Excellent customer service experience. I grabbed pictures of the assortment of chocolates I picked up. It seems like they have designed them all to have some type of feature or shape that helpes you tell them each apart from each other. When I asked about a breakfast spot for the next day, one of the closing associates encouraged me to come back in the morning. Well, their recommendation was perfect. I had the softest bagel breakfast sandwich the next day, and was able to sit outdoors, which I appreciated. In addition to cafe seating, they have an inviting lounge area inside.

This cafe was absolutely amazing! We are from St.Louis Missouri and here for the reason of my sister being involved in a horrible car accident that she was hit head on and due to her injuries she did not make it. We walked in this cafe and felt the warmth and love that was there! The food and coffee was absolutely amazing and so worth the small trip we made for it. The staff was beyond helpful and wonderful!I want to express to the staff especially Alanna for all the help and warm words that you share with my family and I. We needed to hear those words so a big thank you to you and everyone there!

If you have a sweet tooth or not this is the place to be. Just the smell alone makes you want to stay all day. Not to mention the awesome people that work and come for coffee. Always positive always amazing. Love you SBCC

We loved the breakfast croissant! The egg and bagels are huge and delicious. The capachinno was perfect. If your looking for a new place for breakfast you wont be disappointed. Also the outside area is nicely designed to relax as is the inside setting. Dont forget the desert for later . Cheesecake and hand dip ice cream cones. We will return for sure soon.

A nice and relaxing place to chill. Fun interesting atmosphere with plenty of nooks cranies and rooms all over to choose from and find what is most comfortable to you. The bagel sandwich is amazing. I get the ham egg and cheddar with onion on Asiago with a Lake Effect coffee. Made with real white chocolate and topped with fresh foamed cream and a cherry.Parking can sometimes be a hassle finding a street spot open during the 9-5. But there is a parking garage across the street if all else fails. Or at the worst you may need to walk a few blocks.

Went to get food but I was informed the kitchen was already closed due to shot staff. It closed at 6/6:30pm on a Friday night (shop closes at 8pm). There is a convenient going on this weekend down the street so I information the staff. I hope they let their boss know. Was very sad not to eat here and hungry. Maybe tomorrow if the kitchen doesnt close too early. Ill try before 6pm.

Place is calming and relaxing, drinks are delicious, and staff is really kind.

They have such a good ambience on the inside of the shop with good smells, an awesome environment, spaciousness, and a variety of options from smoothies to coffee to alcohol to food and obviously chocolate. They even provide board games that you can play in their facility. Outdoor seating is available too. It looks like they roast their own beans although I didnt try any of their coffee. They have a lot of flavored coffee options if you are into that.

First of all, you have to try their hot lake affect mocha! It comes with a chocolate dipped spoon inside and out favorite way to cheer up rainy days. Their chocolate is devine, my personal favorite is their chocolate covered strawberries at valentines day

I enjoy every visit here..It is very calming.. they have handicapped entrance as well as a wheelchair ramp to get from one section to the next..They have a play area for kids and what appears to be a painting class.. The cheesecake here is awesome!! I love the old school candy!! They have seating outside as well.. the sandwiches are also good!! Different types of seating areas.. two areas have fireplaces and one section is open... I suggest everyone visit!!

Coffee, sandwich and ice cream shop. Lots of area to sit. Yes lots of chocolates to purchase from their counter cases or prepackaged. Their South Bend Chocolate Factory is about 10 minutes away - you can tour and also includes a chocolate store.

Its all right for eating out every now and then but I like the coffee though

The chocolate ice cream was satisfyingly chocolaty and the cookie butter was a perfect level of sweetness. Maybe a little too sweet. I wasnt that hungry when I went, but ice cream is a pretty lowkey dessert so the amount wasnt too much. Not sure if there were any lactose free options, but luckily none of us were intolerant!

A huge variety of things to eat, ice cream, cheese cake, cake, baked goods, popcorn, truffles, sandwiches, coffees and more. Portions for cake, cheese cake and baked goods is large. Items were like by all people in my group and no one had a complaint. Cool outdoor patio is a total bonus. i recommend

This is a terrific cafe. You can get pretty much anything at all that is a craving. I tried the Irish Creme Cheesecake and it was to die for. This cafe also can make your latte and/or mocha for your enjoyment. When I walked up there were two musicians playing Saxophone on the patio. How cool! If you like Jones Soda, you will definitely need to check out their collection. You can get plenty of Notre Dame coffee here as well.Say hello to the big 9 foot bear while you are in. Ask a question to Zoltar. Friendly staff. This really is a place where I would hang out regularly if I lived in North Bend! It feels warm and inviting. I say check it out.

Friendly stuff and efficient for takeout. Food quality is hit and miss sometimes but the price point is slightly lower. I got the Reuben sandwich twice and they came out very different. Once it was way too salty and half of roast beef I got last time. Inflation is coming people.

My favorite sandwich is the Cuban. If I want a sandwich, it’s the first thing I look for on a menu. Here, they had a bit of a unique take on it. The jalapeño coleslaw was simply not for me. While the standard ingredients were all very good, there was too much on the sandwich that ultimately made it a somewhat soggy mess. As a more expensive sandwich than nearby competitors, it did not really justify coming back for another one.

