I’ve been doing business with Ozark Coin for years and have found them to friendly and willing to share their knowledge. They have helped me by finding special coins I have been searching for.As for pricing everything I have purchased was at fair market or below.As I read the poor reviews it makes me think of customers that I have seen in the store trying to sell coins that are in bad condition and want mint condition prices for them, because that is what they saw online.I highly recommend this locally owned business.

Recently met and shopped with Ken and his lovely wife. Let me help with all the negative remarks. Ken is a business man whom is very busy. I am an amateur collector of specific items and Ken encouraged me what direction to go. Great advice. I didnt know he only takes cash so he held my beautiful purchase until I came back with cash. While there, someone came in with Painted coins and I thought he offered a very fair price. He even joked and bartered with me on an old low value pocket watch I wanted.He is a small business owner with extreme knowledge of his trade. Someone mentioned R&K. Talk about rude and rip off.Ken, thanks so much for taking care of me in such a professional and humorous way.. A joy to meet and do business with you and your wonderful wife. I will be a return customer for many years. Next time Im haggling.

We were inside for 15 minutes and ignored the whole time. None of the display cases had lights turned on, and were dark. While they did have a wide selection, their prices were slightly higher than the previous two coin stores we visited that day. When the staff finally acknowledged us, it was to tell us that if we werent going to buy, we needed to leave because they were closing.With plenty of friendlier local shops to go to, I dont think I will be returning to this one.

The man in this place acted like he didnt want to help me! He actually asked if I wanted him to look up the coins! He offered me $1000 for coins that are worth $4000. He wouldnt even give me the melt value for the gold coins. I had to leave before my mouth got me into trouble!

I went in to this place a year ago and not only was the young guy rude, uninterested and condescending but he acted like I was a thief and eyed me with a weird suspicion the whole time i was there. Trying to talk with him he seemed incapable of interacting. I would have rated him a negative number. I love Nixa gold and silver, they are nicer and pay more for your stuff. But Nixa gold was out of product so I came back to this guy. Seems he has been reading the reviews and is making an attempt to rectify his horrible customer service. Ill split the difference and give him three stars.

I went in today to buy Silver and they were patient and helpful. I got what I went in for at a reasonable price. I will be going back here for more.

I went here with a bunch of silver coins to sell not knowing much of the value of what I had but an idea of what I thought it was all worth. Had a nice discussion with the guy working he was very nice and he offered me more than I thought it was worth. Now I could have just been ripped off for all I know but I had a positive experience and felt what I was offered was fair for them to make money too. I recommend going here and have your price in mind before. You can always shop around or decline the offer if you’re unhappy!

This business is a JOKE. Overpriced, rude and just flat out disrespectful to customers. Save yourself the time, avoid this place at all costs.

They were rude over the phone and untrustworthy they will tell you valuable coins are not valuable at all so that they can try to take advantage of you if you dont know what you have. And they will not appraise coins that have flaws. Thats kind of the point.

Went into the store said 4 person capacity there were 2 people in the store and the door was locked finally got inside the guy in there was rude didnt even look at my coins just grabbed 2 that he liked and ignored the rest wont be back terrible customer service..

Small Family business. They made an appointment with me and treated me with respect. They compared prices and gave me a better price than I could ever get online. I have heard that some competitors dont treat women with respect and I did not get that experience at all!

I dont live in MO, and its always nice to find people who share some of the same interests whenever I get to travel. Today was no exception, when I walked into their store I was greeted. The man behind the counter ASKED AND LISTENED for what I was looking to buy. Then, he narrowed his search. Found one item and gave me a good deal. Very quick. Much appreciated. Thank you.

Kurt was amazing! He was super helpful as well as honest, which as we all know is super hard to find. Their business hours are also very convenient! It was so easy for me to walk in and be able to get my family’s collection appraised and sell/trade what I wanted to on the spot.

Went there today and was waiting outside in line because they were at max capacity (4 people) then out of nowhere he comes out screaming for everyone to get off his property cussing us out for no apparent reason. Was very confused. I was just trying to buy some of his stuff. Will never go back again. The guy was clearly on drugs.

I could not have been happier with Kurt, the owner. I checked numerous sites online and around Springfield and he gave me a very fair offer on some gold I had. He is knowledgeable and professional. I wouldnt go anywhere else with my precious metals or coins.

I went in not knowing anything about the coins and other things I had but was given what I consider an honest opinion of what I had. We were given honest opinions and prices. I sold alot of coins and I would say if you want an honest price and some jokes this is the place to go

Very nice people working today. took three kids in with me and we all had questions. the gentleman helping us had nothing but patience for my kids. the ladies in the store were super friendly and we enjoyed talking to them!!!! we got a good deal on the silver we purchased. we are VERY satisfied customers.

