I took my 04’ Silverado here to get the diagnosis on my transmission problem and John Hedger the manager and his team gave me an all around diagnosis not only on the transmission but other sensors that were bad on the motor. Needless to say they fixed the whole truck at an affordable price while maintaining the utmost professionalism when ever I called to check on the progress and updates on the new transmission. John was so good to work with and I would recommend his shop to anyone. I have been driving my truck long distance for work the past couple days before this review and it runs and drives like new. Kuddos to his awesome crew. If you’re reading this review, I hope it makes up your mind to not pass up on this good all around vehicle service center. They don’t just do transmissions. They do everything right the first time and treat you great all the time.

I sent my 2001 dually, 1 ton in because I had been having some issues while towing my horse trailer. The tech took it out 3 times and couldnt make it misbehave. It wasnt running any codes. I had been told by a different mechanic that my fluids all needed to be replaced, they said they were fine, and that I dont need to spend the $$! I am thankful for this shops honesty and integrity.

John at Aamco was fantastic! My 04 Diamante left me stranded on the highway and they even set me up with a tow. They figured out what was the problem, rebuilt my transmission, replaced the trouble parts and got the last Diamante in town back on the road. They even helped with financing and set me up with a 12 month same as cash deal to make make the repairs totally affordable. If you need transmission work and you love your car let John and his team take care of you right! ;)

John was helpful and honest about the length of time it would take to get to my car. Fortunately, my car only required servicing not a whole new transmission. Grateful for that!

4 stars for their Great Work and they saved us thousands by not having to buy a New transmission as repairing the current one was easily do-able for $650. But they didnt get the 5th star because I had to sell it (5th star) to pay the $630 (final cost) repair bill. Haha... just trying to keep it light.It was also done 2 days earlier than expected! And ended up being $20 under original quoted estimate.

Aamco in GIlbert, AZ was my go-to for vehicle repairs. When I drove from there to WA the first place I looked up was Aamco. Thankfully, there was one right down the road from my fathers custom Harley shop. Jon was able to get me in right away and I was able to pick-up my truck before the end of the day when an oil change was needed. A few months later, there was an issue with one of my bearings. Again, Jon made room for my truck. The part came in quickly with a repair shortly afterwards. I was back on the road within a couple of days! Cost of labor is reasonable and customer service is always on point!

So, I had been having lots of trouble. I went through 3 transmissions before my car started working right. I would recommend the AAMCO on Sprague. The man was very nice and polite and took care of the issues I was having with the other place. They worked as fast as they could and did a good test drive to make sure everything was working as it should. I had previously written a review that was not very good and I stand by that, but after I wrote that review I received a phone call from Jim (I think he said he oversees all AAMCOs in the PNW). He did everything he could to make it right and I couldnt be more appreciative of that. I ended my last review with not knowing what I was going to do about my car because of the anxiety I had from the AAMCO shop on division. He apologized to me and helped me through the process of getting my car fixed. So like I said the AAMCO on division didnt suit me but the one on Sprague was a great help. They assured me that I still have my warranty which is also a relief. Thank you Jim and thank you to all the staff at the Sprague AAMCO. I appreciate you.

First time going hear but extremely happy with the service. Definitely will go back. Guy at the front desk actually explains in detail whats going on and how to fix it. Unlike the staff at other places who just give you the quote with little explanation.

Customer service is poor. I paid my bill and card wouldnt work to schedule tanning and they wouldnt figure out the issue.

I will always take my vehicle to AAMCO! My 2005 GMC Yukon started acting weird so first I went to a transmission specialist in Spokane Valley. I described what was happening to the mechanic and he said that it was the clutch pad and it would be at least $1800. I decided to get a second opinion and John at AAMCO explained he would first use the diagnostic device and that would be $140 that would then be applied to the total if they can fix it. Turns out it was the ignition switch! He also cleared a bunch of codes for me and explained some things I should address in the future. I saved over $1300 and the problem is fixed. So thankful for John and AAMCO

The shop was very fast, professional and got back us on the road quickly at a very fair price. I had tried tried to previously fix the problem myself but they were able to fix my mistake. My transmission is running better than ever. I will definitely use them again!

Brought my Tahoe in for a leaky transfer case. Was still leaking after seals were replaced. Brought it back in. Transfer case was cracked. I brought them a transfer case and they installed it for free. Would recommend.

My husband and I love Aamco on Francis. They are always quick and friendly. We regularly get our oiled changed there and we’ve also had more serious car work done there. And we’ve always been incredibly satisfied. We had to have our alternator replaced a few years ago, and 12 months after it was replaced it died again. Technically it was past it’s manufactured warranty, but John replaced it free of charge. We will keep taking our cars there!

Analyzed my hybrids transmission. Was thorough, explained everything in language that was understandable. Prices were fair and was friendly and courteous. Recommended!

Car had too much transmission fluid. Mike drained it to the correct level. No Charge. I will go back for needed repairs. There is trust not to pad the repairs.

