Amazing. Honest and fair. I heard him turn down business they didnt specialize in and refer to someone else. He ordered a part he thought he might need and didnt end up needing and sent it back with no spin. Rated importance of the repairs i needed since money was an issue for me. No scare tactics unlike some others. The work they did was quality with no cheap replacement parts. Prices more than reasonable, came in under estimate a couple times even. Cant say enough good things. I wont go anywhere else as long as hes an option.

Needed advice & help installing a new license plate holder w/key box. Even though Tom, the owner, was busy, he was able to attach the license plate holder to the car. There is no way that I could have done it without Toms help. Sadly, this Friday will be his last as he is retiring. So, if you need any work done on your car, better get in there. Although, Leo will be taking over & he is not only an excellent mechanic but very personable. Im sure the shop will be in good hands. Although, I will miss Tom.

Great place to take your car, even if its older. I have a 92 civic and It was making a weird noise, they figured out it was just my alternator belt. Super affordable prices and great polite staff. Had it fixed by the next day.

Easily a top notch busines! Leo recently helped with a squeaky belt issue a few months after having them do a timing belt and other maintenance. A quick adjustment and I was out the door in 30 minutes. These guys continue to be a reliable shop and the only shop Ill take my Saab-aru to.

This shop is honest and professional. I first went to Lithia Reno Subaru and was completely ripped off and lied to. But Leo from Preferred Auto Care was very honest and upfront with their schedule yet completed my repair in the promised timeframe. And their pricing was much more reasonable than the dealership! I strongly recommend this shop. I would not go back to the only dealership in town. They are absolutely horrible.

Did a great job on repairing my Tacoma

My vehicle is a 2004 Toyota 4Runner. I had an issue with a leaking transfer case, something that is relatively common with that year. I did a lot of research and decided to replace the transfer case. I found a good used replacement online and had it delivered to me and then researched local companies that could do the work. After a quick phone call to Preferred I decided to have them do the work. They got me in immediately and performed the work expertly. I recommend them without hesitation.

Well... they told us that it wasn’t our rear main seal. Come to find out it is, then they told us it be (a lot of money) to fix something we appearently didn’t need fixed. This was after they had us spend 85 to clean it, for no reason...everything we were told from another mechanic they said the opposite. The other machanic was able to steam clean it, and told us it be 300 total. Instead of 1500. +85 referral. Glad we didn’t trust these people. We would of given them all that money and still have the car not fixed. (Insert major eye roll here) .

Toms awesome. Good mechanics that you can trust. Definitely focuses on what they advertise but if you have a Honda, toyota, or Subaru theres no one better in town

Tom was my point of contact for preferred auto care and he was very courteous and straight forward. They had my Honda fixed in two days time when the Honda dealership themselves couldnt figure out the problem (a worn CV joint). I would recommend this place.

If you have a problem with your car, I would really recommend to go to Preferred Auto Care. An alternator was broke down in my car, but they fix it for couple hours. Also, they found more problems what my car had and fixed them. They did great job. In addition, I appreciate Tom for great personality. We have been using Acura preferred for over 10 years and they have been fantastic. I needed a second car and ask them to check a vehicle out I found on Craigslist and for a small fee they did. They informed me it would take about$1800.00 more in repairs for that used vehicle after the owner said there were no issues. We also had a new truck and took it to them to recheck a dealerships job. They found the dealership failed to complete their job so we took it back to the dealership since it was still under warranty. This was something that might have gone unnoticed however this shop has excellent mechanics.If you want reliable work done and you own the cars they specialize in you will not be disappointed.

Tom and the crew at Perferred Auto Care are my go to shop for all things big and small with my Toyota. They specialize in Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Acura, and Subaru vehicles and know their requirements well. I have had them perform basic oil changes and more advanced work to new struts and fixing a power steering leak. Recently I was on a long trip and the wheel bearing went bad very quickly and they were able to squeeze me in that next day even though I didnt have an appointment. These guys are good, so for routine maintenance you will most likely need to make an appointment, but they also have helped me out when something has failed and needs immediate attention.

I owned Honda’s for many years starting in 1989. I began taking my 1989 Accord to the dealer for maintenance & service and was very satisfied. Then I ran across Preferred Auto and I was hooked.First and foremost Tom (Owner) was so laid back and easy going which is rare in this industry. Secondly, I compared prices between Preferred & the dealership and the difference was amazing. Honda had a menu board back then displaying their prices for their 15,000, 30,000 up to 90,000 mile services but Preferred beat them hands down. I will venture to say that Honda’s pricing was almost double that of Preferred and the service was just as good, or better.I haven’t owned a Honda in ten years bc my job mandates I use a truck. My youngest son owns a Subaru and has continued the family tradition of using Preferred Auto Care for repair & maintenance.I’ve owned:1989 Accord LX1990 CRV1994 Honda Del Sol1996 Accord EX2004 Honda CRVNot once in all my Honda owning days did Preferred Auto Care ever do me wrong. And I believe that they never will.

Dependable auto care at a fair price!

I called to ask how much it would be to flip/ grind down my rotors. They quoted out $230. Just for the 2 front ones. Pep boys only charges $100, and Ayres only charges $32. Seems like this place is well overcharging.

They know their stuff, reliable, honest. If you have a honda, toyota, or Subaru, go here before you try anywhere else.
