I never do reviews but what was done to me at Ulta needs to be known! I made an appointment for a haircut. I got booked with Quanaysia. I simply asked for a shoulder length haircut and asked her to thin out my hair a little and this is what she did to my hair to thin it out!!!! I’ve cried and i cant get over how a “hairstylist” can chop hair like this and think this is ok!!!!!!!!! I noticed my hair was way too thin when i got to my car and as soon as i got to work my coworker saw what they had done to me. I immediately went back and spoke with the hair salon manager! All the manager could do is look at me is disbelief and returned my money. I got no kind of sympathy from her! I cant put my hair up at all because she chopped the majority of my hair off !!!! I am seriously considering suing this place!! I feel violated and humiliated!!

I havent worn makeup in years but I wanted to start wearing it. I was really nervous because I didnt know what to look for or what shades would work for me or how to apply it. I also wanted to make sure that all of the products I bought were 100% vegan and cruelty-free.When I walked into the store I already felt overwhelmed but one of the associates greeted me immediately and asked me if theres anything she could help me with. I told her that I needed help with everything.This associate was very helpful and showed me everything that I was looking for and helped me figure out what would look good on me. She didnt rush me and she was very patient and answered all of my questions. Im very glad that I chose to go to Ulta today. I came out with a lot of wonderful products that Im excited to try!

My granddaughters first blowout by Quanaysia Bracey . This is one of the happiest experiences we have had. Quanaysia is great, not only at doing hair she has a pleasant personality. My granddaughters hair is extremely curly, Quanaysia did a blowout with what looked like such ease. I have never seen my granddaughters hair look at beautiful as it is today. Thank-you Quanaysia, not only for the beautiful hair, also for making us feel so welcome. This means a lot to a young lady that is already a little nervous because it is her first time in a salon.Quanaysia did such a wonderful job with my granddaughters hair I made an appointment for myself. She also gave us helpfuf tips on how to keep this style pretty.I must also say the employees at Ulta beauty as always were kind, and eager to help had we needed it.I recommend Ulta beauty for make up, perfumes, and such. Clean environment, well stocked, clean restroom.I recommend the hair salon, and Quanaysia for all your hairs needs .She is extremely talented.

I went here last Friday morning to find some foundation. I was helped by Kai (I think that was his name if I remember correctly). He was very friendly, sweet to everyone, and above all, very helpful. I love my new foundation and he color matched it perfectly to my skin. Thanks, Kai!

Love Ulta you can get Ll your hair products...and must more there great place to stop in ..

So we placed an order on Ulta.com, some of the times were in stock at a local store so my wife had to split the other. I don’t understand this why not let her pick up what’s available and ship the rest out. So the separated the order pick up what was in and began waiting for the rest to come in the mail. We get an email that it was delivered in our mailbox, we kept waiting never got the rest of the order. Emailed customer service and they asked us to confirm shipping address, we did my used the button for shipping and billing the same, they got the address right for billing but shipped the product to a former address we lived at 8 yrs ago. I continuously get the same email message with a different employee over and over again that they are sorry but won’t make the order right. Same message over and over word for word except one day it’s from Karen, one day it’s from Jessica over and over. No one will explain how they got the billing address right and the shipping address wrong. Go figure the items we did pick up that day are being returned and we will never do business with them again!

Got jack black daily facial cleaner. Always get their products here. Reasonable prices.

Great selection of products! Many products are reasonable priced. They carry a lot of name brand cosmetics that the department stores carry, but at a lower price. There own Ulta brand products, like shower gel, are also cheaper than big box retailers. They also have a section for mens products and a large selection of candles and perfumes/colognes. Check online for coupons before you shop there. Also, sign up for their emails so that you will know about sales.

I like ultra and their products but I received no customer service when I walked in. There were plenty associates on the floor and nobody offered to help me. I was looking at lashes and an associate was helping someone else right beside me, and she didn’t acknowledge that I was there and walked around me with the other customer without saying hi or excuse me. I really didn’t appreciate it. She could have at least said I will be with you in after I’m done with this customer if you need anything or something.

Sue was so patient and kind at checkout today! I love her outgoing helpful personality. She always greets people with warmth and is so easy to chat with! She is an amazing asset to this store.

I was denied a cash payment of $5 because of the rips (the bill was still intact and readable) but other stores have taken bills the same way. The amount of embarrassment i felt will never go away. The cashier was lovely but who ever she was asking about the bill to was not so nice. I don’t think I’ll be back. Also, I’m sure the customer on the phone with the other lady heard it all.

I love Ulta! Its one of my favorite stores but....the cashier was RUDE AF!! This was the second time this has happened at this location. Complaining about customer service is not something I ever do but I came out of Ulta tonight angry at how rude they were. Especially when I am spending so much money there!!!!

Good selection but no one even addressed me to see if I needed help. Which I did but I ended up leaving with nothing because I struggle with interacting with people. For a makeup newbie, I dont know much about products. It just would have been nice to have some help.