Ive been here a number of times and the service was ok, but this last time last year, I had them service my transmission on my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. Mind you, this van cover 110,000 miles a year as my service van covering 4 Northwest states. I picked it up after service and drove to Great Falls Montana for work. The next morning the van would not go except in limp mode. 2nd gear only. I took it to a transmission shop in Great Falls and it was 2 quarts low on fluid! No leaks. Im not sure how they over looked this. There was no way for me to check this transmission as it is a sealed unit that requires a special dip stick a shop has. Luckily there didnt seem to be any lasting damage, and the shop in Great Falls was very accommodating. Its due for a service again. Ill not be going to AAMCO.

Aamco on Francis,Verbally told my brother it would be 84.00$ to tow 2 miles from his house to their shop. Only to charge him 125$ for a tow.He thought his alternator went out so he had them tow it he bought an alternator for them. They called him and assured him his alternator is just fine just needs a new battery. They wanted to charge him 300$ to do the battery he said no thank you I’ll come do that myself. He said okay well you still owe us the 84$ for the tow.He goes in for a receipt and keys and they charged him a total of 302$ they put down an inspection for 160 and 125 for the tow. So they lied about the tow amount and didn’t even provide him a inspection checked his alternator out and call that an “inspection” he said that’s not right and he never gave them his permission. And their pretty much saying he’s out of luck. I called them, I heard them quote him 84.00$ and their trying to say they told him something completely different. No sir... you were on speaker! And just ripped a 19 year old off during a pandemic so hope you feel good about yourself... aamco is supposed to have a reputable name... not if they have workers like this!

Terrible service, I have had 2 family members in my household in the last month come in to get their car fixed and for the same components to get fixed at another shop is half the price. This company is double dipping on labor prices. Beware and call around first people

I took my car to AAMCO to have my transmission rebuilt, I paid $3600 and when I left I noticed a hose hanging under my car, I took it back and they fixed it. My car still did not run right. 6 months later my car would not go over 20 mph and would not shift. I called to see if my warranty was still good and they informed me I did not get a transmission rebuild I got a reseal. NOT WHAT I THOUGHT I PAID FOR. They got the codes and reset them and stated the only issue it a brake senor so I paid another $174 for that and upon picking my car up it still is not running correctly. so for a 4th time I am taking my car back!

Theyre the best! I love the credit card that is offer and easy to apply for, and I love how willing they are to work with you. Plus, this location does its best to find the exact part that needs repaired, which means they do not charge you for things that arent wrong. Theyre a tiny tiny bit pricier than most mechanic shops, but the friendliness and how hard they try to work with you is worth it! I will be going here from now on

My Honda 2002 just gave up and we knew we needed a transmission. Of course we wanted a good warranty and good price so we had to go to Spokane to get it since our little town did not offer this great deal. He was able to get one shipped in and changed out in only a couple of days. They had good knowledge of issues and a quick response. These guys were GREAT! I did some checking around and this place was the only place that could give a complete estimate and also had a guaranteed price option. I did the guaranteed price option. It was a bit more but I didnt have any surprises. Car repairs are always a pain but it was nice to not worry about surprise costs! And, the guaranteed price option is a transmission exchange option so it was only a few days and I was back on the road!!!

If you want things done right by people who actually know what theyre doing, AAMCO is a great place to go. I had gone to multiple shops and been told theres no codes we dont know whats wrong over and over. John and his team looked at my car and almost instantly know the issue, quickly order the parts and my problem is solved within the next day or two. They go above and beyond to take care of you.

Going to work about a week ago and heard a thud and felt like my breaks were tapped. Had a horrible experience with this shop around 2007.I decided to give them one more try and they are right by my work. The manager john is great!!! We were returning home to Oregon when our 2006 Ford F350 transmision stopped shifting into gear in Spokane, WA. We stopped at Wendles Ford garage whose service dept. very coldly told us it would be a minimum of 3 weeks before theyd even look at! Horrible customer service!!! Then we called Aamco. They had closed but we were connected to Johns voice mail, told him we were stranded and asked if he could call first thing in the morning. At 8:00 a.m. exactly, he called. He was very friendly, helpful and though they were down one tech who was sick, he still committed to give us a diagnosis by noon. Not only did they have it diagnosed, they had FIXED IT for a very fair price!!! John, their manager, and his tech team went above and beyond for us. We were on the road towards home by 1:00 on same day. Highly, highly recommend Aamco on Francis Ave in Spokane!

What a great Experience. I was Quoted by 3 other transmission stores $1500 to $2000 to fix leak in transmission of my Corvette. I then called John at Aamaco on Frances. He told me to bring in My car he would put up on rack and check out for free. Which is exactly what he did. No cost, no obligation. He found 2 leaks. Quoted me $375. I have had work done on three different vehicles I own and have been very satisfied with the work. Did not need to return because of further problems. John Hedger was very informative in all issues I needed to fix. He was also very friendly and did quality work. I had work done on my durango a year and half ago and have not had any further problems. I also had work done on my Buick enclave six months ago and it has not had any further issues. I just had work done on my buick envlave today and so far so good and Im sure to have same results as in the past. This is a good honest work that last and also will let you know of other issues to get you in top shape. I also was very happy with the extra information provided and places he refered me to for tires, body work, windows. I will never go any where else again, I found my macanic home! Definitely money well spent and the financing options are very helpful in times of need.

