Brought the truck for service. the issues on the suspension service message were wrong at the diagnostic when recommended a$586 for sensor replacement and programming. the issue was resolved at my house garage by simply adjusting the nut with a 7/16 wrench that holds the sensor in its place (on the chassis direct sight - no lift needed) on the running board not opening on the passenger side I was quoted $1500 plus to get a new whole unit installed... the issue is a broken washer inside the gear that actuates on the electric motor on the passenger side... unmount - extract the broken washer on the gear aid by magnets, replaced the washer and bearing with new ones and done ... the vibration issue on the steering when going thru gears was not replicated by tech, however still exist every time Im on the truck. sour taste after this service and end of lease coming...oil change was performed at gmc minchin standards.

Well, today was my first and most likely last time going to Minchin for service. I went in for an oil change which was fine and upon checking out was told I needed a new battery among other things. The thing is, I just got a new battery less than 3 months ago, so of course I was skeptical. Immediately after leaving the dealership and only paying for the oil change, I went to AutoZone to check my battery. Turns out my 3 month old battery is just fine! So now Im left to wonder if Minchin was trying to pull a fast one on me because Im a young woman or they are just scamming customers for the heck of it.

As a critical care nurse during this pandemic I was very disappointed to see employees wearing no mask, in fact the mechanic who brought me back my car was driving in it with no mask. I understand there are people who feel masks are not necessary and that is there choice but have respect for us who do. I immediately bleached wiped my car down. Also the service manager had her mask hanging off her ear... I also bleached wipe my keys she touched. Very disappointing

After months of searching for the right fit (SUV, 3rd row option, financial range, etc), we are VERY pleased with GMC of stamford. I promised myself after 12 years out of the car buying game I would never buy a Certified, but Leon really made us comfortable knowing our 2018 GMC Acadia Denali was a ballpark homer. We purchased an Acadia from them for my wife a year ago and had a great experience with Joe Z and the whole crew. So, when my daughter needed a car, we went back to them. We found a trade-in that she liked and were all set to buy it. In the course of certifying it, they discovered a problem with the vehicle. I know a little bit about cars and this would have been an easy problem to hide- and many dealers might have done just that. Instead, Minchin refused to sell it and kept looking until they found the right car in perfect condition (they returned the other to the manufacturer). THAT is why we go there. They arent out for the quick buck. They are building relationships. I trust them with my childrens safety. What greater praise can I give?

I’ve had a good experience with this dealer until recently. I returned a lease at the end of January, before its maturity date and still until today they haven’t submitted the paperwork to close my account to GM Financial bank. It is reflecting on my credit report as a delinquent account with a past due balance causing my credit to drop over 60 points!I’ve been in contact with the sales rep and left several messages to a manager without any response. GM Financial Bank has been contacting me claiming the dealer hasn’t returned their messages to confirm that I returned the car – which I don’t understand how there can be such a disconnect between a company.In my opinion, this very irresponsible of a dealer to do to a customer.

I went for a oil change on my Chevy Suburban 5/14/2019 everything was fine until they give me back my SUV and I found out that they stole my money $100 from my safe compartment. I told the service staff name Antony but all he said was sorry.Dear customer if you go to this place for any repair or oil change please don’t leave anything in the car you will regret if you do. I have to say that this was the best experience I’ve had while car shopping! I haven’t purchased or made my decision but the gentleman that helped me was incredible. I told him I wasn’t talking numbers today and I didn’t even want to get into it, he asked NO other questions except for which models I’d like to drive then acted accordingly. Car guys can usually be pushy and walk all over a 21 year old young woman like myself but he didn’t even try, and I can’t tell you how much that meant to me. I went to another dealer who couldn’t grasp that I was Not making a decision today and had me sitting there for an hour and a half before he even asked me the car I was interested in and wouldn’t stop talking about numbers. I would absolutely recommend this location especially if you’re just shopping!

Brought in my car for service. Oil change and a recall issue. Was billed for washer fluid even though I filled it myself a couple days prior. Total scam and rip off. I find no reason to continue coming here, my local mechanics are much more friendly but more important, honest.