Arielle gave me a fantastic haircut today! She was very personable and clearly she loves what she does, shes good at it too. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone. The store overall is also very clean and organized, and the people who work in the main part of the store have been super helpful every time Ive been there.

It’s rare that you’ll find a store that will not argue when they are wrong, this location earned my respect when they knew something was wrong and still ended up giving us a discount! Would recommend a visit

I had a great experience today with Amelia. (Clinique) She was so friendly and helpful. She answered all of my questions I had about different products. I asked her if she could help me find the correct shade in foundation. She took her time in trying to find the right shade for me. I was so thankful for her since I had had an awful experience the night before with another associate. Amelia changed my negative experience the night before into a wonderful experience today. Thank you so much Amelia. I will definitely be returning to see you soon.

I love this Ulta location, I can always find someone super helpful. I went in a few months ago looking for a new foundation and the associate was kind enough to do a demo on my face for me along with a few other products to give them a try. She was so helpful for this girl that is a little lost when it comes to make up! Get the Ulta card too, super helpful towards future purchases! ;)

I made an appointment to get my hair dyed and it was 10/10 my best salon experience. It was more expensive than I thought it would be but my stylist (Jordan) did an awesome job and really knew her stuff. I’d recommend Ulta for anyone serious about getting their hair done. The staff is incredibly professional and the service is worth the cost.

I called to ask if they took payments with a debit card in store and was told yes we take debit, cash and check I drove 30 minutes, got to the store, waited in line, and told the girl I was there to pay my bill and she said we dont take payments in store, its all online I got annoyed and said I had just called to ask and was told I could. She proceeded to say That was you? I thought you were talking about making a purchase 🤦‍♀️ Just wow. Who would call to ask if they could BUY things in any STORE?I left without making the scene I wanted to.Otherwise I love the store. Ive had some very sweet, helpful, individuals make me feel beautiful.

When asking a question to an employee their response was “walk and talk baby I’m busy.” - Almost walked right out the door but decided to ask someone else because I really wanted a specific product. The next person was a lot more helpful..that’s the only reason I’m leaving 3 stars. Date was 2/29/20 and I was there around noon.

I am not a huge makeup person so going to Ulta is a bit scary for me until I met Mercedes. Instantly she put me at ease and took time to explain the different foundations and concealers the store offered in addition to kindly making sure I chose the correct shades for my skin tone. An hour later I walked out totally confident in my purchase. Thank you Mercedes for making my shopping experience wonderful. Customer for life!!!

My new favorite foundation is Estee Lauder double wear and would have never known it would work for me if they didnt tell me about it because of my specific needs (oily, acne) always please leaving here except for spending too much money!

I just wanted to share the experience I had at this location. Though it was not my first it was my second. My first was in Bristol Tn. And I was not pleased at all. I ended up taking back the make up I had purchased. The ladies there were rude and just not customer oriented I was then convinced to give this location a try. And lets just say the ladies that were working both nights I went in which was 2/16 and 2/17 were amazing! I was greeted the very moment I entered unlike the other location. I was also assisted with help due to I was shopping for a foundation that matched my skin tone. The lady that assisted me was amazing! I believe her name was Elaine but they called her Lani. Even though the store was closing soon she sat me down and discussed my skin type along with what I was looking for. We found a perfect match but I was still hesitate. I didnt want to buy an expensive brand and not like it so she offered a 10 day sample. Which was awesome because Im very indecisive when it comes to spending money on quality items such as make up. It was definitely worth giving Ulta another shot before going to sephora. I am very pleased with both purchases and will be back for more purchases in the future.

This was my first time having any skincare treatments done there, I had a 10 minute facial as well as an extraction done and it was amazing! Sam was so knowledgeable about the products as well as issues that I was having with my skin. She talked me through everything she was doing and made me feel so comfortable. I also had my haircut done which Ive been going there for about a year with Amanda and she is great! She asks me how I want my haircut and if I dont like something fixes it right away, she does a great job always.

I got my eyebrows done and a haircut.Im only giving them a 4 since there was only one or 2 associates in the store and since it was my first time there I expected them to help me but they didn’t so I had to stand and wait until I finally got to interrupt the hair stylist.Either way, the eyebrow person was fantastic and did a fantastic job on my brows, also the hair stylist was awesome and did a great job. The only negative on the hair was the conditioning treatment that I paid extra for. It made my hair feel and smell awful. I would not use that service again. Overall not a bad experience.

I’ve gone to Kelsey for my brow tinting a couple of times now — and she is phenomenal. Talk about a glow up! She takes her time to make sure that your brows are perfectly tinted and shaped! I couldn’t recommend a better person to do your brows (and I’ve tried many cosmetologists). She made my blonde eyebrows look natural and full. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I am so grateful!

I’m a total beginner when it comes to makeup and I went to Ulta on a recommendation from someone who told me they’d be able to help me find what was best for me in terms of shades, process, etc. I stepped inside and was immediately overwhelmed by all the brands, tools, and shades, so I found an associate who sat me down and began applying primer and foundation (she didn’t tell me which shades/brands they were, come to think of it). When I brought up my price range, she stopped what she was doing and directed me to the other side of the store (where I guess the cheaper things are) leaving me on my own. That might have been fine for people who know what they want/are looking for but I left only a few minutes later, feeling frustrated that I’d gone specifically for help - any help - and wasn’t able to receive it. I likely won’t be back.