I love going here. The people are nice. Its a nice atmosphere. The food is good. And the vintage sodas are amazing.

Since COVID, they have reduced the number of registers accepting customers. That would be all fine and dandy, but the blonde cashier spent ten minutes speaking to a friend about her failing test scores, while a line formed mostly of elders, nearly out the door during lunch rush.Tldr: youre not getting out of there fast unless you are friends with a cashier.

If a golden retriever was a store this would be it. Everything feels so nice here and the food/drinks are good. The people working at the counter are nice and whenever me and the family go they manage to make us laugh somehow.

Its kinda expensive, but you get what you pay for. Cozy environment and their food is good too.

This place was quirky, and the coffee was fine but the place only seemed to be operating at half-capacity when we were there. Im also sad that Zoltar wasnt plugged in.

Cozy Chocolate Paradise! I was impressed with its interior plus to huge variety of sweets. It has not only chocolate and cakes but also lunch menu. Lobster Soup was great.It also has a wonderful shop with sweets and toys. I was really impressed. I had 0 expectations when I came here. Now Im thinking about going back one day.

The MEXICAN HOT CHOCOLATE has been perfected!! Used to be poorly stirred and ill proportioned. If you have never tried it you are missing out it has cinnamon and a mild spice.

Food was beyond delicious, the in-house chocolate is so smooth and creamy, live music is a wonderful touch, “Chocolate Thunder” was extremely insightful and knowledgeable for the tour. Unfortunately we arrived at 7:55pm tonight and the doors were already locked. We hoped they would let us in real quick just to get ice cream but apparently they were more interested in getting out of there.

We come here often for ice cream, chocolate, food, or just for some fun in their kids tree house play area. Its a family favorite. We love the food and the service. Their chocolate selection is excellent, theyve got quite a large selection of cakes, pastries, and ice cream, and theyve got a wide variety of coffee and other drinks to choose from. On top of the food cafe that is now attached (serving specialty burgers, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc), Bens Soft Pretzels is also connected, with candy, stuffed toys, and a fun kids play area in the back. Something for everyone!

This place is serves delicious coffee / coffee related drinks, ice cream, food, and Notre Dame branded candy / chocolates. There is a lot of tempting chocolate and candy everywhere. There is also a childrens play area and many places to sit and eat / study / meet friends. The prices here are similar to Starbucks.

I bring guests here when showing off South Bend. Its a fun place to stop in for dessert and coffee, or for lunch. It has a festive and cozy atmosphere, but still spacious enough so you dont feel too crowded. Not a bad place for studying. It seemed slightly understaffed.

I got my daughter a smoothie and muffin before therapy across the street from chocolate café she really enjoyed and loved it so thankful to all at south bend chocolate café on Kaseys face

A great staple in South Bend. Coffee, milkshakes, candy, sandwiches, and beer. This place has so much to explore at all hours.

Tried this gem out whole visiting a friend out here.Tried the iced salted caramel latte. It was on the sweeter side, but was delicious nevertheless. I also ordered a cookie that had caramel, chocolate and pecans. It was very rich and soft :) Overall, a great atmosphere, service, and product. :)

Went in for coffee and Herbert greeted me and suggested a croissant breakfast sandwich that was the best i have ever had. He was right on top of things and didnt hesitate to make sure i was taken care of immediately. I will definitely be back because of his great attitude and detail to service. You cant go wrong when you visit make sure you grab a cheesecake slice which he helped me with as well.

A tourist trap. The ice cream is the cheap kind from the grocery store, the cheesecake comes from a factory. Maybe the other things here are ok. I only go because its the only ice cream I can easily walk to downtown.

One of my favorite hang outs in all South Bend, IN! The South Bend Chocolate Cafe not only has unique varieties of coffee and hot chocolates, such as their Cherry Jubilee, but also a wonderful selection of local designer and seasonal chocolate picks. There is also a nice restaurant and kids playground indoors.This place really adds to downtown SB.

Came in to buy ice cream to go but I wanted to use the restroom first. I kindly asked the employee if they’re restrooms were open but he rudely told me I have to buy something first and they’re not public. I ended up not buying ice cream and went elsewhere . I understand it was the policy but he didn’t have to be rude about it . I just wanted to use the restroom first since I was by myself and didn’t want to take Icecream in the bathroom .

This place is one of the best places in South Bend and around the Notre Dame, Indiana area that you could attend for a affordable and delicious cup of coffee. They offer desserts and ice cream as well, along with decent list of different types of mochas, hot chocolates, and of course, coffees. I personally enjoy their hot chocolate Mocha, which always comes with a spoon, dipped in chocolate.They also have what is called The Lasalle. It is MINT, HOT CHOCOLATE....how could you go wrong with something like that!?Their food here, breakfast or lunch, is also pretty good and I would say pretty affordable.

Normally the best place for all things chocolate but today the hot chocolates we got couldnt even be called warm.
