A lot of the recent reviews I see seem very negative about this store. I Definitely recommend a visit to this store#. Two months ago, I moved to town from Phoenix, AZ and Ive been visiting AutoZone stores since I was in Texas.Prior to stopping by I had taken my car in for an oil change for my trip to California in the next couple of days. As my car was in the shop, I was told that I needed a bulb replacement on my drivers side rear view brake light, which the mechanic shop didnt have any on shop so I figured Id give an AutoZone a chance and purchase the item if they helped me install it as I am barely able to reset my oil life guage when mechanics forget to do that after servicing my car, or my radio tuning when a battery is changed in my car. Plus I didnt have a screen driver with me since I had just left the mechanic shop before stopping to AutoZone around 6pm.From the moment I walked into the store by myself( I am quite a petite person), I was greeted by a store employee (in such a friendly tone--making me feel so welcome as I was by myself) who was helping someone else about how he would be right with me. Before he got to help me another nice gentlemen who had just rang out a customer ahead of me asked if he could help.The employees sound very professional, customer service oriented, and just work so great as a team. This was all in the span of less than 3 minutes from the moment of having stepped into the store and walked up to the line section at the counter.After being helped to find my item and describing the difference in the list of options that were in stock, which I was so grateful for, because I would hate to have a tacky brightness difference in bulb intensity in my brake lights, the employee(Salvador) grabbed a screen driver and some other tools that I have no idea what they were called, and helped me install the item. You could tell he was experienced and comfortable taking apart the pieces to the light frames, unscrewing all the bolts holding the frame together and having a genuine conversation with me as I stood next to him in this early freezing weather that Reno has compared to Phoenix around this time of the year.I dont understand why the customer reviews are so negative at this store, AutoZone seems to be pretty responsive in the reviews. And in those 3 minutes that I waited, the conversation details that I overheard employees having with other customers being assisted as I stood in the line, in my opinion were very knowledgeable. The prices were also pretty reasonable ranging from $10.00 to $21.00 for rear brake-light bulbs for my car.

This was my first time here and I found the store to be clean and well organized. The staff was friendly and helpful. Thats a refreshing 180° difference compared to the competition across the street.Ill definitely be back here next time Im needing auto parts. I did automotive electrical for 30yrs. Im a little picky.

I liked it that the store was open at 6AM - really convenient. The battery I bought was way too expensive though. The employees were very nice ; but, they were not real knowledgeable. Rated 3 1/2 stars

Waited in love for 20 mins and the associate said he couldnt look up the stock tire size. ISNT THAT WHAT THE COMPUTER YOU HAVE ACCESS TO IS USED TO FIND!? Terrible...

Traveling across the country from Nebraska and our car started acted strange in Lovelock. We called Auto Zone on a Sunday at 6:00 and they were still open! They told us to come there when we got into town and they would check everything out. They were super helpful and got us on our way again!

I had been having major car issues and have been so very stressed. Mike from the E Prater Way in Sparks was absolutely wonderful.. He checked under my hood to verify I had the correct parts necessary to replace my battery. He was extremely friendly and helpful. Even when I move out of Sparks I will continue visiting this location due to his exceptional customer service.

Avoid this place. I bought a car battery on the presumption that they will install it. But when its time for the battery to be installed,the guy that went with me to my car says that it cannot be installed for some reason he only can understand. So i left without the battery being installed. Later that day i went to another store and in 10 minutes the battery was installed. The people at Auto zone in Praeter Way Sparks are all b s. They just wanted your money. Beware and avoid this place.

Very helpful and nice associates. Helped us check our battery/alternator free of charge. Will keep coming here for all future car items. Highly recommend you check the website, they often have coupons on there!

Wow, if could give zero I would or negative. I just experienced something never thought would happen. I went looking for spark plug, waited in line at counter for 5 minutes, one customer being helped ahead of me. Heard several voices in back, chatting, yucking it up. No help. I see guy stocking shelves and went over and asked him about plug I had in my hand, his first day, so no blame there. He goes to gal, that was spoke broken english asked her. She goes to 2 other shelves looking, neither of them knew what a spark plug was! OMG.. Then she looks up on computer, after trying one that does not work. So I am in 10-15 mins now. She finds it and it says not available. ok. THEN MR Mask MGR walks out, does a cross reference does not say a word to me, just loads on screen, points and walks away. She wastes another 5 min trying to figure it out. THEN goes to look for it, with NO help from SUPER MASK MGR.. I finally walked out, will NEVER go there again and STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Was quickly given excellent help, was offered/given a tool needed to accurately identify what item i was in need of, was in and out very fast!

