied to & I definitely expect better treatment than what I received.

I must give credit when credit is due. The body work on my car is done just about perfect. What I dont like is that when I went to pick my vehicle up my radio didnt work and was working fine when I dropped off, the tint on my window had been damaged from repair and I also discovered that my headlight bulb was blown. All were in good condition before then. Headlight bulb is over $100 to replace. Side door repair doesnt require a person to touch any of the above.

Collision repair was great. Fine detail and follow through is horrible. Went to pick up car on completed day(Friday) told to come back Monday. Window didnt work. Came back Tuesday, had to take back Wednesday because window didnt close all the way. Service advisor acted like there was nothing wrong the first time but he didnt drive it. I didnt appreciate that comment. Then my door handle trim was broken so I had to come back again the following Monday. Supposedly its on order and they will call me. I came back 2 weeks later... still on order. Now its been 2 months and Ive not heard anything and Im still missing my door handle trim. Will follow up with my insurance to notify them of the service I received from a preferred body shop.

Trash outside in the parking lot, lobby floor dirty, foot prints on the lobby chairs. Bathroom floor, toilet, sink, light switch very dirty.

Super fast, super friendly and the waiting room is clean!!!! The prices are very much reasonable too.

Only 2 out of 8 workers I saw inside were wearing a mask. Zero social distancing. Asked about sanitizing spray for my car they had been working on (without masks on) and they acted just so frazzled. Like really? You’re an open business amongst this pandemic and don’t have proper cleaning supplies? Behavior like this is why Notre Dame is shutting down and hundreds of small businesses in the area are going to go bankrupt. Selfish and irresponsible.

I have been going to Gates for years. I recently had to take my vehicle in for warranty repairs. They provided me with updates and were able to get my vehicle done the same day I dropped it off. I then got a follow up call the next day to make sure everything was resolved. Brian has always done an amazing job taking care of me.

Great customer service! We hit a deer on Christmas Eve while visiting family in South Bend. They got us in the day after Christmas and had it done in just a few days to get us back on the road to head home to Denver! Great customer service. Friendly and kept us updated the entire time. Oil change-could be faster but not bad.

If you need your car fixed due to an accident don’t allow it to come here. I’ve called and was told ya it’s all just being put back together all we need to do is put the bumper on and clean it up and it should be good to go 10:30am. 3:30 pm I am here now to pick my car up and oh it’s still being put together.. trying their best. Huh? I thought all you had to do is put the bumper back on and clean it up. So basically you’ve lied to me this entire time? Ray the shop manager you’re a joke.

Had my oil changed. This is where I like to take my vehicles. They have a waiting area or I go to Taco Bell next door and wait. The employees are very nice. Sometimes I feel like they are a little slow, but it is usually due to lack of mechanics. They also have a body shop at this location.

It was supposed to take 2 weeks to repair the damage to my car from an accident. They got it done several days early. They did an awesome job, you cant tell that the rear end of my car had ever been hit. Definitely would use their services again when needed.

I was accustomed to having my service and body shop needs at the McKinley location for over 10 years. Then I moved to the south side. The Ireland location service n body shop staff is much better. It’s smaller but their more personable. Aim to provide great customer service. 👍🏽

Honest, fast, reliable, and fair prices

Love this place!! John, the service manager, was terrific!! I will be taking my car back for any and all service and maintenance issues. I had my AC fixed, a sensor replaced, and they swapped out my headlight. John explained everything to me I know nothing about cars except to put gas in them. I didnt expect them to get my car done as quick as they did, a great surprise! They have certainly won me over and they have gained a new customer.

This place took advantage of me because I am a woman and fixed my car that wasnt broken in order to gain some money. If I could give them zero stars I would. I warn any female to think twice before going here! They were rude about the situation and there was stuff missing from my car!!

Very happy with the work they did repairing some body damage to my car. Everyone was very helpful and friendly during the whole process. They even had my car done a week prior to the original finish date. Highly recommend this body shop.

We met with Isaiah and he quoted how much it would take to fix our car. We set up a time for our vehicle to be there while we were away on vacation. They told us it would be done in that time frame no problem. Ray the manager texted us to discuss that it needed a little more work than previously quoted because of further damage thatcouldn’t be seen. No problem, we knew that was a possibility. My husband talked to Ray and ok’ed that work plus what was agreed upon, the driver side door, which was previously quoted and was supposed to be done while we are away. We come to pick up the car today and drivers side door is not done. Isaiah tells us it wasn’t his fault hisManager Ray was the one taking care of our car. We talk to Ray and first thing out of his mouth “ it wasn’t me, I didn’t have anything to do with it.” We have a text from Ray and my husband spoke to him on the phone. No accountability from Ray the manager, nor from Isaiah or anyone at Gates.Now we have to find another company and we will be without our family Vehicle for another few days. No apologies from Gates but lots of finger pointing. We will not be returning.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Was told by my adjuster on Friday that the car was expected to be done by the end of the day...I couldnt make it up there till Monday so I went right after work basically just to drive 45 min out of my way for them to tell me its not done....then Im about 10 min from home and they call to tell me its done but couldnt tell me that before I left that it would only be about an hour. So finally I go to pick up my car Tuesday and the bumper is popped off and wont stay in place (which it wasnt like that before)...I can still clearly see the crack in the bumper that they fixed and then there were pretty deep scratches at the bottom of the bumper where they just painted over those instead of actually fixing it. Needless to say, I thought that by taking it to the dealer my car would look like it just rolled off the showroom floor....boy was I wrong!! And their customer service matches their quality of work. Shoddy!

