This Big Lots store is consistently clean, well lit, and the staff is very friendly and happy to help find anything youre looking for.The new, expanded layout is a great use of space and is now as updated as the McKinley/Grape Road location. I updated this review to 5 stars because of the incredibly nice staff and the improvements in keeping the store clean and well stocked.In addition, we learned that this location welcomed people to bring their leashed, well-behaved pets in with them! This is great news, as our rescue dog goes everywhere with us! Now my husband and I have another store we can visit together with our dog, instead of one of us waiting in the car with the dog :)

Always clean and neat. Left items outside and were able to pick up later. Pretty good prices like to see more inventory on racks.

Never thought Id see the day where I had the comments at Big Lots was overpriced. Half the stuff they have I could get cheaper at Walmart. Only maybe it would be better quality. And its Walmart thats saying a lot. Simply the most shocking Discovery post covid lockdown. Hopefully its one of the stores that goes under. Not only that but it was dirty and disheveled and there was very little product to choose from. Not the Big Lots I remembered.

I really like the new Mishawaka Big Lots! Its bright and clean. They have a little bit of this and a tiny bit of that. Usually at a great price!That being said, I would like to see more merchandise type items and less (or even zero) grocery items, but thats just my personal preference. I walk right past that area and never even shop those aisles.I get the concept.... they buy lots of items from vendors looking to close out last seasons items, but it seems they are trying too hard to dabble in too many diverse areas and cannot devote much real estate or concern to any given area. And even some of those areas are too sparse. For instance, take a look at the incomplete sheets display, yet there are about a million decorative pillows. Just seems out of proportion to me.Not sure what their focus is..... are they trying to supply basic home needs? Or are they an accessory shop? Or are they a very bad eating habit grocery store? Do most people shop for Cheetos and socks and lamps all at the same store? Well if you do, go to Big Lots, because you can get them all! I realize you can do that at Meijer too, so maybe Im just being too picky.

What can I say? Big Lots is big lots. Cheap, mid grade quality merchandise.

Very dirty on the inside furniture parking lot full of holes very run down. Nicer big lot in Michigan City avoid this one.

First time in this store. Was greeted nicely and all employees were wearing face masks. The store look disheveled and was in need of a good cleaning and some major repairs in the front. Staff was nice and helpful.

Good location next to the dolla makes it almost a one stop shop.

Always worth the trip. Never know what you might find. Good prices on most items.

Customer service is unorganized. Especially compared to the Mishawaka location. Half star to south bend location.

The store has gotten worse. Their furniture is garbage and they want to charge you premium prices. Stick with the smaller items and it is fine. But do not buy furniture you are getting ripped off.

Always great deals. Spring is in the air and the summer tents and deck tables are beging set up.

My kids and I checked it out one day cause we had just missed the bus it was my 1st timing going to this location and I was amazed with all the stuff this store offered I enjoy cooking and in past 2 yrs Ive been experimenting with new and different spices I go to see if they had any and boom theres like a half a isle filled with all these spices look around the food section and theres all these kinda cooking oils electronics were a decent price I got us some ove gloves for about $10 they have cute pet outfits they even have dog socks which is good cause I got 2 dogs on top of all this the staff are awesome been in there twice since and still the staff was awesome I have already recommended it to others and will keep recommending it to others

Lot of good deals and wide assortment of products. Use desceression some of the items can be found elseware at a lower price. Check experation dates and if product has been opened.

I went here a while ago and got 2 pairs of headphones. They where cheap so I didnt expect much, but they both are really good quality, even after a months use they still work perfectly!

Enjoyed looking around. Some items were priced very well. Sad the one item I really wanted has terrible reviews and indicates store was not helpful.
