I fractured my wrist and needed to get some groceries .It was my first time at your establishment. The cashier I went to was extremely helpful, her Customer Service was was great . She informed on how to download the app for digital coupons for more savings she packed my bags and put them in my shopping cart . Caroline I believe her name was. I give credit when credit is due for that reason I rate 5 stars.

Its an okay market but prices are high and not worth it and the place is not very clean and well maintained. Better choices and better prices would help. Going to shop rite next time. Very inexperienced help behind seafood counter

Definitely on the smaller size of most acme but for all the people up Long ridge and high ridge road that dont have a grocery store nearby this is basically their first choice when they come out of back country. It also has a bank a five guys burger or gas station and many other stores right near there so to make it simple this is the first stop in Civilization for all the families that live back country Stanford

This store has gone seriously downhill since Acme took over. Way overpriced. No viable rewards system. Employees are rude. They let teenagers manage the place. If you shop near closing, they only keep one register open, no matter how long a line at checkout. I went for a single item at 9:30 and took me 25 minutes to wait behind two people doing their monthly shopping. I asked if they could open another register, teenaged manager refused saying they needed to get out of there at closing. Staff bickers and swears at each other in front of customers. This place is a last resort for me. Too bad because its the closest store to me. I leave my money with the Cignaris at Grade A, they know how to run a store. I miss Caraluzzis Market from when I lived in Redding!

Its small but very well stocked plus the staff are very personable. Great spot easy parking. Located next to Merit Parkway in the same mini mall with Five Guys Burgers, Walgreens, and a Bank. Very convenient one stop shopping. Thanks

This place, near Belltown, has essential items, good store hours. Aisles are somewhat small,a good go-to when Im in the area.

I also cramped and you have to look at the prices... Not always the best selection of fish.

Have you ever walked into a store and a sudden wave of sadness hits you? You look around and notice that nobody is happy to be there. That happens every time I walk into Acme. The workers are miserable. The other shoppers are miserable. I go here just for the Boars Head cold cuts at the deli and then I make a quick exit, but every time I leave here, I need a shower to wash away the sadness.

Good little grocery store

New to the area and acme is convenient to the house....so far so good, Ive been able to find everything I have gone in for...I must say though, they are a little pricey....but no more than having to go from store to store!

I literally arrive at 10:00 & 15 seconds and the employee closed the door in my face, I work in NYC and I come home to Stamford to buy my vegetable, the day before I clean my fridge and I was so much hangry and I could not buy my vegetable at the store and I starve all the night just because I have bad luck and mean attitude of one of this stores employee. Thank you ACME I promise I will never buy anything from there anymore what so ever

Checkout people are rude. Constantly talking bad about their own store. Produce is horrible and last only a day or two. But most importantly they do not remove expired items from their shelves. If youre not careful youll come home with spoiled food. Check even the most unlikely candidates......coffee. picked up a bag of SB coffee and it was months past its best used date.Might as well drive the extra few miles and go to a store thar cares.

Owned by Albertsons, which is the same company that owns Shaws. Do you remember Shaws when they operated in Connecticut? Terrible store. The lousy A&P that preceded it would get a 4 star rating versus Acme.

Nice market, small and very helpful. Only negative is that they are a bit more expensive than other markets.

Great butcher. Good place for meats. Good quality and cut & priced well. Produce is decent. Selection of dairy and non-dairy milk products is fair. ACME Organic products are nicely done and priced well too. Smiles at the cash wrap are not to be expected however if you treat the staff with kind smiles you will receive good service and kindness back.

Its Acme, no suprises!

Only use it because its close to where I live. Selection is very basic. Three times in a row the yogurts I were going to buy had expired dates. The shopping aisles and the check out aisles are way to narrow. Carts barely fit. Even worse they store so much of their stock in the middle of the aisles, especially the frozen food aisle. Makes it even harder to navigate. Drives me nuts shopping there every time I go.

Amazing cakes!

Plenty of parking available, and it has lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Their meats are real good. The only negative is that the aisles are too narrow.

Some good deals but I came across to mangers being terribly rude to their employees. Best thing to do is talk to them in private. I have a daughter and wouldn’t let her work here. Customer service workers are never at their station either.

No matter what the name is above the door the experience is always poor at this grocery store. Looking for something in particular? Good luck. If they had it last week does not mean theyll have it when you want or need it. Sadly, the story is similar all across town; getting everything you need and want requires trips to multiple stores.

This acme is on the small side. It is good for stopping as it is right next to parkway . The staff is nice and the store is clean . The parking lot is large and is easy to park. It has a few one ways that can be a bit tricky on your first time you visit . I would use this acme again .

Convient store for us ... right next to Starbucks. Large store personnel changeover since Acme took over ... for the better! Ali the front supervisor can solve any problem. She is my go to person if there is an issue. Deli folks are not the best ... almost always give you the wrong quantity of meat cut too thick.

Small supermarket so the selection isnt as big as Stop and Shop, but what they have is good. Produce is fresh. People are helpful. Pleasant shopping experience.