Hours say close at 5pm here 10 min till 5pm and its all locked up and no one is here. Great way to run a business bully not staying open till when they say they will. Horrible way to run a business.

Really great people who gave us a great price on our silver. Very knowledgeable about rare coins as well as silver and gold and very kind as well as professional. I am very happy that I found this place. This is the best place I have found for coin, gold, and silver exchanges. Highly recommended.

Was pissed when I left. Called before I came to get a quote. Described what I had to sell accurately. Received an “approximate” quote. When I arrived, the offer was $50 less. Bait and switch on the quote to what I was actually offered. Will NEVER go back. Received a much better offer down the street. It pays to shop around. I would avoid these guys.

My Mother and I went into the store with several of my late Grandfathers coins. Mom wanted more information and approximate values. The owner was completely rude and arrogant. He told my Mother that coin collecting was a dying hobby, that the younger generation were more interested in electronics. He told her the coins had no value and would never be worth anything. This was after his wife had looked over the coins, saying they were nice and that hed be interested. The owner while in his rant also said whats it say on the door??, Ive been in business how long?? This was all after being told my Grandfather was retired Air Force, Purple Heart decorated Veteran!! This owner was beyond disrespectful. Had the nerve to offer $10 on a coin that later was appraised at $550. After reading reviews, it seems this man is a con artist and a ripoff

The people that were working here are very rude and have no good customer service skills whatsoever. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Great selection of supplies but not much else. Not competitive in price. Customer service could, definitely should, be better. Clearly wasnt interested in helping me put cash in his pocket. Left there and drove to the shop in Nixa (MJ Gold and Coin) to spend my money.

Was given one price for silver coins, then when I made decision on a coin was given a higher price. Was told he wanted to keep “that” coin, So it would be a higher price if I wanted it. Do not recommend.

I have been in there a few times, the old guy is rude and the younger guy acts like hes pissed that youre there. Definitely dont feel welcome and hate doing business with them. I would recommend Springfield gold and silver buyers purely because the girl at the counter is nice, polite, and will answer any questions you have. Plus if youre going to sell dont go to Ozark coin. Once again i would recommend the Springfield gold and silver place or just selling online.

I must admit that my experience was awesome. Didnt feel out of place and the service was how I like it. Fast and to the point.I cant wait to get back into town and buy more!!!!

Stopped in today at Ozark Coin and saw a friendly familiar face. Gabe was there, who we have bought and sold coins from at your North Springfield store. I was sad when that store closed. Because we had a great sense of customer care and connection with Gabe. Gabe treated us the same today here. So we will be back again to deal with you here!!!!

One employee seemed to be arguing with his significant other on the phone when we came in. The young guy sitting behind the desk seemed to be bothered by our arrival. We were in the market for junk silver and he could not have cared less. When my husband asked questions, he barely answered, and never made eye contact; he either stared at the big screen TV or picked invisible lint from his clothing. For a place that purportedly wants to buy and sell, there seemed to be no motivation or desire to sell.....Im sure people that want to sell coins get treated even worse than the chilly experience we had. I highly recommend going to the place nearby on Battlefield (cant think of the name of the shop, unfortunately!) where the experience was completely delightful.

I first walked into this place with my boyfriend and everyone just looked at us and didnt speak, even the jerk who was working. There was no warm greeting and we definitely didnt feel welcome. I was expecting to sell some coins but he low-balled me less than half of what I deserved. Save your time and got elsewhere. Going nowhere to sell your couns benefits you more than selling to this guy.

So i found this store online, saw all the negative reviews, but decided to go visit them to see for myself. They really are a nice team. Knowledgeable and to the point. They dont sugar coat anything. Go and see them, dont pay attention to the negative reviews. I will definitely be going back.

Family owned, trustworthy and fair. Any bad reviews unfortunately come from customers with unrealistic expectations of what their coins are worth and what they could be resold at.

I would stay away from Ozark Coin Company, the place is a joke and the guy that runs it is a jerk. I guess he assumes everyone that comes in to his store is unintelligent and he can rip them off. I would recommend a different coin dealer!

I was hesitant to go into a coin shop bc of my lack of knowledge. I had general questions about collecting that the owner was happy to answer. He was so awesome I left with a smile and I will be back.

Ive tried going to this store 3 times very recently and each time they were closed before the hours posted on this website and their voicemail. Like just now I tried calling at 420pm and nobody picked up.