Always understaffed and long lines both at the parts counter and at the check out. The staff looks overwhelmed and frustrated. I worked for autozone 15+ years ago as a parts manager and I still know how to use there computers and look up parts needed better that 95% of the employees working no matter what Autozone I go to. Customers beware! I hear employees giving misleading or misleading diagnosed information on car repairs that is way incorrect or misleading and can cause a lot of frustration, wasted time and mostly wasted money on parts that WONT FIX YOUR VEHICLE WITHOUT BEING PROPERLY DIAGNOSED by a certified and trained professional mechanic like myself. Anyone can replace part if you can turn a wrench, the professionals with ASE certifications will provide accurate and correct repairs, thats why we are certified! As far as customer service its slim pickings with Autozone. The district manager needs to take a look at this continuing problem and take actions to improve the quality of service and the amount of time it takes to shop here

This visit allowed a great experience while handling a crowded store Once finally up to the check out the Attendant was very friendly.

Had to change my fuel filter on my ranger pickup brought the filter and it took a specialty tool walked me down the aisle said here you go got back to house and realized it was wrong tool it was for the transmission lines and coolant lines

Got my car computer read and was fixed and found the problem.

Horrible service the person who attended is was rude and grumpy.

They have a pretty wide selection at this store compared to all the others. The managers are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to super specific parts on cars, especially older ones. It can get pretty busy during the weekends though and most midday so there can be a wait!

Winter is here, they were very busy but they had pleanty of help and the line went quickly. Great jib!

Yesterday, I went in to get my battery replaced with minimal knowledge on the subject. Jason was incredibly helpful, understanding, and really went the extra mile during their free battery installation with my notoriously difficult vehicle. I really appreciated how easy he made the entire experience for me.

Definitely a nice location and always easy to grab what you need if youre in a hurry. Employees are usually very knowledgeable. Make sure you get their rewards card; if youre here even once a month your purchases add up.

Great stop. Found what we needed, and got pointed to the right part when we were just a little off. Knowledgeable staff. I didnt catch her name, but the woman with long blonde hair in a low ponytail last night knew what we needed before we did.

I picked out parts on the website, did the local store search. 590 Prater Way showed parts in stock. Purchased on line, I didnt receive a pick up email by the following morning. I could have shipped to home as usual but needed the parts immediately. I drove to the store, they did not have the parts. I told the manager I wouldnt have purchased on line and drove across town if the parts were not in stock. The one star is for the punk manager that treated me like it was my own fault for what transpired. Went across the street to the OTHER GUYS (which I recommend) and they showed the parts in stock down the road at the next store. Guess what? They had them at the same price. Autozone has graduated to the Last Resort category. Wasted an hour on their website ordering parts, wasted and hour and fuel to drive across town only to be insulted.

Helpful and knowledgeable in there products. Actually knowing what your talking about is very important.. and this was the case. Only draw back was I bought a tool that was broken but I was able to return it no problem and no questions asked.

Went in to pick up some items and thought there were multiple lines to pay. Was very rudely told that there was only one line by a off duty employee. Unless this establishment lets random people go behind the counter and fill out paperwork.

My friend made a poor choice to work on his vehicle outside the AutoZone on Prater. The gentleman who handed my return this morning at 9:30 was a delight. The rest of guys there clearly didnt know anything about power steering pumps. The also clearly advertise a free loan a tool program. Asking for one was like willing off your 1st born to Satan. They were rude, demeaning and unknowledgeable of the products and services they carry. Never had an issue like this back east. Fast and friendly service with a smile and if they didnt know something, they didnt bs me.

Good store, ask for Chris is you ever need help he is the most laid back guy there.

Quick and easy layout to find items

This location is always unnecessarily crowded. I say unecessarily, because Ive not seen any of the other locations this crowded. There is always a line. When you do get to the front, the staff is usually helpful.

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced in an auto zone. The employees dont have any sense of direction, would rather BS on the Phone or be in the back than help out a customer thats been waiting in line along with the other 10 paying customers waiting to check out.

Been here twice, found what I needed and could get no help at the counter. I probably could have walked out of the store with the merchandise as nobody was at the counter or I was not acknowledged. I waited and then left the stuff on the counter and left. Will not be back. There are too many auto parts stores in the same block that will help me.
