This place is fantastic. Needed diagnosis on engine suddenly idling rough and missing before a road trip in 3 days. They worked me in the next day, replaced 6 ignition coils, spark plugs and wires and had me ready by 11am the next day. I’ve previously taken my car to Mercedes of SLC on State St but a friend recommended this place and Mercedes had given me a quote of some work that needed to be done. I came here for a second opinion and was able to get it fixed for half of the price. When the work was completed he showed me the old part and explained why it needed to be changed. I was so shocked, that had never happened before. I love coming here for everything now. Not just because of the price difference but because I feel like I can trust them. I enjoy Say giving me a ride to work while my car is being worked on. He’s so sweet! Tyler checks me in and gives me a call when they know what’s going on with my car. For being someone who knows nothing about cars I feel completely comfortable coming to this shop. I highly recommend it.

3 stars since the vehicle was returned functioning but it wasn’t even werners who did all the work in the end.After reading hundreds if not thousands of reviews for different shops for sprinter van work specifically, we decided to come here. We towed our 2005 sprinter here to be fixed after it suddenly wouldn’t start. It took TWO WEEKS for a diagnosis. Parts came in and werners shop couldn’t get the computer to work so we had to pay to have it towed to the Mercedes dealership to be fixed there, THREE WEEKS after we brought it in we finally got it back. It ran fine and we didnt have any problems after, but next time I’ll just go straight to the Mercedes dealership. I was also told five days in a row ”oh they are working on it right now” but never had new information at the end of the day. I didn’t quite see how if it was getting worked on for five days straight they wouldn’t be getting any information. If you are straight up with me and say hey we are backlogged it’s going to take longer than we thought to work on your vehicle that is perfectly respectable. Not coming here next time. Also very poor follow up skills, in all those three weeks I had to call when I wanted information they maybe called me twice I recall.

Rude on the phone, I called to ask what the labor would be to replace spark plugs refused to tell me over the phone then said even though I got them from Mercedes parts he would have to use one he buys to install but still no price and that was the end of the conversation. I have multiple other items I need done but did not waste my time with someone that can’t quote simple labor for spark plug swap. Not professional.just going to the dealer.

After having plenty of shops refuse to even try to work on my car after the check engine light came on I was recommended to Werners European Auto and they were able to get my Mercedes C350s fixed up just in time for emissions. Highly recommend, great customer service.

My wife and I impulse bought a Sprinter van that had a few problems. Werners was so helpful, professional, and friendly. They were not pushy, gave me some great information, and were very affordable. I will defiantly go back if needed.

This is only my opinion. But this was not a good experience. Started with them not being ready for my car despite having an appointment. They did contact me the next day that they would work on the car. I called and left them a few messages with my number but no one would call me back. After two weeks of having my car we finally connected on what was wrong. They claimed to have the wrong number.Car needed a transmission. But the only option they would give me was all brand new for a grand total of twice the value of the car. I Spent some time researching and then had trouble getting ahold of them again. Finally after another two weeks had the car towed to another shop that found me a slightly used transmission with only a couple hours of research and 1/3 the price.Maybe this shop is good at really expensive repairs on really expensive cars. But if you need a repair on an older car my opinion is to go somewhere else. They had my car for a month and had plenty of time to get a reasonable proposal together for me. But they simply had no interest in my business unless it was for brand new everything and a mountain of labor.

The good folks at Werner’s took care of me when the belt that runs nearly everything in my Sprinter-based Roadtrek snapped and wrapped itself around several pulleys. I was far from home and they fit me in, got it done and got me back on the road expeditiously. And they did it with a can-do friendly attitude. Special thanks to the tech who set aside other work and did such a great job. They all told me that the belt had to be carefully aligned and I think they did that. I cant prove it but my lithium battery shows a higher voltage reading than at any time in the 4 years Ive owned my Sprinter Roadtrek. It could be due to the care taken by the tech. And I think Werners should become the official Roadtrek repair center for Utah. The current competition cant hold a candle to them. .

I am very happy with the service I received from Werners European, Ive brought my car here 2 separate times for different services (coolant leak and oil leak) and they took really good care of me, I haven’t had any issues since and my car is running great and I know if I have any other issues to bring my car here and I’ll be taken care of, thanks Werners European Auto!

They took us in on short notice, and fixed our problem before we came back. We were in a Mercedes Sprinter motorhome that had gone into limp home mode. It wasnt cheap. The adblue Def tank was the culprit and it was $1,200. Because it required troubleshooting the whole bill was $2,000. We knew the shop rate going in though. They were extremely friendly and Cooperative through the process because we had some unusual needs with the motorhome. Tyler and Company rocked it.

These guys are great. They’re pretty busy, not surprisingly, so if you want same-day service you should book in. They give good advice if they find something you would need to fix preemptively, but don’t pressure you. Prices are competitive but you get many decades of experience for your money. I highly recommend these guys.

