Mixed feelings about this place Very Nice People work here helpful Yes! Im concerned why I was told I couldnt get my Childs PD measurement do to liblity but all the other information on his prescription was told to me over the phone and no one ever questioned who I was and dont get my started on paying extra for the extended warranty if you use the extended warranty you still have to pay 60.00 to replace a pair of glasses I will be looking for a different eye Dr after this experience just because nice people work here does not make it ok to rip people off.

Walked in. Laura asked if she could help. She showed me the frames, least expensive to most expensive. I immediately found the ones I wanted, Sperry. She took my information, she got me in the system, took my copay. Said the glasses would be ready at 1pm. Easiest transaction EVER!!!!

Im not sure whats up with the negative reviews but I had a pleasant experience. I had a 9:30 appt on A Saturday and was the first person in. I didnt wait long and everyone was very kind. The lady who looks at my eyes was kind and reassuring when she told me I needed to go ahead and see an ophthalmologist for more tests. They didnt pressure to spend money on their glasses and made me feel. Very comfortable. I would personally highly recommend.

I called a week in advance toSetup an appointment. The lady told me they were booked up, which is okay, fine I get it. So we scheduled for the next Monday and I even made sure to take that day off. And this is the only day I have off. I asked them to send me put texts to remind me and they said they would but never got a text so I called. Now they are telling me that I told them that following sat. I know for a fact I told them Monday because I literally setup my schedule toHave that day off for this. I’m definitely Not going to the appointment because if they can’t setup a day properly then I really don’t trust them in general. They told me that they are booked up today and it’s really frustrating because I took this day off for this specific reason and now I don’t have an appointment all because they made a mistake.

I ordered glasses 2 weeks ago and still havent heard anything. They know my glasses are broken but havent made any effort to fix them or offer an alternative pair. Nothing.After writing this review, I got a call that my glasses had just come in and were ready. I appreciate the call. I do want to add that since getting my glasses, PV has been very accommodating in getting my glasses adjusted correctly.

Update: shortly after posting this review, the manager reached out to me. She apologized and offered to refund the shipping on the last order (because they were never shipped) and send an extra 30 day supply. She asked that I update my review and I agreed. We received the additional 30 day supply about a week ago. It is a shame I didnt post a negative review the first time we had an issue. Perhaps they would have cared more about rectifying that situation. Ive updated my review to 3* but I do not plan on taking my business here again.We have ordered contacts from this place twice in the last year, and the first time they got the wrong prescription. This caused an additional delay, and on top of everything nothing was offered for the inconvenience. In addition, after updating contact information several times, they still call the wrong phone number when the contacts come in, causing even further delays.The second time, this most recent time, ordering contacts, I was advised that they could be shipped directly to my house in order to avoid waiting for a call and driving an hour to their store. The gentleman said that the contacts may have to be shipped to the store first but would be sent directly to us, express because of all the issues the previous time.So, two weeks into a 5-7 business day wait, I call them and:1. The contacts were sent to the store and never shipped to my house.2. The wrong phone number was called yet again and no message left to let us know that the contacts were just sitting at the store.I am awaiting a phone call from the manager to offer something for the inconvenience, but we have learned our lesson. Please heed my warning and avoid patronizing this business if at all possible.

Husbands exam went well, then we were told downstairs that his insurance would only cover economy frames ($99 out of $100 coverage) and not the lenses for them. Asked for them to measure his PD to complete his prescription, and were told that they couldnt do that because of liability issues if anyone other than Pearle made glasses for him. 1) Prescriptions are considered to be health records and cannot legally be kept from the patient. 2) In well over a decade, my husband, daughter and myself have NEVER been fed a line like this and have NEVER had a problem with the gals in the glasses shop just taking our PD right there with well over a dozen prescriptions between us. Regardless to say we did not order glasses and this is the ONLY time well use this office. Save yourself the aggravation and go to one of the other two or three eye doctors you can see from the office parking lot.

I wrote a negative review several weeks ago. Since that time, the manager, Laura contacted me and offered up a sincere apology for the information I was given that my new glasses, already set back to the lab once, would not be corrected without ME paying for the new lenses. This seems not to be the store policy which restores my faith in the store, which I have been using for many decades. Laura had me come in and she sat across from me and said she could see right away (from 3 away) that my trifocals just werent right. I have to say that today, I got my glasses back and they are GREAT! I am wearing them right now. No issues. THANK YOU, Pearle (and Laura).

