Although this place is super cute and inviting, my experience with them was terrible. I bought a Hoya plant there along with 150 dollars worth of other plants and pots. After they repotted the hoya, I realized that I needed it in a different pot that would hang lower and get more sun. I asked the associate if this would disturb the plant too much, and I was told it would be fine. After I got it home, it died very quickly. I asked if I could get an exchange for the $22 plant, beings how it died due to their improper handling and I spent a pretty penny there. It was very hard to get ahold of the manager, and when I finally did she was extremely unhelpful. She told me it was probably just under-watered. This is not the case because I watered it after I noticed it was wilting, thinking that could be the reason, and it didn’t help the plant one bit. Furthermore, Hoya’s like to err on the side of less water rather than more. She told me to bring the plant in (which I’d already done once and was told the plant was fine and that it just needed time to recover) or take a picture and send it to her. After I sent her a picture, an associate responded saying she would bring it to the manager that day and see what they could do. I never got a response.I also bought a very poorly designed pot from them, and I will unfortunately end up having to repot the plant in it. It’s a hanging pot with holes on the top where rope is attached. Every time I water it, I have to take it off the hook and water it in the sink because water leaks everywhere. While it’s nice that they offer to repot plants for you, most plants prefer to stay put until they’re older (I now know).For how extremely overpriced this store is, I would expect better customer service. I spent $150 and they can’t replace a $22 plant that died due to their lack of knowledge about plant care. Definitely do your own research before trusting their advice. And honestly, most of the plants there you can find at Fred Meyer, Home Depot, even Trader Joe’s for way cheaper.

I just found my new happy place! 😍🌿This shop has wonderful employees and if you buy a pot and planter and they will transplant it for you before you take it home, which was so wonderful. They have such a nice selection, everything is so healthy, and they have a rewards program that I will taking advantage of. I love my purchases and Ill be back! 🥰

Would love to come give them a try, but they are very hidden away (in a building called the dormitory, looks like an apartment but is not) and apparently closed on sundays or possible just temporarily closed. I dont know. Ill try again another time and update my review at that time

Super adorable little store packed with different kinds of plants! Amazing customer service that goes above and beyond! Every plant I inspected had a healthy root system and zero signs of pests or problems like root rot. They really care about their plants!! I think its very nice that they offer to repot for you, too, if you buy a pot. Id seen a samurai sansevieria on their Etsy, but when I went into the store I couldnt find it. I asked the woman working, and she couldnt find it either, but said if it was in stock on Etsy that they could get it from their HQ same day. I left with a different snake plant and a tiny baby pothos because why not! I came back for the samurai today, and picked up a neon pothos Id been dreaming about the rest of the week! Great selection, kind staff, and a little pricy but sometimes its worth paying a little extra. I love local businesses like this!!

Place is awesome! Had a gift card, so I went to check it out. It’s small and quaint, but has a huge personality! Employees were super helpful, and answered all my questions before I made my selection. Great plant shop! I will definitely be back!

This is a beautiful plant shop with a wide variety of mostly healthy plants at a great price. The reason I am not giving five stars is because there seems to be a lack of knowledge about the plants and equipment theyre selling. While it seems nice that the cashier will repot the plant for you if you buy a pot with it, its not really a good idea to shock a plant by taking it out of its nursery pot and taking it to a new location at the same time. Some of my first purchases from Fern were of their pre-made arrangements. Unfortunately, those died or had to be repotted quickly because of the inadequate space between plants and inadequate drainage. Also, the vast majority of pots that Fern sells dont have drainage holes so most of their plants should not be potted directly in the pots (although, recently Fern has been getting a little better about having proper pots). Id advise not to ask the cashiers for plant care advice. They tend to give the blanket advice of watering once the soil is dry which is not true for all plants and will kill some. Finally, they sometimes sell air plants that have long roots or pups meaning that the main plant is about to end its life cycle. Sorry, long review. But in conclusion, absolutely worth it to go to Fern for the variety of plants and prices but make sure you do your own research and are careful about what you purchase.

Such an amazing shop! The plants are healthy! The staff is helpful! And the vibe is on point! By far the best shop in Spokane! Some items can be a little on the higher side pricing wise though!

Such a cute little shop hidden away. Once you pull into the parking lot there is a sign telling you where to go. Lots of options and if you buy a plant and a planter, they tranfer it complimentary. Love that. If you have questions about which plant would work best for the lighting, they have have a lot of knowledge. The shop also has some very earth friendly products you can purchase as well. Highly recommend and will be back

Worth the drive from North Idaho and now they have a location in CDA too! Super fun shop with great friendly service and lots of educational advise. Fabulous selection of all indoor plants and accessories. Was able to find everything I was searching for and much more. Definitely highly recommended.

Fern Plant Shop is my favorite! I have gotten my last 4 plants from them and they were all super healthy. They are very knowledgeable and always willing to offer advice and help with plant care. The plants that I have from Fern transitioned great and are now thriving!

I got a couple of plants and a cactus and a small pot for said cactus. The girl behind the counter was very nice and poted the small cactus for me and answered a Q I had for one of her plant I had purchased.

If youre looking for a healthy house plant, this is the place for you. If youre looking for any certain type of plant this is my go to place. They have plants in all shapes and sizes. Carnivorous, vines, cactus, hanging plants, air plants you name it. They will also transplant for you if you buy a pot with your new plant. Dont forget to check out the upstairs gift store!! 😁