My fiancé and I live out of our self-concerted Sprinter van traveling the country. We landed in SLC when our van needed it’s service so we called the MB dealership on Draper that works on vans. They couldn’t get us in for a week.(We had previously only taken our van to dealerships as it is just now over 100,000 miles.)After a quick google search, I found Werners and loved all of their great reviews. Superior customer service - cant say enough about the value of getting an ethical price on maintenance required... but Tyler and the Werners team did a great job. I have a Porsche 911, so a Mercedes repair shop is not the natural logical choice for Porsche repair, but a friend of mine said he and his father have had their Mercedes repaired at Werners for decades now, and that Werners does other types of cars. On my catalytic converter replacement, Werners saved me thousands of dollars by finding a solution that was economical. Tyler communicated with me regularly to let me know what my options were. Quality work, ethical pricing, great service!

This place was amazing and saved me when I was having Sprinter trouble during a long road trip. My sprinter went into limp mode while traveling across the country. I limped into the MB dealer who told me to just restart and continue on as most errors are minor. I tried this and the van started to smoke and spit flames from the exhaust. I called the dealer back who said to drive to St George or another dealer since they could not evaluate for at least 2 weeks. I called various other service providers in the Salt Lake area and all said it would be a few days before they could take a look at this. I needed to get to Tucson, Az within 24 hours so I was in need of help immediately. I called Werners and explained the situation they said to have it towed to them and they would scan to see what the issue was. They did not have any appointments, but would at a minimum let me know the issue and if I needed to fly to Tucson while it was being fixed. Upon arriving via tow truck, they immediately took it into the garage and found the issue. They said they could go get the part across town and get me back on the road within 4 hours! This was amazing for them to help me out when they did not have appointments, they said they knew I was on a strict time schedule and from Tucson so wanted to get me back on the road. They fixed the van quickly and I was back on the road, it ran like a dream for the 800 mile trip to Tucson. I can not thank them enough for this great service!!

Got stranded with a broken charge pipe outside of town. Dropped off the car at Werners, part wasnt available in town so they let me order an aftermarket variant and had it shipped to them. They installed it with great attention to detail and made sure it was done above and beyond the normal guidelines. Fair pricing and they were able to fix it on short notice.

My friend told me to call them as they charge much less than the Mercedes dealer. I needed Spark plugs replaced and Transmission fluids service. They quoted me over the phone 33% higher than the Mercedes dealer. Disappointing!

I cannot say enough about werners and everyone there! I live full time in my sprinter van and was having trouble with the air conditioner which was leading to other issues. The sprinter/freightliner shop in town told me they couldnt look at the van for 2 weeks. Thank goodness I found werners! They were able to help me and get me back on the road the same day!!I am so grateful to everyone there that was so kind to me and genuinely wanted to help me. I had to get to to California the next night to pick my girlfriend up from the airport and I wouldnt have made it if it werent for them.Dont even bother calling the other places around SLC that will make you wait forever to even look at your van. Call Werners and they will take care of you! My van is running smoothly now with cold AC and we are so happy to be back on the road!Thank you again so much!!

What a great shop, detail department and auto retailer as well! I wont go anywhere else. One of the few places to take your Mercedes or BMW where you can talk directly with the actual mechanic working on you car - cant do that at dealers. I called Werners with a bmw x6 that was in limp mode and needed a couple fuel injectors replaced. Their first response was I dont even want to take that on! After I had begged for a while he said you can bring it in but I have no idea on that and Im not going g to get buried in it. I called integrity automotive and explained the problem and my experience with Werners. He laughed and said no problem . They sent a tow truck to pick it up within the hr. And two days later it runs like a top!How can places like Werners stay in business when they clearly have no idea what theyre doing?

Took my E-63 here after hearing a whining noise. Was told that I needed a new power steering pump and quoted over $1K. Went for second opinion and they told me it just needed power steering fluid. Bought fluid for $25 and the problem was resolved. Go to another spot for issues they seem to only want your money.

Werners quickly fixed the convertible top on my SLK 320. However, on the way home it died. I thought it was something they overlooked. They sent a mechanic out who promptly took a look under the hood. Turned out to be the crankshafts thermal sensor ... totally unrelated. The mechanic went back to the shop, came back with a part and replaced it on the road. They even said I could call in the next day and settle the amount owed. Very excellent service!

I took a E320 for diagnostic review.... Seeing that after a few frustrating rounds of throwing parts at the issue, I could not figure what was causing my ESP to freak out and put me to limp home mode. For less than $60 I got a scan and list of issues identified. Never would I have figured out what issue really was.(Steering angle sensor) After the scan I did my own repair and fixed my car. Werners was very accommodating and understood the pride I have in fixing my own issues but enabled me to do so.The shop was polite and sincere at each interaction. If You own an import from Europe.. Werners is your best bet for a quality repair.

