Until recently it had been many years since I had purchased my last pair of glasses from Shawnee Optical but the staff were always ready to provide good customer service when I would take my glasses in for minor repairs. I recently had an eye exam at Shawnee Optical and purchased a new pair of glasses. The optometrist and staff were very professional and patient and again provided good service. In my opinion this business is an asset to our community and I plan to continue to support them as a part of our local economy.
I got new glasses. I paid for all of the insurances they offer. I got very small scratches in my lenses and took them back to the Bechtle Ave location. Its been two months and Im being told that my repaired glasses are on hold without explanation. Meanwhile, Im without glasses.I deserve an explanation!
Ive gotten my eyes examined an have gotten serval pairs of glasses over the last couple years from then. I always get great service and products from them.
(-zero stars) very poor customer care. I waited for a refund for over 4 weeks. Everyone I spoke to would say 3-5 business days. Every Thursday or Friday they said they have hope it would be in my mailbox Saturday. They were putting me off. They had no problem taking the money but when it came to refund, they gave me the best run around. I will never go back. This place is terrible. Customers do not come first. Only when its convenient for them.
UPDATE:The manager did take care of the situation below, that resulted in a 1 star.Along with that, I gave Shawnee Optical another go at delivering a better experience. I ordered another pair of glasses. The process was smooth, the staff was more than helpful, and the order came in ridiculously fast!Great job pulling it together and coming through.Old review:Horrible experience, and still without glasses after SIX weeks!My wife and daughter went to Shawnee Optical to look at their selection of glasses. My daughter, 7 years old, required glasses to correct astigmatisms in both eyes with the hope of resolving her migraines. We needed to obtain the glasses as soon as possible.On January 20th, they tried on glasses, and on January 23rd, we called to set up the order. Angel told me that everything would be fine, and we would have my daughter’s first set of eyewear within two weeks. On February 1st, I call to check on the status of the order. The gentleman said he could not find the order and would have to check with Angel to see what’s going on. February 4th, I get a call back from the same gentleman. He said the order did not go through, they could not expedite, and it would be another two weeks. I called again on February 18th and he said I would get them “next Monday or Tuesday.” I called on February 22nd, and the office is closed for repairs and won’t be open until 03/01/2021. Today, 03/01/2021, I called, the office is still closed, and their voicemail is STILL full.Almost SIX weeks into the ordering process with no glasses for my child…..This would not have been easy to deal with if it was my order. However, since my seven-year-old daughter continues to have migraines, it makes it 100 times worse. I hope this review deters other parents from going through the same issue.

Dr Penny is an excellent eye doctor, very knowledgeable and caring. And all the staff members are wonderful as well, always helpful with adjustments to my eyeglasses and helpful with their extensive frame choices.
I had an eye appointment set up call to make sure I have the right address bc Im taking a cab. Come to find out the use pencil on their scheduling book and someone erased my appointment. It takes weeks to get into this place and they do this kind of stuff. I will go somewhere else. Glad I called before taking my cab I would had went off.