At first i was a little worried about paying too much for no good results but i was wrong and i say that bekus they did what they needed to and i was satisfied with the results of my car fixed at last. I should have always trusted ammco and i do now so i recemand everybody with car trouble to go straight to ammco transmission to fix it right the first time.

I had appointment at 8:00 am I waited for 2.5 hrs. for my diagnose and then be told by front desk that it would be 3 to 4 days before they could get to an fix my vehicle. The front desk person threatened to report me to my AUL warranty if I wouldnt leave the vehicle there. I refused to due to I needed my vehicle. I did find a place that day to fix the problem. I had asked the front desk person (John) if he recommended anyone. He told me all the Good businesses were busy and if I found one who could help same day there is a reason they arent busy. The place I found was right next door and within an hour they had fixed my vehicle and all their mechanics were certified. I wasnt happy with Ammco services on Francis in Spokane Washington.

Had a transmission rebuilt, went out a year later, and they had no record of it conviently, if i could rate them negative 7 stars i would . Had to have it rebuilt again this time i took it to Louis transmission. Been over 5 yrs no issues!

To say these people are incompetent would be a plus told it would cost $4200 for a new transmission got a from a different shop for 19 the other shop told me is an electrical item fixed it for $500 Was also told ammco has 3 year warranty pointed out I drive a postal truck warranty would have been 0

I went through three mechanics to get my sister in laws car fixed all for the same problem. Lake Street Industries diagnosed it was a map sensor. Almost three hundred dollars later still had same problem. Took to Ebels automotive on Indiana spent just shy of 600. Same problem still as off yet. Went to Aamco, and spent barely anything. Problem solved. Finally not only did I find an honest mechanic, but the price was amazing. Great job guys. Will definetly refer every, and anyone to you. Thanks, Matthew & Jean Matson

Excellent service at an affordable price! My van would not exceed 50 MPH without high RPMS. I took my Minivan to Louies Transmission and Tire Rama. They both misdiagnosed my problem in my wiring. AAMCO figured out that I needed to run an additional parallel wire to my tranny harness. PRESTO! On the road again. Great experience Great service

Called to get a quote. The manager placed me on hold then he said he would call back in few mins with the quote..... few days later still waiting. So if you aren’t in a hurry, then call them. They might get back to you at some point?

Avoid! Took my vehicle in 3 days later got a call from them telling me they have not even done anything because all lifts are busy, techs are busy and they are behind and do not know when they can get to my vehicle. Wasted 3 days with them. No rebate offers or discounts to make things right. Very disappointed. Will never go back again.

John was so busy him and his crew worked through lunch to fix my car I would recommend them.

Place seems a little short staffed for the amount of business they do. took my truck there to get clutch done and hey the did a great job on the clutch but that was only part of the problem. I told them it was grinding on downshift when i went in there. So they fix the clutch and ASSUME that would fix the problem well it didnt and now they think i need a rebuild (another 1000 dollars). Funny there commercial says they find and fix the problem the first time...hmmm BullSh@# Do your research people all these damn places do is take advantage of you. Sorry aamco i would not recommend you to anyone.

Brought my 83 chevy in for inspection was told all good,now 7 miles later my intire clutch assembly and fly wheel has to be replaced do to constant contact while driving ...My clutch fork was broke and the springs where in wrong place all can be seen from out side the bell housing How Did they miss it i got pics too!..almost 2000$ in parts alone right now im serious i got all the pics and Carfax and receipt to prove i was in your shop theres no way my truck was even inspected so yeah thanks. Ill be billing you later...ps you where my purchase inspector too so your ok its good was WRONG.

Well being active duty military, and on my personal R&R leave time, needed some work done on my transmission. I heard aamco on Francis did good work, so I went in on July 22nd for a disgnosis. Well after he promised me that they could get the parts ordered and my car back to me by early next week, (July 29th) it is now august 4th and after a faulty reinstall (3rd gear synchro bearing being backwards meaning it would have to be pulled completely out again) Im still waiting. Im extremely disappointed and frustrated at the work theyve done here. Im paying the workers FIFTY FOUR DOLLARS AN HOUR (I looked at the labor cost on the quote) I expected professional service but am greatly let down.DO NOT bring your car or truck here unless you want runarounds over the phone and unexpected delays in getting your car back to you.

Told me it would cost 4 grand to rebuild our 2006 taurus transmission. But didnt know what was wrong with it. or 3500 to fix that specific issue.When I called to let them know that it was being towed back they tried to bring the price down to 2200.How the hell are you going to tell me you can fix it right after you tell me you dont know what is wrong with it?Transmission Specialists my arse