Absolutely horrible! The day after my car was brought in I called the dealership on Ireland rd to ask on the status of it. They replied they didnt have my car and that it was at the body shop and they transferred me to them. After asking someone at the body shop about my car they replied they didnt have it. He put me on hold and transferred me back to the dealership....again right before telling me they didnt know where my car was! Now that Im utterly pissed off I began to call the tow truck company now panicked to find out where they brought my car and my phone rang and it was from the body shop. The lady told me that they found my car....a day after mind you and that they will order 2 tires and do a fuel test(which is what my insurance covered and what I needed). First off how do you not know my car was there if the keys were turned in to the front desk. Second, how do you find a car sitting on your lot and claim you dont know anything about it or where it came from. It took them over a week to get 2 new tires(theyre not special and easy to find ANYWHERE. For example the auto store 3 businesses down next to aldi, the belle tire right around the corner, or maybe the gates Toyota dealership service center right down the road next to Walmart that theyre affiliated with! So a little over a week later I finally get the call that my car is ready. Go to pick it up on my way to work and in my excitement of getting it back didnt notice until the day after that they put the 2 new tires on the drivers side of the car NOT the front end! Called back to address this and have it corrected and the lady was rude and short with me. Told me that they were just doing what the insurance lady said. I asked, so if it werent covered by my insurance would yall have done it correctly and put them on the front?! She didnt even answer me and shortly asked me,well, do you want us to fix this or not! Simple reply....NO!Sorry so long but do not go here...horrible service and horrible customer retention or lack thereof.

I brought my car in with an oil leak. Got it back with extra bolts(assuming they werent extra). Engine shoots oil out every orifice after being driven a couple times.. so no I dont consider worse better and incompetent mechanics trying to blow up the engine in my $15,000 car..

Guys are nice and knowledgeable. Never had a bad experience, was able to answer all my questions and they do great job.

Body shop did a poor job repairing my car.. I figured they’d try hard to impress me seeing I have a super nice wrx sti.. but no.. paint match was off at least 2 shades darker.. still had cracks and broken pieces on the grill. The put in fog lights when I nvr had fog lights. And no electrical for them.. they took my red top optima battery for no reason and replaced it with an acdelco battery. On top of that. It took em 3 months for the repairs. Should have been one month. And they made me pay out of pocket for rental.. was such an aweigh experience for a reputable shop..

All I needed was my tires air pressure checked. They were courteous and got me in and out.

Decent mechanic, HORRIBLE customer service. I made an appt to drop my Impala off at 7am to fix an oil leak. By 11am I had not heard anything from them so I called & was informed they had lost the # I gave them to contact me. Then he tells me that my check engine light was on & proceeds to tell me the codes. I ask him about the oil leak he tells me he doesnt know, they didnt check that, just did an engine diagnostic (they charge $52 for this which can be done for free at AutoZone). Well seeing as I told them when I made the appt AND when I dropped it off that i had an oil leak, this made no sense ??!!? He then tells me they will check for the oil leak, costs another $20. Calls me back an hr later & quotes me a price for repairs. I ask will they be able to do it today & he tells me absolutely as long as they dont run into any unforseen problems. By 4:45 I hadnt heard back so I called again to be informed my car wont be done until the next morning. I understand they cant guarantee a time the repairs would be done but if they couldnt get them done when they said they shouldve called. Also, if they wouldve looked at what I asked at 7am when I brought my car instead of waiting till almost noon it wouldve been done the same day. Called yet again the next day since i still heard nothing by 10am they said, oh yeah its done. Never called. While the repair was done well and is guaranteed they have absolutely no communication skills & never once even attempted to apologize for the lack of communication or the delay. For a place that charges almost double the other shops in the area, they fail miserably in the customer service department. I will not return.

I will never bring my cars here again i got a side quarter replaced and some of the paint on the panel where it meets the bumper looks messed up, and i had them redo a back bumper and they fixed it but stuck the license plate light on with duct tape instead of getting me another light housing, these people suck

Extremely unsatisfied with the service, my husband and I had two of our vehicles in the shop for repairs and when we went to pick up our vehicles they came home with new problems that they DID NOT HAVE BEFORE!!!!!

Horrible body shop. Took months to repair, body panels fell off, paint started chipping and peeling within a few weeks, nothing aligned properly, have a larger issue than before it went in. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone, unless you want the run around to eventually get what you get. Look elsewhere.

My friend and I came into gates where a woman named Kim welcomed us she was very friendly we told her we needed a oil change and she told us that we needed to head over to the service center we thanked her and went over to the service center we walk in this woman is on the phone just giving nasty looks at us she hangs up the phone does not say hi how can I help you she looks at us nasty and says what do you need I looked down to catch her name its Teena my friend said she wanted to get the 19.95 oil change Teena said where is your car my friend said parked over there as Teena walks away from us she says nasty you will have to pull it in so my friend and I get in the car and pull in the service center Teena helped 2 cars before us when it came to our turn she walked away and got on the phone talking and just looking at us we sit there and wait we see Teena wave over a service guy she looked at him and said you help them he walks over he is very nice very respectful his name was Shane he talked to us about a few things and said you ladies may have a seat in the waiting room we will get your car back and finshed Teena has a bad attitude problem she treats customers like crap very rude do not want to deal with her again ever....