I went here last year for the first time. It was an okay visit, they were just really slow and I was there on time and the doctor took forever to even get to me (about an hour), but okay. Same thing on my second visit, they were super slow, but it’s okay, it happens. I called beforehand (before my second visit) about getting new contacts and updating my prescription (this was around Dec 20th or so). The girl on the phone told me that if I waited until after the new year, I would have a free eye exam, and then Quoted me saying the contacts would be somewhere around $130 or so, but my insurance covers around $100, so ultimately I’d be paying around $30 and some change. So I said great, I’ll call back and schedule after the new year. I did just that. I think my appointment was on the 12th or something. I went in, I got my eye exam, got my prescription for my new contacts (like I said on the phone) and then ordered my new contacts. The guy who was checking me out to pay “That’ll be $112.68.” I was confused, obviously, because when I called that is not what I was told I would be paying. I asked if that was with my insurance, and he said yes, and then I asked if it got my free eye exam, and he said “Yes, your EYE EXAM was free, but the eye exam for your CONTACTS was not free.” I told him that I had purposely called in advance for this reason, and I was quoted and I said I was confused on how it was different now. I didn’t understand why I was told I would have a free eye exam, and when I explicitly told the girl on the phone that I needed new contacts and to update my prescription, that’s she failed to mention I would also have to pay for a contact exam. Plus, she told me wrong on how much I would be paying for my contacts! The guy was not much help, he said, “I can show you the computer and what it says.” To which I responded, I understand that you’re telling me what you’re seeing there currently, but what I’m saying is that I was told something completely different on the phone. I get it, things like this happen. But I recently lost my job, I’m a full time student, and I have house bills and living expenses. I can’t afford mess ups. That’s why I called ahead and asked. Had I known, I would have cancelled all of this in advance and went elsewhere, or simply gotten glasses instead of contacts, which would last me longer. I will not be going back here, because there is obviously some type of computer or communication error, and it is not acceptable. Hopefully no one else has that same mistake happen to them.

The most thorough eye exam I have ever had. Dr.Eric G. did everything possible to ensure my contacts were the right fit for me. Usually when you return for your follow up visit the Dr. asks 1 or 2 questions and your done. Dr. G. did the whole exam over to ensure these contacts were the best for me. I will go back every time as long as he is in Springfield.

I recently called to confirm an appointment as my eye care provider has changed under my new insurance this year. Keira who answered the phone was very helpful and polite and was even able to give me the run down on what would happen durring this appointment as it is my first time trying contacts. Very knowledgeable and was even able to take my insurance info to save time! Great service 10/10

I have never personally been here but I 100% loved their billboard I drove past today. I am a definite pumpkin spice fan. I laughed so hard. It said, Pumpkin spice is back.......but not here. I felt a very happy emotion when I saw the pumpkin spice portion and I laughed so hard at the but not here part. This place made my night driving past their billboard on Battlefield Road today. I will have to check this place out soon. My 6 year old son needs glasses. Thank you again for the laugh Pearle Vision. It was much needed. I felt like I got a good eye exam and afterwards the doctor gave me my glasses prescription. He seemed knowledgeable and friendly. He explained everything as we went along. The staff was also helpful and friendly. I would return, and will suggest Pearle Vision to my friends and family. 😊

Last Saturday, had to take my 95 year old mother to get her glasses adjusted. She uses a walker, and is very slow and feeble. Matt B. One of the technicians at Pearle saw us coming, and came outside to assist. When he saw moms struggle, he had us put her back in the car, and literally gave her curbside service. He was so kind. Cant say enough about his compassion. Kudos to Pearle for hiring such a great person.

I called them liked it said on the door and tell them I need to come in and get my glasses adjusted the rude woman who answered the phone was really hateful woman said you have to have a appointment I said just to have them adjusted she said well yes. I told her that I live out of Springfield and I just waisted my gas for you to tell me that .. She proceeds to tell me that’s my problem ... While I find Dr Gericke to be very competent, I cannot say the same for the rest of his staff.I was trying contacts for the first time, and the girl helping me told me to use my FINGERNAILS to remove the contact I was struggling with.Forget HIPAA, the girls upstairs discuss patient information freely among themselves, and as you sit 4 ft away from them while waiting, you hear every derogatory comment.Finally, when I went downstairs to order glasses, I was informed that no insurance would cover contacts AND glasses, so I should come back another time (he was rushing me out the door as he talked) when I had decided if I wanted to wear contacts at all. Turns out, my insurance covers BOTH contacts and glasses - he didnt bother checking. Guess where I bought neither?

I had my eye exam at another location and went to Pearle because they are in network with our insurance. The optical assistant, Matt B. was VERY nice and very knowledgeable. He was not high pressure and provided excellent service. I havent received my glasses yet but I hope it goes as smoothly as picking them out did. Great job, Matt!

