I have to share my bad experience taking my Focus RS here for $7,000 worth of repairs after initially having a positive experience for something more minor. I needed to have my front bumper replaced after a collision and the service I received was unacceptable.The paint match on the new bumper wasnt bad but it was covered in swirl marks. Even worse, they forgot to paint the part that connects under the hood and is very much a part of the presentation of the engine bay. Victor, the manager gave me some BS about how that part comes molded from the factory and they dont paint it because it gets too hot in the engine bay and will flake. However, I checked when my engine was at full temp on a hot day and it was barely even warm to the touch. I brought it to another body shop and they said the part should have definitely been scuffed and painted but it was going to take over $1,000 in labor for them to do it now because they would have to remove the whole cooling system to get the part out (which is why Victor didnt want to re-do it when I brought it back).On top of all that, there was a huge gap between the hood and front bumper that Victor said couldnt be improved and that he looked at a Focus ST and the gap was no different. The other body shop found a screw hold inside that needs to be re-threaded to fix the gap but apparently Victor didnt want to bother with this either.Learned the tough lesson to avoid dealer body shops at all costs. My car still is not what it was before the accident and its going to cost me an arm and leg to get it back on top of my insurance going up $50 a month because of the damage.
