Fun market to visit! They have a great variety of Asian food and some tasty snacks. Try something new and check it out. πŸ™‚ They have a variety of teas and cookies you will enjoy trying. Up at the counter they have some really cool jewelry to look at too! Also a pleasant surprise was the amount of shoes and clothing for sale. This is a really interesting store!

Great Asian Market with everything you could possibly need. In addition to food, they have dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, clothes and a lot of other stuff. They had cases of fuel canisters for butane camping stoves. The owner gave me a big DISCOUNT when I bought a case (cheapest I could find anywhere). Great place, great kimchee here too.

Great place to buy your Asian related ingredients. However they keep expired stuff on the shelf and prices arent as good as the Asian World Market a few blocks away.

Overwhelming smell of rotting produce and herbs as soon as you walk in.The owners are rude!! Yes believe me because that’s coming from a person being Asian myself. The city should just close them down. Not sure how they stay open. They need to close and do a complete clean up of all their freezers. Get rid of old outdated foods and produce. The smell in there is strong. I only shop there when I need Asian cooking utensils and similar, but rarely buy food items from this store. Look them up on the Springfield inspections you’ll see that they fail often and have be told about their produce rotting etc.

The prices and selection are reasonable and the staff is super-nice! Just watch out for some kinds of produce. Their fresh lotus roots tend to be fuzzy. I opted for frozen roots instead.

This store has a lot of equipment, dishes, steamers, statuary, etc., if you want to open your own restraunt (like the one next door). Their food selection isnt very good though, and the coolers didnt seem to be very cool. Friendliness is not something you would accuse the woman at the register of. There are several Asian/Oriental markets in Springfield, dont bother with this one.

BEWARE! Shopping here is a gamble for sure, I bought $25 worth of large persimmons that looked okay on the outside, but when I cut into it, they were black and the owners refused to refund me. They cut one open told me to throw it away instead.1. Waited outside for 15 mins for them to open when their sign says they open at 10am2. Their prices are outrageous. $1 each for an orange?3. It smelled of cigarette smoke inside the store, yuck.4. There were gnats flying all around the produce, not very fresh and not very hygienic either...5. They sell expired fruit and REFUSE to give your money back! Also, the owners are quite rude.

They sell little fresh produce, they also sell loose teas, frozen fish and ducks. Best selection of Asian foods in the area that I have found in the Springfield, MO area. They also sell in bulk for restaurants. Prices are very good and lower than Walmart on many items. Pots, Pans, Woks, dishes, statues.

Dont go here. Go to Asian World Market on Campbell. Its much larger, has more of a selection, and the staff are super friendly. The couple that run Binh Tay are extremely rude and act like they dont even want your business. If they hate money so much, thats ok, there are other businesses that LOVE money and want you to shop there. Asian World Market is one of them. Binh Tay does not want your money or business. Avoid this place.

I just get bad vibes. Maybe it’s a cultural difference, Im not sure. But I won’t go back. I asked several questions about how to make a couple of different dishes and they looked at me like I didn’t belong in the store. Again it’s just my opinion but I felt very uncomfortable.

Second largest Asian Food+ Market [that I know] in town. This one has a particularly good selection of fresh foods available. The two things I normally get are oranges (they happen to bring the EXACT SAME KIND that you can find back in Guatemala) and their mochi balls (Ive found them with peanut and coconut fillings); I have been unable to find those two in any of the other Asian Food Markets in town. This time of the year you can also find mangosteen, lychee, longan, and green mango (green as in truly unripe but still edible, yet another thing I missed from back home). Just like Seoul Market, they also bring durian and various other vegetables (Im more a sweets fan, so I dont usually purchase those).I think Binh Tay might be the one to carry the largest selection of non-food items, aside from kitchen tools and clothes, they also have lots of decorations (they might lose to the Japanese Food Market on Glenstone, near the Neighbourhood Market when it comes to CDs and DVDs though). The place seems to be run by a family, the husband seems like a cheery guy, while his wife is a lot more quiet and reserved (although there are some rare days where she becomes quite chatty and charming). All in all, its one of my favourite places to walk around perusing any products that catch my eye.