I have used Pearle Vision for my glasses several times now, and although the doctors office was again, wonderful, I wont be purchasing glasses from Pearle Vision again.I went in last week for my eye exam and then ordered new lenses for the frames I purchased from them a couple of years ago, they were expensive frames and still looked great and worked perfectly. The problem came when I started wearing the frames with the new lenses, they have horrible glare, I constantly have white translucent shapes floating right in front of my face, they are distracting and extremely annoying.I did not opt to get glare resistant lenses, because Ive never had them in the past, and have never had an issue. I called Pearle a few days after purchasing the lenses to let them know about the glare, I was told to come back into the store, that they may be able to adjust the angle to reduce the glare, or they could add the anti-glare onto the existing lenses at the additional cost of what it would have cost at the time of purchase.I then went into the store last night, advised the sales associate of my problem, she took the glasses to be looked at, brought them back to me and advised me nothing was wrong with them and the glare was normal, she stated that nothing could be done to the lenses, and I would need to order new ones to get anti-glare, which was the opposite of what I was told over the phone.I then proceeded to walk right next door to eyeglass world and told them the problems I was having. The staff were extremely helpful, and tried adjusting the glasses at no cost just to see if that would help. Unfortunately it didnt, but I went ahead and ordered a new set, frames and lenses, from them. The frame selection was bigger and better than their neighbors, and lower prices too, the sales associate took extra time to find discounts for me, and my insurance covered more with them than it did at Pearle Vision. I will be purchasing my glasses from eyeglass world in the future, their customer service last night was excellent, so much more friendly and helpful than Pearle Vision!

If youre in need of an optometrist in the Springfield area and are looking for anything positive to read about Pearle Vision, please read this.Ive been to this Pearle Vision on several occasions and my expectations are always met, even when I made my most recent appointment on such short notice. And Im a millennial - which, Ive heard, were difficult to impress.Dr. Gericke makes me feel comfortable, answers all my questions, and is genuine when he asks how work is going and how my health is outside my eye issues. He is also very clear and helpful when explaining new issues with my eyes and prescription changes.Most recently, Erin was also helpful when explaining how my insurance would cover my lenses, frames and upgrades, like a scratch resistant coat. As far as the rest of the staff in the room that night goes, they also had smiles on their faces and were doing their jobs, it seemed.If youre concerned about the wait time for your glasses, as some folks are describing in their reviews, I am under the impression that is at the fault of the insurance company. For example, I have VSP insurance - which has their own lens lab and will be shipping my new glasses to Pearle Vision.I havent received my glasses yet, but anticipate theyll be top-notch. I will certainly be back and will recommend them to my friends. And if you value that personal relationship everyone wants, but nobody can find in a business anymore, Id recommend it to you as well.

Just ordered a pair of glasses. Very small selection of overpriced frames and the upstairs staff was extremely rude. The doctor went on a political rant which made me feel uncomfortable. They arent horrible but this place has a lot of work to do before its a desirable destination.

The eye exam was excellent! Dr. Wheeler was great! I recommend this place for eye exams. Sadly, I cannot say the same about the sales floor. I was told my insurance wouldnt cover frames, come to find out their systems are either messed up or the associate helping me didnt have a clue what he was doing. Instead of helping and further investigating this problem, they sent me away. All the while, the other associate on the floor gave my sister and I terrible, dirty looks and scowls. Both associates were unprofessional and I will NEVER go back to Pearle because of the sales floor. They need to hire qualified, experienced people.

STAY AWAY FROM PEARLE VISIONMy husband visited pearle vision on May 30th. He had an eye exam with the Dr upstairs.My husband lost his glasses and I called to get his prescription and they have NO RECORD of his visit. His prescription had not changed, but it is EXTREMELY concerning that they do not update and keep proper records. We had to call a few places to remember where we purchased his glasses, but once we did they were able to fax us information where his prescription that was issued on May 30, 2018.Laura the regional operations manager for Pearle Vision argued that he was not seen for a visit and basically called us a liar. We now have a copy of his prescription expiring May 2019 so we do not have to communicate with Pearle Vision again... but I HIGHLY recommend that you steer clear from here.

