Visiting on vacation from Tennessee, but I’m originally from the west coast so coffee is a big deal for me. I ordered an iced vanilla mocha and avocado toast. I believe the baristas name was Lauren and she did an excellent job with both! Definitely made me feel like I was back home. Will definitely be coming back and shout out to Lauren for managing to make my order perfectly despite it being super busy and working on other orders as well!
This establishment was very beautiful, very spacious and great seating area. The reason for a 3 Star was the customer service. The barista was not very friendly after I order my drink she kept forgetting what drink I had order. Might sound like a simple mistake but mind you it was not busy at all. After I replied she continued to be extremely rude.
Good coffee but the barista came off as a lil creepy. If you are going to have baristas with face tattoos, at least hire ones who dont go out of their way to make single female customers feel uncomfortable.
Spicy Avocado Toast was amazing! Highly recommend this place. They have 2 different Avocado Toast variations and the Spicy one is a game changer. Get it with egg on top.The bread comes from the Bakery next door which is one of the best if not The best is Spokane. Fresh, whole grain locally milled bread for the Avocado Toast, hell yeah! Love it!
Had my first visit to this coffee shop just a couple of days ago, and it left such an impression upon me that it is the only coffee shop in Spokane thus far that I want to revisit. Its a really bright light clean open space and the roasts of the coffee are very tasty.
Wow!! What a great spot to grab some amazing coffee! If there seasonal lattes are all good year round, then sign me up! This place can be kind of confusing to find if you aren’t a local, but it’s worth the drop in. The aesthetics are super dope and go with the theme of the shop very well. Very spacious and nice areas to relax both indoor and out. Great job guys, keep up the great roasts!
Cute interior and okay coffee. The avocado toast didn’t have much avocado and the bread was a bit stale
Cute local coffee shop. Not sure if they just opened but a nice place to relax and get some work done. The decor is fabulous.Drinks were ok. Green tea latte could have been stronger and drip coffee could have been hotter (temp)Classic Avocado toast with egg had old avocado. The color wasnt fresh. Missing something to give it that umph in flavor. I think onion or salsa could have helped since squeezing some of the lemon they added for garnish made it taste a little betterOverall great customer service!
The coffee is really good. The staff are nice. It’s just exceedingly slow. Today I waited 15 minutes for drip coffee. They need to increase their staffing, so the baristas aren’t always trying to juggle 3 things at once.
Wonderful small batch single origin coffee beans. Aaron, the owner, is an awesome dude and knows his stuff. Id call Ladder the best roaster in town for sure!
Ladder coffee is a great shop! High quality espresso (quality beyond anything you’d think to find at a drive through shop). Aaron is a great guy, he knows his espresso, his costumer service, and his graphic design. The story behind his shop and the name is so inspiring. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve gotten to take photos at his shop, and for his excitement in working with local artists and photographers!I definitely recommend this shop to anyone who is in (or out) of the neighborhood.
The coffee ☕ is wonderful. Its a very cute place. You should check it out.
Came in with my wife on a Thursday mid morning - ordered an iced Americano and one of their seasonal coffee drinks.Iced Americano was just ok - the ratio was off; far too diluted and lacked espresso.Wife mentioned that her drink was meh. I didnt get much more feedback on that one.Lastly, the barista seemed to have an off day? She was very lackadaisical towards us but perhaps thats her personality? Regardless, being in a customer service based profession, youd imagine a genuine greeting is a must. The venue itself is nicely decorated! Very nice ambiance about it. Just check out videos on Tik-Tok to see what Im on about.P.S. Bakery next door is a must! 👌
Latte was fine at best. Service was exceptionally slow. 3 people working but mostly talking.Blueberry muffin was the worst I’ve ever had. Nearly uncooked, extremely dense. Awful.
My morning started off prosperous and delightful, and then I went to Ladder Coffee. I’ve been a couple of times in the past and knew they had quality coffee, albeit over-priced. The environment was quite ebullient with the exception of the barista. I felt lingering tension while ordering food as the barista stared me down with a stoic-like facial expression. It was truly a game of wits as the barista stood there, emotionless, waiting for me to decide my fate.I finally caved in after the standoff and ordered the breakfast sammie aka the over-priced-piece-of-bread-with-eggs. This must be the new, hip way of siphoning money from the customer as the piece of bread set me back $10. The fried eggs mixed with arugula, olive oil, and an unknown substance created a noxious fume that packed a punch, immediately shutting off my desire to eat. I think seeing the bread completely suffused in fluids did it for me. After paying $16 for an inedible breakfast, I cut my loss and left. For the sake of keeping my morning routines jubilant, I won’t be returning to Ladder Coffee.