Great store! I cannot believe I have been working this company for 2 years now. I really enjoy this store because it is close to my house. Thanks to my supervisors Mrs. Lisa Fazzino as well as Mrs. Pattie Rider for giving this job. Really like the store.

Love going into the store it is always clean, the workers are all courteous and helpful when you cant find what you are looking for. They all speak to you when you walk by them. Great store environment.

Love this place. I like buying meat from Acme or Citarella. The only negative I came across today from Acme on High Ridge in Stamford, was the fact that a woman that seem to be a manager who wasnt very nice to an employee which I thought was in bad taste. The proper thing to do in a leadership role is to pull the young man aside who is an employee and speak with the him instead of belittling him and talking badly about him to the customers . I have an older son and I wouldnt want him to work in a place that he needed to walk on eggshells. The young man seemed as though he was completely stressed out to even ask for help when he accidentally scanned an item twice.

Over-priced and ordinary. They begin restocking shelves around 7:30 p.m., making it impossible to get through the aisles. One would think they would know how many people who live near the store commute to the city, and are just getting home at 7:30 or 8 p.m. I quit shopping there totally.

NEW OWNERSHIPFor the sake of fairness, all the reviews previously submitted referred to the past owner, A&P. Many of the employees seemed to be working for the new company. They are good responsive and hard working.This store is now ACME, owned by Albertsons, a major grocery chain located in Boise Idaho.The shopping Ive experienced is as good and in ways, much better than most supermarkets. I hope they stay on top of their game.

Prices are high and selection is slim, so I advise only going here if you are local and dont feel like driving too far to a different grocery store if you need only a few things. Even then, though, youll probably struggle to find what youre looking for.

It could be better for local super market. Pricing isnt great, neither is selection. The real gem here is the bakery staff. Muffins, donuts, cakes and other treats made in house are awesome.

A few months ago the old A & P became an Acme in Stamford, CT. At first the place seemed fine, enough help, prices were pretty good, the employees were very helpful Lately, my friends and I have noticed the prices creeping up and the service getting worse with fewer and fewer employees. Last week I asked an employee where to find an item and she stated that her shift was over and she couldnt help us and that they were short staffed. Today I went in to buy a few items. The line for the one open register looked like the bread line for refugees in a third world nation. One customer asked the customer service person if she could speak to the manager because the line was so long with no other lines open. She was told that the manager was not in and that she herself was not even supposed to be working customer service but that the store had cut the hours of the workers and they were short handed. She also stated that the store was getting what it paid for because they were so cheap. I was at customer service at that moment because the store had overcharged me for tissues. The employee said she didnt know how to do a refund because she wasnt supposed to be behind the customer service counter and that the store had cheaped out and cut workers hours. Then she said she had to go because her shift was over. Meanwhile one of the cashiers had come over to ask her for help but she said she couldnt help because she was very busy and it was time for her to leave. This employee at customer service was obviously overworked and not given training in customer service but had to fill in because the store is not hiring enough employees. I heard one customer say she didnt have time for this and she left her cart full of food and left the store. By the way...I forgot to mention...they were selling outdated macaroni salad on the shelf. The old A & P wasnt the greatest but Ill take them back in a heartbeat!

Has improved A LOT since it first opened. Kind of small for a grocery store but they have what I need most of the time.

Sometimes I go to the deli department. Everytime I go I get a pound of plop. The cold cuts should be stacked so it is easy to make a sandwich. Making a sandwich should not be a production. Oh well!!!

Horrible selection no healthy choices available stopped by cause its much closer to my house then stop and shop amd now I have to go to stoo and shop since I could not find anything to even hold me over (dairy and egg free) meanwhile everyotjer grocery store has at least some options... its sad cause its so convenient yet so horribly stocked and way more expensive to boot! I guess ill stick to Trader Joes and stop and shop everything

This is now the second time that I purchase poultry that is dated within the sell by period and arrive home with a rotten product. Produce and vegetable are are not fresh either. I have shopped at this store for years and I no longer have comfort or trust that products are safe to consume. Its the worst it has been so far. Its also a waist of time when you have to go back to return the item and purchase it at another store.

Very confusing layout. Limited selection. This location does not stock the usual groceries you would find at other Acmes or their competitors. Coupons from the Acme website specific to this location do not correspond to the items they stock, and are therefore unusable.

Worst key lime pie...ever. Cashiers are unfriendly.. store was better when it originally switched from A&P. Chicken used to be thin sliced now its hit or miss..they stopped caring.

Unbelievably unprofessional manager Luis who’s head is to big for a position of manger. Incredibly rude and cruel to employees. Employees don’t speak up in fear of retaliation from the lilttle big guy Luis. Clear example of someone who should never be ina management position unless they are just managing themselves and their ego.

Overpriced, the aisles are too narrow, not enough cashiers. I went in to just get yogurt and it took twenty minutes to leave. The one good thing I have to say is that it was clean.