I am so disappointed and disgusted with this store. I have worked in retail for many years and the customer always comes first. That is good customer service! My daughter has been wanting the James Charles palette since before Christmas. I have been patiently trying to obtain one. Today is her 11th birthday. I called last week and missed the shipment, called yesterday for an employee to tell me they were expecting maybe up to 5 in today’s shipment. They can not hold one. They told me to be there first thing when they opened I sent my husband he waited, was the first one in the door and was then told they were sold out? My husband questioned this and explained that I was told to come in this morning. She then replied well we got 1 and an employee bought it. I know for a fact with other friends working for Ulta, the employees were not allowed to buy this stock out when a shipment came in. This is a disgrace, unethical and unfair! I will not shop at this store again! These employees are most likely buying and reselling these for a profit!

My wife came in and received excellent customer service from Mercedes. She was eager and more than wIlling to help her find something and show her options. I consulted with a hairstylist at ulta today, told her how my hair grows straight out and how its very difficult to manage. I asked her if she has experience with ethnic hair and she said she has many ethnic clients, so I trusted her. On top of that she expressed no concern when I told her how my hair sticks up and that made me trust her even more. So, I decided to let her cut my hair. I picked out a picture I wanted and I told her I trusted her. She can do whatever she wanted because I do not understand hair. As she was cutting my hair I started noticing my hair doing what it always does(sticking up), but I was confident she knew what she was doing. I was thinking to myself just let her do what she needs to do to get it like the picture I had picked out. Well my hair didnt come out like the picture and was sticking up badly on the sides. I told her what the problem was and she started telling me how, short hair doesnt work on you. Meanwhile Im thinking in my head, okay so did you know this beforehand or are you just a bad hairstylist?But i wasnt mad or anything I understand mistakes happen. The main reason why Im writing this review is because when she mentioned, well, you picked this hairstyle and how short haircuts just doesnt work on you. I started feeling terrible. I knew she was trying to put the blame on me. She then proceeded to ask me what she should do to fix it as if its up to me now to get it how I want it. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Long story short I basically paid money today to get a bad haircut and got blamed for it being bad. Not only that, It was also extremely unprofessional the way she responded to my concern with the results of my hair. It makes me question if ultas hairstylists are actual hairstylists and unfortunately I will not be going back.

Cashier was not helpful when I asked for assistance about a product. I had a 20% off coupon in an email and she was persistent on telling me I’ve already used it. I don’t shop at Ulta, I shop at Sephora. But apparently applying 20% is a huge deal, my honesty didn’t matter. This is exactly why I shop at Sephora.

I have found that some of the employees in Spartanburg SC store are not helpful if you call at all. I have been told they didnt have things that showed up online available at the store and went to check and had one girl say she couldnt find it and I showed a picture to another person at the register and they went and got exactly what I wanted. I also sometimes go to the Greenville SC store and call first and they are always friendly and helpful.

I don’t know how ultas return policy is but I went to buy a cologne today and the last one they had in the size I wanted was not even wrapped in plastic and when I asked why at the register the girl was acting like I was dumb for asking why it was open... like who wants to buy and opened returned cologne. Also they didn’t even mention the free gift and when I asked she rudely said “ we are all sold out have a nice day”. What great customer service! Ha

After the truly horrific eyebrow waxing experience l endured on the Eastside of Spartanburg...the absolutely phenomenal care and attention l received on the Westside at Ulta Beauty provided a warm, welcomed and much needed calm after the storm.

I mostly shop online, but either way, ULTA is my go-to for nearly all of my cosmetics/toiletries. I used to order through another popular store but S just doesnt offer the selection that ULTA does. I use a variety of products and get anything from drug store brands to high-end brands in one place! Love it!!!

I recently went to ULTA and had such a great experience with the salon.They booked me an appointment exactly when I needed it for, and were very happy to comply with what I needed done.I want to definitely BRAG on a certain stylist by the name of ARIEL.She was very accommodating to me and very gracious when I met her.She is my new found stylist and I feel blessed to have found her!If you are looking for a great salon, GO TO ULTA in Spartanburg they are all talented people who really care and cater to your every needs.

They also have a superior collection of beauty tools for hair, face and body. Best Ive seen anywhere. Even the Ulta brand cosmetics/beauty tools are excellent quality. Products are all nicely & neatly displayed making it easy to find what you need. Super friendly & helpful employees too.

I love this store, everyone seems to be very helpful.The employees keep the store clean and the testers nice so you can see if the product is right for you.The employees also help out a lot and are very knowledgeable about makeup and also dont judge you if you arent wearing makeup at the time.I wish they got in more Punky color options though and more semi perm hair dye.Other than that this store is clean, has Morphe, has punky colors and all my favorite makeup.