Solid coffee (both drip and espresso drinks) and dope avo toast but service is mad slow with only one person working trying to do both food and coffee at the same time. Get that poor girl some help!
The barista wasnt kind, seemed as though helping/answering questions was the most inconvenient/annoying thing even though it wasnt busy. The owners seem great though🤷♀️ It was the Downtown location
New coffee place that definitely takes the cake in my opinion. The coffee is very high quality, the honor bar for coffee is a nice touch. The decor is excellent, the owner friendly and knowledgeable, and the baked goods look amazing (Ill have to try one next time). Im a huge fan, definitely would recommend.
Well roasted coffee, good menu options and generally pleasant staff. Ive never had a bad coffee from Ladder.
Nice atmosphere, really not enough seating to accommodate the social distancing requirements. The coffee I ordered had a bitter after taste.
Great coffee, not nearly enough seating and parking fills up fast.
I love their horchata con cafe drink. A nice change from a traditional iced coffee. They have yummy avocado toast and a brioche breakfast sandwich too. You can also stop across the hallway and grab a fresh loaf of bread or a pastry from glorious bakery on the way out.
If you are comparing this to Dutch Bros, Starbucks, even any small espresso shop... DONT! Shocked not to be able to get a size larger than a 16 oz. The employee said it had to do with the milk to coffee ratio????? And it being a specialty coffee. Seriously, unimpressed. Its reminds me of someone, who spends more money in wrapping and time to gift a dollar store present.
In my quest for the perfect Americano, this was a fair effort but lacked depth. On the other hand, my other half’s iced Americano was one of the better ones she has had in a while. Cute place and nice logo.
Quaint comfy little coffee shop with indoor seating. Good coffee!
Bright and cheery shop. Service was very friendly and the latte was delicious. Definitely hope to come back and sit down when it’s available.
I’ve been to this place many times and enjoyed the service and the food, especially the avocado toast. I had a baby four months ago and this was first time I got out to have the toast I’ve been craving. Moms would understand how much work it takes to get the little one ready, go through the drive and than to take the stroller out and get the baby strapped in and ready to go. I’ve done all that. I went on the ramp at the back of the cafe, but the door was locked with a notice to use the other door which has two set of stairs! Such inconsideration to people in wheelchairs and moms with strollers. I found their phone number and called three times in hopes they could unlock the door, but no-one answered the phone. Since I’ve gone this far I decided to still go in and used the front door while carrying the stroller in on the stairs. Only to be greeted by grumpy barista and refusing the service due to me not wearing the mask. In fact Everyone in the cafe was not wearing one. People right next to me were not wearing them! The worst part is that she was absolutely rude about it. No worries, I’ll take my business elsewhere. I will never go back there again. A tip for the owner, get rid of her before she gets rid of your repeat customers. Unfortunately Hospitality and customer service is not her field. COVID 19 is not a a reason to be nasty and rude.
Fantastic espresso smooth and well extracted.
Love this place. The interior is a great place to hang out with friends and meet up with clients. It is busy at times but that is to be expected. Great coffee as well!
I was thrilled with the bright and cheerful ambiance of this cafe! I also fell in love with the cardamom latte! Must try this place!
SO hip- but welcoming and warm. Their decor is edgy without having an uncomfortable edge about it. I mean, even the wooden window benches have throw pillows. We tried the avocado toast and the breakfast Sammie, with drip coffee and their golden turmeric latte. Friendly service. Everything was fairly priced and scrumptious, fresh. Easy to find something vegan or gf or dairy free here without feeling deprived. The turmeric latte was so yummy and just the thing for cold season. The building is cool too, so wed like to explore their neighbors. Will definitely be back.
Amazing coffee! Got it very fast & the beans are delicious!! Gonna keep ordering! (We’ve been to both locations)
This place is seriously beyond cute. The colors are bright and happy. They have beautiful plants all around. The coffee is delicious too. I love the seating arrangements. Perfect for a little gathering
Had the cardamom latte and it was amazing! Very nice baristas, very clean store! Definitely recommend!
