I was very fortunate to have broken down in South Bend. Didnt like the fact that I broke down, but if I were to break down again I would choose South Bend and Steves team at Midas to do my repairs. Steve, Sean and the others at Midas were great. They were professional, helpful, honest and quick. Steve helped me coordinate everything. He located a tow truck (Very reasonable price) to take my car from hotel to his shop and then they had my car ready the next day. I highly recommend them. Thank you guys.

I was thrilled when I called and was told they could get me in that day. Everywhere I had called earlier that morning told me it would be days before they could even look at it. It was a 30 minute drive, but well worth it. The waiting area was clean and I would have been more than comfortable waiting but I had made arrangements to have a friend meet me and we went for lunch and a little bit of shopping. A couple hours later I received the call that the brakes were done. I am extremely grateful, they were reasonably priced and did the job right.They will be my first call from now on!

Been bringing my van here for about a year and unfortunately moving now, but Kelly, Pat and the guys in the shop have all been great, reasonable, take the time to explain whats going on and the alternatives. Never happy about prices - but can say that no matter where I go when it comes to car repairs so cant hold it against them - and they have been fair. Last stop they even missed a repair (there was a list getting ready for a cross-country trip) so I had to go back, but they fixed it for the price of the part.

Had a very wonderful morning of trying to find a new tire and rim after mine got stolen while I was at work, at the hospital. Took it to midas to get old tire off and balanced and they did it for free for me! Definitely turned the last part of my rim and tire adventures around, so thank you so much!

Just went to this Midas for a passenger side headlamp repair. I brought own part. 76 dollars for one side . will never come here again. Over priced for a simple repair. Originally quoted 40 to 60 upon arrival.

Came in to get my brakes checked out. Kelly was excellent at walking me through the process, and explaining what goes into the work that was done. Will be back anytime I need my vehicle serviced.

Great install job! Customer service was amazing as well! Other muffler shops gave me the runaround and said they couldnt install my muffler and exhaust because my car was too low to go on a lift. I took it to midas and it was not an issue

Made a appointment on Wednesday for Saturday morning. And when I get there, I was told that I never made one. And that I would have to drop it off for the day to get it in line. I just left. No customer care

Yeah I asked them to put a set of rear shocks on my truck and they told me on the phone or cost two hundred dollars to get them done once I got there and they got the truck up on the rack he told me it would cost $200 aside and 400 bucks and Im going no way theres people man that would do it cheaper than you and theyre certified so Midas is a rip off anybody goes there they need to check with a doctor before they go because Midas is just one thing capital m stands for money thats in midass thing that they like to rip people off they dont care about the American people they dont care about the people in South Bend theyre just there to rip you off and hopefully you might come back the next time but Ill never go back ever

Ive been coming to my local Midas shop for many years and they have consistently looked out for my best interests; best service, best price, efficiently and professionally done. They even helped me get tires replaced under warranty when local roadwork damaged them.

Ive been going to Midas for many years and particular the one on Michigan St. Ive seen plenty of managers and staff come and go. But the manager there now is awesome, I dont remember his name but he is great! Wonderful experience several hundred dollars later but thats life, I need my car so 😗😗😗

Guy in the office was making call after call. He looked behind him, saw me, and 2 other guys waiting to be helped and continued making calls for another 5-10 minutes. When he came out he said what do you need. We said just a quick oil change he said cant do it. To busy. Go to one of the other midas locations and went back in the office to place more calls leaving the 2 guys behind me having to wait even longer!!

It was nice they are very nice people. When I need work done they always get my business.

I managed to get to Midas 30 minutes before they closed and they were kind enough to change my oil even though they were ready to starting closing up. The tech, Rolly, was very nice and explained the issues with my car in a way that was easy to understand without being condescending. Both the tech and the employee at the counter were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - I will absolutely continue to return to Midas for a long time to come!

Was a last minute thing but I needed my headlight fixed among other things an I have taken my car to this location many times they have kept my car up and running I would recommend people to go to this place yea they are busy at time but thats what you get when you know your car is being taken care of. Way over priced for parts and labor ..they tried to sell me parts for my car that I didnt need.. over 1700 to replace a lower control arm and front wheel cv boot..ridiculous! Go to daves garage on main up towards Wal Mart he was WAY LOWER!