Ive never enjoyed going to the eye doctor. Its always very stuffy & the doctors never seem to have much bedside manner. They want you in and out and sometimes you even feel like a bit of a nuisance to them. Not any more!Im so grateful to my husband for recommending me go to Pearle Vision for my latest eye exam. Im not going to lie, I looked up their reviews on Google and was a little hesitant but my husband raved about Dr. Hasson so I figured I would give it a try. Im so glad I did!This was seriously the best eye exam I have ever had. Dr. Hasson was fantastic! He was friendly and funny, performed his job with professionalism and experience, but actually took the time to converse with me. We talked about so many things during the exam. It was actually a lot of fun! The first time I can ever say that about an eye exam! And that was just the beginning!After the exam I went downstairs and spoke with a Ms. Brittany M. regarding new frames. She was professional and very good at her job, but also super friendly. We laughed and joked as she walked me through all the details, and she was able to help me find the perfect pair of glasses for me. I was leery about using this location after reading the reviews, however, Ive only used Pearle Visions in the past. I decided to risk it & am very happy I did. I saw Dr Kostelnik and was very pleased with my exam and his assistants were very friendly. So far so good, so I then decided to look at glasses, I was pleased with how attentive and knowledgeable their glasses department was. It was a little more than I anticipated but then again I have expensive taste and chose a Prada frame. I am very happy with my purchase and service I received. I will be referring my friends and family !!

Dont waste time or the effort on a Groupon for Pearl worst deal in world pearl advertised price is better than paying for the deal. and when was going to use a part and forfeit the remaining amount after I had the eye exam pearl was going to call the cops ended up paying more for a eye exam. Pearl was so over priced even higher than the other Pearl 40 miles away by a lot could have gotten 3 or 4 pairs at other glass stores, ended up going else were. I got my new glasses for about 20% of what Pearl charges.

I have been trying to get this $230 pair of glasses for LITERALLY three weeks. First, the one and only tech who could make lenses for rimless frames was gone for 6 days. Then, they used a substandard material that made me nauseous, so they had to ORDER a better material. That took 5 days. Theyve supposedly been working on them for the last 10 days. The two times Ive called to check on them, I got a shrug-off from the two different employees that was borderline rude both times.If you want mens frames, dont expect a selection. If you need your glasses on time, youd be taking a big risk on this place.P.S. this is the second time Ive gotten glasses here, and the first time took 5 days.

First off if you are considering the purchase of a living social, daily deals, or any other forms of deals for Pearl Vision DO NOT purchase it. Their glasses are EXTREMELY overpriced. After receiving my eye exam (included in my deal) I went downstairs to pick out my glasses and was shocked when I realized that the cheapest glasses that I could purchase where $139.99 and they were very outdated. If I wanted the more stylist glasses I was going to pay in excess of $200.00 and if that wasnt bad enough the sales person then told me that my single vision lenses where going to be $103 on top of the frames. My mom has bifocals and they told her it was going to be $230 for her lenses. After hearing this we both paid out of pocket for our eye exams (which was $58) and requested a refund for our living social deals. We then took our prescriptions to a different eyeglass place and found the exact same glasses that were at Pearl Vision for $289.99 for $79.99 and my lenses where $33.

Its not their fault as to what glasses they currently have in, but for me its all about the service. I was greeted everytime, which is exoected. But what threw me off was when Matt B. started singing, and I was like oh yes. Lets make a boy band and call it 2 direction, why 2 direction? Bought the groupon for $39 which gave me $220.00 towards a pair of glasses. Picked out a pair of frames I liked, ordered single vision lenses for reading, even bought extended insurance coverage and came to just $3.00 over the $220.00 allowance. So I got a great pair of glasses for $42.00.Since then my frames have broken twice and they have replaced them both times under my extended insurance coverage. The second time the frames were on backorder and they offered to give me a completly new pair of glasses lenses and everything!Very happy with the deal I got, love the frames I was able to purchase with my groupon, and every time I have called or gone in they have been very courteous and customer service focused.I would not hesitate to return to Pearle Vision!

Had my son get an eye exam at Pearle Vision and am so sorry I chose this place. Lots of confusion, they couldnt even find my sons info in their system at first and told me he must have went somewhere else. The manager lady spoke to me as if I was a complete idiot telling me there were lots of eye glass companies down that street and he must have went to one of them. Finally they get this straightened out and found that he had been there, twice in fact, and after telling my son his glasses would be ready in 2 hours, they tell me (4 hours later) that I had to come in and pay for the glasses before they would make them. Why did they not tell my son this 4 hours earlier? I was very upset with the customer service they provided and the manager laid the blame on my son saying he clearly misunderstood and should have seen the signs displayed stating payment was due in advance. These signs are not very big and I feel they should have verbally told my son this info due to the fact my son stated someone was coming in to pay and pick them up. People downstairs are wonderful and good customer service how ever the office staff upstairs and the dr have terrible customer service lack of communication will no longer be doing business with this location.

Worst experience at an eye Dr. I have ever had. First they messed up my lenses which caused me to have severe headaches,. I kept going back and they kept blaming it on the frame and saying it as changing because of the heat from my head causing them to change shape (it was winter time and I only wear them in my office). Finally after the 4th time, they realized they needed to fix my lens. Then I went back to see if I could get contacts and the Dr. reeked of cigarette smoke, was extremely rude.