Amazing avocado toast! Worth checking out. Experience with staffing okay, some of them not too friendly.
Wasnt blown away like I should have been based off other reviews. The aesthetic of this coffee shop were truly lovely. Staff was mostly friendly but what I was the least impressed with was the pour over. For the price point Id expect it to not taste burnt.Beyond that point, I would try this spot out again next time I pass through Spokane.
It was ok, it didnt feel super welcoming when I entered.
The coolest coffee shop! Such a good vibe with little local pop up shops upstairs. Food is a little pricey but looks amazing. Coffee is definitely some of the very best in Spokane and the baristas are always wonderful. Highly recommend trying!
I’m not one to leave negative reviews, but I thought the experience I had was worth sharing. I’ve been to Ladder a few times and had an average experience. I thought the coffee was okay at best and the service was unfriendly. I would likely have given Ladder a 3-star before my last visit. We decided to order a toast off the menu based off of a friend’s recommendation. It was between $7-9, so we thought it was going to be more than one slice. When we got our toast it was not even enough for one person. The crust was completely black and charred all the way around. Because of our unfriendly experience with staff that was working that day, we didn’t want to complain and just left. I will not be visiting again. Coffee should be for everyone and the experience should be customer friendly.
I seriously love this place. I absolutely love the vibe. The avocado toast is bomb. My only suggestion is for them to have a variety of non-dairy milks. Those animal-based milks are out of style and unhealthy, and oat milk is limited in its reach.
I was immediately greeted by two people with smiles on their face. Exceptional service and pleasing environment. My Americano was fantastic!
Love their cappuccino.Great service and environment.
Some of the best coffee in the nation!
Awesome coffee shop! My coffee was delicious and beautiful. The space is well set up and not crammed together, perfect place for coffee with friend or a meeting!
One of my favorite coffee spots in Spokane. Very spacious and airy interior. The coffee is on point. Their specials are always worth trying. I’ve been using their beans at home and have been getting solid pulls. The only drawback is that parking can be tricky to find. Great place, delicious coffee, friendly baristas.
The staff was incredibly friendly and the service was quick. I ordered a drink called the Tim Tam and loved it. Will be coming here often.
Amazing coffee, the avocado toast was so good! I love the ambience here too. Will definitely be back soon!
Best coffee in the area. Staff are very ward and friendly.
Amazing staff, service and vibe!
The friendly baristas and good coffee make this aesthetic even better!! Bright, beautiful, and a great spot to meet a friend for work like I did.
I recently checked out Ladder coffee and it was great. I had a brewed coffee (I believe they hand roast the coffee beans) and it was very good. Nice, relaxing atmosphere, and friendly service. Thats all for now, see you ladder!
I thought I rated this place but apparently not lol. Well, as you may not Washington is home to the infamous Starbucks however its also home to this great coffee shop! The food was great, iced coffee was delicious yet bold. The atmosphere is very welcoming and upscale with a wonderful staff. Truly a great experience, moreso than Five-bucks 🤣. Will definitely make this place a regular stop on my future business trips to Spokane. 👍
I went in yesterday for the first time. From the outside of the building it’s not even clear that there would be retail inside, let alone a really cool coffee shop. The space is hands down the best space to drink a cup of coffee in all of Spokane. Their use of tile and hardwood are a really good match. They nailed it. I’m really glad that they’re getting great pastries and breads as well! Going back today and really glad to have this in between Browne’s and downtown.
Beautiful coffee shop with wonderfully delicious coffee. The atmosphere here is amazing, and the service was fantastic. Most importantly, the coffee was on point. I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a great Third Wave coffee experience.
Love, the concept its metaphorical foundation is built on. That the ascension of ones self is advantageous to focusing on the present moment. The rung of the ladder of the life that one. Finds oneself in is to be focused on in complete. In other words if you find yourself slipping or misstepping make absolute sure to take note, make proper adjustments and focus on the next rung of ascension so as to keep the damage minimal and not let one misstep to lead to another misstep . A MISSTEP IS NOT A FAILURE BUT JUST ONE MORE BELL RUNG ON THE LADDER OF SUCCESS! ONE DAY YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF AT THE TOP ......IMAGINE THE VIEW....D. M.A
Delicious coffee with oatmeal milk (a first for me) in a unique contemporary space. Parking wasnt as difficult as I thought it would be with a double lot to the west of the building. Small balcony out back that will be nice in the Spring.