My buddy needed some brake work done on his Ford. He showed me his bill, and it was outrageous how much they charged. For front pads and rotors, it was over $600. $133 just for pads. This should have been a $350 job.

Fast service and felt like I was given honest advice. Masks are nowhere to be found though. No sign about requiring masks & none of the employees/ customers had on masks. Was very uncomfortable given the small waiting area and poor ventilation.

The mechanic took the time to show me the under side of my vehicle and explain everything about my vehicle. The work he did was great. The parking lot was clean, the waiting area was very nice, and the garage was as clean as a garage can be. I saw them sweeping and cleaning often. Im not sure if another mechanic would be the same since my mechanic has moved on to another place.

Rob the mechanic was very helpful. Seemed to have a great knowledge about cars and wanted to help me in anyway he could.

The people here are kind, understanding and genuinely just want to help. After taking my car to several places and having them lie to me and over price me, i brought it here and they walked me through exactly what was going on, gave me a very reasonable price for the problem and helped me be able to get to the work done asap, they handled my kids amazingly and offered to help in every way they could to make sure we taken care of, i will not take my car to anyone else again! I wish i could give more than 5 stars!

Because they dont do their jobs. Its almost as if they knew Im not a car guy so they explained what was wrong with my car in a long, overly complicated manner so I couldnt understand and then gave me an inflated price. They fixed my car twice and both times, they actually made it worse with their carelessness and inexperience. After the last time they tried telling me they are going to have to take apart the engine block because Nissan cars are special, I took it to gates and they straight up told me yeah, Midas was lying to you. Go anywhere else, itll be worth it and cost less in the long run.

I have been to this Midas several times in the last 5 years and always got good service. Apparently, it is under new management that is both fraudulent and deceitful. I had my leaking oil pan supposedly fixed on Saturday to the tune of several hundred dollars. I was also told that I needed my front brakes done. I have my brakes serviced at another business so I went to that business on Monday. That business told me that not only do I not need my brakes done, but my oil pan is still leaking. Midas did themselves a great disservice in changing the people who work at their Michigan Street location.

I recently relocated to the area, and had to bring my company vehicle in for scheduled maintenance right after moving. I have limited availability during the week due to a great deal of travelling for work, and needed to get in on short notice to get service.I called and spoke with Mike C., the Store Manager here, and explained my situation. He was able to take care of me on short notice, and he and his staff were awesome. They took great care of my vehicle, and even helped me get a new set of tires put on recently.I would describe both my experiences here as service excellence. I have been back there twice, and would highly recommend this location to anyone.

We love Midas for oil/filter changes and tire rotation. They always do a good job and service is quick. This past visit, the job was taking longer than its advertised (still under an hour) so we werent charged anything. That made my husbands day!

My Husband and I have been extremely impressed with the quality of service we have received at this Midas location. Rick kept us thoroughly updated and explained everything that needed to be done to get my vehicle back to being safe to drive. Two weeks ago we needed a new battery, and today we needed front brakes, rotors, tie rods, front tires, and some lights in the front of the car. Rick and Mike are friendly, honest, and professional. I am a professor and telling my students “Don’t go to this place.” I have never seen dishonest place like this shop before. Here is what happened. My car had a spongy brake. The manager said brake master cylinder is bad and should be replaced. Since he gave estimation of $990, I asked him whether all problems would be fixed after replacing the master cylinder. He said there might be another problem and couldn’t tell until it is replaced. I told him not to replace it if he couldn’t guarantee. Then he called me 7 hours later and suggested me a deal. He replaced master cylinder and all the problems were gone. Only thing left was “Scanner bleeding.” He told me to go to BMW dealership and scanner bleeding would be $90. He suggested $90 deduction. So, I paid $900 and went to BMW dealership. However, scanner bleeding was not $90 but $215. The manager gave me a wrong price quote. The worst thing is that brake is not fixed at all. Dealership told me master cylinder usually won’t go bad. I went back to Midas again and asked manager to fix it. He blamed BMW dealership and said he would not be responsible. I spent $1100 but brake is not fixed at all. I have to go to BMW dealership again and spend another thousand. I am so angry with this shop. I will update what really happened to my car, and how Midas ripped me off.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Midas, from both customer service and from the techs. They were very professional, courteous, respectful and trustworthy. They helped me with all of my needs and fixed my vehicle in a timely manner. I will definitely be going back.