Werners always does a great job and when applicable, I refer them. My one complaint about this service and one done last summer (same issue) is my car was left in the hot sun, which I know cant always be avoided. However, the technicians must have opened the sun roof and upon closing it, neglected to manually shut the inside cover, so the sun was BLAZING not only through the windshield, but through the glass of the sun roof. When I got it, the seat was so hot it burned the back of my legs. Thankfully I had a towel in the back and was able to cover the seat. I needed to move my car to transfer some things from my rides trunk to mine. When I opened the door, the metal handle on the door was so hot I burned my fingers. My suggestions to the technicians are these: if you open the sun roof, be sure to close the interior cover, and if there is a windshield sun shade in the vehicle, which there was in mine next to the passenger seat, please take a few extra seconds and put it in place. Thank you.

Been using Werners since 1978 with Werner himself right up to today with the current owner. Never disappointed, always satisfied. Bought my current Mercedes from Werners and I love it.

When I moved to Salt Lake I tried a couple of other shops that advertised that they worked on Mercedes or foreign cars. One was close to my home. But once I found Werners Mercedes I never considered going any place else. I trust then completely with my car!

Great Service, very honest opinions. I felt that I was treated right and things I wanted to get fixed did. I also appreciate the insights on other probelms that were able to being solved. They KNOW Mercedes inside and out. Ive owned my Mercedes for 3 years, been to other auto shops, and this is the ONLY one I trust and in piece of mind. Price is a little hefty, but than again its a Mercedes brand so cant compalin there. Thanks For Everything Werners.Only thing that wish was fixed was my transmission slipping, but thats only possible with a transmission rebuild which is about $2500. So maybe that will have to wait.

Came to Salt Lake City with high stress due to car problems and as a result of finding Werners Mercedes we are ready to continue on our way with confidence. On our way through Salt Lake City our check engine light went on. We called Werners at 3:00 pm and Tyler suggested an appt for 9 the next day but when we explained we had to leave the next day he said to come right over. 15 minutes later we were at Werners and the problem was diagnosed and fixed in less than an hour and a half!The shop was busy and full but Tyler made time to show us what was wrong and what should be addressed when we got home. Hello,I own a 2011 GLK350, which was serviced at MB of Salt Lake CIty its all life. After warranty expired, I though I would shop around for shops that will maintain my vehicle for same or hopefully less money, try to find a trusted shop/mechanic (like we all want) ...... Talked to a guy (possibly mechanic or owner, not sure) for 10-15min of what im looking for and what was already done to my car. He promised that he does work cheaper and beter than MD of Salt Lake City. That didnt happen.My car required a Service B (Oil change, cabin filter, air filters, wipers, fill up liquids, and a whole lot of checking things).MBofSLC = $499+tax for A and B service (2 years of service) (A service alone = $220ish + tax)This place = $440 for B service only (no new wipers, no new air filters, not sure about cabin filter (Im pretty sure they did not change that either) ... I say not sure, because the guy I talked to said they only replace stuff if they think it needs to be replaced (but it looks like they still charge you for it), and I didnt check the cabin filters after service.I just had a way better experience at MBofSLC and it was cheaper. BTW, I have K&N filters in my car, and service B includes changing those. MBofSLC would give me a box of new filter (that I paid for with Service B) and these guys did not, they kept them for them selves but still charged me for them.There was other things that happen too, just do not feel like writing about them.Anyway, just my 2 cents about this place, will not go there again. Happy mechanic shopping :)

Heres my story.First of all, you and I both know that a car needs ongoing care and service. Getting a car (whether it is used or brand new) is the start of a relationship between you, the vehicle, and your mechanic. When you bring in the vehicle for routine care or a problem, you MUST trust the people you are dealing with, and have complete confidence in their knowledge.My relationship with Werners began several years ago when I called and asked for advice about a Mercedes I was considering. They took the time to tell me what to expect. Six months ago, I was looking at what I thought was a really nice BMW 540i. The Werners service team went through the car carefully, and I learned that it would be a mistake to buy it. That was the best money I have spent in a long time.I was on the hunt for a vehicle, and called Werners several times, asking about this or that. They were always helpful. During one of those calls, Tyler mentioned I have a really nice car you might want to take a look at. Boy howdy!I now own a beautiful S430 4-Matic. It was ten years old, but immaculately maintained. It fit my budget perfectly, and is a pleasure to drive. After driving it for a couple of weeks, I found a couple of small things that needed attention -- I brought it in, and no questions asked, they made it completely right -- they even gave me a new keychain. It was an excellent experience.One final thing you should know ... my wife is a hard-nosed New Yorker, and has a show me attitude. To say she was not a big fan of our getting a Mercedes is an understatement. After the experience we have had Tyler, Jeff, Ron, and Lindsey, she said, I dont think I would ever go anywhere else to buy a used car. That goes double with me.