I find it interesting that I had to leave a one star review to be asked to contact your dealership, when I have tried twice to come in and speak with the owner regarding my concerns. The response I received on both occasions was that Its going to be impossible for you to speak with the owner; please speak with our GM. I have no desire to speak with your GM as he is directly involved with my frustration. I have been left with no choice at this point but to feel that Mr. Minchin may be unaware of some of the things that go on there and the the way his staff speaks to customers. Should HE be interested in speaking, my number is on file.

My experience started out extremely well but when I had to cancel my order for my new car a week before I was to pick it up my warm friendly salesperson, Leon gave me the cold shoulder. They are still holding my $1,100 deposit and Leon has referred it to his manager. It has been 5 days and no refund. Dont trust this place or shop here. They dont know what the word customer service means.

Dealer refused to fix the issue with our car, even though it was under warranty. When we mentioned that it was the third time we were taking the car in for repairs on the same system (in the first three weeks of owning the car) and that we would be looking for a replacement if this happened again, they told us they could not work on the car. Im shocked that this dealer does not stand behind their work as they made the first two repairs. I also question the legality of refusing service, just because we talked about exercising our rights to use the Lemon Law. I would think a reputable dealer would stand behind their work to make sure the problem is solved. If it truly is a defect with the car, they would be able to help us swap for a new car.

Let me start by saying i absolutely love my trucks ... however it is discouraging to buy a vehicle that you cannot get serviced ... I would rather buy a car that is okay and get exceptional service then deal with this nonsense. I have a 2017 denali with 47k - yes i drive alot ... The transmission is not shifting properly which makes me nervous because i travel on the Merritt everyday... Let me add i just leased another Gmc from this dealer about four months ago --- My truck was a purchase from another dealer --- looking for an xl model now and was going to purchase at Minchin.... I called this morning explained what was going on --- the man on the phone was so rude i cannot even tell you ... I have a power train warranty up to 60,000 miles arguing with me --- oh well if its not the transmission your gonna have to pay ...Okay cool i need a loaner its so hard to get a baby a car to Stamford i work in westchester oh no we dont do that i can get you an enterprise but you have to pay for that too .... Bottom line: buy a Mercedes, or a Cadillac same price --- and let me tell you you go there with a problem you have a loaner car a cappuccino and a biscotti and your out the door ... I wish i never bought these cars i p[promise i will never own another gmc again.

I will most definitely buy my next Buick from Joe again.The agent described below was fired the day this incident took place. I was surprised at the speed of his dismissal. This dealership takes its service reputation seriously.THIS IS AMERICA. PEOPLE HERE PAY TAXES. Simon Krause, an agent at this dealer, hung up on me after uttering those words. I had to get another agent from this dealer.I have two things to say to Mr. Krause: (1) I am every bit as American as you are. I have been going to this dealership for the past 6 years for maintenance service of my fleet vehicle. Although, our company has an agreement with GMC for free service up to 75K Miles, the dealership service department always giving me hard time and refusing to service the car. They always try to make me pay out of pocket despite bringing with me documentation from GM that the car is under a special agreement. I have always felt as unwelcomed second tier customer.

Then they tried to sell me a four-year-old truck that was a 1000 More than the current years edition. That map doesnt really add up for me in a could explain it so I left

Not at all satisfied. Not at all! I had a body rot problem with my 2008 Sierra, which by the way is in pristine condition, not rot no rust at all except over the rear wheels.. GMC asked me to take it to a local dealer to have the dealer evaluate it. I went to Michin first. That experience was a complete joke, for example they said that my shock absorbents were rusted and rotted so that indirectly explains the rot in the body panels. I was so frustrated with my encounter with the service manager. I searched online for dealer reviews and discovered Ingersoll GMC in Danbury. Even though is was a greater distance away it was truly worth the effort. Every step of the process with Ingersoll was first rate, top of the line professional. A great experience and they agreed with me that there was an issue with the manufacturing of the bed. They had assisted with the repair cost and I called GMC corporate to let them know what I had experienced with each of the two dealers. Bottom line, Go to Ingersoll, end of story.

I hated it I placed my deposit for a car signed a few things they gave me a document and said they were gonna fix a few scratches. They called someone (wrong number) and said if thy didnt want the car they would sell it to someone else, anyways the person said yes and someone else bought the car and now i dont have the deposit money or the car. They dont have the greatest ways to work things out. I wouldnt reccomend This place!😡