I just want to post this letting you all know there may be some management issues with this company but Austin Davey is the man. He came from Benton harbor to fill in for a no call no show, took care of my problems with nothing but kindness. Can truthfully say he is the most kind and caring manager I have dealt with here at Midas. Thank you Austin!

We take our 2009 Pontiac Torrent to this Midas location on a regular basis and we have had nothing but the best service. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and I never feel like they are pushing me to make a sale for their own gain. I would high recommend this location to others.

I was in the area and desperately needed an oil change. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with great customer service. Chris was able to fit me in right away and was very accommodating. I will definitely recommend Midas in South Bend, IN to family and friends.

They supposedly supposed to fixed my oil leak. When I got my car back and started to drive it started knocking. Checked the oil and had none, really thinking about callling corporate if my car continue to knock.

This is the only place I will go. Never had a bad experience here. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Steve is the absolute best. He does a great job and I have NEVER been disappointed with his service.

Made an appt. For 9am to have oil change and new tire put on. They said they didnt have the tire on hand, but would have the tire rack send one over for the appt. Well noone ever got the tire. 3 hours waiting on a tire.

After always doing business here I will never be back.. Quoted a price over the phone for work being done of$526 and change.. walked into a bill over $675.. no where near the price quoted for the work.. sure they did a little keyboard tapping but still did not meet the price qouted over the phone.. WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE AGAIN.. NEVER

Always experience honest assessment of my vehicle for a fair price. Do a thorough job and notify me of issues with my vehicle that were missed by other garages. Good customer service.

I go in for a simple oil change on a few different occasions and every single time, without fail they always find something wrong with my vehicle that needs to be fixed by them for an outrageous price of course (imagine that).. the last time they said my truck had an oil leak, and this recent time they told me shocks were shot, now keep in mind I ignored their oil leak warning and they didn’t even mention that I had an oil leak... it’s like my truck just miraculously fixed it’s self lol... these guys are nothing more than two bit con men.

The customer service was very poor at the Michigan st. location in South Bend, IN today. The person in charge at the service desk totally didnt acknowledge me standing at the desk and seen me standing there. I needed service for my 2011 Buick Regal. After standing at the service desk for more than 15mins, i left Midas and went to Gurley Leep Ford for my vehicle service.

Where should I begin....I went to get brakes and was told I needed rotors and pad. Fine I paid for them but had to return because my brakes were not fixed as they should be (and still not). After bleeding them 3 times (and keeping it over the weekend so they could get it right. But thats not the issue....thenreal problem is that they almost cost me some major repairs because sooner didnt put the caliper bolt in and my wheel was rattling and locked up when I tried to reverse.....still waiting for them to address this issues. I called and notified Jessie but he hasnt called me back!

I could not have been happier with the staff at the Midas in Downtown South Bend. Friendly and courteous when I dropped off my car for an oil change was only the beginning. They called before noon, but I could not get away from work at lunch. I was still stuck at work at 6pm when the shop closed and I had lost all track of time. Some places would have just put the car in the garage and left me stranded to pick it up the next day. But they called me again, still cheerful, and then stayed overtime so that I could come get my car. I have brought all my cars to this shop for more than a decade. The work has always been great and I have never been disappointed. Great service in the past and Outstanding service today. Thank you to their entire staff.

Went to get my rear differential done on my truck and paid 1200$ for all new Gears They told me the back was gonna be like brand new and when I picked it up it was doing the same thing and they said it was only my driveshaft and my u joints but took it to another shop and they said I have no problems with my driveshaft or u joints all good it’s my rear differential making noise this was a three week process and it’s still at Midas I’ll try to update this with the outcome if it’s good or bad 🤨

Thank you to the whole staff at midas in south bend. I went in to get a rubbing noise checked in my brake system and all it needed was a brake cleaning. The service and repair were great and would return again.

Fantastic and helpful mechanics. I was stuck 4 hours from home due to a faulty part. (Not one supplied by Midas so they were solving someone elses problem.) They got me in with no wait, diagnosed the problem, tightened a nut that had not been installed correctly on a factory strut, and sent me on my way with no charge! Thats a real contrast to the places that look for opportunities to upsell at every turn.