What can I say about Ladder Coffee? From its humble beginning to where they are today definitely says something about who they are. They truly care about the community as well as the coffee they serve. I am proud to say this is a spot worth checking out!
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about all that they make. I went hear because 2 different barristas from 2 different coffee roasters recommended it. It was truly a great experience.
Heather is a great barista. Good call Ladder on making her part of your awsome team.
Get the basics down before you expand the menu.I’ve been in three times and has a disappointing experience with simple beverages each time. The first time I had the self serve drip and it was over extracted and bitter. The second time I had a black tea. I was given the hot water and tea bag but not told how long to steep it. I steeped it for 5 minutes and it was still so light I could barely taste it. I brought this up to the barista and he said it was just a light tea. For $5 I want to taste what I’m drinking. The last time I simply had a poorly pulled shot of espresso. Bitter and one dimensional.I’d like to try some other items on the menu but I have little hope for them if the basics can’t be handled properly.EDIT: Eat farts, Aaron.
Theres some kind of running joke about avocado toast, hipsters, and people with Namaste bumper stickers on their car somewhere floating out there. Ive so far avoided most of that. I tried avocado toast for the first time in my life here and now Im terrified to ever try it again anywhere else - my fear being that the bar was set way too high after eating here. My God, the avocado toast here is ridiculously good. And I live in Seattle. I guess time will tell. But Im already disappointed in all future avocado toast I may eat elsewhere because of how delicious and fancy it was here.I basically have to spend the rest of my life chasing an avocado toast dragon. Thanks a lot, Ladder Coffee.
Being from Arizona and knowing great specialty coffee shops, Ladder Coffee is hands down the best specialty coffee shop in Spokane. Great hospitality to go along with great espresso based drinks. Definitely will be back
A bit pricey without much options but still good coffee and a very nice chill vibe inside
Delicious coffee and cool plants all over the place. Great spot for a date
After a year and opening multiple locations Ladder Coffee lost there quality and smiles on a face. Ordering HOT Coffee but they making WARM, yes I ask if they can make extra hot but .... its like they have never heard you. Not worth to pay over $5 for the quality Coffee they do. I quess I have to open a claim with my credit card.
I have spent my life in coffee shops, and I can say confidently that Ladder is one of the best in Spokane, WA.I highly recommend.
As a full time student and employee I often find myself tired and stressed out! For me Ladder has been a second home. The people and atmosphere are very inviting, warm, loving and inclusional. It is a real joy of mine to make new friends and family at this comfy cozy coffee shop and often be greeted with a hug or conversation by one of its baristas or the owner on their breaks. Spokane needs more inclusional spaces like Ladder. Thank you for everything my Ladder family! I truly love you all! Passed and present! Your pal Sam!!!
Just what Browns addition needed!! Ladder coffee has the feel of a coffee house that pays extra attention to coffee done right. The store is not cramped and yet it has warmth and furnishings that compliment any drink.Way to go Ladder!!
Smooth rich coffee, delicious healthy appetizers, and a warm and bright environment. Decent prices, contemporary decoration. Becoming a frequently visited downtown spot for me.
Very nice coffee shop.
The coffee and service here is excellent. My favorite coffee place in Spokane! Try a mocha with oat milk. And dont forget to check out the bakery across the hall and gift shop upstairs.
Patio is a best kept shady little secret on a hot day; plus avocado toast. What more can you ask?
We love this local coffee spot. Amazing coffee, beautiful environment and a hard working owner. Highly recommend the brown sugar Lavendar latte!
Great new coffee place in Spokane !! Loved the coffee but the best deal going was the salad!!! Delicious!! Loved every bite. Give this place a try ... you won’t be disappointed!!!
Cute hidden spot with a really cozy interior vibe with good coffee.
The hot chocolate was ok, could use less cream and more chocolate; otherwise a great atmosphere, with friendly staff
Fun busy place. Comfy and convenient location.
Ladder is another great addition to Spokanes coffee scene. The toasts and pastries are locally made and fresh daily
Favorite coffee in Spokane
Cool spot to chill and get work done. Very impressed with the amount of tea options they have.
IV had better. To much water down. Couldnt taste coffee or chocolet
Great coffee and friendly service in a beautifully decorated place.
This is a fantastic spot, great coffee and yummy treats. Prices in line with the other great coffee shops in Spokane.
